(Warning: Trauma)
An hour had gone by Eda continued her work, nearly complete as she only needed a few more finishing touches.
"Okay, one drop of sparkpowder." Eda said.
She turned to a bottle with a lightning bolt on it, grabbing it and pulling out the provided water droplet. Contrary to the title, Sparkpowder was a VERY potent source of liquid lightning and very dangerous if not handled properly.
"Always hated Sparkpowder." Eda muttered to herself, despite how destructive she is.
Moving back a bit, Eda reached out to the cauldron and GENTLY squeezed the droplet to produce a single drop of sparkpower. Only one drop or something BAD would occur.
'Okay, hopefully this won't end up like my third year potion class.' Eda thought, sweat going down her forehead.
The drop fell into the cauldron, a small BOOM with a mushroom cloud forming over the it as Eda's hand had a little soot on it.
"Ouch." Eda said through grit teeth. "Well, better than the entire arm."
Putting the droplet back in the bottle and shaking her hand a bit, Eda went back to stirring the cauldron to finish the potion.
"Alright, almost done." She said.
Looking back to Amity, Eda saw her condition haven't meant changed much but it was still good to check.
"Okay, now for the final ingredient. A pinch of troll dander." Eda said, turning back to her cauldron.
Eda used her magic open the cupboard and grabbed a small jar from it, the jar being nearly empty.
"Huh, running low." Eda said, shaking the bottle. "It'll do for now, but I may have to steal some more later."
Opening it and sprinkling a pinch inside, Eda saw the liquid bubble a bit before changing to a light purple color to show it was now complete.
"Perfect." Eda said, putting the small jar aside and grabbing a small bottle, filling it with the light purple liquid. "Okay, Blight, open up."
Walking to the young witch, Eda put the bottle to her lips and made the unconscious witch drink the potion to fix the cut on her head, her broken arm, and any internal damage they couldn't see.
"Now to wait." Eda said before walking back to the cauldron. "And I might as well bottle all of this up too. Either to keep or sell."
With how Luz acted at times, she had a feeling they needed it in the long run.
-Hours of bottling later-
A few hours passed and the two young girls were still asleep, Luz still being on the couch while Amity was still in the same chair.
"A rare moment of peace." Eda said, sitting on the other couch and watching the crystal ball on a low volume.
"I guess so. Seems kind of boring though." King said, eating a snack on the coffee table.
"Boring isn't always bad. It's safe." Eda said before sipping some apple blood.
A few seconds later, Luz suddenly shot up while breathing heavily and sweating profusely. She looked around, like she didn't recognize the place as Eda saw her.
'She's having a panic attack?!' Eda thought as she got up and ran over to Luz to check on her.
But that was a BIG mistake, as Luz, still not fully aware of what's going on, immediately clasped her hands around Eda's neck and began choking her!
"Ugh! Luz!" Eda choked out, grabbing her arms to remove them!
'When did she get so strong!?' Eda thought, finding Luz's grip on her neck like an iron clamp!
King screamed at this before he ran up and grabbed onto Eda's legs.
"Luz, stop!" King said, trying to pull Eda away.
Even Hooty came to help as he stretched over and grabbed Luz by the back of her shirt and tried to pull her away.
"Stop! Snap out of it!" Hooty said, his mouth full as he pulled!
Luz couldn't hear any of them as she was still in not just a panic but nightmare fueled hallucination! The one she was seeing wasn't Eda in her iron grip but a person she killed in the past, returning from the dead to trying and kill her! Like a zombie returning from the grave!
"You killed me! You killed me! I will have my revenge!" The zombie shouted, not effected by Luz's choking. "Monster! Monster!"
Still in her panic, Luz increased her grip to try and ripped through the zombie's throat but it was just too tough!
'Die! Why won't you die again?!' Luz thought, seeing the zombie slowly reaching a hand out to her! 'Stay back! Stay back!'
Eventually, Eda did something she really didn't want to do as she balled up her fist and punched Luz right in the nose!
"AAAH!" Luz screamed, releasing Eda and falling to the floor.
The feeling of her nose bleeding and iron scent somehow shocked her out of her panic, fully awake as she looked around.
"W-w-wha... where am I?" Luz asked.
"You're home! You're safe, kid! No need to get all killy!" Eda said, holding her sore neck as King and Hooty gazed at Luz..
"Eda? What happen- Wait." Luz said as she remembers what she did, instantly feeling guilty as she held her head. "Oh fuck, it happened again."
Her hallucinations came back and it nearly caused her to kill her new friend! King and Hooty didn't look so bad but they must've tried to stop her in some way but it was more than enough to cause her to got into another panic attack!
"Kid-" Eda said, reaching out to her but Luz slapped her hand away!
"G-g-get away from me!" Luz said, panicking as she scooted back. "I don't want hurt to you again!"
Suddenly, Luz took off running up the stairs as the trio called out to her!
"Luz!" Hooty and King shouted.
"Luz, wait!" Eda shouted but she was gone.
The human had ran to her room and locked herself inside, sliding to the floor against the door as she clenched her hair again.
'Why? Why is it happening again?!' Luz thought, grabbing her hair tightly.
She was trying her best but no matter what she did, Luz couldn't stop her killer nature from resurfacing! Either on purpose or in accident, and it caused her to hurt someone that genuinely cared about her. It was like she tried to kill her mother, bringing on a whole new string of fears began!
'Oh god, what if this happens when mom is around?! Would it kill her?!' Luz thought as she began crying!
"Why can't I stop being a monster?!" Luz shouted to herself.
Luz pulled her hands away and looked at them, flashing to see even more blood on them than before! These dreams, these actions, everything she's done has come back to haunt her 10 fold! It was too much, she couldn't handle it anymore!
"I... I can't take this. I can't keep having these hallucinations and hurting the people I are about." Luz said, looking to her trunk.
She crawled towards it and opened it, seeing the new double barrel gun she acquired.
"I need this to end." She said, slowly grabbing the gun and checking the rotary for bullets.
'One bullet, perfect.' Luz thought, clocking the rotary and moving the gun barrel to her head. 'No more monster, no more losing control, no more nightmares.'
Luz slowly closing her eyes, squeezing the trigger.
'Finally……peace.' She thought.
