Chapter 29.

Dominick was lying on the bed. He still could not believe it. He rolled over and put his hand under his head, just watching her snooze. He smiled as he watched her. He didn't realize how long until she stirred in bed and opened her eyes.

She smiled at Dominick and he knew she was the one. "Did you watch me sleep?" she asked, confused. Dominick confessed that he watched her sleep and smiled lovingly.

"Sleep well?" Dominick asked with a smile. "You look so peaceful and beautiful when you're snoozing," he added as he approached her, placing his hand on her growing baby bump. She couldn't help but smile at the loving touch and leaned into him, feeling the warmth of their love radiating between them.

The Benson family had a big day and Olivia was thrilled that the horrible bruise was long gone. As they got out of the car, Sonny put his hand on her back to calm her nerves before they headed for his parents' house.

"It's okay Liv," he reassured her. "We might be running behind schedule but my folks will adore you." Olivia remained quiet, feeling anxious about meeting Sonny's parents for the first time.

"Don't worry Mom." Noah smiled at her as he entered the house. She took a deep breath. She really wanted to make a good impression.

Sonny's mom welcomed them warmly with a smile. "Hello its nice to finally meet you in person. I have heard a lot about you before. It is great to finally put a face to the name."

Olivia blushed and awkwardly smiled as she shook Sonny's mom's hand. "Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Carisi." she said politely.

"Oh please, call me Serafina." Mrs. Carisi's friendly demeanor helped ease Olivia's nerves, and she appreciated the warm welcome. As they settled in for dinner, Mrs. Carisi had prepared Noah's favorite dish of lasagna, and a nice dessert.

"It's nice to meet you Olivia. I'm Dominic's dad."

"Hello Mr. Carisi, it's a pleasure to meet you as well." Olivia replied with a warm smile. As Olivia shook Dominic's father's hand, she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous. "Oh please, call me Dominic." Dominic's dad said with a chuckle.

After the food was served all went together in the living room and that's when the nervousness came over Olivia again. Olivia sat in between Noah and Sonny. Dominick's put a hand on her leg and tried to reassure her.

"Mom and Dad! Olivia and I have something important to tell you." Sonny announced. His parents looked at him with interest, so he smiled in response.

"Olivia and I are having a baby." Dominick said, sounding nervous.

Dominick's parents stared at each other, then looked at Olivia's baby bump. She felt their gaze and fidgeted in her chair, feeling a mix of joy and anxiety. After a quiet pause, Dominick's dad exclaimed, "Wow! Congrats to you both!" with excitement on his face.

Dominick's mom then gave Olivia a big hug, and said "We are so happy for you both!"

"Noah, you excited to be a big brother?" Serafina asked.

Noah's face lit up with excitement and he eagerly exclaimed, "Yes! I can't wait to be a big brother!" The whole room burst into laughter at his contagious enthusiasm.

Noah went outside in the garden, while the grown ups stayed to talk.

"Considering the risks that come with being an older mother, how are you feeling about your pregnancy?" Serafine expressed her concern.

Olivia responded confidently, "Even though there are risks. I am feeling surprisingly positive. I want to assure you that I am receiving exceptional prenatal care and closely

monitoring my health." Sonny's mom was happy that Olivia was honest and confident. She was impressed with Olivia's proactive approach to her health and respected her for being so open. Olivia's attitude and honesty helped to reassure Sonny's mom about her pregnancy and showed that she was responsible.

"Do you already know the gender of the baby?" she asked, changing the subject.

Olivia smiled and replied, "Not yet. We have decided we want to wait until the birth to find out."

"I'm not sure I can wait for my grandkid's birth to find out the gender." chuckled Sonny's mom.

"Mom, you had to wait until we were born to know our gender right?" Sonny asked with a smile.

"Yes, we needed to wait until you were born to find out if you would be a boy or girl." the mom replied, smiling back at her son. "You could check the gender now, if you feel like it."

"Mom, we want to be surprised."

"I wanna know the gender now, but you two making me wait. I guess I will just have to be patient." she chuckled.

"Don't worry, we'll be there to help you with the baby." Serafina said. Olivia was thankful for their support during her pregnancy and knew she could rely on Dominick's family. It was a bittersweet experience for her as she had never received such support before.

"Thanks so much, I really appreciate it." Olivia replied, getting emotional.

"Hey Olivia, we've got your back. You're part of the family now along with Noah and the new bundle of joy! We'll be there for you every step of the way," Serafina said warmly. Olivia felt thankful hearing this.

Dominick turned to her a smile on his face "You see I told you everything will turn out great at the end."

Olivia couldn't believe how lucky she was to have Sonny and his family by her side during this difficult time. As he leaned in for a kiss, Olivia felt overwhelming gratitude and relief wash over her.
