Trafalgar Law sat in the nearest chair and sighed. Luffy was in a bad condition. First he starved himself, secondly there were some traces of poison in his body, and third, there were some bruises in his body which was caused by Akainu's magma. Meanwhile Ace did not suffer from any grave injuries and the minor injuries he suffered from were patched up. He glanced towards the two brothers sitting impatiently with worried faces, the blonde haired one was in a tensed state while the black haired fire fist was throwing him a death glare almost saying 'If anything happens to my little brother, I'll kill you'.
A few hours later, Law finally stood up and said "Mugiwara-ya is alright for now, he should wake up in a day at most, since he didn't sleep for almost 2-3 days. I'm going outside, call me if anything serious happens", and with that he finally leaves the room.
Ace finally stood up from his seat and went towards Luffy. Upon glancing at Luffy's face, he huffed and gave a smile. 'Why would you do something that reckless for someone like me'. He wanted to ask Sabo so many questions but decided to keep it to himself until Luffy wakes up since he knew Luffy would ask the same questions again.
Two hours later they finally reached Amazon Lily island. They were not allowed inside the town since it was for women only but they generously allowed them to stay at the back of the island. The pirate empress and her sisters brought enough food for them to last for 2 more days.
Jimbei, Koala and Hack arrived at the island (they left Marineford after the war was over) a few hours later and Ace immediately asked what was the situation over there. Jimbei sighed and told everything to the pirates around him. Blackbeard managed to kill white beard but couldn't take his devil fruit powers because of Shanks and his crew. They fled after seeing that they were in a disadvantage. Everyone grieved his death and Shanks promised the remains of the whitebeard pirates that he will give a proper funeral to the legendary pirate. The rest of the whitebeard pirates fled away with the red haired pirates from that scene.
"This was all my fault" sobbed Ace after hearing about his pops's death. Sabo upon hearing this, comforted Ace as best as he could. Ace hugged his dear brother and cried. He wasn't strong enough. His father was dead and his brother got injured because of him. He needed to get more strong to protect his family, his brothers.
They were busy talking until a scream was erupted from the submarine. "ACEEEE" shouted someone who Ace knew was obviously Luffy. Ace, Sabo and Law rushed inside to see Luffy panting severely. Ace quickly hugged his brother and whispered soothing words to his ears saying 'it's okay, I'm here now'. Luffy hugged back Ace and calmed down.
"So Luffy is awake, now tell us how are you alive" said Ace sternly, sitting at the sea shore of Amazon Lily. Sabo glanced at Luffy who was giving him the most kindest smile one can ever give. He really was a sunshine- his and Ace's sunshine. So he started explaining what happened on that day, how Dragon saved him and he lost his memories. He gave brief details of what happened in the revolutionary base with him, how he trained to become more stronger, etc. Ace and Luffy listened quietly and tried to comprehend everything their brother said. Ace felt a bit frustrated on how he never noticed Sabo in the wanted posters but felt glad that his brother was alive. Just as they were about to talk more about their lives, someone (who Luffy definitely recognised as a polar bear from Torao's group) arrived and informed that someone was looking for him.
They headed back towards Law's submarine and saw the man standing there with a smile on his face. "RAYLEIGHHHH" Luffy shouted and jumped towards the man. "It's been a while, Luffy" Rayleigh exclaimed and patted his head. Ace immediately recognised the man and went on a defensive state questioning his motives, asked "What are you doing here, dark king Rayleigh?". Rayleigh smiled and said "I'm just here to talk, nothing else" and a sudden memory of Roger came to his mind. He really looks like them. He then chose to sit on a nearby rock and glanced at Luffy.
"I'm here to speak on an important matter, Luffy" spoke Rayleigh after a long pause. "You saw what happened in Marineford and in Sabadoy while fighting Kuma, both you and your crew are not strong enough to proceed into the new world" explained Rayleigh. Although Luffy wanted to explore the New World as soon as possible, he also knew what Rayleigh said was indeed true. They wouldn't survive in new world with the current state they're in. So he listened to Rayleigh's plan and agreed. This was for the best. Ace and Sabo too listened to their plan and said they'll stay and train alongside Luffy.
So the following week, Ace, Luffy and Rayleigh went back to Marineford and prayed for Whitebeard's death. Luffy too prayed alongside Ace and successfully made his crew get the code. The 3 brothers soon started training at the island and although Sabo had to leave sometimes for small missions but they weren't that long so he'd return within a week or two.
Two years passed since then and Ace decided to join his little brother's crew since Whitebeard pirates were disbanded. He smiled sitting on top of sunny and looking at his new crew mates bickering among themselves and preparing to head for the Fishman Island. Sabo too arrived later with a bottle of sake in his hand and the three of us made a toast again, to remind ourselves whatever situation we'd be in, we're always going to be brothers.
Although Ace was in grief that he had lost his father, but at the same time he was glad that both of his brothers are alive and safe. He was now a member of Luffy's crew and swore to himself that he would never let anyone hurt his little brother.
