Chapter 4-Legacy
Seeing the children really upsets me. It gave me whiplash on my decision. Like Harry, students make me want to keep teaching forever.
I look deeply into the pensive and my life literally flashes before my eyes. What strikes out the most to me are Voldermort's red snakelike eyes, and the ring that is now on my finger.
It is my curse and what can save the day. It is what matters.
For if I am ready or not I must pass down this ring and my knowledge, my legacy to Harry. Maybe then I will not die in vain.
