I am sorry for the delay!
Sometimes life is busier than expected!
But now, enjoy!

All Kol wanted to do was to spend his last hours with Davina and for that he had planned something nice.
"I am not putting that blindfold on!"
"Come on, darling! Trust me!"
Davina sighed. "You know you cannot dispose of me!"
Kol rolled his eyes. "No, where would be the fun in that!?"
So Davina finally agreed and trusted Kol not to do something shady. He carried her so Davina had no idea where they were, but they were still at the compound and suddenly the night air touched her face.
"Ready?" She nodded and Kol relieved her of the blindfold.
They were standing on the rooftop looking over the whole quarter with all its lights and colours. Faint music was playing somewhere in the background.
"Kol, this is so beautiful." Davina leaned against him and Kol put an arm around her.
"You can almost see the whole quarter from up here." He told her and looked around.
"This is great." She whispered and caressed his cheek with her hand looking into his eyes. They stood there for a moment without moving. She tried to memorize his brown eyes that looked so softly at her. "Kol, I really like you. Whatever everyone else is telling me, I know that there is so much more to you, and enough to make me like you."
He sighed and bend down to kiss her warm lips. These feelings that started to grow inside of his guts were new to him. It was all warm and fuzzy and it reminded him of his lost magic. And he just knew that now that he had a taste of it, he never wanted to let go which just made this so much harder.
"I don't want to go." He suddenly admitted in a small whisper.
"I know." Davina said hugging him tightly and closing her eyes. "I don't want you to go either. I will find the last ingredient and finish the spell!"
Kol nodded. "I am so glad I met you, Davina Claire." He cupped her face in his palms. "One last dance?" He asked and held her close to his body, breathing her in as they swayed to music only they heard. "All those stars and somewhere there is a guy and his girl dancing, and they've got all the time in the world." He whispered. "And I hate him."
"How can you joke right now?"
"I am not." His look was earnest.
They kept swaying to the music.
"Promise me that you will be safe!" Kol said and stared at her. "Do not chase after Silas! I need you to stay away from him!" His heart broke at the thought of her getting hurt without him being able to help her. She had to do it all on her own. And it would all be his fault! He really hated his stupid cursed family for this!
"I'll be fine, I promise."
He laughed at the irony. "Finally, I found someone I want to keep safe and yet here I am dragging you into this mess."
"Don't talk like that." Davina told him caressing his cheek and pressing a sweet kiss to his lips.
They sat down next to each other on the roof top like they had on their first sort of date. Kol had brought a blanket he could put around Davina so she wouldn't get too cold. They sat there for hours enjoying each other's company.
"It's time." Kol said suddenly.
Davina looked at him with tears in her eyes. It was hard to swallow and her heart ached as a sob escaped her throat. "I will see you soon." She rasped hoarsely.
Kol smiled at her and reached a translucent hand out to touch her cheek. "This is not good bye, Davina Claire!"
There was a gush of wind and he was gone. Like the flame of a candle blown out, the wind had simply blown him away and Davina stared at the empty spot. Her shoulders shook from her sobs and she held the treble clef in her hands turning it over and over again.
She didn't know how long she had sat there on top of the roof, but as it became colder, she could think clearer and tried to breath evenly. She had a task at hand and there was no time for tears.
He would be back!
After a while she got up to walk to her room.
Elijah and Rebekah met her on her way. "He is gone." She sniffled.
Rebekah stepped forward and hugged her. She looked at Elijah and had tears of her own in her eyes.
"I know, it hurts now." She whispered. "It will be fine."
Rebekah hadn't seen Davina the whole morning so she decided to see if she was all right. Worried she knocked at her door.
"Davina, you need to eat something." Rebekah entered with a plate of food in her hand. "Bloody hell, what is this!?" She exclaimed as she saw all those papers and marks all over the room. Davina's hair was a mess and she spoke to herself walking up and down like a lunatic.
"Davina!" Rebekah put the plate down. "Davina, listen to me!" She held her in place. "You need to stop this now, please, this is madness!" But Davina looked as if in trance. She didn't even notice her phone ringing. As Rebekah read Josh on the screen, she decided to pick it up.
"Hello?"
"Davina?"
"It's Rebekah, you are Davina's friend Josh, right?"
"Yes. Where is she? I haven't heard from her in days!"
"Can I trust you, that you are not working with Marcel?"
"Yes, you can."
"Good. I'll text you the address, Davina could need a friend right now." She hung up on Josh and texted him the address. Then she called for her brother. As Elijah entered the room he was as startled as Rebekah. "Goodness, heavens."
"Her friend Josh called and I told him to come."
He nodded. "Good idea. Is she in a trance?"
"I am not sure."
Josh didn't need long to arrive and Elijah showed him to the room. "Holy moly! Davina! Davina, snap out of this!" He shook her violently and she suddenly looked at him. "Josh!"
She threw her arms around him. "He is gone, Josh!"
"Davina, we will take a walk now, okay? Come on, go clean yourself up and we will take a nice long walk, I will bring coffee, okay?" She nodded.
He sent her to the bathroom and looked around the room. "I didn't think it was this serious." Josh widened his eyes at the mess he saw everywhere.
Elijah looked glum.
"I think, no one did." Rebekah answered honestly. "And again Kol destroys lives."
"Rebekah, please." Elijah said.
"Sorry, that was inappropriate." Rebekah relented.
"Marcel wants Davina back, he fears that he cannot keep up the pretence much longer." Josh said and Rebekah glanced at Elijah.
"Leave Marcel to me." With a plan she walked out of the room, glad to have something to do. She would find Marcel and distract him from his task at hand. Josh and Elijah watched her go, then Elijah turned to Josh.
"Please, don't stray far from the compound. There is a witch who is after Davina, his name is Silas and he can take any form that he wants to. He cannot get into the compound, Kol and Davina made sure it is protected."
Josh nodded. "Okay"
"Make sure that she is safe."
"Why do you keep her safe?" Josh asked and Elijah looked at him for a moment before he answered.
"She is important to Kol, which makes her important to our family."
Josh nodded. "That's good to know."
Davina came out of the bathroom looking cleaner, but sadly not better.
Elijah looked at her. "Stay close to the compound, but do get out of here for a while." He fetched his phone out of his pocket and handed it to Josh. "Please, put your numbers in here and save mine. If you need anything, I am only one call away."
Davina swallowed and nodded. "Thanks."
There was a small green park close to the compound which was where Josh and Davina were headed. The fresh air was a blessing and Davina was glad she had Josh to talk to.
"So, you have a boyfriend now?" Josh asked and smirked.
Davina sighed. "I…maybe…I don't know! God, I hate this! He told me that he liked me and we kissed and…"
Josh nodded. "I get it and now he is gone, before you could actually define what you are."
Davina nodded.
"He is infuriating and charming and somewhere along that line I fell for him. I don't know when, but he made me smile and it felt so good." She told her friend. "He got me out of the church and he protected me. And now I don't know what to do without him." She sniffled.
"Well, knowing you, you already have a plan to bring him back. Is that possible?"
Davina nodded. "There is a way, but the spell isn't finished yet. I still need one last ingredient."
"You will find it, Davina! But please, take a break now and then, will you?"
Davina tried to smile.
"I am sure that Kol wouldn't want you to go mad." Josh added.
"He would be furious." She relented and chuckled lightly.
Josh smiled. "Good! Sounds like he is sensible enough after all."
Davina nodded. "He has always protected me." She said.
Sophie Deveraux had been sneaking around the compound of the Mikaelson's, because she wanted to keep an eye on the Originals. They had promised to help them get rid of Marcel. But she did wonder if they were true. Elijah Mikaelson had called her and told her that they needed a witch willing to practise magic. She wouldn't have to be afraid of Marcel, he would take care of that. There were whispers of his brother's disappearance and she wondered if they were true. She surely hadn't seen him leave the compound. But she was patient enough.
And then her eyes became as big as plates as she watched the traitor witch suddenly leave the compound with a vampire at her side.
Was this where she had been hiding all along?
Impossible!
All excited Sophie pulled out her phone and texted the whole coven to meet her at the cemetery. She had news! And what kind of news she had!
Was Davina Claire involved with the Originals? That could be a problem.
But the whole coven surely was able to find a way!
Sophie Deveraux wasn't the only one watching the compound. There was another witch lurking in the shadows. Silas had traced her all the way back here.
And he watched the brown haired witch leave the compound with her vampire friend. He smirked. It was too easy. He would simply grab her as quickly as possible, but then something else caught his attention.
There was a young woman nearby watching too. He immediately felt that she was a witch and as she saw the other young witch leaving the compound, she quickly started to tap around on one of those small black slices everyone was carrying around these days. He watched her looking at the girl with so much disdain and hatred in her eyes for one more time, before she left that he became curious.
He got this particular feeling that she could be useful to his cause and so he decided to follow her.
At the cemetery the whole coven was already there as Sophie arrived. They looked at her curiously and noticed her angry face.
"What is so urgent that you set up a gathering, young one?" One of the older witches asked and crossed her arms. The others watched curiously. No one dared to set up a gathering out of sheer boredom. It must be important what she had to tell.
Sophie stepped right into the middle and looked for everyone's attention.
"I have found her! The traitor!" She announced and immediately there were gasps and whispers filling the air of the cemetery.
"What?"
"Where?
"How?"
"She is at the Mikaelson compound." Sophie explained. "I watched her leave the premises."
"What is she doing there?" Someone asked.
"Is she involved with the Original's?"
"I heard Klaus was missing."
"Does it matter? We know where she is, now we can finally get back at that little beast!" Sophie's hand was clutched in a tight fist and her eyes looked wild. There were more whispers. "We will seize her and take our freedom back! She will not rat us out to the vampires anymore!"
"Yes!"
"Kill her!"
"Finally!"
The eldest of the coven raised her hands to motion for silence. "Sisters, we have searched for a long time! Now we finally can get our revenge for being supressed for all this time! But we must be wise about this. If the Originals protect her, nothing can go wrong!"
"Maybe, I can be of help." Silas said suddenly stepping into their midst. The witches craned their necks and stared at him curiously. He appeared as a handsome young man.
"And who might you be?" The elder witch asked.
"I am a traveller and I need a witch with powers like that young girl."
"What do you want with her?"
"I am going to use her to bring down the Other Side and free the witches from the vampires. We shall never again be subdued! We are stronger than the vampires!"
It was silent for a moment. "If you help me, I will promise you great power and freedom!"
"What about Davina? We want her dead for what she did to us!"
"She will die bringing down the Other Side."
The witches looked open for discussion now.
Josh and Davina quickly ran back to the compound always turning around and casting a quick glance behind them. Josh held himself back to run along at Davina's pace.
"Almost there." She gasped as she listened to the heartbeat in her ears from the exercise.
Their feet were too loud on the concrete, but then again they weren't trying to hide, but to get away. As soon as they passed the door they slowed down and it took merely three seconds for Elijah to arrive at one of the balconies. Concerned he looked down at them:
"What happened?" He had kept an ear on the front door to monitor their return. As he heard them running he vamped to them ready to fight off any enemies who were following. Alarmed he looked behind them, but no one seemed to follow them so far.
"We saw Silas, well, I think I did." Davina rasped and tried to catch her breath. "I am not sure, though. Just got a bad feeling." She bent forwards needing a minute. "Can Josh stay here for now?" She asked "I don't want him out there."
Elijah nodded. "Of course, he can. There is a guest room ready two doors down from your room."
"Thank you." Her heart slowed down slowly. She wasn't sure what she had seen, but she wasn't keen on finding it out, especially now that he emotions were all over the place.
Then she smiled at Josh: "Come on, I'll show you the house." She grabbed his hands and pulled him along.
Seeing this Elijah realized once again how young she was. He looked gravely at the empty entrance, before he went back inside. They needed more allies.
Later that evening Josh and Davina met Elijah in the kitchen and to their surprise he offered to make some homemade pizza. Davina smiled. She felt so much better now that Josh had taken her mind off things and she really started to like Kol's brother. At first she had been scared him that distant and rather expressionless face, but the closer she got to know him, the more she felt like she could read him. Elijah just had the perfect poker face.
Josh and Davina actually spend a very lovely evening with Elijah.
And as it got time for bed, Davina rummaged through Kol's closet to find a sweater she could wear. She felt cold and wanted to be comfortable, so she wondered if she might find a fluffy sweater in Kol's closet that might even still smell like him. As she pulled out a drawer she stopped as her hand hit a wooden frame. She took the photograph out of the drawer and looked sadly at it.
It was an old black and white photograph of the Mikaelson siblings standing on a wide wooden staircase with a glass in hand raising it to the camera. Davina's finger travelled over Kol's face and her throat felt thick. The picture looked so incredibly old and Kol looked just like he always had. She couldn't help but feel as if Kol had already been dead for ages and she was afraid of forgetting his voice. She breathed soundly and sniffed.
There was also Rebekah looking pretty as ever and Elijah and that must be Klaus. Davina realised just then that she had never seen him before.
She grabbed a sweater that did smell more of washing powder instead of Kol, which she should have expected all along. Before she went to bed, she put the picture onto her nightstand to stare at it as long as she was still awake.
At some point her eyelids became so incredibly heavy that she could not hold them open any longer, so she decided to rest them just for a minute. Only for a minute, because she wanted to look at Kol a bit longer. However, she fell into a deep slumber without noticing it.
Suddenly Kol was in front of her offering his hand along with that roguish grin on his face. "Come on, I want to show you something!"
Davina's heart stuttered and she smiled at her dream. "Where are we going?" She asked. Everything was blurry at the edges and with Kol being the only sharp thing she decided that it had to be a dream. She smiled and felt so lucky to be able to hear his voice even when it was only a dream.
"It's a surprise!" He winked. "Come on!" He grabbed her hand and pulled her along with him. Davina laughed.
They were in a forest and there were rays of sunshine peeking around a few tree trunks making it all warm and fuzzy. It smelled of pine cones and Kol led her by her hand.
However, the scenery suddenly changed and Kol disappeared. There was a great black nothingness in front of her, but she wasn't alone. "Kol?" She turned around, but there was nothing and goosebumps were starting to spread on her body.
A woman appeared next to her and her bracelet warmed and pulsed with magic.
"What is going on?" Davina asked.
"Davina, child, you are in a dream."
Davina frowned and looked around but the forest was gone and there was nothing anymore. She looked at her wrist then at the woman in front of her.
"Marie Alice?" She asked and the women nodded and smiled. "You are my ancestor."
"It is nice to meet you, Davina."
"Why are you here?"
"I am protecting you. Silas tried to get to you." Davina widened her eyes.
"Silas!?"
"He is dangerous and you have to stay away, also you need to stay away from the vampires. They are no good for you. They brought Silas and you are obsessing." She told Davina who nodded.
"I know Silas is after me, but I am not afraid! And…what about Kol? I cannot abandon him. I know you have a history."
"A Mikaelson cannot be trusted, I am afraid, even a Mikaelson who was once one of us. They will always turn against you to protect each other."
"But what if I tell you that Kol changed? He isn't like that anymore. And I think…I think I love him." As she spoke the words, she realised they were true. Now that he was gone, she felt it more fiercely than ever before.
"Please, I need him."
Her ancestor sighed, but smiled all the same. "Kol Mikaelson has always been a charmer. He knows his way with the ladies."
"He has been protecting me and I promised to bring him back."
Marie-Alice looked at her. "I see that I cannot persuade you. Claire witches are stubborn that way. Davina, you will have to deal with the consequences."
"I will."
"Fine. So, I will help you. You need the ashes of the dead and what will run through their veins and you will need more power than you have. As for Silas, you need to bind his soul." Her ancestor shook her head sadly. "Be careful, child." And then she was gone.
Davina gasped opening her eyes. He feet were ice cold and she looked around in surprise. She wasn't in her bed. She was standing in the hallway. "What is going on?" Her eyes were wide. She must have bee sleep walking. Goosebumps raced over her arms as she noticed that she had been walking a long way from her bedroom to where she was now. She had never been sleep walking before.
Slowly she made her way back to her room and tried to recall her dream.
And suddenly she felt as if a switch had been turned in her mind. All of a sudden, the answer to her problem was right in front of her.
"I think I know the spell now!" She whispered and raced to her room. Somewhere deep down she knew that she should be afraid and concerned about her ancestor mentioning Silas, but she wanted to focus on the spell for now. Kol was all she could think about.
In her room, she gathered the spell and her eyes raced over the words. All she saw was the spell and what was still missing for it to work. She gasped and pulled at her hair. How could she have not seen it before!
