Carslisle had been ranting to Edward and Alice about their careless actions. How much it would've hurt Esme and the others to find out that Edward or Bella or both would be dead at the hands of the volturi.

Bella wasn't escaping the preaches because she was changing. Not only was she in a lot of pain she will get the full rant when we arrive back in Forks.

About Forks. Carslisle said.

We have to leave. A funeral for Bella whom crashed her car driving home from the airport, we stay until the day after the funeral and we leave. In no way, shape or form should Bella be seen in Forks.

Alice looked pained. Forks was her favorite place after all and she knew what leaving meant. Not turning back for another 100 years.

I would miss Forks as well, there is no better place to hunt. The variety in animals is just what we need and now we need to leave it behind.

I had never seen Carslisle so angry. He tried to fake it as a punishment but we all knew deep down how hurt he would be if he lost one of his adoptive children. Let alone two. Our family would fall in shambles.

Bella's heartbeat started increasing in pace. She was at the end of the changing process. Soon she would wake up.

The thudding kept getting quicker. An alarming sound for a normal human but normal for us "monsters"

Suddenly it stopped. The room was filled with silence as everyone was waiting in anticipation.

After a brief moment her eyes shot open. Crimson red.

Bella p.o.v.

I woke up and was overwhelmed by senses. I could see the smallest particle of dust, I could hear animals wondering between the walls.

She's awake. Wow she surely looks even more stunning. My amazing Bella.

Edward stop! I uttered. Only for him to reply with 'I didn't say anything'

Three other more silent voices where overwhelming me. A massive headache was forming in my head.

Please guys just wait with the questions. I turned around and saw them all staring at me... it felt embarrassing.

Then it hit me.

I could hear their voices but their mouths weren't moving.

Can you hear thoughts Bella?

Carslisle asked me rather cautiously.

How is that even possible? No two vampire talents are alike and with Bella I am sure she would've been a shield.

I didn't understand how this happened and what a shield was. I knew less of what I just became then I initially thought.

There wasn't much time to think about this weird evolution of things as a burning sensation started engulfing my throat.

You need to hunt Bella but we can not go outside. Its daylight we will be recognised and it is way too dangerous.

A knock at door startled me. My first reflex was to take a fighting stance.

The door opened and in the doorway Demetri stood carrying a big cup. I couldn't resist as my body was automatically pulled to the huge cup.

Within seconds I snatched the cup out of his hand and started drinking it. The burning sensation ached away with every drop of it entering my body.

You will leave tonight but your precense will be required one more in the main room before you leave.

Demetri left the room as I realised what I just drank was human blood. I felt disgusted at myself.

There was nothing else Bella. You had no choice. Carslisle uttered in a sympathetic voice.

Alice hadn't talked to me since I woke up. The last thing I remembered was her apologising before she bit me.

I slowly walked up to her whilst she looked down. It's okay Alice I whispered. You might not feel like it but without you intervening I wouldn't be in existence anymore.

I almost failed to stop Bella, I could've killed you. Edward had to pull me away

It's okay I promise you. It's amazing that you pushed your own reservations aside to save me. I'm forever grateful.

Her face surely lifted up.

Let's catch you up to speed Bella. You all sure made a mess of this. The preach is for in Forks but I'll explain what will happen the coming weeks.

Carslisle p.o.v.

A couple hours later. The sun has just set.

The sun had just gone under and we were being transported by Alec, Jane and Felix to the main room.

I had pressed it to Bella to keep her mind talent a secret. It would be a great possibility that she would not be allowed to leave if Aro and Caius would know.

We also didn't know exactly what it was. We would have to visit our cousins to get that discovered.

I also told all of them that I didn't want a word out of their mouths other then if they are specifically asked a question. It was time for the adults to have a talk now. Although I sympathised with all of them for what they had been trough they could've driven our family apart for ever.

We went trough the big doors at the end of the hallway and the whole guard had gathered in the cirkel. Aro, Marcus and Caius on their huge chairs like Kings.

How exquisite. Young Bella looks even more beautiful then she did before her transformation. Let's see if she's still immune to our gifts then.

This was what I feared. If she wasn't a shield her mind blocking ability could have changed. What if Aro found out about her talent.

Bella slowly walked up to Aro and placed her hand in his.

A sharp laughter escaped from his mouth.

How strange, still nothing. Jane my dear it is your turn.

Jane was now smiling a devilish grin at Bella but to no avail. Her mind still was impenetrable.

You can step back now! Marcus uttered at Bella.

Friends I shall get straight to the point. By the smallest notice that we receive that the family Cullen has stepped out of line. We won't be so lenient.

The volturi don't give second chances. Keep that in mind as you learn Bella what she is.

And last. In no way will you ever reveal to a human again who and what you are.

At that the doors of the main hall were opened and we were shown to the exit. The streets of Volterra where empty buy we could hear heartbeats from nearby buildings.

Carslisle? How are we ever getting back to Forks?
