Last time, Zeru managed to form his own body and still wanted to fight. Yukin was the only one willing and able to face this monster, but the loser could be facing oblivion. Even so, Yukin took his challenge and the duel went on. Yukin managed to summon Serapho, Shudamin, Tenrun, and Vondoon. Hopefully, it will be enough against the likes of Superior Fiend Mephistos.
"It's impressive that you were able to summon all four of them, but not one of can help you." Zeru mocked. "Besides, I still have Superior Zero and Superior Gate. As long as they're on the field, you won't deal me any damage."
'That might be true, but Shudamin could change that. His two spells only work if both of them are on the field...or he's got Mephistos since it's level is higher than ten.' Yukin thought. 'If I use Shudamin's ability to drain half of Mephistos' attack points, one of them can destroy it. That will leave him wide open for the others.' "I activate Shudamin's ability! I use one overlay unit to drain half of Mephistos attack points, and they are added to Shudamin's!" Shudamin took one of the overlay unit and used it to drain Mephistos power with it dropping to 2350 and Shudamin's power increasing to 4850. "Here goes nothing! Venom Vondoon, attack Superior Fiend Mephistos with Ferocious Toxic!"
"Have you forgotten already?! Superior Zero negates all damage, and Superior Gate will take it all to add to my life points!" Zeru said.
"That won't matter once Mephistos is destroyed!" Yukin called. Venom Vondoon unleashed the attack and blasted Mephistos with it. A large explosion went off and Yukin thought he had that monster, but he was surprised to see it was still standing. "What?! How is it still standing?!"
"A pointless maneuver." Zeru said as he showed a monster of a hideious fairy-like creature. "All I had to do was send Superior Spriggan to my graveyard and my monster can't be destroyed this turn. What's more is that the effects of Superior Zero and Superior Gate kick in! First, Superior Zero absorbs all the damage I would have taken!" He said as smoke and everything else was absorbed in the circle. "Now, Superior Gate takes it all and increases my life points!" The gate opened and shined a light on Zeru that increased his life points to 4150. "Of course, you can still attack. So please, let's see what the other three have."
"Darn it." Yukin said as he missed his chance. Attacking anymore now would only help Zeru. "I'll just place a face-down and end my turn!"
"And since it's the end of your turn, our monster's attack points return to normal." Zeru said as Mephistos and Shudamin had their power return to normal.
'That might not have worked, but Shudamin still has an overlay unit.' Yukin thought as he might get another chance. 'I'll just have to try again next turn.'
"My turn!" Zeru called as he drew his next card. "First, the Superior Wyrm I sent to the graveyard last turn resurrects since Mephistos is on the field." His Superior Wyrm rose to the field with it having 1000atk points. "What's more is that Superior Spriggan returns to my hand for me to use next turn." Yukin didn't like the sound of that as he took back his card. "I bet you were planning to use Shudamin's ability again, but it won't work since I have this. You won't be able to stop it either since Tenrun's negating ability only works when the monster is on the field." Zeru saw right through Yukin's plans. That one card has put a damper on Yukin's plans. He's got to figure out how to get rid of it. "I'll make things worse for you by playing Evil's Wailing! Since I have a Mephistos on the field, all the monsters currently on your field have their special abilities negated."
"No!" Yukin called. Mephistos unleashed a wailing sound that was quite unsettling with Yukin and his monsters covering their ears. All their powers were now locked. How is Yukin going to get himself out of this.

Promin Academy
All of Yukin's friends could hear the sound of that monster. That unfriendly sound made them all even more worried about Yukin.
"What is going on up there?" Sylvester questioned.
"I sure hope Yukin is doing okay up there." Ryo said.
"Drewsin, you were real close with Yukin? Do you think he can really win?" Brui asked.
"I like to think so, but that Zeru is probably the toughest challenge he's ever faced." Drewsin said. "I hate to say it, but it might take everything Yukin has to survive against him." Hearing all of this made Zoey restless. She couldn't take not knowing what was really going on anymore. That's why she ran straight for it. She ran towards the beam and was being lifted into the sky. "Zoey!"
"Zoey, what are you doing?!" Huo called.
"I'm going after Yukin! I have to know what's going on!" Zoey said.
"Zoey, it could be dangerous!" Siri called, but it was too late for Zoey to turn back now. "Come on. We've got to go after her."
"No." Drewsin said. "There's nothing we can do anyway but leave everything in Yukin's hands. Zoey knows that. She just wants to be close to him." All of them were a little astonished with what Zoey was doing, but they know they can't stop her.
"That girl is crazy." Promin said.
"Maybe, but Yukin means a lot to her. No matter what happens, she wants to stay by his side." Yokon said.
"What? Are they a couple or something?" Promin questioned.
"That's all Zoey, not Miranda, if that's what you're worried about." Yokon teased. "Either way, Zoey wants to help Yukin anyway she can, even if it means just watching and supporting from the sidelines." Zoey knows she can't do much, but it's better than just waiting for Yukin. She's been apart from him for too long.

The Duel
Now that Zeru has blocked Yukin's monsters' abilities, they are in real trouble now.
"Now, which one should I attack?" Zeru said as he tried to decide. "I'm sure you're aware Mephistos attacked multiple times, but that's because of a rare and unique ability that allows him to attack multiple duelists. In a duel like this, it isn't much help."
"Just get to it." Yukin said as he was getting annoyed with Zeru.
"Fine. Mephistos, attack Shadow Shudamin!" Zeru ordered. "Dark Matter Destruction!" Mephistos was getting ready to attack, but Yukin had something himself.
"I activate my Defensive Stance trap!" Yukin called as his trap activated. "It switches the monsters you attack into defense mode and they can't be destroyed this turn!" Shudamin switched to defense mode with 2000def points and the attack was blocked.
"That won't stop me! Superior Wyrm, attack!" Zeru ordered. His other monster went on the attack and smashed against Shudamin, but nothing happened.
"I see. You're aiming to increase your life points." Yukin said and he was right. Zeru's spell cards increased his life points as they went to 5150. "This is bad. I've got to figure something out and fast."
"Yukin!" He looked to the side and saw Zoey emerging through the clouds.
"Zoey?! What are you doing here?!" Yukin said.
"I couldn't sit by and just wait for you to come back! I had to see you were okay!" Zoey claimed.
"How sweet that your little cheerleader came, but I'm afraid all she's going to see if your failure and misery!" Zeru claimed. "For now, I end my turn."
"You might have the upper hand for now, but that's about to change!" Yukin said as he drew his next card. "I play Extra Extract's ability from my graveyard! By banishing it, and up to the number of monsters that were discarded, I get to draw one card for each one! That's why I'll banish Dark Time Swordsman and Change-o Chameleon!"
'He's not getting rid of his tuner monster?' Zeru wondered with Yukin drawing two more cards.
"Next, I summon Card Lizard to the field!" Yukin said as he summoned out his lizard with cards for a frill neck and had 1000atk points. "When Card Lizard is summoned, I get to draw two more cards!" He drew two more cards and they were two cards that could help. "First, I place one card facedown. Then, I activate Card of Advance! I'll be able to destroy any spell or trap card on the field while also getting an extra draw!"
"So, you plan to destroy Superior Zero or Superior Gate?" Zeru said.
"Actually, I'm destroying my own card!" Yukin said as he destroyed his own face-down.
"What a fool! You should have destroyed my own card! Now, you'll never be able to deal damage!" Zeru taunted.
"I'm sure you had something planned for that, but I have something else in mind." Yukin said. "The trap I destroyed was Reanimated Soul, and this trap's real power works when it's in my graveyard! By banishing this trap, I can return one monster from my field back to my hand! It also allows me to summon a monster from my graveyard as long as I negate it's special abilities! So, I'll return Card Lizard and bring out Soundwave Tuner!" He took his lizard back and Soundwave Tuner appeared on the field with 0atk points. "You might have blocked my monsters' abilities last turn, but I'll just have to evolve their power! I activate Equilibrium! This spell card change the level of one monster to match the level of another, even if that monster is an xyz monster! That's why I'm going to change Shadow Shudamin into a level seven monster just like Serapho!" A red light shined around both monsters as Shudamin's rank turned into a level and became a level seven monster.
"A rank turned into a level?!" Zeru said.
"With that done, I now overly my level seven Shadow Shudamin with level seven Sapphire Serapho!" Yukin said as the two monsters turned into energy and began forming together. "With blue flames of darkness, this monster will bring down all those who oppose him! I xyz summon Shadow Sapphire Serapho!" His two monsters have merged their power into one and formed his monster with it having 2800def points. "I'm not stopping there!"
"There's more?" Zeru questioned.
"I play Star Scanner!" Yukin said. "This card increases the level of a monster on the field by two, but it's special abilities are negated! Since Soundwave Tuner already has her abilities negated, I'll use this on her!" He said as his tuner monster's level increased to three. "With that, I now tune my level three Soundwave Tuner with my level seven Tempest Tenrun!"
"What?! You can synchro summon again?!" Zeru questioned as he didn't expect that.
"Fly even higher and bring forth the storm!" Yukin called as the synchro process happened with both of his monsters. "I synchro summon Hurricane Tenrun!" Hurricane Tenrun emerged on the field with it having 3000def points. "I'll switch Vondoon into defense mode and place one card facedown to end my turn." Vondoon switched to defense mode with 2000def points.
"Ha! All that build-up for nothing!" Zeru taunted. "What's the point in summoning those powerful monsters when you can't do anything except for some defense."
'Maybe, but I know they are the keys to winning this.' Yukin thought.
"You talked about evolving their power, but you didn't do that with all of them." Zeru claimed. "If your plan is to beat me with them, you'll have to find a way to use ALL of them." He said as he was referring to Vondoon.
'He's right. If I can't figure out how to evolve Vondoon, I might not be able to win, but how can I do that when Yuan couldn't?' Yukin wondered.
"Play defense all you want! I'll just destroy it!" Zeru said as he drew his next card. "Let's start with Shadow Sapphire Serapho! Mephistos, destroy it!" Mephistos was getting ready to attack.
"I play my trap: Life Barricade!" Yukin called as he activated his trap and a barrier formed around his field and blocked out Mephistos' attack. "With this, you can attack all you want! Your attacks will do nothing as I won't take damage or lose any monsters!"
"Is that what you were planning? Is that why you lowered the number of monsters on your field? Not bad, but there is a catch." Zeru said. "During each of your standby phases, you have to give up 400LP per monsters. You won't have the life points to spare. First, Superior Wyrm, attack!" His other monster smashed against Tenrun, but all it did was increase his Zeru's life points to 7150. "Your trap might protect you from battle, but not from this! I play Mephistos Fury! This spell causes you to lose half of your life points!"
"Half?!" Yukin said. He suddenly felt himself get electrocuted and his life points dropped even all the way down to a mere 2000.
"No! Yukin!" Zoey called as this wasn't looking good.
"It won't be long now." Zeru claimed. "You think you can challenge me, but my power is actually limitless. Thanks to the dueling energy I'm constantly absorbing from this duel, my power continues to grow."
"It might seem that way for now, but I'm far from beaten." Yukin said.
"You're putting up quite the effort, but there's really nothing you can do." Zeru claimed. "You have no power compared to that of mine. While you have done well to bring out the power of three of your monsters, you can't bring out the power of Vondoon. Even Yuan couldn't evolve his power, so what can you possibly do."
'There must be something.' Yukin thought as he looked towards Vondoon. 'There must be a way to evolve Vondoon's power. Everyone is counting on me. There's got to be a way.'
"Don't listen to him, Yukin!" Zoey called. "You've been in tough situations before and always pulled out a miracle! I know you can now!"
'That's right!' Yukin thought as he might have realized something important. 'Every time I was in a tough situation, something came to me. A new power was awakened for me to use like my elemental cards, Brave Berato, Heavenwardly Halberin!' "I think I now understand."
"What are you babbling about?" Zeru said.
"That power... It was that dueling energy granting me new power." Yukin said. "I can't explain it, but I believe I have some connection to it."
"You have a connection to it? Yeah right." Zeru said as he didn't believe it.
"I do! You're not the only one who can wield that power now, and I can use it!" Yukin said as he held up his hand and a rainbow light shined from it. Zeru couldn't believe it, but Yukin was telling the truth. With it, a new card and power came to him.
"No way! He can actually use it?!" Zeru said in disbelief. "How is that possible when he's just a part of me?!"
"I believe it's my turn now. I draw!" Yukin said as he drew his next card.
"No matter what power you think you have, it's useless! Life Barricade's effect activates and you now have to give up life points to keep it on the field!" Zeru said. Yukin's own trap turned against him and his life points dropped to 800. "You won't last much longer. You let all of your friends down. You wasted the duel bringing out monsters you can't use."
"I wouldn't be too sure if I were you." Yukin warned. 'I won't let any of them down. Drewsin, Huo, and even Yuan... I can feel their power, and it will help me win this.' He thought as all four of them could still feel their connection. That connection might have been used for evil, but Yukin plans to use it for good. Yukin's unlocked new power and abilities and he'll use it to finish Zeru. "Now let's finish this! I summon Card Lizard to the field!" His lizard returned as it rose back up. "That means I draw two more cards!" He said as he drew two more. "Next, I activate my Monster Trade Away spell! This spell allows me to return one monster to my deck and summon out a different monster as long as it's the same type! So, I'll return Card Lizard to my deck and summon my second Change-o Chameleon to the field!" His lizard was traded away and his chameleon came on the field with 1100atk points.
"Another wasted move." Zeru taunted.
"But my turn isn't over just yet!" Yukin said. "I activate Change-o Chameleon's special ability to change his attribute into light!"
"Light?!" Zeru said as Yukin's chameleon turned yellow.
"With that, I can now call upon the power I was just granted. I now fuse Venom Vondoon with a light attribute monster to reveal his true form!" Yukin said. That was a surprise to all of them as Venom Vondoon began fusing with Change-o Chameleon. "From darkness comes light, a light that shines for what's right! I fusion summon Valiant Vondoon!"
"It can't be!" Zeru said as a great light shined upon the field. The darkness that embraced Vondoon vanished and was turned into light. Vondoon now looked like an angel with white and silver armor clothing with golden wings and hair and skin that glitters. The light shined through the clouds and the others could see it. Yuan could actually feel the power of Vondoon changed into something more.
"This shining new light is gonna conquer your madness once and for all!" Yukin claimed as Valiant Vondoon unleashed some of the power with wind stirring in the area. With this new power, this duel could soon be over.
