For the past two weeks, Hiccup has been practicing his flying with Toothless trying to get used to the tail but every time he would try to turn the tail it would go the wrong way making them crash into a tree or a bush which caused Toothless to glare at Hiccup who just smiled at him
"I know Toothless but I'm still trying to control the tailfin and predict your flying patterns as well so bare with me ok." Hiccup said as he saw Toothless roll his eyes
"You better get good or else we are dead if we went high in the air." Toothless grunted
"I know, I know. I'll have to get good before we're both dead from a very high height." Hiccup said as he sighed
"Why don't you use the cheat sheet you wrote down on?" Toothless asked
"Toothless you are a genus, I'll use the cheat sheet I made to help me figure out, how to control your tail fin." Hiccup said as he searched for it then he remembered he left it in the forge
"Sorry Toothless it seems like I left it at the forge so let me go get it." Hiccup said as he ran out of the cove and then towards the village where he entered the forge and then into his office where he saw the cheat sheet so he picked it up and pocketed it in his vest so it doesn't get ruined then he walked out and walked back to the cove without knowing that Astrid was glaring and watching him.
"(He's hiding something and it can't be that Night Fury, he wouldn't be stupid to train a dragon or that would make him get kicked off this island and he'll be an outcast fully.)" Astrid thought as she went home
When Hiccup arrived at the cove he went over to Toothless and put on the saddle where he got on it then Toothless flew into the air
Alright, bud let's go over to those sea stacks to practice our flying. Hiccup said as he pointed over at the rocks that were sticking out of the water
In the middle of the ocean
After failing to search for the Dragon Nest and also losing two ships Stoick's ship was limping back to Berk's port and when they arrived other Vikings and Gobber came over to help them
"Did at least find the nest or was it another fail." Gobber said
"It's the same as always we go through the fog bank then we get attacked by the dragons that are hiding in the fog bank we need a new approach to get through the fog bank and find the nest." Stoick said then he got off the boat and stood next to Gobber
"So how has it been while I was away?" Stoick asked but before Gobber can answer a couple of Vikings came running over.
"No one would miss that old nuisance." Viking #1 said
"Out of the old, in with the new." Viking #2 said running past
"The entire village is throwing a party." Viking #3 said as Stoick looks at Gobber
"He's gone?" Stoick asked confused
"Yeah most afternoons, he goes off training in the forest then the next day he comes to the arena with a new skill to make the dragons submit to him and it made him a celebrity in the village that they now call him the Dragon Master and Astrid has become jealous of his rise." Gobber said
"This all happened in just a month." Stoick said
"He has this way with the beasts." Gobber said as Stoick smiled that his son has finally become a dragon killer like him
"If I see him tonight so I can give him a reward for raising in the ranks of Dragon Training." Stoick said as he walks over to the Great Hall with Gobber
"Where does Hiccup hang out at night?" Stoick said as they walked up the stairs to the Great Hall
"He hangs out in the forge in his office if you want to meet with him but right now his out at the moment you'll have to see him tonight when he is back. Gobber said as they sat down as a maid come over with drinks while also flashing her breast at them then she walked off to serve horny drunk Vikings who get the chance to have sex with them in the middle of the Great Hall with other drunk horny Vikings watching.
With Hiccup and Toothless
"Okay, Toothless let's take this nice and slow." Hiccup said
"You know I'm a Night Fury and we don't do slow." Toothless said
"I know you are a Night Fury but we need to make this tail work." Hiccup said
"Okay tail position 3." Hiccup said as he put the tail fin in the 3rd position which caused Toothless to fly out of control so Hiccup quickly had to change tail position
"Okay, it wasn't tail position 3 so 4 it is." Hiccup said as he adjusted the tail fin which righted Toothless then he started to fly properly.
Hiccup and Toothless flew under the arch then when they made it to the sea stacks so Hiccup tied to turn but he crashed into a sea stack.
"Sorry." Hiccup said then he crashed into the other sea stack which made Toothless whack him with his ear
"Focus and do not crash again." Toothless said
"Yeah, yeah I'm on it." Hiccup said as he looked at the cheat sheet then he looked back
"Position Three, no Four." Hiccup said as he felt Toothless wobble when he put it in the third position but he quickly put it in the fourth position then he went higher as he went above the cloud cover until the wind blew his cheat sheet away
Oh no my Cheat sheet! Stop! Hiccup shouted which caused Toothless to stop flying which made Hiccup separate away from Toothless then they started to free fall down to the ground very fast
"Why did you tell me to stop now we are going to die." Toothless screamed
"Oh dear okay you have to angle yourself so I can get back into the saddle." Hiccup said as he was still trying to grab his cheat sheet while also telling Toothless what to do then Toothless tail fin hit Hiccup which made him fly back where he could finally grab the cheat sheet then he moved himself over to Toothless where he grabbed the saddle and stripped himself in then he tried to slow down but he was still going to fast and he saw he was nearing sea stacks that would surely kill him so he took a look at his cheat sheet for a second before throwing it away then he maneuvered Toothless Tail fin as they salam through the sea stacks with ease
"That was quite fun but let's not do that again." Toothless said as he did a victory blast which exploded in front of them
"That was awesome and scary." Hiccup said then he saw what Toothless did and knew they were going to fly through it
"Oh come on, did you have to do that Toothless." Hiccup said as they flew through the smoke which caused Toothless to laugh
"We need to find somewhere to land and have something to eat I'm starving." Hiccup said then Toothless dived down into the sea where he got a mouthful of fish then Hiccup caught a couple as well then Toothless shot out of the water where they landed on an island where Hiccup got off Toothless and set up a campfire which Toothless shot his Plasma into which made it burn then Hiccup found a stick where he stabbed it in the fish where he roasted it over the fire cooking it then they heard a couple of squeaks and saw Terrible Terriors flying towards their island
"Here comes the seagulls of the dragon world." Toothless said then he spew up the fish's head back up as he looked at Hiccup who shook his head and went back to his fish just as the dragons landed in front of them
"Look at all of this fish we can eat." Orange one said as he grabbed the fish head Toothless spewed up for Hiccup then a green one came over and they started to fight over it until the orange one blasted the green one away and ate the fish head in victory then Toothless saw a fish head walking away from the pile
"What the? Since when did fish walk." Toothless said then the offender showed themselves as it was a yellow terrible terror trying to sneak away with the fish
"Oh no you don't." Toothless said as he grabbed the fish and snatched it off the terror who spat out the tail from his mouth
"You shouldn't have done that now prepare for my fire." Terror said as it was about to fire at Toothless but Toothless just spat a fireball into his mouth which caused the terror to be dazed which made Hiccup laugh then he threw his fish at the Terror who ate it up then he walked over to Hiccup and slept next to his lap which made Hiccup pat it then a purr was heard
"Not fireproof on the inside and you guys are more docile than the ones who raid us why is that?" Hiccup asked as he looked at the terror who was asleep then at Toothless who was eating his share of fish
"(I'll find out why you guys are raiding us since everything we know about you are wrong.)" Hiccup thought as he leaned back into Toothless then he felt the terror climb onto his lap then falling asleep which made Hiccup smile
After sitting at the beach for an hour Hiccup saw the fire has died down and the sun was setting so he carefully took the terror off his lap and set it next to him which woke up the little dragon who looked at Hiccup
"Sorry, little one but where I'm going isn't safe for you or Toothless." Hiccup said as he got onto the saddle and flew back to the cove where Toothless landed then Hiccup got off the saddle then Toothless went over to the pond where he took a drink of water
"Bye Toothless I'll see you tomorrow I hope." Hiccup said as he ran to the entrance of the cove where he ran to the forge where he sat down and opened up a drawing of Toothless.
30 minutes later Hiccup was bored out of his mind until his father walked inside his office which made Hiccup alert so he tried his best to hide the drawing of Toothless
"Dad your back and if your looking for Gobber he isn't here he should be in the Great Hall getting hammered and possibly telling random stories again." Hiccup said
"I wasn't looking for Gobber I was actually looking for you instead." Stoick said
"You have! I mean what do you need dad." Hiccup said after he got out of his shock
"You have been hiding a secret from me." Stoick said which caused Hiccup to slightly panic
"(How did he know about Toothless I thought I was careful not to be susperiuces of my activities.)" Hiccup said
"Nothing on this island happens without me knowing about it." Stoick said which made Hiccup panic even more
"Let's talk about that dragon." Stoick said as he glared at Hiccup who was fully panicking
"(Good bye Toothless and good bye life.)" Hiccup thought as he looked at the grounds
"I'm sorry Dad I should've told you about..." Hiccup said then he heard his father laughing
"(Shouldn't he be more upset about me training a dragon.)" Hiccup thought
"Your not upset?" Hiccup asked confused
"What no I'm not upset I was expecting this." Stoick said which made Hiccup even more confused
"(He's happy that I trained a dragon.)" Hiccup thought
"I can't wait until you mount your first Nadder's head on a spear or spill your first Gronckle's guts or face down a Monstrous Nightmare the first time without fear." Stoick said not knowing about the sheer panic on Hiccup's face
"I can finally name you heir to Berk again with you doing so well in the arena." Stoick said
"(He's not going to like what I have been doing in secret.)" Hiccup thought
"Seems like we finally have something to talk about since you have been keeping your side of the deal." Stoick said as he brought a stall over then the two Stoick boys sat in silence not knowing what to say
"Oh, before I forget I brought you something." Stoick said as he brought out and showed Hiccup something
"This is yours to protect you in the arena and in the raids it used to belong to your mother before she died." Stoick said
"(This belonged to my mother, i'm going to cherish this.)" Hiccup thought
"Thanks Dad." Hiccup said with a genuine smile on his face
"It use to be part of her armor from her breastplate area." Stoick said which made Hiccup grossed out
"It keeps her close you know since we have a matching set." Stoick said as he tapped the helmet on top of his head then Hiccup faked yawn since this was too awkward
"I should get going to bed since I have a big day tomorrow." Hiccup said which made Stoick stand up
"Yeah you need your sleep to defeat the Gronckle tomorrow and I hope you like the hat." Stoick said
"Thanks for dropping by and giving me a breast hat." Hiccup said as he saw his father awkwardly walk out while trying not to knock anything off then he was out the door and headed to the Great Hall to drink to forget about this embarrassing moment while Hiccup just stood there in shock at what happened then he remembered what tomorrow is
"I got to lose Tomorrow and make Astrid face the Monstrous Nightmare instead of me." Hiccup said as he picked up the lantern then he walked out of his office and locked down the forge then he headed home to sleep.
