A/N: My girlfriend wanted Bemily getting engaged at Disney and I delivered (so this one's for you, babe ❤️)

Beca was excited, really; they had planned this trip to Disney for ages, and it was one of their first big vacations together by themselves. And nothing was better than seeing her girlfriend happy (Emily was practically bursting at the seams from excitement). She was bouncing in her seat next to Beca again, her half filled plastic cup of soda and barely eaten bag of peanuts both abandoned on her fold out tray as they neared their destination and could see some of the landmarks below out of the plane window. Beca had finished both her drink and bag of peanuts and had debated asking Emily if she could finish hers before Emily had gotten distracted by looking out the window.

"We're almost there! Oh my God Beca, I can see it!" Emily said, squeezing Beca's hand and resuming the frantic bouncing in her seat she'd been doing the last hour or so. Beca leaned over and peered out the window as best she could; and sure enough, the Magic Kingdom was right below. And less than an hour later, they were standing right in front of it.

And less than half an hour after that, she and Emily had bought matching rainbow ears and Beca had gotten a bit more excited herself.

It was after they'd bought matching pretzels that she really began feeling the magic (maybe that 'magic' was the excitement and the exhilaration of finally being there after planning this trip for ages, combined with the heat of the mid August day; she didn't know). In any case, the rest of the day went by in a blur, and in the evening she couldn't even remember all of what they had done because it was only the first day but they had already packed so much in. The last item on the list for this first day was the fireworks show. Beca and Emily stood hand in hand in their matching ears (Emily's other hand was holding the oversized drink they'd bought because of the free refills anywhere in the park), eagerly awaiting for the show to start.

"I'm sorry I wasn't feeling the trip at first," Beca began, looking away from the top of the castle where the first of the fireworks would begin. "I just—"

"It's okay, Becs," Emily assured her, turning and giving her girlfriend a smile. "You're having fun now, yeah? Don't worry about earlier."

Beca just nodded, looking back up towards the sky. As soon as she had, an announcement rang out that the show would be starting soon. She felt Emily squeeze her hand, and felt herself once again get excited. Little did she know that the real excitement of the evening hadn't even happened yet.

A few minutes into the show, Beca felt Emily squeeze her hand as she barely heard her girlfriend clear her throat. She turned her head to ask if she was okay, and just as she did, she felt Emily let go of her hand. Time froze as Beca watched Emily drop to one knee right beside her, her hands slightly shaking as she presented a tiny box to Beca.

"Becs..." Emily paused a moment, tears welling in her eyes. Beca thought it was for dramatic effect, but Emily gave a shaky laugh and shook her head. "I had a whole speech prepared for you but I can't remember it right now, so I'll just say the most important part. Will you marry me?"

Tears welled in Beca's eyes, and she reached her arms out to Emily, who quickly stood up. "Yes...yes, I'll marry you, Emily Junk."

The two embraced, surrounded by the cheers of the witnesses in the crowd who had seen the proposal almost louder than the fireworks.

"You're the beat to my lyrics," Emily said suddenly.

Beca had been nearly asleep, and slowly opened her eyes and turned her head to the side, barely making out Emily's profile (the hotel tv was on because they both needed noise to sleep, and Beca saw that Emily still appeared to be wide awake).

"That was something from the speech I had planned when I was going to propose to you," Emily said. "I have it all written on my laptop in a document and I thought I'd memorized it and was ready, but I seriously still can't remember it."

She laughed shakily again. "But you still said you'd marry me anyway. I can't believe it."

"Em, I'd still marry you even if you'd just asked me that part," Beca said, rolling over in bed to snuggle against her girl- fiancee, she reminded herself, who wrapped an arm around Beca's back. "You didn't need to write me a speech. But it's you, so I know you did, and I appreciate it."

Emily leaned down and kissed the top of Beca's head. "I know it won't be the same but when we get home, I'll just let you read it because that's still how I want to do it."

Beca snuggled into Emily's side, nodding her head and closing her eyes. "That sounds good to me, I can't wait."

She was close to nodding off again when Emily's voice broke the silence (besides the tv) again. This time she sounded like she was almost asleep too, and this was the last thought she'd have before she drifted off to sleep:

"I can't believe you said yes."

A/N: Someday I hope to propose to my girlfriend at Disney (or somewhere equally as special), the Beca to my Emily and the beat to my lyrics ❤️ Thanks for reading! c:
