Chapter 6

Note: So this chapter will be what happens as the final battle rages on in Mariner Bay!

Bill Mitchell stood outside his daughter's room with a look of concern on his face. The night before they had recieved a transmission from Ryan that ended abruptly. But the truth was that Bansheera had taken him. When he broke the news to his baby girl she cried herself to sleep.

"Daddy?" He broke out of his thoughts at the sound of her voice. Bill walked in and sat on her bed. "Do i have to go to school?".

Bill hugged his daughter. "Yes i need you to be safe. Finn please listen. We don't know what's going to happen today."

"Dad promise me you will bring him home". Finn begged her Dad.

"Sir". They turned to Carter at the door. He was morphed but his helmet was off.

Finn ran to Carter. "Please bring my brother back". Carter hugged the young girl in his arms. "Both of you come back". Carter pulled away.

"I promise i'll bring him back to you and Dana". Carter assured her. They watched as Carter left the base.

One Hour Later...

Mariner Bay was in chaos. The school was put in lockdown as all the students were in the gym huddled together. Finn watched out a window as the omega megazord was being controlled by Jinxer and battlings. She watched as stones were layed in the street.

"I can't stay here! i have to do something". Finn grumbled. Finn higged Riley as the building shook.

"Guys look!". Finn looked out the window as her friend Julie screamed. "its the red ranger".

"Thank God!". She smiled wider as she noticed Ryan was with him. "Thank you Carter".

Finn silently walked towards the door. "Finn stop!". Riley pleaded.

"Riley i have to go, i have to make sure my family is alright, i promise i will be back". Finn assured her best friend as she hugged her. Riley watched her best friend leave.

Bill Mitchell stood outside the building where the stones were being placed.

"Dad!". He turned to see Finn running towards him.

"Finn what are you doing here i told you to stay at school". Bill scolded her.

"Dad please we started this as a family, this needs to end as a family, please let me go help". She begged her Father. Bill looked down and smiled proudly at his youngest.

"Go!" He ordered her. His heart pounding as she ran out of sight.

Inside the rangers were locked in battle against dozens of battlings and Bansheera.

"Guys there's too many of them" Joel yelled getting tripped.

"We have to keep going!". Chad encouraged as he kicked two away from him.

"Lightspeed Rescue!" They looked to see Finn flip and morph in the air. "Sorry i'm late"

"Finn!". Carter cheered. "Alright lets end this once and for all".

"Carter look out!" Dana cried as Bansheera flung him into a pole. As he landed his helmet got knocked off, the visor shattered.

Carter got up, he jumped in the air hicking Bansheera into the open tomb. "Carter?!" Ryan yelled. Carter gave him a thumbs up.

"If i am going down you're going down with me red ranger!". Bansheera yelled wrapping het nails pulling Carter with her.

"Carter!" Finn yelled running towards the opening. Finn grunted as Bansheera's remaning talons wrapped around her neck pulling her in. Finn managed to grab onto Carter's leg.

"Finn! Carter!". Kelsey cried. They all ran towards the open lid. "Guys hang on!".

"Finn hold on!". Carter cried to the young girl who managed to grab his hand.

"Carter i can't!" Finn screamed. Carter grunted as he began to pull her.

"You're end is near rangers". Bansheera taunted.

Carter looked up at his friends. "Finn! hang on". When he looked down she was glowing. "Finn?"His eyes went wide when she opened her eyes and they were silver."Huh?"

Finn grunted as she kicked Bansheera off of her. She opened her hand sending a gust of wind making sure Bansheera blew to the bottom. Her hand began to slip. Carter couldn't lose her now noticing she had passed out from whatever just happened to her. The room began to shake.

"Carter grab the rope!". Kelsey yelled. "Hurry!". He managed to get Finn up to his chest and wrapped an arm around her. "That's it you can do it!"

They pulled them out. Finn had demorphed. They got to the top and fell out of the tomb. "Finn!". Dana yelled.

"Guys we need to get out of her before it comes down" Joel screamed as the ceiling began to cave in. "Ryan lock it!".

Ryan stumbled over to the tomb. He turned the key to lock it shut. They ran outside. Everyone took of their helmets as the stones began to crumble. The ceremony was over. The rangers had locked them away.

"Huh?" Carter felt Finn move on his back. "Carter?".

He let her down. Bill embraced his three kids as they watched the rest of the stones crumble."The base is gone". Finn looked up at her Dad.

"What? then that could mean!?" Finn cried. "Crescent and Arrow!". Finn broke into a run. The other rangers hot on her heels. She got to the dock. She smiled noticing it wa still intact.

"Finn be careful!". Dana yelled as her sister ran and dove into the water.

"Arrow! Crescent!" She cried patting the water. "Please be okay!". She twisted and turned trying to see their dorsal fins. "Arrow! Crescent!". She screamed when one of them lifted her."Arrow! stay boy!"

"Chad do you see Crescent?" Dana asked. Chad shook his head. Kelsey yelled out as the other whale breached splashing them all. Finn jumped off of Arrow's back and swam over.

"Crescent!" Finn yelled. Everyone cheered.

"Okay Finn get out you can come back tonight". Bill told his daughter pulling her out.

Later that day they all gathered in a field knowing it was time to say goodbye. Finn sat on the hood of the rover. She smiled when she heard Dana say they could finally be a realy family. The rangers gave their morphers back to Captain Mitchell. Each of them gave Finn a huge hug.

Carter was the last to do so. His mind was still flashing back to her eyes and what she did to save them. "Finn i'm still going to be in Mariner Bay when i go back to work so don't be a stranger". He told her hugging her tight. He would always see her as a sister he never had.

"Thank you Carter for bringing Ryan back to me". She whispered into his ear. He smiled as they pulled away. Finn watched as they all parted ways. Ryan and Dana hopped up on the hood joining their sister.

"Ready to go home?" Dana asked Finn. Their Dad let them keep their morphers. "Finn?"

"Yeah i guess so, i would love to have my old room back in our house". Dana smiled at her sister. They still had a house. "Ryan can sleep in the attic". Ryan rolled his eyes.

"Dad who gets the rover?" Dana asked her Father as he joined them.

"The rover is ours until Finn gets her license then its hers". He answered her.

"Yes!" Finn cheered pumping her fists in the air.

Once they drove home Finn collapsed onto her bed. She took her morpher off and laid it on her nightstand. They had the typical house that overlooked where the base and the lagoon was. She smiled seeing the two whales swimming around. She turned when her door opened.

"Hey you okay?". She nodded as Ryan entered the room.

"Yeah i just can't believe its finally over". She told him as she hugged her pillow in her lap. "What's next for us?"

Ryan sighed as he sat in front of her. "Well i always wanted to be a fireman like Dad so thats my plan. Dana wants to become a full time paramedic. Who knows what the future holds".

Finn nodded. "I guess this is our home again, its been a long time since we have been here".

"Yeah but hey you will always have us". Ryan told her kissing her cheek as he got up. "And before you say it no my room is not in the attic its across the hall". Finn laughed throwing a pillow at him.

"Finn!" Her Dad called. She got up and walked to the kitchen. "Carter wants to see me at the firehouse you okay here for a bit?"

"Yeah i got AKA Ryan still here so i promised him to behave". She told her Dad. Her Dad smiled as he waved.

Bill Mitchell arrived at the firehouse to meet Carter. When he noticed Carter outside he frowned at the look on his face.

"Carter is everything alright?" Bill asked joining him. "Carter?"

Carter sat down. "Sir there is something i have to tell you, look i know Bansheera is gone but Finn got us out of the tomb".

Bill looked at his former red ranger. "How?"

"Sir, maybe i was just seeing things but her eyes turned silver and she blew wind from her hands to make Bansheera into the tomb". Carter rushed out. Bill steadied him.

"So its true".

"Captain?"

"I suspected it for awhile even Miss Fairweather did, Carter when Gia brought Finn back she noticed her energy readings were off. I think whatever Gia did may have went into Finn's body to". Bill told Carter as they sat down.

"Sir does Finn know you are awake of this?".

"No she doesn't"

Carter looked at the older man. "Sir i won't tel her that i told you this".

"Thanks Carter".

Bill left to head back home. "Finn? Ryan?. He called as he entered the house. He walked up to the landing and smiled at the sight before him. Ryan was stretched out on the couch with Finn laying into his side sound asleep. Her arms across her stomach. Ryan's arm around her shoulders.

Ryan went to move but Bill shook his head. Bill walked over and covered her up. "Where's Dana?"

"She went out with Kelsey for the night". Ryan answered. "Dad is everything alright?" He asked noticing the look he had on his face.

"I don't know".

"Dad?"

"I just spoke to Carter and something happened in that tomb".He finally spoke. "Finn did something to save them both. Carter told me that her eyes turned silver and she shot wind out of her hands to make Bansheera fall and let them go". Ryan looked down as his sleeping sister.

"Dad what are you saying?"

"Ryan the moment she came back from the temple Miss Fairweather noticed her energy readings were alot higher and were the same as Gia's".

Ryan thought back to what Gia's Father told them. That her ranger story was only just beginning. He hugged her tighter. "What do we do?". Finn turned her head but didn't wake.

"I don't know son, i guess we keep an eye on her. She has the rest of her life ahead of her. Look i might make a call to Tommy in Angel Grove and see what he thinks since he may have dealt with something like this before". Bill answered his son.

"Alright". Ryan agreed. He slowly sat up lifting his sister off of him. He lifted her up. "Lets get you to bed". He carried her to her room. Bill watched as his son tucked her in.

"You used to do that to Dana you know".

"I just wish she could stay this young forever". Ryan spoke joining his Dad at door. "Night Dad".

"Night Ryan".
