[Short Story Inspiration]

Man, I've read a few fanfictions from the past, and BOY, THOSE ARE INSANE! I realize that male characters get obliterated without mercy. I'm taking about Shining Armor, Flash Sentry, and Prince Blueblood, ESPECIALLY Prince Blueblood! MY GOSH!!! is like if people have a hate boner for male characters in MLP. Is it because they are DICKS!?

.

.

.

Huh...? I never really thought of it that way...? In the end, the only dick this world needs... is "yours".

[Chapter 3: Slight Metagaming]

In the throne room of the castle, Princess Celestia was awaiting the arrival of Galaxy and Twilight. The silence was ironically deafening. So much so, that she tap the ground every now and again to make sure she could still listen. It never stops being nerve wrecking the arrival of those two.

Celestia: (What is taking them so long? There are no guards on their way here.)

Abruptly, the door slammed open, echoing a loud *BANG* on the empty room. The one who opened it was not their visitors, but a purple dragon showing immense determination. He walked inside, bow down, then lift his head with the most serious look he ever had.

Spike: Princess Celestia! is Twilight really coming here? I need to speak with her!

Celestia: Spike, please... don't get-

Spike: I will NEVER forgive Galaxy for what he did to my friends! You can't expect me to sit around and let myself be forgotten!

Celestia: Spike, listen to me! I promise you won't be forgotten. Luna and I will never forget you! So please, quell your anger before-

Spike: Before what? Before Galaxy hears me? COME ON! you know he can't do that! Besides, I know you have about a month's worth of time remaining before you become like Twilight and the girls! So I know you don't intend to keep that promise!

Celestia: ...

Spike: If that MONSTER didn't came, then probably... no... I know, Discord and Thorax would still be alive!

Such heavy words are coming out of the baby dragon's mouth, yet is all true. Discord: The Lord of Chaos, and Thorax: King of The Changelings, have both perish at the hooves of Galaxy Spiral. And Spike became invisible to not only the Elements Bearers, but oddly enough by Galaxy himself.

It can be said that these actions were for the purpose of remaining in the spotlight. Discord's connection to Fluttershy hints more than just a simple friendship, while changelings are a dangerous species whose redemption might overshadow the importance of Galaxy. Spike is close to Twilight, so in order to have him out of the picture without hurting Twilight feelings, he needed to be unacknowledged.

With that, and Galaxy's innate ability to manipulate the time and seasons, events in which Spike was important no longer exist in Equestria.

Spike: I'm mad, furious even! I must wake up Twilight from that stupid trance!

Celestia: LISTEN TO ME!!!

Spike: !!!

The alicorn princess couldn't take it anymore. Instead of her usual taping, she stomped so hard, it practically cracked the floor. After this display of frustration, she began to tremble, then cried due to her inability to protect what matters.

Celestia: There's so much I want to tell you... So MUCH! And still... I can't. I feel as if I'm drowning in a body of water. No pony can hear me or help me, all I can do is swim to the surface so that I can gasp for air. And once I finally get to breathe, something grabs me, dragging me back to the bottom!

Spike: Celestia... I...

Celestia: Please... just know that you are not the only one suffering. You are not alone, and I intend to keep it that way until the end of the world.

Twilight: Princess Celestia?

The timing could not have been more impeccably unfortunate. By the door stood the Princess of Friendship, and the Prince of [???] Twilight Sparkle, and Galaxy Spiral. Both of them are showing concern over Celestia's outburst, so they walked inside to help her out.

As they were getting closer, they were about to bump into Spike. But instead of doing that, they phase through him like a ghost. The little dragon couldn't bring himself to say a word, he knows they won't listen. Spike march away defeated, not by the visitors, but by his own lack of importance.

Celestia: (I'm sorry Spike, but we all got a pain that we have to hold, even if it burns our hearts and souls.)

Galaxy: ...

Once they were near Celestia, Twilight gave a proper bow to her highness. However, Galaxy remain firm and unwavering. Come to think of it, he has not once bow down to Celestia in any way or form. He either has too much pride, or he wants to act casually.

Twilight: Princess Celestia, why are you crying? Did something bad happen?

Celestia: (Yes, he's standing next to you.) No, Is just job stress... I'm fine now...

Twilight: You shouldn't undermine the difficulty of your job as ruler of Equestria. Then again, I can hardly grasp the struggles that come with such a job.

Celestia: (You have no idea...) Is not hard, just time consuming. Although, I have been-

Galaxy: Tia, can I say something?

"There goes Galaxy with that nickname again." Celestia thought with everlasting confusion. Till this day she still doesn't know where he got that name, or where does it belong to. Is probably an enigma from a different timeline. Despite that, she let Galaxy speak up. However, there're some issues with letting him do so...

Galaxy: Where is Lulu? Is she on the northern tower room?

He asks questions he already knows.

Celestia: I don't know? I think she's sleeping in her room.

Galaxy: Who's the pegasus filly in the northern tower?

Celestia: (The filly's with her!!!) I have no idea what you are talking about? But if you want to meet my sister, you're always welcome to visit her room.

The way the two of them talk to each other was as if they were trying to get something out of the other. Celestia tried for her words to sound oblivious, but she accidentally sounded passive aggressive. Galaxy on the other hoof is a master when it comes to not displaying unnecessary emotions. This lead Twilight into trusting Galaxy's intuition, despite him asking about stuff he isn't suppose to know.

Twilight: I'm Sorry Celestia, but I have to go with Galaxy on this one. There's never been a time where he was ever wrong, so I have no reason to doubt him. You're hiding something aren't you?

Celestia: (I don't even know why I even tried to hide it!? What's even the point in trying to counter the unnecessary questions of an omniscient being? I'm sure Galaxy is satisfied with proving me wrong...)

Galaxy: (DAMN IT ALL!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!? Why is Celestia so hard to talk in this version of Equestria!? Before, she treated me like how mother would treat her child, "Ara-Ara's" INCLUDED! And now she's more DISTANT!!! Worst of all, I CAN'T READ HER MIND, NOR LUNA'S!!! FUCK!!!)

Celestia/Galaxy: (However, do you really think I don't know what you're planning?)

Twilight: Celestia...? Galaxy...?

Unable to go any further with this topic, Galaxy opted to change it with an action that cannot be ignored. The male alicorn got close to Twilight, embracing her with undeniable passion. He lifted her head so that their eyes could meet, and intensely kissed her right on the lips.

Celestia was perplexed and angered by what they were doing in front of her. It's annoying to see the stallion who will destroy the world out of boredom, and her fateful student displaying their love for each other. But Celestia could not do anything, so she stood there, drowning in that metaphorical body of water.

Twilight: G-Galaxy! Warn me next time you do something like that! It's soo embarrassing!

Galaxy: HA-HA-HA! Sorry, my lovely Sparkle. I'll be more gentle next time.

Twilight: Oh Galaxy! you can be as rough on me as you want!

Celestia: *EHEM* Sorry "love birds", but if you want to get a room, we got plenty of those in the castle. (Northern tower not included.)

Galaxy: There's no need Tia. I'm just using this kiss to segue into the reason we came to visit you.

Celestia: And what may that be? (So far, I don't like where this is going.)

Before Galaxy addressed the motive of his arrival, he gave Celestia the most purest, loveliest, warmest smile in the entire universe. Not even God himself could get to the level of sweetness displayed by that gesture. However, The Princesses of the Sun was slightly scared of his face, because she knows that smile, although beautiful, it's a sign of drastic change.

To think that a face without a stench of dread, brought such polarizing emotions.

[1 hour later]

On the hallway near the door of the throne room, Spike sit against the wall, waiting for the visitors to leave. He wants to see Twilight one last time. Now that he lost all hope, there's no point in seeing her anymore when she goes back to Ponyville.

Spike: I'm so sorry Twilight... I failed you so hard... This STINKS!

After a short moment of silence, Spike heard hoof steps approaching. At first he thought they were guards, but it was instead Princess Luna and Lapistoria. What were they even doing here if Galaxy hasn't even depart? That question didn't even cross the little dragon's head. The loneliness of this hallway makes him yearn for a conversation.

Spike: Hey Luna! How's is going!

Luna: Spike...? Huh, let me guess. You tried to call out Twilight Sparkle's attention?

Spike: Yeah... but I gave up quickly. I think this is the last time I'm ever gonna try...

Luna: That's awful...

While the princess and dragon took a moment to lament the fact that he's giving up, the young Lapistoria walked over to Spike. Her face was very close to the little dragon, which caught the latter of guard. He fall on his back, naturally weirded out.

Lapistoria: Woah! sorry for ruining the moment. I just never seen a dragon before. Let alone a baby one.

Spike: D-Dragon!? (Weird, before I was invisible, it was a running gag for ponies that didn't knew me to call me a "lizard". Even Galaxy thought I was a lizard!) Hey, just who are you? How are you even seeing me?

Luna: Try guessing, why would this little filly be following me?

Spike: Uhhhhh...? Hmmmmm...? *GASP*

Spike became staggered at the answer his mind gave him. Looking back an forward to Luna and Lapistoria, he gave his answer with an insane dramatization.

Spike: No way... is she... YOUR LOST DAUGHTER!!!

Luna: SPIKE!!!

Spike: Nah! I'm just joking with you! But seriously, why the heck did you brought her here? Galaxy hasn't left yet you know!

Lapistoria: What a coinkidinky! we came here to see this "Galaxy" fellow!

Spike: YOU WHAT!?

Speak of the devil, the doors of the throne room open up. Spike couldn't hide how stressed he was, but Luna's calm facade gave the dragon a small hint of assurance.

Coming out to the halls were the three royals. Twilight had a blush filed face, Celestia a smile of false happiness, and Galaxy a face of ultimate satisfaction. The three of them stop to acknowledge Luna and Lapistoria, making Celestia's heart drop at the mere sight of their presence.

Galaxy: Well would you look at that. You save me the trouble of seeing you. I was just about to visit the northern tower.

Luna: (It was obvious, you could say "I" was the one who saved myself the trouble. Why bother hiding when you knew where we were.)

Galaxy: And may I ask who's the filly? Then again, don't bother, I'm going to guess.

Lapistoria: ???

The alicorn prince was about to read the mind of Lapistoria. However, delving into her mind yielded no results, nothing can be seen inside her mind. Galaxy was left with a blank expression on his face. Not wanting to let ponies know of his confusion, he acted as if he was still rummaging her memories.

Still, even though he can't read the filly's mind, he knows this is different from Celestia and Luna. When Galaxy tries reading the minds of the princesses, it's like television static. But when it comes to Lapistoria, it's absolute nothingness. This left him thinking for a while, probably a bit more than a "while".

Lapistoria: The name's Lapistoria, shame you couldn't guess it. If you could read minds it would have been really, REALLY cool!

Galaxy: *Tsk*

Celestia/Luna: !!!

Spike: AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

For the first time since he got into this world, Galaxy shows annoyance. He didn't show it for long, as he immediately changed his composure. But in that short moment where they saw it, Celestia and Luna felt their hearts stop at the thought of the world ending due to the naive answer of an oblivious filly.

Twilight: Let's go Galaxy, we don't want to keep the other girls waiting.

Galaxy: Yes... I guess you're right...

Twilight: We'll be talking our leave now. Until next time, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna.

And so, the arrival of Galaxy is coming to an end. As he was crossing paths with Spike and Luna, he stopped briefly next to Lapistoria. He lowered his head to be at her level, and whisper to her ear...

Galaxy: ~You made me look bad. If I were you, I'd jump off a cliff and fucking die.~

Lapistoria: Huh!?

Without showing any sort of bother, Galaxy and Twilight make their way home. Once they were out of sight, the two sisters could finally take a breath. It was stressful, but it wasn't bad, not at all.

Spike: THAT WAS AWESOME! Yo Lapis! do you even know what danger is!?

Celestia: Let's not get ahead of ourselves, that's the least of our concerns. Let's go back inside to discuss the main issue.

Some time has passed since Galaxy's departure, which Celestia took advantage of by speaking about the reason he was here. To say they were here for a good reason, is to segue into explaining why it was bad. And it was bad alright, terrible even. The reason why they visit was to announce that the two of them wanted to arrange a wedding in Canterlot. When Celestia brought the news, Spike and Luna began going through the stages of grief.

Spike: No... NO...! NOOOOOOO!!! TWILIGHT!!!

Luna: Oh how lucky for them! I never expected that the two of them would-

Celestia: Luna, speak freely...

Luna: -DO SOMETHING AS ATROCIOUS AS MARRIAGE!!!

Celestia: Always remember, when Galaxy leaves Canterlot, his focus is 100% on Ponyville. He's not looking at us for now.

Galaxy's omniscient powers only work in correlation to a scenario he's about to encounter. It's primary use is to be prepare for unpredictable things he's bound to walk into. Hence why his power is "Semi-Omniscient".

Luna: When is the wedding?

Celestia: In 29 Real Days.

Lapistoria: "Real Days?"

Celestia: Yes, it's hard to explain what's the difference between Real and Normal days. But you'll see it immediately in the morning.

Lapistoria: Really? That sounds EXCITING!

Luna: For my sister and I is actually awful. 29 Real Days is also the amount of time we have before we lose self consciousness. Does that mean Galaxy Spiral already knows the reason why we're not infatuated with him?

Celestia: No, if he did, the spell that keeps our minds safe would have broke in the exact moment he became aware. Let's just keep playing along, pretend you know nothing.

Luna: We can do that, but it won't help us avoid the inevitable...

The wedding is already causing more issues outside of it's main purpose. How will they solve an issue where they won't be conscious to face it? They began to think away, with none of them coming with a solution. It only took them a while before the two alicorns and dragon acknowledge the presence of the pegasus filly among them. Knowing this gave them a short burst of euphoria.

Celestia/Luna/Spike: LAPISTORIA!!!

Lapistoria: Huh!? wha!? YES!?

Celestia: My goodness, I can't believe we forgot about you! Now tell me, do you want to know why you are here?

Lapistoria: Princess Luna already told me "how". She pulled my body from the real world to the dream realm, and then to Canterlot. So I guess it would be nice if I now know the reason "why" I'm here.

Celestia: Very well... now where do I begin?

It was already night, and by this time, Celestia brought Lapistoria up to speed with the events that transpired three months ago. The little filly had trouble trying to make sense out of Galaxy's bizarre motives. Is just stupid to believe that he is doing everything for the sake of satisfaction.

Lapistoria: Yeah... no, I don't think I can help you with that...

Luna: Lapistoria, we called you here because we know you have the potential to stop him from resetting the world.

Lapistoria: I know, but isn't it awkward that the three of you know something about me that I don't? What is this "potential" thingy you see in me?

Celestia: Unfortunately, we can't tell you. This is something you must find out on your own.

Lapistoria: That's a very patient tone for somepony who has a month of consciousness. Does that means I get to take my time figuring this out?

Celestia: Yes, and what better way to figure it out than to live with us in the castle for the time being.

The young Lapistoria was surprised, she wasn't expecting to stay. At the very least she was expecting to go home by the end of the day. Although it was exhilarating to be with Celestia, Luna, and Spike, there's the issue of being far away from home. Not being home isn't a problem, but for her parents to not know why is an issue.

After bringing this topic to Celestia, the princess herself reassure her that her parents will know in due time. And with that, they ended their discussion on today's conflicts, and the objectives they'll achieve in the future.

Celestia: Alright, Spike, can you escort Lapistoria to her room. I'm sure you know where it is right?

Spike: Yep! Let's go Lapis... I can call you Lapis right? It sounds pretty fitting if you ask me.

Lapistoria: Of course! That already shows we are gonna be good friends!

Spike: Friends!? Sure!!! I'll love to be your friend!

With their friendship now being solidify, the filly and dragon were about to make their way back. But before crossing the door, Lapistoria remember something. She turned around to briefly talk to Celestia.

Lapistoria: Princess Celestia, I have a request to ask of you.

Celestia: Oh? and what may that be?

Unexpectedly, to the surprise of the two sisters and dragon, Lapistoria gave a proper bow to the Princesses of the Sun. She then spoke of this request, which was the same thing she asked of Luna and Spike.

Lapistoria: What I want, is to be friends with you too.

Celestia: I- W-Woah! I mean... that's...

Luna: *Giggle* My sister would be delighted to be friends with you. There's no doubt about it.

Lapistoria: REALLY! THANK YOU PRINCESS CELESTIA!!!

And so, after saying their goodnight's, Lapistoria headed out with Spike. The two sisters remain in the throne room, staying silent expecting the other to speak. Eventually they did manage to brake the silence of this lonely room.

Celestia/Luna: Don't you find it ironic...? Huh? You can speak first if you want! Ahahahahahahahahahaha!

Celestia: Alright, I'll speak. Yes... is quite ironic that Galaxy and Lapistoria have severely opposite personalities.

Luna: She's more outgoing, with proper manners despite her childish nature. And Galaxy Spiral thinks highly of himself on the inside, while on the outside he acts modest.

Celestia: He wasn't trying to be modest today, he was being a bit "pushy". I think boredom is catching up to him. Maybe this wedding is a way for him to end it off with a bang.

Luna: So the end of the world is in 29 days?

Celestia: Yes, I'm positive, which means that this month is going to be the most dangerous one of all.

The two princesses were starting to feel ready for anything. Whatever happens the next day will be no issue. All they have to do is play with the cards that this cursed fate has dealt them, and so far is starting to look like a "Full House".

Luna: Isn't it funny that I was the one who pushed you into becoming friends with Lapistoria? Such a scenario would have been more likely to happen the other way around.

Celestia: You know...

"I was just thinking the same thing..."

[End of the 1st day: 28 days remaining]

[End of Chapter 3]
