Out of all the battle-related gimmicks, Dynamax is by far my least favorite one.
It's not fun to write in the slightest.
With that out of the way, here's the rest of the battle.
Enjoy.
Charizard reared back and shot a torrent of blue dragonfire towards Dragonite, who was caught off guard by the sudden power boost Flamethrower had received from Charizard Mega Evolving. Swooping down, Charizard approached the stunned Dragonite and swung an Iron Tail into the opposing Dragon-type's gut before clawing at his face with Dragon Claw.
Dragonite, upon stopping his momentum from the hits, used Roost once again before taking to the skies and firing an Ice Beam towards Charizard, who winced as his left wing was hit with the attack and became coated in a thin layer of ice. Looking towards his opponent, Dragonite asked, "Mega Evolution, huh?"
"That's right!" Charizard replied. "You've clearly gotten better since the last time we battled three years ago... but so have we!" he finished as he shot a small Flamethrower at his left wing to thaw it out. Charizard's wings began to glow again as he launched another salvo of Air Slash, the buzzsaws of air being destroyed by a Thunder Punch flurry from Dragonite, who proceeded to tackle Charizard to the ground with Extreme Speed.
Righting himself, Charizard snorted and spat out a small puff of flame before using Iron Tail, causing his entire tail save for the flame to glow with a metallic sheen. As Dragonite watched, Charizard also began to charge a Focus Blast in his hands, the swirling ball of blue-and-yellow energy slowly beginning to grow in size as he concentrated.
Dragonite proceeded to fire another Ice Beam towards Charizard, but the Fire/Dragon-type swung his tail outward, sending the Ice Beam towards an arena wall while still maintaining his Focus Blast charge. When Dragonite came in for another attack run with Aqua Jet, Charizard deactivated Iron Tail and sidestepped before slamming the Focus Blast down onto the small of Dragonite's back, creating a small explosion.
When the smoke cleared, Dragonite used Roost yet again, watching as Charizard took to the skies before plummeting down to the ground, punching it and using Earthquake. As Dragonite struggled to stay balanced on the shaking ground, Charizard flew in and attempted to use Dragon Claw again. However, Dragonite jumped into the air, making sure to grab onto Charizard's wrists.
As Charizard squirmed in Dragonite's grasp, the Dragon Pokémon smirked before using Dragon Rush, cloaking himself and Charizard in a blue aura of Dragon-type energy. Dragonite proceeded to fly high above Wyndon Stadium before beginning to descend, the aura around the two of them forming into the shape of a dragon as they smashed straight into the arena floor.
"Whoa!" Angie said, watching as bits of the arena were thrown into the air from the impact. Taking a sip of her drink, she turned to Jessie, James, and Meowth, none of whom had said a word the entire match, which she thought was just a tad bit alarming. "What's with the silence? I seem to remember that you guys almost never stopped talking," Angie asked as she turned her attention back to the arena, waiting for the dust cloud to clear.
"Well, here's da sitch, twoipette..."
Jessie continued, "We may be rooting for the twerp first and foremost..."
"But we also can't help but cheer for his friends too," James finished. Pointing a finger at Iris as he bit into a rice ball, James asked, "See the Unova Champion down there?" Angie nodded, and James continued, "She traveled with the twerp when he first went to Unova."
Angie snickered, "Ash really does have a knack for meeting famous people... Cynthia basically gave him her approval at the end of the Lily of the Valley Conference four years ago as well."
"Besides da Unova twerpette and Cynthia like ya said, he's..." Meowth began counting his fingers as he listed, "met da Grand Champion of the Indigo Plateau several times, both Champions of Hoenn, Unova's former Champion, dat Leon guy, and da twerp's da first Champion of Alola." Meowth stopped for a moment before muttering, "I really miss dat place..."
"When you put it like that, it's no wonder you guys always lost to him," Angie remarked.
"Woooobbuffet!" Jessie's Pokémon hopped out of his Poké Ball and saluted.
A sudden roar from the arena made the five of them turn their attention back to the match.
Charizard staggered back to his feet, his shoulders heaving as he took in several deep breaths. On Iris' side of the stadium, Dragonite had fixed a wary stare upon him, waiting for him to do something. Behind Charizard, Ash called out, "Charizard, are you sure you want to continue?" Saying nothing, the Flame Pokémon simply raised his tail towards Ash, the flame at the end burning an intensely bright blue.
"Alright Charizard, you're the boss," Ash said. "Ready to use that special trick of yours?" Charizard growled something as he nodded, and Ash smirked, saying, "Great, use Draco Meteor!"
An audible gasp echoed around the stadium as Iris' jaw dropped. "Did he just say Draco Meteor?!" Dragonite was similarly shocked.
Charizard's mouth filled with white-hot flame as he inhaled, much like how he would've prepared an Overheat when not in his Mega form. However, instead of releasing a maelstrom of flame, the fire in his mouth let out a blinding flash as it changed to Dragon-type energy, and Charizard began charging it, a bright blue orb forming in his mouth. Once the orb reached a large enough size, Charizard released his Draco Meteor into the sky.
The two Dragon-types watched as the orb exploded into many azure meteorites which began to rain down onto the arena in streaming trails of blue dragonfire. Dragonite stayed close to the ground as he began dodging meteors, and Charizard looked back to Ash, who nodded and said, "Blast Burn."
Shrouding himself in dragonfire, Charizard's fists began to glow a bright blue, and he punched them straight into the earth. From the spot Charizard had struck, fissures bursting with blue energy raced along the ground and towards Dragonite, who balked and took to the sky just as they coalesced underneath him and exploded in a massive blue starburst.
Charizard looked up to where Dragonite was and thumped his tail on the ground in a set pattern, his body glowing with a red aura as he used Dragon Dance again. With Dragon Dance offsetting some of Blast Burn's energy depletion, Charizard took off after Dragonite, who was having a much harder time dodging the meteorites while airborne. Flapping his wings again, Charizard used Air Slash and Flamethrower as he gave chase, which forced Dragonite to have to deal with even more projectiles on top of the meteorites raining from above.
Dragonite attempted to lead Charizard into a cluster of meteors to shake him off, but the Fire/Dragon-type simply banked right and away from the meteors before resuming his pursuit, nailing Dragonite in the small of his back with a Flamethrower. As Dragonite unsteadily came to a stop, Charizard latched onto his shoulders with Dragon Claw and began to fly up and towards the meteors, some of them hitting Dragonite as the two ascended.
Down on the ground, Ash cupped his hands to his mouth and yelled, "Charizard, you know what to finish this with! SEISMIC TOSS!"
Upon reaching the point where Draco Meteor had initially exploded, Charizard tightened his grip as he reversed directions and used Iron Tail to increase his weight, causing them to plummet towards the stadium alongside the meteors. Grimly clinging on, Charizard didn't even flinch as he and Dragonite crashed onto the ground, throwing up an even bigger plume of dust than Dragonite's Dragon Rush.
Ash and Iris both shielded themselves from the energy released from the impact, Pikachu having planted an Iron Tail into the ground to prevent himself from flying away. Both Trainers waited for the smoke to part with bated breath once they were able to stand without effort.
Charizard was revealed to be still up and in his Mega form, though not without buckling to one knee. Dragonite, on the other hand, was completely exhausted, lying facedown on the ground in a heap.
"Dragonite is unable to battle! Charizard wins!"
Ash recalled Charizard as Iris recalled her Dragonite, and she said to him, "You need to tell me how your Charizard can use Draco Meteor, I've always wanted to raise a Charizard ever since it was discovered that they have a Dragon-type Mega Evolution!"
"I'll tell you after this match is over," Ash grinned.
Iris flashed a fanged smile towards Ash as she said, "Don't think that you can rest easy now! Excadrill, let's go!"
Ash watched as the Subterrene Pokémon materialized and said, "Garchomp, I choose you!" throwing his Poké Ball onto the field.
From Wyndon Stadium's skybox, Diantha playfully nudged Cynthia's shoulder and smiled. "I can see why you hold Ash in such high esteem, dear," she said, watching as his Garchomp roared before using Fire Blast, spitting a star-shaped burst of flames towards Excadrill. "I wonder if any of his Kalos Pokémon are part of his six for this match."
Cynthia replied, "Him and Paul were both Trainers I saw something special in four years ago, and both of them are more than living up to that potential now, even if they're taking different paths." Chuckling, she continued, "Of course, the fact that both of them have a Garchomp is a plus in my book."
Taking a sip of her drink, Diantha watched as Garchomp's Brick Break clashed against Excadrill's Drill Run, neither attack being able to overpower the other. "I watched the footage from his semifinal match from the Lily of the Valley Conference per your recommendation when he first came to Kalos. Being the runner-up in the most recent Vertress Conference at that point was already impressive, but my goodness, that battle from the Sinnoh League was beyond incredible."
"It may be the most popular match from that conference, but believe me, that's not what our League officials and I considered the best one, Diantha," Cynthia said. "It was Ash's quarterfinal match that nearly all of us agreed was the best... I think only Aaron, Maylene, and Wake said that they preferred the semifinal match."
"You'll have to catch me up on that someday, Cynthia," Diantha smiled. A loud BANG made the two look towards the stadium, where they saw Excadrill's Iron Head ram right into Garchomp, but the Dragon-type weathered the hit relatively well before shooting a point-blank Fire Blast onto Excadrill.
Watching as her Excadrill slid across the field, Iris prepared to have her Ground/Steel-type use Horn Drill, only for the command to die in her throat as Ash recalled Garchomp before sending out Torterra.
Torterra materialized onto the field and prepared an Energy Ball.
"He knows Horn Drill, Torterra! Be careful!" Nodding, Torterra chomped down on the Energy Ball, his body glowing a brilliant green as the Grass-type energy spread throughout his body.
Rearing up, Torterra slammed his front legs onto the ground and used Earthquake, the stadium beginning to shake.
With a flourish, Iris said, "Excadrill, use Magnet Rise!"
Excadrill's body began to glow yellow as he slowly rose off the ground. Using Brick Break to strike the earth, a piece of the floor broke off and began to glow yellow as Excadrill landed on it, waiting out the now-harmless Earthquake.
Thoroughly bewildered, Ash asked, "How does that even work?!"
Iris shrugged. "Maybe it's something to do with Excadrill's Steel-type? I don't fully understand it either," before saying, "Excadrill, use Iron Head!"
Excadrill's platform floated over to where Torterra stood, and he jumped off, headbutting Torterra with the drill bit on his head, pushing the Continent Pokémon backwards. Excadrill glowed white for a moment as he used Stone Edge, firing a volley of pointed stones towards Torterra, who was forced to take the attack.
Gritting his teeth in frustration for a moment, Ash called out, "Alright Torterra, new plan! Use Rock Climb, but don't actually climb the rocks!"
Nodding, Torterra reared up and slammed his legs into the ground once again, causing a mountain to erupt from the earth. Torterra watched as Excadrill's platform was smashed by the mountain, though the Subterrene Pokémon latched onto the side of the rock face with his claws. Torterra did not give Excadrill a moment to relax, however, as he fired a couple of Energy Balls towards the Ground/Steel-type before hunkering down and using Stone Edge, causing spiky stones to erupt along the mountain in a spiral fashion.
As Excadrill jumped onto one of the pointed stones, Torterra's body began to glow green as he charged towards his mountain, body slamming it with Wood Hammer. Wincing as his body crackled with green lightning, Torterra watched as Excadrill fell off the mountain and down towards him, creating a small indent where he landed. Glowing red, Torterra bellowed, "TERRRRAAAAAA!" as he stomped on Excadrill with Superpower, driving the Subterrene Pokémon deeper into the floor.
"Finish this with Heavy Slam!"
Torterra began to climb up his makeshift mountain with Rock Climb. Once he reached the top, he jumped off, his underbelly glowing with a metallic sheen as he landed right on top of Excadrill, his legs also making a slight indent into the floor.
"Excadrill is unable to battle, Torterra wins!"
"Wow," Dawn said. "That Rock Climb bit with Stone Edge looked really cool, maybe I could have Mamoswine do something like that as part of a routine?"
Nodding, Serena mused, "It'd be a neat thing to try out in a Showcase, it looks like something out of a movie."
Max watched as Iris sent out her Haxorus, noting, "She's already down to only two Pokémon while Ash still has four, it's not a bad idea for her to send out her strongest Pokémon at this point to stop the bleeding instead of saving it for the end."
Looking towards May, Chloe mused, "Your brother's pretty knowledgeable for a beginner Trainer."
May chuckled, "Well, our father is a Gym Leader... combine that with whatever crazy things he learned from watching Ash battle all these years, and I'm not really surprised that he has a good mind for battling," turning back to the match just in time to see Haxorus body check Torterra with First Impression, the super effective hit sending the Continent Pokémon sprawling across the floor.
Torterra struggled back up to his feet, glowing a bright white as he used Synthesis to restore some of his health, though that left him wide open for a rapid Poison Jab flurry from the Dragon-type. Once Haxorus was done attacking, Torterra's legs buckled as purple lightning crackled along his body, indicating that he had been poisoned.
With a final snarl, Haxorus used Breaking Swipe, smashing his glowing tail into Torterra's carapace and driving him into the ground, knocking him out.
"Torterra is unable to battle, Haxorus is the winner!"
Up above, Torterra's icon was grayed out, bringing Ash down to a battered Charizard, a relatively fresh Garchomp, and his unrevealed sixth Pokémon. Choosing to keep the element of surprise, Ash clicked Garchomp's Poké Ball and sent him out, saying, "It's your turn again, Garchomp!"
Garchomp slowly glided down to the ground before turning towards Haxorus and brandished his fins in challenge.
However, Iris activated her Dynamax Band, saying, "Alright Haxorus, it's time! DYNAMAX!" as she threw the large Poké Ball in her hand towards her Dragon-type, causing him to drastically increase in size. Leering down at Garchomp, Haxorus roared, pushing the opposing Dragon-type back a decent amount. "You've only got three Max Moves, so make them count!"
Haxorus nodded as he used Max Ooze first, his fists glowing purple as he punched the ground. From where Haxorus struck, several geysers of purple sludge erupted all around the field.
"Garchomp, don't even bother trying to hit Haxorus, just keep dodging and set up Spikes!"
Looking back at Ash, Garchomp nodded and struck the ground, causing a layer of caltrops to emerge on Iris' side of the field before retracting into the ground. Once that was done, he jumped up and took flight, gliding his way through the sludge that was gradually beginning to pool on the ground.
Haxorus proceeded to use Max Geyser, his tail surrounding itself with a swirling current of water as he attempted to slam it into Garchomp, who flew over it. As Haxorus' tail smashed into the arena floor, storm clouds formed over Wyndon Stadium, once again causing rain. Haxorus watched as Garchomp landed on the ground, the rain having flushed out the poisonous sludge from the arena floor. Garchomp proceeded to strike the ground again, causing even more caltrops to emerge around Haxorus before retracting into the earth once more.
His tail flashing with a metallic sheen, Haxorus slammed it into the ground and used Max Steelspike, causing silvery spikes to erupt from the floor all around Garchomp, who was then struck by a single massive spike emerging from underneath his feet, catapulting him into the air and causing him to land hard on the ground.
As Garchomp dug his claws into the wet earth while forcing himself to stand up, through the rain, he saw that Haxorus had shrunken down to regular size, his body momentarily flashing silver thanks to the effects of Max Steelspike. Going on the offensive, he attempted to strike Haxorus' face with Dragon Claw, though the Axe Jaw Pokémon blocked the hits with his scythes before striking Garchomp with Dragon Tail, which caused Garchomp to be recalled back into his Poké Ball and forcibly sent out Ash's sixth Pokémon.
Diantha's expression changed to one of delight as she said, "Ah, so he is using Goodra!" watching as Ash's Kalosian pseudo-legendary emerged from his Poké Ball and took in the rain.
Amused, Cynthia turned towards her friend and asked, "You have a Goodra too?" Diantha nodded, and Cynthia remarked, "Kid's got a good eye for Pokémon."
The two Champions turned back to the match, watching as Goodra fired an Ice Beam towards Haxorus.
Haxorus winced as the freezing beam struck his shoulder, though he simply hacked at the ice that had formed on his shoulder with his tusks to get rid of it. Charging towards Goodra, he smacked the other Dragon-type with Iron Tail, though Goodra weathered the hit with relative ease before striking back with Poison Tail, which Haxorus blocked by raising his Iron Tail again.
Readying a Poison Jab, Haxorus prepared to slug Goodra across the face, but Goodra threatening a point-blank Dragon Pulse made him disengage, retreating back as Goodra fired the dragon-shaped pulse of purple energy. Said Dragon Pulse struck him in the chest, and Haxorus fell to one knee. Watching as Goodra began to charge a Hydro Pump, Haxorus used Guillotine, his scythes growing in length and glowing white as he charged towards Goodra.
"Ice Beam!"
Goodra switched from charging Hydro Pump to Ice Beam, which he then fired at Haxorus, who pushed his way through the cold, unerringly focused on landing his attack.
"Uh-oh, back up, Goodra!"
Doing as his Trainer asked, Goodra stepped backwards, watching as Haxorus slammed his tusks into the spot where he had been standing just moments before. That was close, he thought to himself before firing the Hydro Pump he had charged up earlier towards Haxorus.
Haxorus threw up his arms to shield himself from the water, which blasted him across the arena. Pulling himself back to his feet, he groaned, "I was expecting Ash to use Hydreigon, if I'm being honest..."
Goodra shrugged before using Sludge Bomb, the blobs of toxic sludge making their way towards Haxorus. However, Haxorus used Iron Tail again, deflecting the Poison-type barrage with little trouble.
"Outrage, Haxorus!"
Goodra cautiously watched as Haxorus' eyes began to glow red. As Haxorus ran towards him in a headlong sprint, Goodra hunkered down and planted his tail on the ground, bracing himself as Haxorus slammed into him with the force of a freight train. From there, Haxorus began laying a ferocious beatdown on Goodra with a flurry of punches, kicks, slashes, and tail slams.
Kicking Goodra in the gut, Haxorus then proceeded to chop the opposing Dragon-type on the back of his neck, forcing him down to the ground. Before he could follow up with a stomp, however, his eyes stopped glowing and he began to stumble around, the fatigue from Outrage taking effect.
Panting as he rose to his feet, Goodra first used Ice Beam to freeze Haxorus' legs to the ground and lock him in place, which snapped the Axe Jaw Pokémon to his senses. As he attempted to break free, Goodra, from a fair distance away, began to charge up a Dragon Pulse. Just as Haxorus managed to free one of his legs from the ice, Goodra fired, the Dragon-type attack nailing Haxorus right in the face and sending him flying.
Haxorus landed on the ground with a resounding thud, groaning as he tried to stand up to no avail. As he fainted, the rain faded away.
"Haxorus is unable to continue, Goodra wins!"
Ash resisted the urge to run onto the field and hug his Dragon-type, instead saying, "Way to go, Goodra!" while next to him, Pikachu was excitedly jumping up and down.
Iris recalled Haxorus, whispering, "Good work out there, Haxorus, get some rest," before unclipping her sixth and final Poké Ball, a Net Ball. "Go, Dragalge!" The Mock Kelp Pokémon materialized onto the field and was promptly stabbed at by the caltrops Garchomp had set up before.
The referee waved both flags down, saying "Battle begin!"
"Ice Beam!"
"Toxic!"
Goodra fired an Ice Beam which Dragalge gently drifted away from, and she retaliated with Toxic, firing three globs of deep purple poison from her snout. All three blobs hit their mark, badly poisoning Goodra.
As Goodra winced, Iris pointed. "Venoshock!"
Rearing back, Dragalge fired a thin stream of neon green poison towards Goodra, who was too exhausted to dodge. Venoshock hit its mark, causing Goodra to double over in agony before collapsing to the floor, unable to continue.
"Goodra is unable to battle, the winner of this bout is Draglage!"
Recalling Goodra, Ash whispered, "That was awesome, Goodra, get yourself a nice long rest," as he clipped the Dragon-type's Poké Ball back onto his belt. After pondering over who to send in next, he made his decision and said, "Charizard, let's finish this!"
Charizard, still in his Mega form, emerged from his Poké Ball and snorted a stream of dragonfire, still clearly sporting damage from his battle with Dragonite.
"Dragalge, use Dragon Pulse!"
Dragalge fired a Dragon Pulse from her snout, which Charizard batted away with Iron Tail before striking the ground to use Earthquake. As Dragalge staggered from the super effective hit, Charizard shot a Flamethrower her way, beating his wings to use Air Slash at the same time. Draglage was peppered by the buzzsaws of compressed air as Flamethrower washed over her, stunning her for an even longer amount of time.
"Wrap this up with Dragon Claw!"
Flapping his wings, Charizard flew towards Dragalge, his hands being covered with large claws made out of Dragon-type energy. As Dragalge stood there, still reeling from the combination of Flamethrower and Air Slash, Charizard slashed in Dragalge's direction, sending her careening into the arena's wall. Charizard watched as Draglage limply fell from her indent, completely spent.
"Dragalge is unable to battle, Charizard wins! Which means the victor of this match is Ash Ketchum!"
Breathing a sigh of relief, Charizard transitioned down from his Mega state back to his regular form, and Ash ran onto the field, giving his burly Fire-type a hug as the crowd went wild.
Iris sighed, recalling her defeated Dragon-type and walking up to meet Ash in the middle of the field. Charizard nudged Ash towards Iris, he extended his hand, saying, "Good match, Iris."
Iris accepted the handshake for a moment before leaping up and giving Ash a hug, which, after a moment of shock, he reciprocated, causing the crowd to cheer even harder.
Once they broke apart, Iris looked towards Ash and asked, "Now, how did you teach your Charizard Draco Meteor?"
"Well, you see..."
"Well Steffen, time to pay up," Georgia said, the Dragon Buster flashing her friend a smug grin.
"You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Stephan grumbled as he fished for his wallet and paid Georgia the 1,000 PokéDollars. Pulling up the Masters Eight schedule, the former Vertress Conference winner said, "Says here that Ash and Iris' next matches on the schedule are versus Diantha and Alain tomorrow, you down to watch them?"
Georgia nodded before yawning. "Wanna get some breakfast?"
"Sure!"
"Alright, way to go Ash!" Angie cheered.
The Rockets, having sat on their hands for the entire match, let out a collective sigh, James muttering, "Thank Arceus it's over... we can throw all our support towards the twerp now."
"You know, you guys aren't all that bad," Angie said as she munched on a Bearticone. "Sure, the whole 'being part of Team Rocket' bit isn't great, but you're not bad people. Are you guys going to be here for Ash's match versus Diantha tomorrow?" As the Rockets nodded, Angie cheerfully continued, "Great, see you tomorrow then!" as she walked towards the stadium lobby.
"Your Pokémon should be all recovered now, Mr. Ketchum, have a nice day!" Nurse Joy said as she passed him the six Poké Balls he had given her a moment ago.
Waving towards Nurse Joy, Ash sped off towards his hotel room, already thinking about the next battle. Once he made it there, he placed his six Poké Balls onto a shelf as he muttered to himself, "Diantha..." Looking towards Pikachu, Ash asked, "You wanna give this one a go, buddy?"
"Pika pika!" Pikachu cheered as he pumped a fist outward.
Grinning, Ash wrote down Pikachu's name on a sheet of paper. "Now, who else should I pick...?"
The next day, Leon and Steven sat together in the skybox, the two of them waiting for Ash and Diantha's match, the third match of the day, to begin. Turning towards Leon, Steven asked, "So Leon, I never asked: how was Ash's climb up the ranks of the WCS? I haven't gotten an opportunity to speak to him since Kalos, which was when... y'know."
Leon nodded, remembering the shock he had felt seeing the broadcast that had covered the Kalos Crisis. "I can imagine," he said quietly. Looking towards Steven, he continued, "Ash told me that he wished there were more Full Battles for Ultra Class participants."
Steven said, "I can see why, if his battles against Drasna and Raihan were any indication." Placing his hands behind his head, he continued, "I'm in the same boat myself, I'd really like to be able to go all out during the season and not just at the end."
Any attempts from Leon to continue the conversation were interrupted as Ash and Diantha strode onto the battlefield.
Down in the arena, the referee said, "The round robin match between Diantha Carnette and Ash Ketchum will begin shortly! As with all other round robin matches, this will be a Full Battle, both challengers being able to make substitutions as they wish. This battle will conclude when one of the participants in this match no longer have any Pokémon left to fight with." Looking towards Diantha, the referee asked, "Miss Carnette, which of Mega Evolution, Dynamax, or Z-Moves will you use?"
Diantha flashed the pendant that housed her Key Stone towards the referee, saying, "Mega Evolution."
"Very well. And you, Mr. Ketchum?"
Holding up the arm which had his Z-Ring wrapped around it, Ash coolly smiled Diantha's way as he replied, "I'll go with a Z-Move this match!"
The referee nodded as he said, "Challengers, send out your first Pokémon!"
Cynthia and Diantha being besties is a dynamic I'm all in support of.
Originally, Ash was supposed to win 6-3, but I think that probably would've made Iris look too weak. Iris was also originally going to use her Garchomp (evolved from that Gible she caught in the side episodes), but I switched it for Dragalge to not have too much of her canon team here because I'm definitely not using Emolga.
Hopefully you're ready for Ash versus Diantha for the next few chapters!
Reviews are always appreciated, thank you.
