Debris falls from the skies, as the smoke clouds clear and Steven and Spinel descend, surviving the explosion using Steven's bubble, and floating down to the damaged crater. Steven sets Spinel down on a rock, as he looks around at his surroundings.
Steven gasps "Whoa."
Spinel panicked "Oh, no, no, no, no, no. What did I do? I've wrecked everything."
Steven commented "Well, that's one way to get rid of your injector."
Spinel still panicking asked "But what about the poison? What about the planet? What about your happily ever after?'
Steven stands up and looks out into the distance.
Steven announced "There's no such thing as happily ever after. I'll always have more work to do."
"You're half right me, wale their will almost always be someone or something that needs help, we can still have that happily ever after."
Feeling guilty, Spinel looks down at the ground. Steven smiles as he offers her his hand, which he takes as he helps her up.
Spinel apologized "I'm sorry.'
Connie yelled "Steven?"
Steven yelled "Connie?"
Connie approaches with Lion from the distance, searching for Steven.
Connie yelled "Steven! Where are you?"
Steven [from afar] "Connie! [to Spinel] I'll be right back. Really."
Steven runs off to greet his friend, giving her a warm hug.
Connie started "We saw that huge explosion and -" She hugs Steven
Steven declared "I-I'm okay. I'm okay. What about you?"
Connie [Sighs] "I'm fine."
Both teens exchange a brief blush, before Lion arrives to greet Steven, who gives him a happy hug. A dejected, teary-eyed Spinel watches from afar, longing for another friendship and carrying immense guilt.
Steven cheered "Lion! [Steven and Connie laugh] Were you worried about me?"
Connie declared "Sure seems that way."
A horn sounds off nearby, as Greg arrives in his van with the Crystal Gems. They drive down into the crater, before popping out almost theatrically.
Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Greg yelled "Steven!"
Steven cheered "Guys! Dad!"
The group rejoice with a group hug.
Steven asked "Is everyone from Beach City okay?"
Garnet answered "Everyone is safe and accounted for."
Pearl gives Steven a thumbs-up, while Amethyst and Connie show him peace signs. Steven returns a relieved look... before looking at Greg's blackened arm with concern.
Steven declared "Dad, your arm."
Greg explained "Hey, I just got a little careless and -"
Steven interrupted "Don't worry. You'll be good as new in no time." He grabs Greg's hand
Greg confused declared "But, Steven, you don't have your -"
With a single kiss to the back of his hand, Steven successfully heals Greg's hand, restoring it to its regular color.
Greg cheered "Steven! You got your powers back!"
Amethyst joked "It'd be cool if you could do that to the whole planet, heh."
Steven declared "Amethyst, that's not a bad idea."
Amethyst explained "Dude, I was joking."
Steven walks over to a nearby patch of land and kisses the soil, causing grass and flowers to grow on the barren dirt.
Connie asked "Oh my gosh. That actually worked?"
Steven: Hmmm.
Steven looks around the area that mostly looked like a wasteland bar the single patch of grass.
Steven declared "Looks like I got a lotta kissin' to do."
Rolling up his sleeves, Steven begins to kiss random patches of dirt, restoring their life.
Pearl asked "Should we lend him a hand?"
Garnet declared "We should probably get him some water. [looks at Connie] Staying hydrated is very important when it comes to smooching."
Steven asked "Huh?"
Steven notices Spinel walking away, and runs over to her.
Steven declared "Spinel, wait! I really was going to come back."
Spinel replied "I know.'
Steven asked "Then w-where are you going?"
Spinel answered "I've got work to do. Friendship isn't going to be easy for me. I'm gonna have to work at it. You make me wanna try, but... [sighing] I've already messed up bad with you. I wish I could just start from scratch with somebody."
"You shouldn't have to do that, we've forgiven much worse."
Lapis declared "It's true, he forgave me when i stole their ocean, then again when I told Homeworld about earth."
Paridot added "He forgave me for kidnapping and trying to kill him."
Bismuth also added "He forgave me for trying to shatter him."
Wight Diamond finished "And he forgave Homeworld and me… for everything we did."
Steven stated "Spinel, I - huh?"
A howling wind rushes as a familiar ship approaches, casting a shadow over Steven and Spinel.
Spinel [shocked] "Wha-a-a?!'
Blue Diamond began "Knock, knock, Steven."
Yellow Diamond continued "It's us."
White Diamond finished "The Diamonds? Are we interrupting something?"
Steven declared "Uh... yeah!"
Spinel retreats behind a large chunk of debris, as the three Diamonds descend from the ship.
Steven asked "Yellow, Blue, White, what are y'all doing here?"
Yellow Diamond stated "Well, Steven, we were all talking and - [sniffs] I'm sorry, but what is that smell?'
Steven answered "I don't smell anything."
Yellow Diamond muttered "Ugh. that's 'cause you live here."
Blue Diamond declared "Anyway, we were talking, and we decided -"
White Diamond interrupted "This is taking too long! Steven! We've come to Earth to live with you-u-u!"
White points her massive finger at Steven.
Steven asked "What? My house isn't big enough for all of us."
White Diamond stated "Oh, well, I'm sure we could make due with, um..."
White looks out at Beach City's ruined state: land split open, houses ruined, and injector debris scattered. A car alarm rings in the distance.
White Diamond asked "Has your planet always been this... [waves arm] destroyed?"
Blue Diamond immediately declared "Not that we're judging."
White Diamond agreed "Goodness, no, because judging anything based on appearance is wrong!"
Steven pauses and glares at White, unfazed and less than amused at her patronizing attempt to resonate with him.
Steven declared "Yeah, I don't know about this."
White Diamond declared "But, Steven, it's been soooooo boring since you've left! [fakes crying] I guess we'll just waaaait for you to viiisit us wheneeeever youuuuu'rre reeeaaaaaaaaadyyyyyy."
White slowly stomps back to the ship, feigning sadness in order to guilt Steven into giving her attention. The ground shakes with each colossal footstep.
Steven declares "Aw, come on. Don't be like that. I-It's just, I'm right in the middle of saying goodbye to - [Ding] do you guys remember Spinel?"
"No he's not… he's not doing what I think he's doing is he? We were so close."
White Diamond asked "I'm sorry, who?"
Steven turns to Spinel, still hiding behind a piece of rubble.
Steven asked "Spinel, you've met the Diamonds before, right?"
Spinel reluctantly answered "Y-Yeah, but [covers face] they've never seen me like this."
Spinel steps out and joins Steven before the Diamonds.
Steven announced "Blue, Yellow, White, this is Spinel!"
Spinel declared "My Diamon...nnds." She zig-zags arms repeatedly in the Diamond salute
The three Diamonds react with stunned surprise. White gasps audibly and holds hands to her face.
Yellow Diamond asked "Pink's little playmate?'
Blue Diamond declared "One of Pink's lost treasures."
Steven explained "Mom left her on a floating garden in space."
Blue Diamond consoled "You poor thing.'
Spinel joked "Hah, it was only 6,000 years. I could do that standing on my head!"
Fittingly enough, Spinel does a handstand and claps her squeaky shoes together. In response, Yellow bursts out in laughter "UuAAAahahahahahahahahahahaha! only 6,000 years! Hahahaha! It's true - that's no-o-thing! Ahahahahahahaha, and that goofy handstand [wipes tear of joy] ... I like this Gem."
Blue Diamond declared "She's adorable and so much like Pink."
White Diamond offered "Spinel, I - [clears throat] Steven, since the Earth is so disgusting, we'll just take Spinel back to Homeworld with us, and you can stay here."
Steven asked "Really?"
Spinel asked "Huh?"
The Diamonds begin to sing

Concerned, Steven turns to Spinel.
Steven asked "You think you could handle them? They're not exactly easy to get along with."
Spinel's longing and solemn expression changes to a warm smile, as she bounces and joins the Diamonds in their song, finally having found someone who can reciprocate her affection

Approaching the Diamonds, the trio soon begin to float away for their ship; a happy Spinel giving Steven a peace sign as the four retreat to their ship. Before disappearing off into space, the ship makes a heart gesture with its hands.
Looking up into the sky, Steven begins to sing

Holding hands with Connie as he looks back at the happy Crystal Gems, Greg, and Lion; the latter of which licks Greg's face, prompting laughter. Soon enough, the group warps back to Little Homeworld, where a massive crowd of humans and Gems wait for them. Before running to them, Bismuth hands a newly-built toy to a human baby, while Peridot and Lapis entertain a crowd with their abilities; joining Steven afterward both physically and in song

The scene pans up to the starry night sky, before shifting the scene to a brightly-lit stage. Steven, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Connie, all wearing suits and peacock feathers

They culminate their performance and take a bow before Greg steps onstage and hands Steven a bouquet of roses. Steven smiles as he sheds a single tear as he finishes
Happily ever after never ends
The group claps all together as the curtains close and the "Steven Universe: The Movie" title card appears. The credits roll.
All of the audience applauded, they couldn't really react much to the last part because the majority of it was songs
Alejandro went up to Spinel and asked "Spinel, I need to ask, what do you want to do? I'm only offering to you and only you, do you want to be rejuvenated? Do you want to live on earth? Do you want to live with the Diamonds on homeworld? Do you, despite everything want to go back to the Garden? what do you want Spinel?"
Spinel looked at Steven, her first real friend, Pink didn't count, to pink she was a toy that could be discarded, this Steven, who was frustrated by the actions of his future self wouldn't do that
"I-I want to remember, so I don't make the same mistakes that that Spinel made, and if they will have me, I would like to go to earth."
Alejandro nodded and snapped his fingers as all of them were brought back to their places of origin, with the exception of Spinel who was transported to the Beach with Steven and his friends
During her time on earth Spinel acted as Steven's unofficial Therapist, Dr. Maheswaran recommended Steven also got an actual Therapist so he had both a Human Therapist and a Gem Therapist
After Steven Universe's first real therapy session, his therapist needed a therapist of their own and Steven didn't even get to tell that one about Peridot
The second Therapist for their credit actually lasted till after being told about Peridot before also running away screaming
Steven never talked to the third Therapist because they were being unreasonable about something
Now Steven was about to talk to his next Therapist, Dr. Waybright-Wu-Bunshoy
Steven walks into the Therapy office, Spinel was with him, she came to all of his Therapy sessions
"This is Spinel, she's here for emotional support, so she stays or we both leave." Steven declared firmly, this was the reason he never spoke to his third therapist, because they wouldn't let Spinel join
"That's fine." Dr. Waybright-Wu-Bishoy immediately replied
Steven sat in the long Therapy Chair and Spinel shapeshifted her legs into a chair to sit on
The therapist to Steven's surprise didn't even react to such
"You may call me Sasha if you'd like, where would you like to begin?"
"Well I know I need therapy."
Sasha replied "That's good, admitting theirs a problem is the first step to recovery."
"My first 2 therapist's are currently in therapy themselves because of me."
"Now don't say that, I'm sure that is merely a coincidence." She was clearly lying to make him feel better, she actually had a felling she knew where this was going
"My life is pretty weird."
"Kid trust me when I say nothing surprises me." Sasha declared in a no nonsince voice
"Don't say I didn't warn you, I'd say my problems started when I was 13…
2 hours later
"And we healed all the corrupted Gems back to their normal selves… whoa I've never talked about all of this in one go before."
He expected this Therapist to run away screaming as well but she waited and listened to his rant
"Now I know this all seems far fetched but -"
For the first time in the Therapy session Sasha interrupted "I believe you."
"Wait what!?" Steven asked in disbelief
"I told you earlier that nothing surprises me, I wasn't exaggerating, you're situation may be… unusual but nothing I cannot handle."
Needless to say that Sasha became Steven's actual Therapist from that point forward, and even Sasha agreed that he also needed Spinel to be an unofficial Therapist for him
Dr. Maheswaran told him that his broken and poorly healed bones that were previously untreated were now healing properly, most likely because up till recently he only focused on healing others and not himself
When more Pink Diamond related problems popped up, like Steven suddenly getting her powers and some of her attitude both his official and unofficial Therapists were their to help him through the issues
When Connie eventually graduated from college she and Steven were married, the mostly human way, Stevonnie did appear at the end but they fused when they wanted to and not be a simi-pemafusion like Garnet, Sasha and her 2 wives Marcy and Anne also showed up, none of them looked surprised at all by Stevonnie, though Marcy admitted to being slightly jealous of their fusion ability
Okay I'm finally done! Goodbye forever Steven Universe, no more so much as reading Steven Universe fanfictions for me! Steven Universe Future ruined Steven Universe forever for me and nothing will ever fix that but I promised to finish this story and I finally did! Thank you for reading my story everyone.
