Employee of the Month: A parody of Employee of the Month from SpongeBob SquarePants with Total Drama characters.

Ella was whistling while working. Like any other day, all the dishes had been cleaned already, but she wanted to be extra sure they were pearly white.
"All this hard work was fun, but I am thirsty." She said to nobody in particular. "Perhaps I can ask Christopher if I can have a drink."
As she exited the kitchen, she saw Chris standing in front of Noah.
"Tsk, tsk, negligent Noah. Always lazing about."
"It's not like I have much to do here. There's nobody coming in."
Chris smirked as he saw Ella walk out of the kitchen. "Why can't you be more like Ella? The way she works deserves an award of some kind!"
"You mean the award that's just a bunch of-" The door slammed, interrupting Noah. "-garbage?"
Ella had a curious look on her face, so the bookworm stepped in before she could ask. "He gives you that award so you'll work harder for no extra money."
Under his breath, he added "like you could work any harder anyways."
"Christopher doesn't give it to me so I work harder." Ella politely countered, not hearing the last part. "He gives it to me because I work harder! Perhaps you could get on there too if you tried a tad harder!"
"Yeah, and get my face on the wall of shame? Whoopee."
The camera panned over to the wall of Employee of the Month awards, which had six pictures of Ella's face in a row.
"I think it's to set a standard for what we can achieve. There's nothing wrong with being proud of your hard work, after all!" The princess encouraged.
"That's right, Ella! But I dunno! Looks like it might be anyone's game this year." Chris smirked, going over to Ella and whispering in her ear. "Hey, Noah might be close to a breakthrough. There might be a new face on the wall this month!"
Back on the wall, the spot for the month of September was empty. The singer, however, actually clapped at this. "Oh, hooray! May the best ma-" She looked down at herself. "Ah, employee, win!"
"Sure, Ella." Noah deadpanned. "I might sneak up on you."
Back in the kitchen, the songbird looked happy as she worked. "If Noah would like to put in the effort to become the employee of the month, then I shall not complain! Even if he thinks it's only-" She placed an orange into a blender, unnecessarily censoring her when she turned it on. "Bologna, perhaps he'll change his mind!"
Ella then timed herself on the next order to see how fast she could do it, but she wanted to remain her neat and tidy self. Her thought process was that maybe, if she went above and beyond… or, well, more than usual, then she might be able to inspire Noah to try for the award! She looked over to the empty September plaque again through the order window and imagined the bookworm's stoic, frowning face in its place.
As she imagined this, she had half a grapefruit in her hand, but when she put it in the machine, it flung up to the ceiling and stuck there. "Oh, dear!" The singer jumped back when she saw this, and when she looked down, she saw that she was using the blender, not the juicer like she thought she was.
Noah walked in through the door. "What is going on in here?"
"Um, I was… getting a grapefruit off the ceiling?" Ella explained, doing just that with a mop she had grabbed.
The bookworm sighed. "Is this still about the award?" When the singer nodded, he continued. "I keep telling you, that award's a bunch of-" The grapefruit fell on his face. "-junk!"
"Well, I believe it's a symbol of joy, just like this wonderful pin!" She took the pin off of the drawn smoothie cup on the lime green shirt, which was right on her chest, next to her name tag. As she got closer to her co-worker, the grapefruit from before fell off his face, causing the songbird to slip. The pin went flying in front of Noah, who only shook his head at Ella's clumsiness.
"I told you, Ella. That award's nothing but-" The egghead stepped on the pin, causing him to clench his teeth and grunt in pain. "Ow! A joke!" He stomped out of the room.
"Goodness, what if Noah is right?" Ella questioned, facing another wall of awards. "Perhaps the award is… only a phony? Have I truly been wasting my time here?"
Looking up at the wall, all of the images of the songbird now donned a fairy godmother costume.
"Oh, don't talk to yourself like that!" One of the photos encouraged. "All he needs is just a little encouragement! Perhaps if you try to challenge yourself, then he'll be just as driven for the award as you are!"
The singer looked up at her and nodded, clasping her right hand. "Yes, you're right, um… me! I shall try it then!"
So the next day, Ella had brought items from home. She had a timer that went up to 3 minutes, a blindfold, a rubber band, and a whistle, all for separate ideas.
The camera panned over to Noah, while there was what could only be described as pure chaos going on behind him in the kitchen. He turned his attention to the inside, only to see Ella using the timer and racing around the kitchen at a rapid pace.
The singer accidentally knocked over a cup of fruit juice, but she caught it before it fell as it did a funny-looking spin. Despite this, after a short giggle, she continued her speedy preparation. As she delivered it to the window, she looked at the clock, which claimed that she had done it in a minute and 38 seconds. "Oh, hooray! That's five seconds faster than last time!" She celebrated, clapping close to her chest.
"Why are you timing yourself?" Noah questioned in his permanently monotone fashion.
"Hmm? Oh! Well, I wanted to try to stand out for the award, and perhaps inspire my fellow employees to do the same!"
The know-it-all just blinked at her. "Whatever. Knock yourself out."
There was a brief stint of silence before Ella started to dance around the kitchen more and more, making a bit of a mess in her path. She tried to pick up after herself while still maintaining her fast speed, but she wasn't able to completely stay tidy.
After a few minutes of this, the princess decided to use the rubber band to tie her hands behind her back and attempt to make orders that way. "Oh, goodness, this is quite difficult! But it's just like a song I once heard!"
"Doing harder chores gives greater rewards!" She sang, continuing to knock things over and having even more trouble cleaning.
"And greater messes too." Noah commented, before going back to his book.
The singer then tried to remove her hands from the rubber band, but she was getting a bit stuck. "I, ah, suppose I got a bit too caught up in my work!"
She struggled some more until it eventually snapped, freeing her once more. "Phew!" Despite her initial relief, the rubber band then flew into her left and stung her. "Ow!"
"Well, I suppose I have just the thing for eye protection, so no worries!" She put the blindfold on. "Except… how will I make orders if I can't see anything? It'll be alright! I just need to take inspiration from animals! Like, ah, bats! They use echolocation for everything! Besides, with one sense blocked, the others get heightened!"
The camera panned over to Noah, who sunk himself lower to avoid hearing the chaos in the kitchen. It then went back to Ella, who was feeling things to find what she was looking for and communicating through whistles to figure out where she was and, by some miracle, manage to complete a correct, albeit messy, order.
This went on for a while, with the occasional silly comment or song from Ella, until the end of the day.
"Well, Noah, I think it's time to clean up for the day now!" Ella declared, standing proudly.
"You're facing the storage room."
The princess bashfully giggled, took the blindfold off, and looked to her co-worker. "My bad! Oh, dear, it's quite filthy in here now!"
"Yeah, employee of the month, huh?" Noah snarked, which Ella didn't seem bothered by. She simply started cleaning up the kitchen.
"And once again Noah does nothing, and where's Ella?"
"Trying real hard for that employee of the month award." He then pointed Chris to the kitchen, which had been turned into a fruity mess that the singer was daintily trying to clean up. She looked far more tired than usual from her antics, but still wanted to get her job done.
Her boss entered the room and seemed quite irritated with the princess. "What happened in here? I thought you were really clean!"
"Well, I wanted to inspire Noah to become a good employee like me, so I attempted to challenge myself with some items from home! I, ah, didn't quite think about how filthy it would make me…"
"Yeah, well, I need workers that can handle the load. Why don't you take an unpaid day off after you get all this stuff cleaned up?"
Not one to argue with authority, Ella simply nodded and continued to fix her mistake.
A/N: This was another hard episode to plan out since Ella is not gonna antagonize Noah for any reason, and he doesn't care enough about his job to do what SpongeBob and Squidward did in canon, so we had to go this route.
