Camping Chapter 5

"Victoria. Are you awake?"

Vic sat up groggily. "Who's there?"

"It's me, Amy."

"Amy? What's up?"

"Do you want to join us for breakfast and a hike?" Amy asked.

"When?"

"Right now."

Jimmy and Jessica looked at each other having been woken up by the noise.

"Give me a minute, Amy. Let me ask my parents."

"I'll wait at the picnic table." Amy said.

Vic looked over at her mom and dad. "Can I go?"

Jess looked at Jimmy and he nodded. "It's ok with us if you want to go. Just be back here by noon to check in with us."

Victoria nodded. "Ok, mom and dad.

"We're going to run to the restroom while you get changed. Be right back."

Jimmy and Jess exited the tent stopping at the table to say hi to Amy. "She'll be out in a minute. We'll be right back." Amy nodded.

A few minutes later, Jimmy and Jess returned to their campsite when Vic emerged from their tent. Jess checked her daypack to make sure she had water, snacks and a change of clothes. Jimmy handed her some money in case she needed it.

"Thanks mom and dad. See you in a few hours." It was 7:30am.

Jimmy and Jess watched their daughter and friend walk away and turned to face each other. Jimmy grinned at his wife, giving her a passionate kiss. "What should we do first now that we are alone, my darling wife?"

Jess grabbed her husband's hand, pulling him to their tent. Once inside the tent after zipping it up, Jess lifted Jimmy's sweatshirt over his head. "It's getting a little warm in here, don't you think so my handsome husband?"

Jimmy grinned at his wife. "Most definitely." He then lifted Jess' sweatshirt over her head before sliding her sweatpants off, leaving her naked.

Jess grinned at her husband while sliding his sweatpants off, noticing that he was just as turned on as she was. The newlyweds crawled back into their sleeping bag intertwining their bodies while exploring every inch of each other bringing untold pleasure. "I'm close, my husband. That feels soooooo good."

"I'm close, too my gorgeous wife. Come with me."

Jimmy and Jess locked their lips together as they brought each other to bliss.

Jess grinned at her husband as they came down from their high. "I think we owe a thank you to the Fireside Girls."

Jimmy chuckled. "If Vic wants to join I'm all for it."

Jess laughed. "As long as she doesn't find out the reason."

Jess rolled her husband onto his back kissing him senseless. "I think we should take full advantage of our alone time. Don't you?"

Jimmy grinned and nodded. "Of course my beautiful wife. Are you ready for round two?"

Jess laughed and reached down to find that Jimmy had recovered. She straightened up sliding her husband inside her. She placed his hands on her breasts as she rode him bringing greater and greater pleasure to them both. After several minutes of immense pleasure, Jimmy and Jess reached a wonderful climax at the same time. Jess collapsed onto Jimmy panting into his ear. "I love you my Jimmy." She whispered. Jimmy hugged her tight and whispered into her ear. "I love you my Jessica."

They held each other until it became too warm in the tent to stay without opening the flaps. They decided to put on their swimsuits and cool off in the campground swimming pool.

Gage and Paul went to Homeland Security to talk about the threat of a drug infusion from the cartels. They met with Deputy Director Keith.

"How can I help you gentlemen?"

"We believe that one of the cartels is planning to use our wilderness areas and National parks as drop zones to bring in drugs." Gage responded.

"Why do you think that? What is the basis for you're the threat?"

Paul answered. "I overheard someone talking about bringing in drugs into Maryland at our ship's last port. When we docked in Norfolk, I drove up to Maryland to see if I could learn anything more. When in Maryland, someone knocked my car off the road into a river. I'm lucky to be alive."

"Glad you survived. Has your accident been investigated?"

"Yes, by NCIS. Unfortunately they were unable to find anything yet. It's been a couple of weeks now and they stopped looking."

"I understand. So, why do you think they are planning on dropping drugs into our National Parks?

Gage spoke up. "It's been done before. I believe the cartels want to do it on a larger scale."

"Based on what information? We don't have the resources to provide manpower to a theory. We need something concrete. Come back when you do."

Gage was disappointed as he wanted to stay in DC for a while. He knew Jess was off limits but still wanted to see her. He decided to go to the National Park Service DC office to see if he could learn anything. When he and Paul got there, Gage showed his badge and got access to the computer terminal.

"Did Jess say where they were going camping when you went to NCIS?"

Paul shook his head. "Only that they were going camping and would be back on Tuesday."

Gage logged onto the system and did a search for Jessica Knight reserving a campsite. The search came up empty.

Paul said "You forgot that she changed her name. It's Palmer now."

Gage grunted and changed the search criteria. This time he got a hit. "They're at Shenandoah National Park. I knew it."

"Knew what?"

"She went back to the park where she last saw me. She's hoping to see me again or at least bring back memories of that last visit."

"You're delusional Gage. She saw you in all your glory and still chose the doc. Get a grip on your ego."

Gage looked at his friend. "You're right. I can't believe I lost. I hate losing."

"Didn't Paula at Franco's peak your interest? She's pretty and has a great body."

"And fake as a three dollar bill. Too much of a city girl for me. Definitely not my type."

"Well, we can try Cowboy Club. You'll find more outdoorsy types there."

"Maybe. Let's go to Shenandoah in case we see something going on."

Paul shook his head. "I'll go with you as long as you stay away from the Palmers."

"OK. I promise." Gage didn't mean it.

Victoria had a blast with Amy and her friends and returned to the campground at noon. Jimmy fired up the BBQ and was cooking some hamburgers. Jess was making a salad and guacamole to go with their chips. Vic hugged her mom. "You're wet. Did you go swimming without me?"

Jess chuckled. "Yes. Your dad and I wanted to cool off. We can go back to the pool if you want."

"I'd rather go tubing."

Jimmy brought the burgers over to the table. "That sounds like fun. What do you think Jess?"

Jess nodded. "That does sound like fun. Go put your suit on while we finish getting lunch ready."

Vic emerged from the tent in her swimsuit her dad bought her in Orlando. They sat around the picnic table and added toppings to their burgers just the way they like it.

"So Vic, what did you do with Amy and the girls?" Jess asked.

"We ate breakfast, played some games and took a hike."

"Sounds like you had fun. What did you and dad do before swimming?"

Jess turned pink so Jimmy decided to answer. "We went back to sleep. Your mother didn't want to get up so early," he said teasing Jess while answering Vic. Fortunately Vic didn't notice her mother's blush.

Vic noticed Jess' black string bikini she was wearing under her cover up. "Is that new mom?"

"Yes, your dad bought me a few bikinis in Bermuda. This is one of them. Do you like it?"

Vic nodded. "It's very nice. I like my new swimsuit too."

After they finished eating and cleaned up their dishes and the BBQ, they decided to head up the river to go tubing. Jimmy planned ahead and packed rash guards for all three of them and they put them on. He also brought rubber shoes for everyone to protect their feet from rocks.

A short drive up the road brought them to the parking area for UberTuber. There was a building full of inner tubes, gas cylinders to fill up the tubes, a souvenir stand and supply stand to buy coolers, drinks and water tight containers for keys and such. While they were waiting in line a bus pulled up dropping off earlier tubers.

When they got to the front of the line the worker asked "Have you been with us before?"

Jimmy shook his head. "No. How does this work?"

"You decide how far you want to ride. There are several places to pull out of the river marked by large signs with numbers on them. There are five of them. Make sure you don't go past sign 5. A bus will bring you back here. Depending on how many stops you make, it takes about 2 and ½ hours to get to the end."

The Palmers all nodded and were handed their tubes and told where to go to the river. Seeing several tubers carrying styrofoam ice chests. Jess decided to ask one of the women tubers what they were used for. The woman was very nice and explained that they filled the chest with ice and put it in a small tube attaching it to the other tubes by bungee cords.

"Great idea." Jess said. We'll do that next time."

"You can buy one at the store right here. Fill it with drinks. You'll be glad you did."

Jimmy looked at Jess and nodded. "Will do. Thanks." Jimmy went to the store and Jess and Victoria stayed with the tubes.

A few minutes later, Jimmy returned with an ice chest full of drinks, snacks, sandwiches, a small tube for the ice chest, and cords to connect their tubes. The Palmers stopped to put on sunscreen and their floppy hats and went into the water floating down the river. Jimmy reached out and took Jess' hand and Jess took Vic's hand. The three Palmers grinned at each other enjoying the relaxing section of the river knowing that it would get more exciting when they reached the rapids.

Pedro Montanero watched from his office overlooking the warehouse below. The latest shipment of fentanyl had arrived this morning and was ready to be shipped out. He turned to a map of the eastern United States trying to decide where to drop the first shipment. He picked up a dart from the dart board and walked five paces back from his map. He closed his eyes and threw the dart at the map. Walking closer, he took a close look at where the dart landed. "Mmmmmmmm." Pedro said to no one. "Shenandoah National Park."

Paul and Gage reached the Big Meadows campground ranger station. Gage went to the desk and showed his badge. "Agent Winchester. Welcome." Ranger Rick Smith said to him. "What brings you here to our park?"

"I'm looking for a friend of mine. She's staying at the campground."

"I haven't seen any single ladies hanging out down there you'd be interested in. There are a lot of families and some Fireside Girls."

Paul spoke up. "She's here with her family."

"Go down to the campground then and look around for her and family. It's a big place, so good luck."

Gage and Paul thanked Ranger Rick and headed down to Big Meadows.

About fifteen minutes later they reached the campground stopping at the office. "Can I help you gentlemen? I hope you're not looking for a campsite here. We are full. There are spaces available at a different site."

Gage showed the clerk his badge. "We're looking for a friend of ours. Here name is Jessica Knight. I mean Palmer."

The clerk looked at the site list. "The Palmer family is in site T27 in the tent area. I don't know if they are there right now but you can check. Are you going to want to stay in the park tonight?"

"Not sure."

"Come back if you do. I can find an available place for you."

Gage and Paul took a site map and headed toward the Palmer family campsite.

About an hour into their tubing ride, they spotted a nice beach to pull over and stretch their legs. They could hear the rapids a short way ahead and realized this was a popular place to stop due to the number of tubers that stopped there too. Each pulled their tube to shore and Jimmy opened up the ice chest, passing out the drinks and snacks. "Would you like a sandwich?" he said to his family.

What kind did you buy, dad?" Victoria asked.

"I got tuna salad, ham and cheese, turkey and chicken."

"No PBJ? Jess asked with a grin.

Jimmy laughed. "Not hermetically sealed."

Victoria looked at her parents. "Is that some sort of private joke between you two?"

Jess nodded. "Yes sweetheart. It's a long story."

Vic smiled. "You better tell me one day."

Jimmy laughed. "We will."

Victoria chose the tuna, Jess the turkey and Jimmy the ham and cheese.

"Do we need to be concerned about the rapids? Vic asked.

"No. They aren't very big but a fast and fun. Make sure you watch out for the big rocks and push off them with your feet."

After making sure everything was secure, the Palmer family floated back into the river.

Pedro Montanero called his pilot up to his office. "Are you ready to go amigo?"

"Si, senor."

Pedro went over the map with him to show him the three drop zones, all in the Shenandoah. He had three teams of two men each to go in after the drugs. They were going into the national park in a RV and dirt bikes. The campground they had a reservation in was Big Meadows.
