Dear Gale,
I must admit that I was shocked to hear from you I haven't heard from your mother since you were born. I have wanted to talk to you and your siblings but I felt that it might not be polite to barge in where I may not be welcome.
I am happy that you want to learn about me as much as I want to learn about you, I feel that aunt and niece should be friends and not just people heard about once in a blue moon.
How is your mother and your siblings to be honest you are not the child I expected to hear from.
