Chapter 5: Super Solar Nutrient

A few minutes later after leaving the area, we arrived at the same taco area we had lunch. Me and my girlfriend only wanted a drink while Stephanie get a couple of spicy shrimp tacos for her meal with a soda as well.
Maria then replied, "That was a strange duel. That was one of the oddest decks I've ever seen in a duel."
Stephanie took a bite of her taco and she nodded and resumed, "It was one of the oddest of the decks I've faced in a while as well. My army finished it off. Man, these tacos have the right amount of heat in then."
She finished one of then and then I looked at her and resumed, "What made you decide on a Regular Warrior Toolbox-like deck?"
She took a sip of her Mexican orange soda and resumed, "You'll be intrested in this story. This deck actually belonged to my best friend Corbin Mitchell. You heard about that American base that got bombed in the middle east a few years ago?"
We both nodded and she sighed sadly replied, "4 American soldiers and 2 Middle Eastern soldiers were killed that day lost their lives that day and he and his closest friend Jack Wilson were the first to be found deceased in the bombing area."
I looked at her and replied, "Sorry for your loss, Stephanie. Sounds like he was a amazing soldier for our army."
"Thanks for saying so. Before he was shipped overseas, He told me to watch over his deck and make sure it stays being used and she would use it when he got home. After me and his family found he was killed action, his family allowed me to keep the deck and make minor changes too it as long as it stayed a true Warrior deck and to this day it still is. I promised to keep it mostly a Warrior deck and I've make only a few changes to it and I kept it the day it is."
I nodded and resumed, "Good reason to use in a big way, girl. You used it perfectly in a way and It was a fun duel to watch as well and your are a really strong duelist and won't have any trouble using it."
She smiled and then Maria looked at her phone and she replied, "We have to get going, babe."
She nodded and then Stephanie nodded and grabbed her duel disk and she replied, "I want to ask you both something. Do any of you have plans tomorrow?"
Maria then replied, "It's my day off and we wanted a day at home. Why?"
She resumed, "I'm asking you both this. My cousin Bailey who is starting to be a great duelist in the Pro League is dueling at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles against this 3-time Pro from San Francisco and I wanted to watch it at our HQ and Erica is allowing me to do so. If she does win, she becomes a pro and he'll get demoted as well. You both want to watch with me and the others?"
I nodded and then I looked at Maria and she resumed, "Why the hell not? We have no plans, honey."
"Sounds really good to me. Ii'll pick you both up at about 11:00 and the duel doesn't start unti; 12:30 anyway. With that said, let's head out."
They both nodded and they all left and they didn't know it, but that recruiter Karasha was at a back table and he smiled and replied, "You World Fighters will lose control of this city and we'll take over in our massive search."
He got up and quietly left as well.

In the El Dorado district of the city, it was once known as a Las Vegas Jr with all it many casinos. Thanks to the Saints and people all over the world, the casinos were rebuilt and were super popular to this day. In the basement area of the newly built Purple Star Resort and Casino, Edmund and Karasha were walking around and this was the hideout for the gang as well.
Edmund then replied, "Nice hideout, I guess. Your father is the part owner of this casino and resort?"
The guy nodded and replied, "You are correct about that one, Edmund. I'm the son of the amazing Jharati Sherniafin and he's the part owner of the casino and part leader of the gang as well."
Edmund nodded and replied, "Nice to see that. What do I have to do to be a part of this gang?"
He nodded and replied, "My father will tell you. He's coming right now."
He pointed at a nearby large door and it opened and a tall and obese guy walked out of it and he wore a grey suit and tie and he saw his son and he looked at Edward and replied, "Who is he, Karasha?"
He then replied, "He's Edmund, a guy that was screwed over by the Santo Ileso World Fighters , father. He wants payback for that and he wants to help us in any way that can as well, dad."
He looked at him and he replied, "Think he can win a Shadow Circle Duel?"
Karasha then replied, "I think so. He said he has a powerful new deck and he wants to use it."
"I look forward to seeing that myself, Karasha. Make sure he rests up and we'll head downstairs to indeed see if he has what it takes to be a member of the group or a lost soul of the shadows, so."
Edmund looked a bit more nervous and then replied, "I look forward to helping your gang out, sir."
He looked at him and he nodded and replied, "I actually do believe you with that one, my young friend. Enjoy your time and see you later. I have to get back to the Casino."
His son nodded as he went back through the same door he came out of in and Edmund looked at Karasha and replied, "Shadow Circle Duel?"
He nodded and resumed, "We'll explain it to you later on, my friend. I'll show you around our group and we'll help get back at those World Fighters for runing your life."
"I can't wait to do so either. Show me everything you all have to got."
He nodded and then went towards the other side of the basement area.

That next day, we all met in the lounge area of the HQ with Stephanie there as well. Keith were joining us there because he didn't have to go out until the night shift.
Keith nodded and replied, "So, this is your cousins big chance of being a Pro from our city, eh? This is a lot of pressure."
Stephanie nodded and resumed, "This was always her dream of being a Pro for the city ever since our Grandpa Phil was a grand champion many years ago."
I looked at her and resumed, "What kind of deck does she even use anyway? Anything like your Warrior army one?"
Stephanie only smiled and replied, "Let's just say it's powerful and she uses right. You'll all see soon enough."
We all nodded as the screen began to turn to show the middle of the Rose Bowl.

The Rose Bowl has stayed the same since it opened way back in 1922 and has been used for many kinds of sport events and even Duel Monsters championships. It was currently hosting the 2116 California State Championship to see who will be the top duelist in the Pros. They were two announcers and they were a taller guy with a brown-haired head and the lady was shorter and had blonde hair and they were married and owned the Radio Station as well in Los Angeles as wel. There was a tall male that was the judge and watcher of this tournament as well.
He laughed and replied, "We've had 12 amazing matches here so far and this will be the best match! I won't say much more, but for our final match we brought these amazing ladies in to help us announce the duel! Here is Pat and Emily Derkmon also known as Em and both are from Los Angeles at WTRP! Take it away, you two!"
Everyone cheered and he handed the couple a microphone and then then Pat replied," Thanks, Xavier! We've had so many matches so far in this duel and we have two of the best duelists we've seen in the USA in a very long time as well and it all comes down to one more duel to decide who is your California State Champion and undefeated Pro League Master! Ready for this, Em?"
"Sure am, Pat. Let's get going this show on the road. Our first champion has a deck with a powerful deck with some of the best ideas and top notch Strategies! From San Francisco, here is David Jones!"
They all cheered loudly as he walked in and he wore blue shirt and blue jean pants and he had brown hair, blue eyes and a thin body and a duel disk on his arm and Pat resumed, "Her opponent is a amazing duelist that increases in power and fun each time we all see her use it! From Santo Ileso, here is Bailey Newmeyer!"
The crowd cheered loud as she walked in and she walked in wearing a beautiful flowered white dress and her arms both were covered in sleeves of flower and small insect tattoos and she had the words CALIFORNIA DREAMING tattooed in black letters on her chest surrounded by small red and yellow flowers and her legs had a bunch of flowers tattooed on them as well and she had blonde hair and glasses covering her blue eyes and she had a duel disk covered in flowers on her arm as she walked in and she saw him and replied, "Ready for a great match, David?"
He nodded and then Pat then replied, "Let's get ready to duel. Duelists, activated your duel disks!"
They both activated their duel disks and both drew 5 cards and Em smiled and replied, "Let the final match of the California State Championship begin..NOW!"
"Game on!", both yelled out.

Pat then replied, "Since Bailey had more lifepoints left then David did in her last duel, she goes first."
She nodded and looked at her hand and resumed, "I'll set a monster and that's my turn now."
David drew a card and replied, "Let's get going with this duel. I summon my Armageddon Knight!"
He played and the dark armored knight appeared (ATK: 1,400).
"I'll ditch a card from my deck."
He quickly did so and resumed, "Lets do this! Attack his facedown monster!"
It went and a small plant with a depressing looking face appeared on the card (DEF: 1,000) and he slashed at and it let out a moan before it wilted down and dissolved into dust.
"Your same opening move from your last duel, I See. I end my turn now."
She drew a card and she smiled and replied, "I won that duel, didn't I? I activate The World Tree first."
The spell appeared and a huge tree grew out of the ground behind her.
"I now summon my Naturia White Oak."
She played the card and a large beautiful tree appeared (ATK: 1,800) and Pat nodded and resumed, "She's still using her amazing Plant deck like she uses. A very tricky deck to use, but powerful if used in the right way!"
"Got that right. Attack her Knight with Oak Leave barrage."
The top of the tree glowed as a burst of glowing white leaves shot out, plowing into the knight and blowing him to minute shards.

"Your move, dude."
He drew a card and resumed, "I bring back my Immortal Bushi with his effect."
The warrior appeared and then knelt (DEF: 800)
"I'll set a new monster facedown and that'll end my turn now."
Giselle drew a card and he resumed, "I now summon my Jerry Beans Man."
She played and the cute jelly bean warrior appeared with a small plastic sword and shield appeared (ATK: 1,750).
"Let's do this. White Oak attacks first."
The tree let out its leave barrage and it shot out and struck down, blasting the aged warrior to bits.
"Jerry, attack!"
The warrior went in and a strange shadowy creature made of brown tattered armor and boots appeared on the card (DEF: 1,200) and he went and seamingly slashed through it and it made no cry or moan before it dissolved into blue fiery embers that flew around the the field.
"Strange one there. I End my turn now."
David drew a card and replied, "I summon The Phantom Knights of Torn Scales,"
He played the card and a dark shadowy creature broken silver armor pieces appeared (ATK: 600).
"I use its effect now. I'll discard a card to send a Phantom Knights card from my deck to the graveyard."
He took a Famillar Knight and discarded it and then took a card from his deck and discarded it and then his deck reshuffled and resumed, "Now since my monster is a Level 3 monster, I can Special Summon my Kagemucha Knight as well!"
He played the card and a dark armored Warrior appeared (DEF: 0).
"I now overlay my 2 Level 3 monsters!"
They both turned into glowing black orbs and a portal opened up, which they flew into.
"I use these monsters to build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Appear from the deep darkness and punish your enemies! I Xyz Summon The Phantom Knights of Break Sword!"
He played the card and a shadowy warrior wearing a shadowy horse appeared with a huge dark sword appeared (ATK: 2,000) and Em nodded and resumed, "This card helps his deck out. Phantom Knights are powerful cards and can be tricky to use in a deck."
"I now activate my A. Forces!"
The spell appeared and his knight glowed with dark power (ATK: 2,000 - 2,200).
"Destroy her Jerry Beans Man!"
The evil knight charged in and slashed with his sword. cutting the jelly bean in twain. The pieces shattered to bits.

A small flower grew on the tree.
"Take that! I end my turn now."
Bailey drew a card and replied, "I'll switch my White Oak to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and a card facedown and that'll end my turn now."
David drew a card and replied, "I summon my Dark Blade!"
He played the card and the dark swordsman appeared (ATK: 1,800) and then she pointed at her facedown card and a Dust Tornado appeared and a gust of wind shot out and smashed the A. Forces card to shards (ATK: 2,200 - 2,000).
"Darn it! I equip him with Fairy Meteor Crush!"
The spell appeared and the sword glowed red.
"Attack her White Oak!"
It went in and slashed with the giant sword, reducing the large tree to wooden splinters and leaves.

"Dark Blade, attack!"
The swordsman rushed in and a Naturia Ragweed appeared on the card (DEF: 2,000) and the creature let out a puff of pollen and it pushed him back.

"Damn it! I end my turn now."
Bailey drew a card and resumed, "Notice the three flowers on my World Tree?"
She pointed at it and she smiled and resumed, "Each time destroyed a plant monster of mine, it gains a Flower Counter and I'll remove two of them to destroy your Xyz."
Two of the flowers vanished from the large tree (Flower Counters: 3 - 1) and a burst of vines shout and wrapped around the Xyz. The crowd cheered before it exploded into a blue fiery embers and small black shards as the vines retracted and he quickly replied, "When my Xyz Summoned monster is wiped out, I can Special Summon 2 Phantom Knight monsters from my graveyard!"
He played the cards and the Torn Scales appeared (DEF: 1,600) and so did the Silent Boots (DEF: 1,200). I see now. I now summon my Tuner monster Staysailor Romain."
She played the card and a young plant girl appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"I tune my monsters together."
She smiled as she split into 3 white stars, which turned into green rings and the rings went through Ragweed, which turned into 3 white stars (*3 + *4 = *7).
"A true spirit that resides in the most peaceful of forests and small flying insects fly through it all of the time. It will defend its homeland and weaker creatures from anything that threatens it. Synchro Summon. Rise from the Forest, Circle of the Fairies."
She played the card and a huge wooden giant with a large wooden and hands with sharp stone-like claws appeared (ATK: 2,200) and Em smiled and replied, "This amazing monster helped her win a match not too long ago!"
""I use my new monster's effect. now. I can make a extra Normal Summoned or set as long as its a Plant or insect and I choose my Naturia Horneedle."
It glowed and a small cute fuzzy bee with a stinger and wings made of leaves appeared with a buzzing noise (ATK: 1,800).
"Time to fight. Horneedle attacks your Torn Scales."
It went and drove its stinger into the shadowy warrior and it did nothing before it burst into blue fiery embers and its rusted armor pieces fell to the ground in a series of clatters.
"I attack your Dark Blade now."
The huge head began to glow as a storm of razor-sharp leaves shot out and sliced through the swordsman and cut marks appeared on its before it exploded into small black pieces.

"Once per turn, When a monster you control is destroyed by a Plant or Insect monster I control while my Circle is on the field, you take damage equal to half of the attack of the destroyed monster and then I gain the same amount of lifepoints."
She glowed with energy while David moaned as the Synchro bombarded him with a burst of leaves and small white shards.

Pat nodded and resumed, "Each time she summons that huge beast of a monster, her lifepoints go up and up high! She manged to get over 10,000 lifepoints with that monster and another card she has in her deck.
"There you go. That ends my turn now."

Back at the lounge, we continued to watch the duel.
Maria looked at Stephanie and replied, "Your cousin has a amazing deck. That Synchro of hers is really powerful."
She nodded and resumed, "She aalways had the best of decks. I've been never able to beat her, but I will soon hopefully."
I nodded and then replied, "Her tattoos are so colorful and beautiful."
"They really are. She's a pro duelist and a former tattoo artist as well. She's given many people some amazing works of ink. She was really talented in that way."
I nodded as we continued to watch the duel.

Back at the duel, it was turn and he drew a card and resumed, "I'll set a monster and a card facedown and that's my turn now." that's my turn now."
Bailey drew a card and resumed, "Horneedle attacks again."
The small insect went in and stabbed at the shadowy Warrior and burst into shredded pieces of cloth which dissolved into particles.
"Circle attacks now."
THe huge giant let out another burst of shards and a Famillar Knight appeared on the card (DEF: 1,400) and the attack bombarded it and blasted the knight to pieces and then the effects went off again.

He moaned and resumed, "I Special Summon my Getsu Fuhma."
He played and the brown-haired ronin appeared (ATK: 1,700) and the she looked at the two cards in her hand and she sighed and resumed, "I can't summon anything right now. Your turn now, sir."
David drew a card and resumed, "I activate my Akashic Record."
He drew 2 cards and they were a Mystical Plasma Zone and a monster called Arisen Gaia the Fierce Knight and resumed, "SInce you still have more monsters then me, I can Summon my Arisen Gaia the Fierce Knight without needing another tribute!"
He played the card and a dark armored form of Gaia the Fierce Knight appeared (ATK: 2,300) and then he opened his field slot and replied, "I activate my Mystical Plasma Zone!"
He slid the card into the slot and the arena turned into a huge arena of darkness and shadows (ATK: 2,300 - 2,800) - (ATK: 1,700 - 2,200) and then he played a Mystical Space Typhoon and the storm slammed into the tree and it collapsed to the ground in a shower of wooden timbers.
"There you go. Destroy her Synchro!"
It charged in and jammed its spear into the chest of the giant and a strange moan-like noise came from it as it slowly fell to the ground in a loud crashing noise, smashing into wooden splinters and dust.
"Getsu, attack!"
She went in and slashed at the Bee, blowing it to pixels.

"Take that, Lady! I end my turn now."
Bailey drew a card and resumed, "I'll set a monster and a card facedown that's my turn now."
David drew a card and resumed, "I'll beat you! Arisen, attack!"
The mighty knight went in and a 2nd Grass Phantom appeared on the card (DEF: 1,000) and the warrior simply trampled with his mount.
"Getsu, direct attack!"
She went in and slashed at her and she moaned as the ronin struck her down.

She groaned and resumed, "I activate my Damage Condensor."
She discarded and a cute little fly with fruit for a body appeared (DEF: 1,500).
"I see. I end my turn now."
Bailey drew a card and she resumed, "I summon my Naturia Mole Cricket."
She played the card and a small cute insect flew onto the field (ATK: 0) and Em nodded and repleid, "Folks, she's used this card so many times and it's ability is so powerful."
"Since you control a monster with the highest attack, I can tribute my little friend to Special Summon two Naturia monsters from my deck and I choose my Naturia Stag Beetle and my Naturia Butterfly."
The small insect flew off into the distance and as a large beetle and a cute strawberry-like monster appeared (ATK: 1,600).
"Also, your monsters lose 300 attack for each Naturia monster I control now thanks to my fly."
The both glowed (ATK: 2,800 - 1,900) - (ATK: 2,200 - 1,300) and then she smiled as a Mystical Space Typhoon appeared and smashed the FIeld Spell to bits and weakened his monsters (ATK: 1,900 - 1,400) - (ATK: 1,300 - 800).
"Lets do it. Strawberry attacks your knight."
The eyes of it glowed as a stream of red juice shot out and struck his knight down and it moaned before bursting into shards.
"Stag Beetle is next to attack."
The large bug flew in and grabbed the ronin and made a hard squeeze and blew her to pieces.

Pat smiled and replied, "She has her opponent on the run now, folks. After she gets a field like this, she's hard to beat, folks!"
"There you go. I'll set a card and that'll end my turn now."
David drew a card and the Bushi reappeared (DEF: 800) and then he resumed, "I now activate my Spellbooks from the Pot."
Both drew 3 cards and resumed, "I play Change of Heart!"
The spell appeared and the cute fly was pulled over to his side of the field.
"I tribute your little friend for my Dark General Freed!"
He played the card and the dark evil counterpart of Freed the Matchless General appeared (ATK: 2,300).
"I activate One for One and Special Summon my Phantom Knights of Spectre Lancer!"
He discarded a card and a shadowy creature made with a dark-metaled lancer appeared (ATK: 500).
"I tune it with my Bushi!"
The shadowy Warrior glowed as it split into a single white star, which turned into green rings and the rings went through The Immortal Bushi, which turned into 3 white stars (*1 + *3 = *4).
"I have no chant and no other chant for this monster, so I Synchro Summon my Underworld Fighter Balmung!'
He played the card and a dark armored Warrior with a huge sword for a weapon appeared (ATK: 2,100)
"Since I used my Spectre Lancer in a Synchro Summon of a dark monster, I can shuffle a Phantom Knights cards back into my deck and then draw a card."
He took a monster from earlier and shuffled it into the deck and he drew a card and resumed, "and he smiled and replied, "I activate my Solidarity since I have only Warrior monsters in my graveyard!"
He played the card and his monsters glowed (ATK: 2,100 - 2,900) -(ATK: 2,300 - 3,100).
"Lets do this. Warriors, attack!"
The Warriors charged in ready to battle. Freed went in and slashed with his sword, cutting the Strawberry in two. The pieces shattered into small red bits and the Balmung went and drove his sword into the side of the large insect and its mandibles went crazy before it exploded into pixels.

"Gotcha there, lady! I end my turn now."
Bailey drew a card and he nodded and resumed, "This might hurt, but I drop 1000 lifepoints to activate my Cosmic Cyclone."
She moaned as the Spell Card fell apart into small white shards that dissolved when they struck the ground.

"I activate my Monster Reborn."
The spell appeared and the Circle of the Fairies appeared again (ATK: 2,200) and he resumed, "I activate my Plant Food Chain."
The facedown card appeared as the wooden giant began to glow (ATK: 2,200 - 2,700).
"I'll set a card for later and I'll attack your General. Attack with Nature's Wrath."
The giant wooden head glowed as a huge burst of white shards of stone shot out and struck, striking down the evil General and blowing him to pieces.

The Synchro giant glowed as another burst of sharp white stones struck him down.

Em smiled and replied, "Folks, that was really cool. She dropped 1,000 lifepoints to banish it and then thanks to her monster there, she gains it all back! What a combo."
"Take that, buddy. I end my turn now."
David drew a card and he resumed, "No why your stopping me from winning this duel! I'll switch Balung to defense and then I'll set a new monster facedown and that's my turn now."
Bailey drew a card and she then replied, "I summon my Heavy Carrotweight Champion."
She played the monster nad a strange carrot-like fighter appeared (ATK: 1,900) and then she smiled and resumed, "I'll discard a Naturia Bamboo Shoot to activate my Overdone Burial and bring back my Spiderfang."
The spell appeared and the large cartoon-like spider appeared (ATK: 2,100) and David looked puzzled and replied, "Why use that one? No way I'm using a card's effect right now."
She smiled and resumed, "Any monster Special Summoned with this effect has their effect negated while it's equipped to this monster, my friend."
That took a while for him to bring it in and he then gulped as he realized this duel was over for him.
"Time to finish this duel off right here and now. Spiderfang, attack."
The spider glowed as a burst of white acidic-like webs shot out and struck the Synchro in the chest and he moaned and then exploded into black shards.
"Circle, your turn."
The Synchro let out another burst of white shards and they shot out and a Dark Grepher appeared on the card (DEF: 1,600) and the shard attack blasted the evil warrior to pieces and then they both glowed like before.

The final Plant monster went and slammed its carrot arm into him and knocked him the card.
