I can't sleep.

It has to be super late, and I'm worn out.

But that doesn't matter apparently. Glancing over to Sabine's figure shrouded in the night my heart can't help but jump a little. She was nuzzled up against my shoulder, not entirely asleep, but if her deep slow breaths were anything to go by, she was close to it.

Her hair was a mess of color, and her face was still blushed from a night's worth of kisses.

I just spent the last few hours exploring every detail about her, and my mind still can't comprehend the exhilarating sensation I'm feeling.

Now what to make of our conversation last night.

Part of me understands her point of view. I'm being rash, lashing out at the Empire like this. But I can't shake this feeling of utter hate at their presence.

If I go back now, I could be with Sabine, and go back to our daily routine on the Ghost.

But I've made it so far already. All of my progress would be a loss.

We didn't even get into the incriminating files I found. The things the Empire plans to do.

And Tarkin is behind it all. Sabine let out a soft breath against my shoulder creating a warm tingly sensation just beneath the skin.

Maybe if I could create a leak, I could let all of this go. Allow the information I obtained to work for itself. Take Tarkin down from the inside out.

The thought lingered on my mind as Sabine stirred closer to consciousness. Her hand softly slips around my waist, as she wiggles her head up onto my chest.

"You awake?" I murmur into her ear.

"Mmm-hmmm. Am now." she answers barely above a whisper.

"Sabine I . . ." I prepare myself for the words I'm about to let slip out of my mouth. "Sabine, I love you." Kriff. I lay my head back against the stiff pillow, anticipating her answer.

She lifted her head, peering up at me. "I know." she says plainly with a small smile. "I love you too." she lays her head back down and lets out a breath. "I always have Ezra."

"In every way." I add gruffly.

"Yes." she agrees. "But I will not support you in your force forsaken plan." she states, popping to her feet.

I watch the sheet slip from her body as she begins to gather up her undergarments. "You know, if it wasn't for my brash decision making, this little excursion would have never happened." sitting up against the wall, I rest my head against my arm.

Sabine shakes her head with a smile. "No . . ." she starts as she slips into her bodysuit "But if it wasn't for your "brash" decision making, we would all be on Lothal right about now. Safe." with that she turns and heads into the bathroom.

"So, about Hera and the others." I peer into the bathroom seeing that Sabine is attempting to straighten her vibrant hair.

"Three days Ezra." she replies coming out of the bathroom and sits on the corner of the bed as she begins to put her armor back on. "That's all I'm giving you. So, whatever you plan on doing, it better happen now."

Well that's just not fair.

"Sabine . . ."

"I'm giving you fair warning Ezra." finally finishing up on her armor plates, she leans across the bed. She reaches up and brushes my cheek with her thumb, tracing the cheekbone.

Force why.

Our gaze meets and Sabines leans in for a quick kiss then turns and heads to the door. "Three days." she says out loud holding three fingers in the air.

. . .

And now she's gone.

The space on the bed that she once occupied was cold, so was everything else in the room.

Three days. Three days to pull off the impossible.

. . . . . .

(3 days later)

"All right Judd, work your magic buddy."

"Trying" he murmurs, hovered over a data terminal.

Former Imperial technology, fetched from the salvage shipyards up North. Who knew the Empire was so wasteful.

I smirk at the thought and lean over Judd's shoulder peering at the screen. "Well I hope my skills won't be called into question here." Judd says typing fiercely.

"Don't say that Judd, I believe in ya." I say nonchalantly, patting his shoulder.

I need this. Or all those credits I've spent on the last month were all for nothing. And that's nothing compared to the attention I've drawn to myself.

Judd worked in silence for several moments. I didn't dare distract him from his work.

I'm sure those encrypted Imperial firewalls are a bitch to get past.

The plan is to leak the files I discovered to a "reliable" source that knew what to do with it. Sabine was able to help me out there. She mentioned a contact Hera met with, hunkered down in a small, but high class store for rare artifacts found around the galaxy.

Guy was kind of a snobby dick, but the receptionist was nice enough.

They agreed to accept the transfer. Only problem was, I had to gain access to those documents again.

It was easy when I was ripping people apart and forcing them to give me information and access to disclosed files.

But without that option currently available here on Coruscant, I had to resort to Judd. He was a nice enough guy, and an absolute computer wiz.

Found him in the tech center of the core market. Works for fairly cheap. I think he just enjoys hacking and encrypting for the fun of it.

"Hmmm." It was the first sound he had made for the past 15 minutes, "This may be harder than we thought . . ." Judd scrunched his nose and leaned back in his chair.

"Were you not able to find them? Operation Stardust and Operation Remnant, remember?" The lieutenant that I "ran" into at the Southern Lothal Airbase let it slip that these were projects that were supervised by the Emperor himself, and Grand Moff Tarkin.

"Yea . . . wait I got it. I'll just reroute the codes through a more direct route and it should create a system failure in the safelock . . . there." Judd stands a smile on his face. "Done. Files accessed." He turns to me looking pleased.

Walking up to the terminal I double check the names of the documents. "Alright, now make copies of the transcripts and transfer the copies to this EP address." I hand him a small datapad with the secure codes the artifact seller gave me. "And hurry, I'm sure it won't be long until the Empire finds your breach."

"On it." I let him finish up, and take a seat letting out a deep breath.

Alright Sabine, now what.

. . .

Double update. Really think I'm gettin in a groove now. Hope y'all like where this is going. Again sorry for the short chapters.
