Ch45

Well there goes my chance at this school. Percy ran as Rachel Dare ran after him. It was supposed to be a relaxing day. He was going to go to orientation at his new high school then meet with Chris and Triton for some fun but instead he and Rachel were attacked by monsters during his school orientation.

Good thing she saw them right away. I was able to hold them off but fighting in a school isn't a good idea. Just as he was about to turn into the corner he ran into a familiar person.

"Hey Percy are you ready?" Chris asked. His brother was wearing an orange camp shirt and jeans. His face was concealed by a face mask and dark pair of sunglasses.

He stopped to catch his breath. "M-Monsters, there were monsters at my school's orientation," he said as his mind raced through various thoughts.

"It's alright are you safe?" Chris asked.

He nodded his heart pounding in his chest. "Yeah I managed to get away, I couldn't fight in there."

"Percy!" Called out a voice from behind him. Turning around he saw Rachel Dare come up to him.

"Is she with you?" Chris asked curiously.

"Yeah remember Hoover Dam?" He asked Rachel came up to.

"Oh my god Percy what the hell was that you're going to be in so much trouble," Rachel said before turning to his brother. "Hey you were in Hoover Dam too right?"

Chris nodded. "Yeah."

"Um Rachel this is my half brother Chris. Chris this is Rachel," he said introducing his brother to well I guess he could call her a friend.

"Nice to meet you again," Rachel said. "Are you one of these demigods too?"

Chris nodded. "We are." The sound of sirens blared in the distance. "Percy we should get going."

He nodded. "Sorry Rachel but I have to get going."

Rachel grabbed his hand and pulled out a marker. "Call me later ok? You owe me that."

He could feel his face heat up. "Y-Yeah I will."

When she was done Rachel put away her marker. "Goodbye Percy I hope we can see each other again in the future."

He waved goodbye as she turned around and ran away. "Come on we should get to camp," Chris said.

"How are things there?" He asked as they walked down the street.

"They are tense. Grover is having a meeting with the Cloven Council about his searcher's license," Chris said as he hailed a cab.

"I hope all goes well with him," he said as they got into the car. "Any news from Bianca about Nico?"

"I've heard nothing," his brother said shaking his head. "Rachel seemed nice."

"Uh yeah she's cool," he said feeling his ears heat up. "I mean I guess we are friends. She noticed those monsters before I did." He quickly explained about he met Rachel and the run in with the monsters that attack his school. "I didn't notice the monsters right away."

"Some mortals are clear sighted," Chris said. "Like your mother Rachel most likely has that gift. She seems like a nice girl."

"Y-Yeah," he said as the cab pulled up near camp.

"Come on Grover's meeting with the council is probably going on," he said as they crossed the barrier."

The camp seemed different from last summer. There was a tension in the air and less people. "Hey is that monster," he said in the arena. He noticed large dog chewing on the head of a practice dummy. It looked at him with wide playful eyes.

"No that's Mrs. O'Leary," Chris said. "She is harmless."

"Ah hello you must be new," said a new voice. A man in a Greek toga with a sword at his side appeared.

"Percy this is Quintus our new sword instructor," Chris said folding his arms.

"Um nice to meet you," he said.

Quintus smiled at him. "You too my boy."

Chiron then appeared behind him. "Ah Percy just in time come on Grover's trial has already started."

He nodded and quickly followed Chiron with his brother. "So is this Quintus guy really are sword teacher?"

"Yes he is," Chiron sighed. "Come on we have other matters to attend to."

They arrived at a grove where they saw a group of Satyr. They sat to the side as they saw Grover and a female Satyr sitting across from a group of elderly satyr.

"She is Grover's girlfriend Juniper," Chris muttered.

"But I swear I'll find Pan," Grover said. "I've heard him and felt his presence."

"Enough with this nonsense!" An elderly satyr said. "You have until the end of summer to prove your preposterous claims or else we will revoke your license. This council is hereby closed!"

With that the elderly satyrs left leaving Grover and his girlfriend alone. "Hey Grover are you alright?" he asked as he helped his friend up.

"I'm alright Percy thanks for coming," Grover. "I just have to find a Pan, I can't lose my searcher's license."

"It's alright you'll find him I know you will," Juniper said.

Grover nodded, "I'm just worried about everything."

"We'll help you with what we can," Chris said. "Oh Percy come on we have cabin inspection."

"Oh crap. See you around Grover," he said. Grover nodded and went off with his girlfriend.

"How's the cabin?" He asked.

"Alright I had help cleaning it," Chris said as he opened the door and was greeted by Tyson.

"Hi Percy," Tyson said giving him a hug.

"Tyson! How are you man," he said as he hugged his brother.

"He got here a few days ago," Chris said. "We've been busy cleaning the cabin with Reyna but nothing much."

He entered the cabin saw that it was not only clean but there were a bunch of sea motifs on the wall. "Nothing much this place is clean," he said. "Good job Tyson."

"Thank you," Tyson said.

"Glad to see you're back," said another familiar voice. Turning around he saw Reyna walk in/

To his surprise she came at him with a hug. "H-Hey Reyna how have you been?" He asked his fluttering for a second.

"The usual. Just helping out and talking with my sister," Reyna said pulled away. "She's been busy with the Amazons but she seems to like it."

"Good to hear hopefully we can see her soon," he said as he rested on his bed.

With that he unpacked his stuff while careful to not make a mess. When it was time for cabin inspection Silena came and was impressed. "Nice job," she said with a smile. "This is very clean." She winked at him before leaving.

"Well we passed," He sighed. "Anything else new going around here?"

Chrysaor nodded. "Apparently Chiron sent Clarisse out on a special quest. She returned with an enemy demigod name Chris Rodriguez."

"Where did they go?" He asked as they al rested on their beds.

Chrysaor removed his face mask his lips pursed in a frown. "Apparently this son of Hermes came out of the labyrinth delirious."

"The labyrinth? Like the minotaur?" He asked scratching his head.

Chris nodded, "The very same one. We believe that the enemy is going to us it against us."

"Sounds complicated," he said folding his arms

Reyna nodded. "The labyrinth supposedly is spread out all around the United States. From what I read he could easily have gotten lost."

"Percy!" A female voice called causing all of them to jump up.

Turning to the water fountain he saw an Iris message of Bianca di Angelo her face red with tears. "Bianca what's going on?" He asked.

"Percy I don't have a lot of time," Bianca said her face red with tears. "Nico he is working with Kronos, he attacked the hunting try to take me back."

He leaped out of bed. "What! When did this happen?" Great that kid ended up brainwashed also.

"Foolish boy," Chrysaor muttered as Reyna shook her head.

"Last night," Bianca said tears falling down her face. "Listen I'm going into the labyrinth to try and find him, I'm going to try and save him."

"The labyrinth is dangerous place," Chris warned.

"I know," Bianca said. "But I have to save him Nico is my family. Percy if you hear anything at camp please let me know. Nico has a grudge against a lot of people, I fear he will do something drastic."

"Don't worry I'll keep an eye out for him," he said firmly. "Good luck. We'll help you with what we can."

"Thank you. I have to go now I hope we can meet again soon," Bianca said as the Iris message ended.

He slowly sat down on his bed. "Great this makes things more complicated."

"That fool," Reyna said shaking her head. "To turn his back on the gods and work for the enemy."

"You mentioned that before but have you discovered anything yet?" He asked.

"No not yet," Chris said. "I'll be keeping my eyes open though, it wouldn't surprise me that the enemy has spies here."

"Well hopefully we can find any spies before they cause more damage," he said.

"Don't worry I tend to find them the next time they act," Chris said with a grin.

Man what a long day. He was walking along the lake trying to clear his mind. Tyson was with him and talking to him about his time down in their father's realm.

"And daddy lets me ride the sea ponies when I'm free," Tyson said. "I also made a lot of chariots "

"Good to hear it big guy," he said. "I'm looking forward to spending time with you and Chris."

Tyson smiled at him his eye wide with excitement. "Me too."

That night the Poseidon Cabin decided to roast marshmallows together. It's so weird having a large family now. He sat with Chrysaor, Tyson, and Reyna as they chatted with each other.

"So Percy are you ready for Summer?" Reyna asked. She was seated awkwardly close to him, he didn't notice at first until their hands brushed against each other.

"Y-Yeah. Things are tense but I hope we can enjoy ourselves," he said.

Reyna smiled at him and turned to the fire. "You know I like this place. Even if I don't feel like I belong I enjoy it."

He nodded. "Yeah camp is great." Turning to face her their eyes met and for a second his heart skipped a beat.

Reyna leaned in closer. "Percy I wanted to know if-"

They were cut off by the sound of Tyson crying as his food fell into the ground. His reddened realizing how close Reyna's face was. This is awkward.

Nico stabbed the satyr as the crowd cheered him on. Bianca I'll get you back. He drew his blade the satyr fell to the ground dead a wide smile spread across his face. He laughed, this so fun just like the games he always imagined.

"The winner is the Ghost General Nico di Angelo!" The announcer said.

Antaeus' fighting ring was just the perfect training ground. It was literally like something out of mythomagic, here he could fight many opponents and improve his skills just like in the game. I'll be a strong hero. I'll save and protect Bianca.

He looked up at Luke who gave him a small smile that made his heart flutter. I'll be a real hero. I'll save Bianca and show her the truth. He admired Luke, almost as much as Percy Jackson, Luke was giving him the strength he needed to get his sister back.

Percy's green eyes and his heroic deeds still made his heart flutter but he knew now that he would probably be his enemy. Anyone who separates me from Bianca is my enemy.

He raised his sword up in the sky. I am the ghost general and those who defy me suffer. A smile spread across his face as the gate to the arena opened and another opponent came out.

Kronos's presence soon touched his mind. Continue to serve and you'll have vengeance. The gods never cared about you, your father would kill you without second thought. Only through me can your family be reunited.

He nodded and clenched his sword. Help me get her back and I'll swear loyalty to you. You'll have my gratitude for life. He tipped his fingers into the blood of the dead saytr and rubbed a line under each eye and laughed.

AN: I thought I would mention in this story Luke is a hypocrite but he does care about Annabeth deep down. Also Alabaster he is trying to make things more tolerable for Annabeth. Still doesn't excuse their actions but lets just say they are hypocrites
