"So Graham, why did you and Ace want to talk to Maria and I about?"

"How would the two of you feel being our witnesses?"

"What do you mean," asks Ryan.

"Ace and I are planning to get married, but we don't want a big wedding."

"What about Tegan and Nyssa?"

"They would put up a big fuss," Ace says while rolling her eyes, "I mean I love them and all in all, but I want this to be with just Graham and I. We went to the register's office and applied for everything that we needed to. We are just now in a waiting game."

"I would be glad to be a witness," Ryan says now looking at Ace and Graham who have some of the biggest smiles on their faces.

"I think it would be great to be a witness to your union."

"Thank you Maria." Ace says, smiling even larger. Within the next few weeks the secret plans are made. They all meet at a courthouse walking into it, Ace with a garment bag in her arms.

"You two wait here,'' Ace says while her and Maria head to the ladies room. Maria helps Ace into her dress.

"You look fantastic."

"Thank you, I have known for years that I wanted to get married, but didn't have luck. Trust issues and all brought by my family and the Doctor. How would I know that I would meet the one I would marry from the Doctor."

"It seems through the Doctor or an extension many have met the person they are dating."

"Or married."

"I don't know if I want to get married yet."

"You still have plenty of time, but I ask you if you feel like you never want to get married, please spare Ryan's heart."

"You are already protective of Ryan."

"I know, I care about him.''

"I will let him know as soon as I do."

"I did the same with Graham, except I just wasn't ready. I knew I wanted to marry someday."

"Now it is someday."

"It is," Ace smiles large while walking out of the bathroom to see Graham standing to the side. His smile grows as he sees her. They approach the other.

"You look amazing."

"Thank you, ready for the rest of our lives?"

"More than you can understand." He takes her hand and they walk into the hall.

"You brought witnesses?"

"We did, me Grandson and his girlfriend."

"You are more prepared than most."

"My future wife and I want things done correctly."

"Ok, you two stand up front, Ms..?

"Jackson."

"Ms. Jackson, stand next to the bride, and Mr. O'Brien."

"It's Sinclair."

"Oh sorry. Mr. Sinclair. You stand next to Mr. O'Brien." Maria and Ryan go and stand in their places. Ace and Graham hold each other's hands as the judge begins talking. "Both Dorothy McShane and Graham O'Brien wanted to have a private ceremony welcoming them in as husband and wife; now I understand they want to break from traditional vows."

"Dorothy, I am glad I stopped being afraid of falling in love after losing Grace. I am also glad it is you. The day we met in that Volcano trying to help our friend was a great day. Every day following that day has been better than the previous as I have gotten to know you. You make me laugh and happy that I get to know you. You are my partner in every sense of the word, or as those closest to us would say companion, you are my life companion. I love you."

"Graham, first I say thank you for loving me for me, the side of Dorothy and the side of Ace. Not many got to see all of me, and most who did, didn't like at least one of them. You have even learned about all of my creations and enjoyed making some of them. The timer has gotten better in the past many months. You and I make a great team, in my opinion the best. Sometimes when I am with you the world seems to melt away, so do some of the things that have troubled me from my past. I love you too, my companion in love and life." They exchange rings and share their first kiss as husband and wife.

"Now can you two join me and welcome these two in cheer." Maria and Ryan cheer as Ace and Graham leave the hall rings shining in the light.
