Arthur Note: Some Reason, my The Jashinist's Quest for Peace story has been deleted. So if you guys wonder if I have deleted it, I haven't. Sorry for posting this late, being sick, having seizures and on top of that I keep rewriting this chapter. I wanted this chapter to be perfect.
Chapter 3: Dinner Date And Training
"Please don't hesitate to ask me anything that comes to mind. I'm here to help and share my knowledge. What's the first question that pops up in your mind?" Ao warmly invited.
"Will I have the opportunity to learn Mist ninja techniques that complement my weapon, such as Hiding in the Mist and Silent Killing, as a Mist ninja?" Naruto asked eagerly, his eyes shining with excitement.
Chojuro nodded in confirmation, impressed by Naruto's enthusiasm. "Yes, you will have the opportunity to learn those techniques once we return to the Mist Village. Our training program is known for its intensity and effectiveness, so you will need to be ready to work hard."
Naruto grinned, feeling a surge of determination. "I'm ready for anything! I can't wait to see what kind of skills I'll be able to learn as a Mist ninja."
As the conversation shifted to Mei, Naruto's expression softened, and his tone became more gentle. "Do any of you happen to know Mei-Chan's favorite flowers? We have a date soon, and I want to make it special."
Ao, who had been listening carefully, smiled and replied, "Tulips are her favorite flowers. She loves their elegant simplicity and bright colors."
Naruto's eyes lit up with gratitude. "Thanks, Ao. I really appreciate it. I want this date to be perfect."
As he checked his watch, Naruto's excitement mixed with nervousness. "I need to get going. I have to shower and get dressed for the date. I hope everything goes well." He waved goodbye to Chojuro and Ao, feeling a flutter of anticipation in his stomach as he headed off to prepare for his date with Mei.
Naruto had been eagerly awaiting Mei's return all day, so he wanted everything to be perfect for her. He had sent his clones to fetch some flowers while he used the Body Flicker Technique to quickly get home and prepare the house. After a long day, he was eager to take a shower and freshen up before Mei arrived.
As he was brushing his teeth, he heard the sound of the bedroom door opening. His heart skipped a beat as he knew Mei had finally arrived. He quickly finished brushing his teeth and went to greet her.
Emerging from the room in his boxers, Mei noticed his tattoos. The Nine-Tailed Fox was inked on his back, with the words "Will of Fire" above it. On his upper-left arm was a Whirlpool, and on his upper-right arm was a Peregrine Falcon.
Naruto felt a twinge of self-consciousness, but he tried to remain calm and composed. He could feel her eyes on him, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride at the attention he was getting from her.
"I didn't realize you had tattoos," Mei said, her voice betraying a hint of admiration.
Naruto felt a surge of happiness at her words. He had always been self-conscious about his tattoos, but her reaction made him feel confident and proud. He couldn't help but flex his muscles a little, showing off his tattoos even more.
As Mei gazed at Naruto's chiseled physique, she couldn't help but feel a tingle of excitement. "Damn, he has a perfect body," she thought to herself, her cheeks flushing slightly as a small nosebleed trickled down her face.
Naruto noticed the blood and quickly reached for a tissue to stem the flow. "Yep, I got them a while back. I want to get more. Do you have any tattoos, and are you okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
Mei nodded, feeling slightly embarrassed. "Yeah, I have a couple," she said, before rolling up her pants leg to reveal a dragon lily tattoo on her left ankle. She then turned around, showing Naruto the two hummingbirds inked on her right shoulder blade.
Naruto couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Mei's tattoos. He had always been fascinated by body art, and he found her tattoos to be both beautiful and intriguing.
As they stood there, admiring each other's tattoos, Naruto felt a deepening connection between them. He couldn't help but feel drawn to Mei's beauty and her kind heart, and he knew that he wanted to spend more time with her.
Mei, too, felt a growing attraction to Naruto. She admired his strength, his courage, and his determination, and she knew that there was something special about him.
After Mei finished her shower, Naruto got dressed in a black suit with an orange tie, looking sharp and dapper. He waited patiently in the living room for Mei, his heart beating a little faster with anticipation.
Fifteen minutes later, Mei emerged from the bathroom, looking stunning in the dress she had bought for the occasion. Naruto couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as he looked at her, marveling at her beauty.
As she started brushing her teeth, Naruto's clone arrived with the flowers. Naruto took them and thanked the clone, then ordered it to finish getting everything ready at the Hokage's Rock.
Meanwhile, Mei finished getting ready, applying some blue nail polish, blue lipstick, and eyeliner. She looked at herself in the mirror, feeling satisfied with how she looked. "Yep, I am mouth-watering," she thought, feeling a sense of confidence and excitement building inside of her.
As Mei entered the living room, Naruto couldn't help but feel his heart skip a beat. He stood up from the couch and took in the full view of her. She was stunning in her dress, which accentuated her curves and brought out the color of her eyes.
"Wow, I-I'm not sure if I have the words to describe how beautiful you are. You look absolutely stunning, pardon my language. Of course, you're always beautiful. I can't stop looking at your gorgeous green eyes and your beautiful smile," Naruto said, feeling a deep sense of admiration and attraction towards her.
'She's going to kill me with her looks,' Naruto thought to himself, feeling a little tongue-tied.
"Thank you, Naruto-kun. You have beautiful eyes too, and you look quite handsome," Mei replied, blushing slightly at his compliment.
Naruto then handed her a bouquet of tulips and roses. "These are for you, Mei-chan," he said, beaming with happiness.
"Thank you, Naruto. How did you know that tulips are my favorite flowers?" Mei asked, surprised and touched by the gesture.
"Ao told me," Naruto replied with a grin. "Are you ready, Mei-chan?" he asked, offering her his arm.
Mei smiled back at him, her heart beating fast with anticipation. "Yes, I am," she said, her voice conveying her eagerness as she wrapped her arm around his.
As Naruto unlocked the front door, Mei took a deep breath, feeling a surge of excitement coursing through her veins. Once the door was unlocked, Naruto offered her his arm, and she took it, feeling a rush of warmth from his touch.
As they walked down the street, people started to stare at them. Some guys were looking enviously at Naruto, wishing they were in his shoes, while the ladies couldn't help but admire Mei's beauty and grace.
"Wow, she is stunning," a random female whispered to her friend as they walked by.
"He is a lucky son of a bitch," a random guy muttered under his breath.
Naruto caught the guy's remark and chuckled, feeling a sense of pride swelling inside him. "He's right, I am lucky," he thought, glancing over at Mei with a soft smile.
After a few minutes of walking, they finally arrived at the Golden Dragon. Naruto opened the door for Mei, letting her enter first like a true gentleman.
"Thank you, Naruto-kun," Mei said, giving him a grateful smile as she stepped inside.
Naruto followed her, his heart beating fast with anticipation. As they entered the restaurant, they were greeted by a host with bright orange hair, who welcomed them warmly.
"My name is Akeno, and I will be your host for the night," Akeno greeted them with a warm smile. "You must be Mr. Uzumaki and Mrs. Terumi."
Naruto and Mei nodded in agreement, and Akeno led them to a VIP room. "Follow me to your table, please," he said.
As they settled in, Akeno informed them that the owners wanted to speak to them before the waiter arrived. "Okay, thank you. Here is a tip," Naruto said, handing Akeno a generous amount.
"Thank you very much," Akeno replied with a bow before leaving to fetch the owners.
A few minutes passed, and Chōza Akimichi and his wife Emiko Akimichi arrived at the table, greeting Naruto and Mei with warm smiles. "Hello, Naruto. How are you today?" Chōza asked.
"I'm doing great. Did Chouji tell you guys the news about me?" Naruto asked, his grin growing wider.
"Yes, he did. We both wanted to come over and meet the soon-to-be," Emiko said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Naruto beamed with excitement as he introduced Mei to Chouji's parents. "Mei-chan, I would like you to meet Emiko and Chōza Akimichi. Mr. and Mrs. Akimichi, I would like you to meet my fiancée Mei," he said with a proud smile, taking Mei's hand and placing it in Chōza's.
"Nice to meet you," they all said in unison, shaking each other's hands with warmth and friendliness.
Naruto's heart swelled with gratitude as Chōza graciously offered to pay for their meal. "Thank you so much, Mr. and Mrs. Akimichi. We really appreciate it," he said, bowing his head in respect.
As they sat back down, a waiter with purple hair arrived at their table, introducing herself as Seiko. Naruto couldn't help but admire her beauty and poise as she handed them their menus.
"Hello, I would like to have the steak and shrimp meal, chef salads, beef ramen, chocolate strawberry cheesecake, and for a drink, can I get a glass of red wine and sweet tea with lemon? Here is my Shinobi I.D. card for the red wine," Naruto said with a smile, flashing his Shinobi I.D. card.
Seiko nodded, taking note of Naruto's order. "Of course, sir. And what would you like, ma'am?" she asked, turning to Mei with a smile.
Mei perused the menu for a moment, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "I'll have the grilled salmon, green salad, miso soup, and for dessert, the green tea ice cream, for drinks I would like to have white wine and ice tea please," she said with a warm smile as she shows the waitress her Shinobi card.
Seiko jotted down Mei's order, nodding with approval. "Great choices. I'll have that out for you shortly. Is there anything else you need?"
"No, that's all for now. Thank you," Naruto said, smiling gratefully at the young waitress.
The waitress gave them their drinks before she left to give the chief their orders.
"So what are your umm hobbies?" Naruto asked, his eyes sparkling with interest.
"My hobbies are hanging out with friends, cooking, reading, drawing, meditating, and training. What about you?" Mei replied, her voice soft yet confident.
Naruto's eyes widened as he listed out his hobbies. "My hobbies are gardening, reading, writing, cooking, training, making Jutus, spending time with friends, pranking, and meditating." he said with a wide grin.
"Pranking?" Mei asked, her eyebrows raised in surprise.
Naruto's smile grew wider as he leaned forward. "Yep, one time when I was a kid, it took Anbu four and a half hours to catch me. Hell, they still don't know that I was the one who put itching powder in their shampoo." he said, his voice filled with pride.
Mei couldn't help but burst out laughing at Naruto's mischievous antics. "That is funny," she managed to say through her laughter. "Maybe you can show me some of your pranks?" she added, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Naruto's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Oh, I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve. Just wait until you see what I have in store for you!" he exclaimed, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
Mei couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of experiencing Naruto's pranks firsthand. She had a feeling that spending time with Naruto was going to be a lot of fun.
Naruto and Mei continued chatting and enjoying their meal, with Naruto occasionally sneaking glances at Mei and trying to come up with new prank ideas.
"Let's do a prank on Ao and Chojuro sometime." he said with a sly smirk.
Mei chuckled at the idea. "That sounds like a plan." she said with a mischievous gleam in her eye.
Their conversation was interrupted as Seiko, the waitress, brought them their Chef Salads with ranch, as well as the Jalapeño poppers and Mozzarella sticks. Naruto eagerly dug into his salad, savoring the fresh greens and tangy dressing, while Mei took a bite of one of the spicy Jalapeño poppers and savored the heat.
"What is your favorite color?" Mei asked, initiating a new conversation topic.
Naruto's cheeks turned slightly pink as he replied, "My favorite color is Orange, umm what about you?"
"Mine is Sapphire blue, just like your eyes." Mei said, causing Naruto to blush even more deeply.
As Naruto went to take a sip of his sweet tea, he accidentally knocked over his glass of wine, spilling it all over himself.
"Oh no, are you okay?" Mei asked, trying to help him clean up and dry himself off.
Naruto looked crestfallen as he tried to mop up the spilled wine. "Sorry, Mei-Chan. I wanted to give you the best date ever, but instead, I had messed it up." he said with a sad look.
Mei placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "It's okay, Naruto. Accidents happen. Let's just enjoy the rest of our meal and have a good time." she said with a warm smile, reassuring him that everything was alright.
Naruto felt a wave of gratitude towards Mei, grateful for her kindness and understanding.
As they walked through the quiet streets of the village, Naruto couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that their date had been a little awkward. He had spilled food on himself, struggled to ask Mei questions, and had felt nervous and self-conscious throughout the meal. Mei, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying herself, but Naruto couldn't shake the feeling that he had messed up somehow.
But as they approached the Hokage Rock, Naruto's spirits lifted. This was a special place to him, a place where he had found solace and peace in the past. He wanted to share that with Mei, to show her a part of himself that he hadn't shared with anyone else.
"This place right here is exceptional to me." he said with a smile, as they reached the top of the Rock. "I used to come up here every day to get away from life. This place has an astonishing view of the whole village and the sky, as you can tell."
Mei looked around in awe at the breathtaking view. The stars twinkled in the sky, illuminating the whole village below. "The view is beautiful," she said softly, "Thank you for sharing a spot that is special to you with me."
Naruto felt a sense of relief wash over him as he looked at Mei's smiling face. Maybe their date hadn't been perfect, but he had managed to share a part of himself with her, and that was more important than anything else.
As they sat there in silence, gazing out at the view, Naruto felt a sense of peace settle over him. For the first time in a long time, he felt like he had found someone who understood him, someone who he could be himself with. And that was a feeling that he knew he would cherish for a long time to come.
Naruto looked up at the sky, the stars twinkling above them. He turned to Mei with a smile. "Before we head home, would you like to dance under the stars?"
Mei's face lit up. "Yes, that sounds wonderful."
Naruto's clone turned on a radio, filling the air with soft music. Mei leaned in and gave Naruto a kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush.
As they started to dance, Naruto's nerves got the best of him, and he stepped on Mei's feet a few times. But he was determined to get better. He realized he wanted to dance with Mei every night until their wedding, so he could improve.
Mei rested her head on Naruto's chest, and he placed his hands on her wrists. They swayed to the music, lost in their world under the twinkling stars.
Naruto gazed down at Mei, her eyes closed and her lips slightly parted. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have her in his life. He had always dreamed of finding someone to share his life with, and now he had found her.
As they danced, Naruto couldn't help but think about their future together. He imagined their wedding day, with Mei in a stunning white dress walking down the aisle towards him. He imagined their life together, filled with laughter, and adventure.
Mei opened her eyes and looked up at Naruto, a small smile on her lips. "What are you thinking about?"
Naruto grinned. "About you, and our future together."
Mei's smile widened, and she leaned up to give him a tender kiss.
Naruto felt his heart swell with happiness. He knew that he would do anything to make Mei happy, to protect her, and to cherish her for the rest of their lives.
As they continued to dance under the stars, Naruto felt a sense of peace and contentment. He knew that he had found his true soulmate, and that together, they could conquer anything that life threw their way.
The following month flew by for Naruto. His rigorous training sessions with Guy kept him in top shape, and although they were incredibly challenging, Guy helped him refine his taijutsu and bukijutsu skills. In addition, Naruto worked with Kurenai to enhance his genjutsu abilities, as recommended by Ao.
Tsunade took it upon herself to help Naruto improve his medical ninjutsu, providing him with valuable guidance. She also arranged for him to train with Asuma in strategy, tactics, espionage, deception, and stealth, emphasizing the importance of developing these skills.
Anko not only provided Naruto with the snake summon but also trained him in torture, interrogation, pain tolerance, poison tolerance, and seduction techniques.
As time passed, Naruto grew closer to Mei, their bond strengthening each day. Despite Mei's playful teasing when they shared a bed, cuddling and giving Naruto cheek kisses, he found himself enjoying their time together. Mei split her time between the Leaf Village and her duties as the Kage of the Mist Village. When she was away, she would send shadow clones to Naruto, along with pictures and messages, to keep in touch with her fiancé. Naruto made sure to do the same.
Every so often, their clones would bring each other gifts or mementos from their Village, such as rare scrolls or exotic foods. Other times, they would simply spend time with each other, chatting and sharing stories about their lives.
Despite the distance between them, Mei and Naruto's engagement remained strong, and their communication through the clones helped to maintain their connection. It also served as a reminder of the importance of the alliance between their villages and the need to work together for the greater good.
Meanwhile, Sakura tried to be a better friend to Naruto and even visited him and Mei at their home. Although Sasuke struggled to admit he would miss his rival, he tried to be kinder to Naruto, requesting sparring sessions instead of demanding them, and congratulating Naruto and Mei on their upcoming wedding.
The month was one of the happiest Naruto could recall. Team Seven commemorated their bond with matching tattoos above their right wrists, which read "Team Seven Forever" in kanji. The Konoha Twelve did the same, getting matching tattoos above their left wrists that read "Konoha Twelve Forever" in kanji. Naruto also had a tattoo above his belly button, depicting the Eighth Swordsmen of the Mist's kanji.
Naruto was sweating profusely as he trained with Guy, working hard to improve his taijutsu skills. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice calling out to him.
"Hey, Naruto-kun!" Mei said, approaching the training ground with a katana in her hand.
Naruto's eyes widened in surprise when he saw the sword. "Mei-chan! What are you doing here?" he asked, taking a break from his training to catch his breath.
Mei smiled at him, holding out the katana. "Jiraiya-sama finished adding seals to the Fantomusōdo," she said. "I thought you might want to see it."
Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement as he took the katana from Mei. It had been a month since he had last seen the sword, Jiraiya had been adding seals to it to enhance its abilities, and Naruto had been eager to see the finished product.
As he held the katana, Naruto marveled at its sleek design and razor-sharp edge.
"It's just as amazing as I remembered it," Naruto said, a grin spreading across his face.
Mei nodded, pleased to see that Naruto was happy with the sword. "Jiraiya-sama put significant effort into those seals," she said. "He wanted to make sure that the sword was worthy of its reputation."
Naruto nodded, his eyes still fixed on the katana. He knew that he had a lot of work to do if he wanted to master the Fantomusōdo, but he was more than ready for the challenge. With Guy by his side and the legendary sword in his hand, he felt like nothing could stand in his way.
Tenten had been training alongside Naruto and Guy, honing her skills with weapons. But as soon as Mei arrived with the Fantomusōdo, Tenten's attention was completely diverted.
She gazed at the blade with wonder, her eyes shining with excitement. "Oh my gosh, it's the Fantomusōdo," she exclaimed. "It's astonishing. I can't believe I'm really seeing it in person."
Tenten continued to stare at the sword, transfixed by its beauty and power. But her attention was soon diverted by Mei's warning.
"Naruto, we should head out," Mei said, her voice tinged with annoyance. "And Tenten, if you would stop eyeing his 'sword' please, I don't think you want any problems."
Tenten blushed deeply, feeling embarrassed that her fascination with weapons had been so obvious. She nodded and followed the group as they made their way out of the training ground.
As they walked, Naruto couldn't help but notice the tension between Mei and Tenten. "What's going on, Mei-chan?" he asked. "We had plenty of time…"
But before he could finish his sentence, Mei surprised him by grabbing him and kissing him deeply. Naruto's eyes rolled back in his head as he responded eagerly to Mei's embrace.
Tenten watched in surprise as the two of them kissed, feeling a pang of jealousy in her chest. She had always harbored feelings for Naruto, but had never acted on them.
When the kiss finally ended, Naruto looked dazed but happy, while Mei wore a smug expression on her face. Tenten tried to hide her disappointment and jealousy, but she couldn't help feeling a little bit of hurt.
As they continued on their way, Tenten resolved to focus on her training and try to move on from her unrequited feelings for Naruto. She knew that she couldn't let her emotions get in the way of her goals as a ninja.
Mei blushed lightly and looked at Naruto. "Naruto-kun, I have to confess something. I'm a bit of a jealous person, and I couldn't help but notice that girl with the weapon checking you out. It made me feel the need to remind you who you're marrying."
Naruto looked at Mei with a mix of confusion and admiration. "Mei-chan, you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, and you're wonderful in every way. I don't need anyone else when I have you. And that kiss we just shared... It was incredible."
A smile spread across Mei's face. "I'm glad you think so," she said, leaning forward and giving him a seductive smile. "We have a few minutes before we have to meet with Falcon and Cat. Why don't we make the most of them?"
Naruto's heart raced as Mei pulled him closer for another kiss.
As Naruto approached 'Cat' and 'Falcon', he couldn't help but feel self-conscious. He knew he was late, and he knew why. He just hoped they wouldn't make a big deal out of it.
'Cat' smirked under her mask as she noticed the lipstick on Naruto's cheek. "Seems like you had a good time," she teased.
Naruto blushed and quickly wiped it off. "Uh, sorry about that. Can we just get started?"
'Falcon' chuckled. "No need to be embarrassed, Naruto. We won't tell anyone."
As they began their training, 'Cat' instructed Naruto to create nineteen shadow clones. "Ten of those clones will come with me, and the other nine will stay with 'Falcon' and you," she said.
Naruto nodded and performed the technique.
"Alright, listen up," 'Falcon' said, addressing Naruto and his clones. "Today, we're going to work on improving the rasengan. I want you to start by making the rasengan with one hand. Once you've mastered that, I want you to work on making one rasengan in each hand. We'll explore your dad's ideas and see if we can create some new versions of the rasengan."
Naruto and his clones nodded in agreement and began to work on the technique.
"While you're practicing that, I want you to also work on your chakra control," 'Falcon' continued. "I want you to try to make these kunais float in the air, and then I want you to try to control them. Once you've got that down, we'll move on to the next step."
Naruto and his clones took the kunais and focused their chakra. After a few tries, they managed to make the kunais float in the air.
"Now, I want you to take aim at that tree over there," 'Falcon' said, pointing to a tree about ten feet away. "But I don't want you to throw the kunais. I want you to hit the tree without leaving your spot."
Naruto and his clones concentrated hard, trying to control the kunais and guide them towards the tree. After a few attempts, they managed to hit the tree without moving from their spot.
"Great job," 'Falcon' said, impressed. "Keep practicing, and we'll see what other tricks we can teach you."
Falcon handed them thick volumes on the Mist Village's laws and culture. "Your task now is to delve into the intricacies of this village's legal system and traditions," he said, settling under a tree with an Icha Icha book.
Meanwhile, Naruto and the other clones received their assignments from Cat. "I need four of you to focus on developing new methods for creating and improving explosive tags," Cat instructed, distributing materials to the designated clones. "The two of you will research the Mist Village's history and compile a report for us."
Turning to the last group, Cat handed them a scroll. "And finally, I want the remaining five clones to work on crafting Chakra chains using this guide."
"Are you ready to begin training with your sword, Naruto?" Cat asked, looking at him expectantly.
Naruto drew his Fantomusōdo and nodded. "Yeah, let's do this. What's the first step?"
"First, try channeling a small amount of chakra into the blade. I want to see how well it handles the Kyuubi's chakra," Cat instructed. "Then, I want you to use your chakra to show me your control and how long you can sustain it before switching to Kyuubi's chakra."
Naruto focused and began channeling chakra into the blade, trying to use as little as possible. The blade started glowing blue with a red tint, but it shook in his hands.
He stopped, and Cat spoke up, "Well, it seems the sword can handle your chakra just fine. However, we need to improve your chakra control. Fortunately, thanks to your shadow clones, we can accelerate the process."
"Let's have some of your clones work on improving your chakra control, while we focus on training you with your sword," suggested Cat. "That way, we can make the most of our time."
She watched as Naruto summoned a few clones and gave them instructions, before turning back to him. "Alright, let's get started. I'll show you some basic sword techniques, and we'll work on building your skills from there."
Naruto quickly formed a series of hand seals and created a dozen or so shadow clones, which dispersed to begin their assigned tasks. Some focused on honing his chakra control, while others worked on various exercises and drills to improve his physical abilities.
Meanwhile, Cat began teaching Naruto the basics of swordsmanship. She demonstrated several stances and techniques, explaining the principles behind each one, and had him practice them repeatedly until he had them down pat.
As the training continued, Naruto's skills with both his sword and his chakra began to improve, thanks to the combined efforts of his clones and Cat's guidance. By the time their session was over, he felt more confident and capable than ever before.
Naruto staggered into his home, his body battered and weary from an intense training session. Every muscle throbbed with pain, and his clothes clung to his skin, soaked with perspiration. Collapsing onto his bed with a heavy thud, he felt as though he could barely muster the strength to move. Yet, upon hearing the melodious sound of Mei's voice, a playful grin flickered across his face.
"Rough day, huh, Naruto-kun?" she teased, her silhouette framed by the doorway.
With a deep, guttural groan, Naruto closed his eyes in exhaustion. "You have no idea," he murmured, his voice a mere whisper. "I haven't trained this hard in years."
Mei chuckled softly, her gaze surveying the cluttered room, strewn with clothes and scrolls. "It certainly looks that way," she observed, a hint of amusement in her melodic voice.
Naruto's lips curved into a weak smile, his chest heaving as he caught his breath. "I summoned at least three hundred clones today," he said, his voice tinged with pride. "It's the only way I can keep up with my rigorous training."
Mei's eyes widened in astonishment. "Three hundred?!" she marveled, clearly impressed. "You must have the most colossal chakra reserves in existence!"
Naruto's grin grew lopsided, his voice carrying a note of pride. "Well, I am an Uzumaki and a Namikaze," he said. "And having the Kyuubi's chakra within me certainly doesn't hurt."
Mei shook her head in disbelief, admiration shining in her eyes. "You never cease to amaze me, Naruto," she said. "You work tirelessly, even when it isn't necessary."
Mei's expression softened, concern etched in her features. "You push yourself to the limit, Naruto," she said gently. "But don't forget to care for yourself as well."
Naruto's eyes darkened, his gaze unwavering. "I have to," he replied resolutely. "I must protect everyone precious to me, including you. I cannot let my parents down. They died believing I would bring peace to the world, and that's precisely what I intend to do."
Mei's heart swelled with emotion, touched by the weight of his parents' legacy and his relentless determination to fulfill their aspirations. "I believe in you, Naruto," she whispered, her voice laced with love. "And I'm proud to stand with you as you pursue your dream."
Naruto's eyes softened as they met hers, and he reached out to clasp her hand. "I'm grateful you're here with me, Mei," he murmured, his voice rich with gratitude. "You hold a special place in my heart, and I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe."
A warm flush tinged Mei's cheeks as she locked eyes with him. She leaned in, her lips brushing against his in a tender, passionate kiss. Entwined in each other's embrace, they soon drifted off to sleep, their bodies entangled and their hearts beating as one, recharging for the challenges that awaited them.
Tsunade's hands trembled as she read through the scroll, her heart heavy with disbelief and sorrow. The Uchiha massacre, a tragedy that had haunted the village for years, was not what it seemed. It was merely a cover-up, a story concocted to hide the truth about the Uchiha clan's rebellion against the village.
But the truth was even more gruesome, more heart-wrenching, than anyone could have imagined. The Uchiha children and civilians, innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire, were not meant to be part of the massacre. Itachi, the one who had carried out the slaughter, had wanted to spare them. But someone had interfered, someone who was ruthless enough to kill them all.
Tsunade felt a sickening wave of nausea wash over her as she thought about the sheer brutality of the act. How could anyone be so heartless, so callous as to kill innocent children? And what about Itachi, the one who had carried out the massacre? He had left the village, hoping to be killed by his brother someday. The guilt and shame must have been too much for him to bear.
Tsunade closed her eyes for a moment, trying to steady her breathing. The life of a ninja was never easy, but moments like these made it almost unbearable. She took a deep breath and returned the scroll to its rightful place in the Hokage library, next to Naruto's new scrolls.
As she walked out of the vault, Tsunade felt a heavyweight pressing down on her chest. She couldn't imagine the pain and suffering that Itachi must have gone through, carrying the weight of his clan's betrayal and his own actions. And what of Sasuke, the brother who had been left behind? The burden of his brother's legacy must have been almost too much to bear.
Tsunade shook her head sadly, feeling a profound sense of loss and sadness. The village had suffered so much, and the scars of the past were still fresh. But she knew that they had to keep moving forward, even in the face of such darkness and despair. It was the only way to honor the sacrifices of those who had come before, and to build a brighter future for the generations to come.
Naruto woke up to the soft rays of sunlight streaming through the window and the sight of Mei sleeping peacefully by his side. He felt a warmth in his chest at the sight of her, the kind of warmth that made him feel grateful for each day he spent with her. With a gentle touch, he planted a feather-light kiss on her neck, watching as she stirred awake.
"Morning Naruto-kun," Mei whispered, her voice still thick with sleep.
Naruto's smile widened at the sound of her voice, "Good morning, Mei-chan. How did you sleep?"
"I slept well, thank you," Mei replied, stretching her arms above her head. "I've been thinking about my bridesmaids. Do you have any thoughts about your groomsmen?"
Naruto's face fell slightly at the mention of the wedding planning. It was a happy occasion, no doubt, but the stress of the preparations weighed heavily on him. "Not really," he admitted. "I was thinking of asking Sasuke to be my best man, but I doubt he'll accept. Maybe Shikamaru, Kiba, and Neji."
Mei nodded, understanding the weight of the decision. "Don't forget, you have to choose four from the Leaf and four from the Mist. We can decide on the Mist ones when we get there. We still have a month until the wedding."
"Right," Naruto said, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "Who are you planning on asking from the Leaf?"
Mei lay in bed, her thoughts swirling with excitement and anticipation. She hesitated for a moment before sharing her plans with Naruto. "I was thinking of asking Ino, Tenten, Hinata, and Sakura to be my bridesmaids. They've always been such supportive friends to me. I've also asked Shizune and one of my friends from the Mist to take care of the flowers. That way, our wedding will be a beautiful blend of Mist and Leaf village traditions."
Naruto's eyes softened, and a warm smile spread across his face. "Those are great choices, Mei. I'm sure they'll be honored to be a part of our big day."
Mei's cheeks flushed with happiness. "I hope so. I can't wait to start planning everything. It's going to be the most amazing day of our lives."
Naruto, feeling inspired, chimed in with his ideas. "I was thinking of having Rock Lee hold the rings, and maybe Shino and his family could have their bugs hidden all around to keep a lookout for any potential threats." He grinned at the thought.
Mei nodded in approval. "That's a clever idea. And I was thinking of having Chouji and his family, as well as Ayame and her parents, oversee the food from the Leaf side. I have two friends from the Mist who can create incredible dishes that represent our village. That way, our wedding feast will showcase both villages' culinary styles. As for walking me down the aisle, I want Ao and Jiraiya by my side, so both our father figures can be a part of our special moment. And I'd love for Tsunade to be the one to marry us. Iruka and one of my friends will handle the drinks, ensuring we have a diverse selection from both villages."
Naruto beamed with pride. "That sounds perfect, Mei." He then got up from the bed, stretching his arms. "I'm going to grab a shower and track down Sasuke, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Neji before training starts. See you in a bit."
"Alright, see you soon," Mei murmured, rolling over and drifting back to sleep.
After a quick shower and getting dressed, Naruto pressed a tender kiss on Mei's forehead and tucked her in with a soft blanket.
Sasuke was in the middle of an intense training session when Naruto approached him. "Hey, Sasuke, can I talk to you for a minute?"
Sasuke, slightly exhausted, replied, "I guess. What's up?"
Naruto's voice was sincere and devoid of any hint of competition. "Well, I wanted to ask if you'd be willing to be my best man at the wedding?"
Sasuke hesitated. In the past, he would have refused outright, but he realized how important it was not to lose the bond he had with his only real friend. "Sure, why not?"
Naruto's face lit up with surprise and gratitude. "Wow…thank you, Sasuke. This means so much to me."
Sasuke smirked, trying to maintain his usual cool demeanor. "Alright, just don't get all mushy on me."
Meanwhile, a group of five ninjas from the Hidden Sound village observed the interaction from a distance. They exchanged glances, sensing that things were about to get much more complicated.
Sasuke started discreetly signing to Naruto, pale features taut with tension. ~Do you see them? There are five of them, four of them were part of the attack at the exams. ~ His onyx eyes narrowed dangerously as he surveyed the forest clearing, hands moving swiftly yet stealthily.
Naruto forced an easygoing smile, hoping to mask the undercurrent of anxiety. "Maybe later, I will be training soon. I was also thinking you, Kakashi, Sakura and Anko can come over for dinner. I had invited them over already."
Naruto signed back urgently, cerulean eyes flickering anxiously at the lurking enemies. ~I had sent a clone to get Kakashi and others, they are not too far away.~
"Sounds like a plan." Sasuke replied evenly through gritted teeth, clenching his fists tightly as his cursed seal pulsed agitated, sensing impending danger.
Naruto did some quick covert sign language to two of the five Sound members, praying the other three members and Sasuke didn't catch it. ~I have reinforcements coming, you two need to leave immediately. Take the others with you or leave them, I don't care. Just go, quickly! I don't want your covers blown. Make sure you throw them off your trail, do not engage them. ~ He breathed a quiet sigh of relief as Kimimaro and Tayuya nodded imperceptibly before slinking away stealthily.
"We need to get going, we are going to run into difficulties." Kimimaro and Tayuya announced abruptly before departing hastily with the others.
Kakashi, Asuma, Guy and Anko arrived swiftly, sensing the ominous danger looming. Anko grinned ferally, cracking her knuckles in eager anticipation of a fierce fight. Kakashi surveyed the vicinity with a probing gaze, mind racing to analyze the situation.
"You just missed them. I have to go, see you soon Sasuke, Anko, Kakashi-Sensei." Naruto said worriedly before rushing off to find Shikamaru, Kiba and Neji for backup.
Kakashi promptly summoned his ninken, sharp voice ringing out urgently, "Track the intruders immediately. There are five of them currently, but there may be more."
Anko summoned her snakes with a smirk, relishing the thought of cornering the foolish intruders who dared to infiltrate their village. "Do the same as Kakashi's summons. They can't have gone far."
Sasuke continued training, a frown marring his pale features as he wondered anxiously why they were spying on him and Naruto. His cursed seal pulsed irritably, as though sensing unseen perils ahead.
'Could it be because of this cursed seal, or are they after Naruto?' Sasuke thought worriedly. 'What do they want with us?'
Naruto rushed to the Nara residence, mind racing with the implications of enemy Shinobi infiltrating the village. He spotted Yoshino Nara tending to the plants and approached her urgently.
"Hi Mrs Nara, is Shikamaru home? I need to speak with him."
"Hello Naruto, he just went inside to get something for me. Go ahead and speak with him." Yoshino replied kindly.
Shikamaru emerged, blinking in surprise at Naruto's abrupt arrival. "Here you go, Mum. Hey Naruto, what's up?"
"I don't have time to explain everything now but I need to ask you something important." Naruto said anxiously. "Will you be one of my groomsmen?"
Before Shikamaru could protest, Yoshino interjected sharply. "Of course he will, it's not troublesome at all. Isn't that right, Shikamaru?"
Shikamaru winced at his mother's tone, knowing he had no choice. "Yes Mum, I will be honored to be a groomsman." He replied dutifully.
Naruto sighed in relief. "Thanks Shikamaru, I have to go. Need to find Neji and Kiba immediately." He rushed off anxiously, mind still worrying over the enemy Shinobi in their midst.
En route to the Hyuga estate, Naruto spotted Kiba and Neji departing the Hokage's residence. He approached them swiftly.
"Neji, Kiba, I need to speak with you urgently. Will you be my groomsmen?" Naruto asked anxiously.
Kiba grinned excitedly at the thought. "Hell yeah! Think of all the girls I can charm as a groomsman!"
Neji scoffed derisively at Kiba's delusions. "You stand a better chance of transforming into an actual dog." He knocked Kiba out swiftly with a chop before turning to Naruto.
"It would be my honor to stand with you as a groomsman, Naruto-sama." Neji said with a bow.
"No need for formalities, just call me Naruto." Naruto replied anxiously. "I have to go, I'll be late for training with Gai-sensei." He rushed off, mind still filled with worry over the enemy infiltrating Konoha.
Danzo sat in his chair, his eyes fixed on the two Root members standing before him. The room was dimly lit, the walls made of rough stone. The only sound was the soft crackle of the fire in the hearth and the occasional hiss of Danzo's pipe as he took a drag.
"You know what your mission is," he said, his voice low and menacing. "Do not fail me, or you will face severe punishment."
The two Shinobi bowed in unison, their faces obscured by the masks they wore. Danzo studied them for a moment, trying to gauge their level of commitment. He knew that Root members were trained to be loyal to the point of fanaticism, but he also knew that they were not infallible.
"White Dragon, White Tiger," he said, tossing them a scroll. "One more thing. Find me this."
The Shinobi caught the scroll and bowed again. "Yes, Lord," they said before turning to leave.
Danzo watched them go, his mind already turning to his next move. He knew that the Leaf Village was in a precarious position, and he was determined to make the most of it.
He thought about the scroll he had given White Dragon and White Tiger. It contained information about a powerful item that he and Orochimaru had been trying to acquire for years. If he could get his hands on it, he would have a significant advantage over his enemies.
As he took another puff of his pipe, Danzo contemplated the risks of his plan. He knew that it would require sacrifice and that many innocent lives would be lost. But he also knew that he was doing what needed to be done to protect the Leaf Village.
He looked around the room, taking in the details of his surroundings. The walls were lined with shelves containing scrolls, weapons, and various other tools of the trade. A map of the Leaf Village hung on one wall, marked with red pins indicating his targets.
Danzo felt a sense of satisfaction as he surveyed his kingdom. He knew that he was one of the most powerful men in the village, and he relished the feeling of control. He knew that his plans were ambitious, but he was willing to take the risks. After all, that was what being a leader was all about.
Tsunade found a scroll that she had been reading. It has something to do with Naruto and one other person.
"Get me Inoichi, then when he gets here, I want you all to stay out of the room while we talk." Tsunade ordered before all her Anbu that were hidden in the office had left to get him.
One of the three Anbu went to See if Inoichi was at home, while the other two went to The Yamanaka Flower Shop and to the Torture and Interrogation office to see if he was there.
The Anbu that went to The Yamanaka Flower Shop had found Inoichi watering his shop's flowers.
"Lady Tsunade wants to see you, and she wants you in her office now." 'Wolf' said as he pet Inochi's pet cat.
"Thank you Anbu-san. I will head over." Inoichi said before 'Wolf' had body flicker away.
"Kokoro, I need you to take over my shift. The Hokage would like to see me." Inoichi said he put the water jug down.
"Okay Hun." Kokoro said as she entered the room.
Inoichi had given his wife a kiss on the cheek when he had left. Meanwhile, Naruto had arrived at the training field to begin his training for the day with Cat and Falcon.
After a few minutes, Inoichi had arrived, he noticed that the Anbu had left once he had arrived.
" You wanted to see me, Hokage." Inoichi asked as he entered the room.
"Yes, we have something to talk about that is important. I have some questions that need to be answered, and some other things. Please take a seat." Tsunade said with a look that tells Inoichi he better not lie and better answer everything truthfully.
Inoichi took a seat and tried not to squirm under Tsunade's intense scrutiny. He had worked with her long enough to know that she had a no-nonsense approach to things, and that she expected complete honesty from him.
Inoichi feeling a knot of anxiety tighten in his stomach. He had a feeling he wasn't going to like where this conversation was going.
Tsunade handed him a scroll, and Inoichi's eyes widened as he read it. "Where did you find this?" he asked, his voice betraying his shock. "Nobody was supposed to know about this."
"The Third kept files on everything," Tsunade said, her voice tinged regretfully. "He was always prepared for any eventuality."
Tsunade poured herself another cup of sake and took a sip, her face grim as she continued . "We need to reveal the truth to the people involved," she said. "If we don't, Danzo might use it against them and cause a war with the Mist. We can't afford to risk our alliances or bring danger to them."
