Total Drama Dreamland Episode 6: Year of the Drama

Chris is seen in Margaret's room cleaning the room along with Chef. He then looks at the camera and says, "Last time on Total Drama Dreamland. The contestants went to court to find out who had stolen from our benevolent benefactor. Wendell told Danuja about his powers and accidentally using it on her, and was forgiven, until he was not. Tough break bro. Mathias is still struggling with his inner demons and now has an important choice to make, which was made even more important after Benjamin, his closest friend, forfeits the competition after he unintentionally injures Katniss." The camera moves to Chris and Chef again and he continues, "And because of this and how the challenge came to be, me and Chef are now in charge of cleaning every room in the whole building. And we can't even use the VIP room."

"Keep cleaning!" Margaret yells offscreen, which frightens both Chris and Chef and they start cleaning faster.

"12 are left!" Chris starts. "Look forward to see who goes next on Total Drama Dreamland!"

Several cameras in all directions aim at the entrance to the warehouse while a familiar tune plays in the background.

"Dear mom and dad I'm doing fine." The cameras go into the warehouse and immediately zooms past Chris and rotates around the Dreamcatcher 500.

"You guys are on my mind." The screen of the machine starts flickering until it shows an image of Benjamin on a rocket is space and riding the rocket like a horse and speeding off the screen.

"You asked me what I wanted to be, and I think the answer's plain to see," Another rocket appears and it's hit by a baseball which cause the rocket to explode. The screen then shows Mathias smirking as he was holding a bat. Touma stood by his left and falls down after having a panic attack from the rocket exploding and Mathias looks down and frowns at him in confusion.

"I wanna be famous!" The screen then moves to a tea party with several giant stuffed animals with Liz and Cara sitting in chairs. Liz is enjoying the tea and looking to scheme her next move while Cara is full of fear and runs away screaming.

"I wanna live close to the sun," The screen changes to a carnival where Maverick was winning at a ring toss game and throw his arms up in triumph.

"So, pack your bags, cause I already won," The screen changes to a giant nest where Eileen was taking care of several crows laying around her and one was pecking at her right hand for treats, which hurt Eileen and she yelps in pain.

"Everything to prove, nothing in my way," The screen changes to a forest where Sarah was running away from an unknown person. She trips and sees Kevin, who laughs at her before screaming and dodging a giant knife aimed at his head.

"I'll get there one day," The screen changes to a cafeteria where Chef was making something, and Wendell was depressed about it and lets out a sigh.

"Cause I wanna be famous!" Chef hears and was going to attack him, but Danuja pulled him out of the way before Chef connected and as Chef crashed into something, both Wendell and Danuja smile at each other.

"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na," The screen changes to a dark room where Makayla was staring down against four sets of eyes with one set of them being Katniss and has a sword ready and prepares to fight.

"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" The screen then changes to a musical stage where Carmen and Silver are entertaining a crowd. Carmen doing several dance moves and Silver slowly moving into a random pose. Both end in perfect symmetry to each other and doing jazz hands.

"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" The screen goes up to the sky where the moon appears and goes down to show a frozen wasteland where Felix was shivering while hustling by a fire and was given a jacket by Meredith and they smile to each as a whistling sound is heard and the screen pulls back to show all of the contestants and a neon sign that says Total Drama Dreamland. Then the screen fades to black.

(Mess Hall)

Most of the contestants, barring Danuja and Felix, are sitting at the remains of the mess hall, still broken from the fight between Chef and Katniss days ago. The contestants are eating fast food and several snacks, which they consider to be an improvement. Though most of them are hardly eating, for what happened last challenge still remain in the forefront of everyone's minds.

Kevin, feeling frustrated from the awkward atmosphere, lets out a long groan and shouts, "Come on! How long are we going to act like this!?"

Wendell puts a shoulder on Kevin and says, "Everyone is just shaken up with what happened last challenge, Kevin. It's not something that's going to go away overnight."

"Especially now we were given proof that we could get killed by those machines we use so much." Makayla chimes in.

"I know." Kevin starts, "But…"

"Give it up Kevin." Mathias says from the Lucid Dreamers' table, "No one is interested."

Kevin was about to shout, but seeing everyone's defeated expression, he frowns and sits in defeat. He then looks at Wendell and asks, "So, has Danuja come out her room yet?"

"No." Wendell replies, "I've said sorry multiple times, even tried to sit by her door and say sorry repeatedly."

"Tried?" Makayla asks.

Wendell replies, "She threw me back into my room and knocked me out. I was out the whole night."

"That's it!" Kevin gets up from his seat with a determined expression, "I'm going to give her a piece of my mind. She's not going to get away with this." Kevin goes to the elevator to see Danuja.

Wendell tries to call him back but, "Let him go." Meredith says to Wendell, "It'll be good for us if Kevin can get through to Danuja for the next challenge. And if not, then Danuja can punch him to a mushy paste. Win-win."

Wendell sighs at the comment, and Makayla says, "Speaking of missing teammates, where's Felix?"

Meredith answers "Margaret called him into her room. Likely to return that stuffed animal from last challenge. Which reminds me, I'm going to check up and see if he's done. Be back in a second." Meredith quickly goes to the elevator, which causes Makayla to giggle. But then Makayla sees that she and Wendell are the only two left at the table.

Makayla sees Wendell expression and tries to cheer him up, "Hey Wendell," Wendell turns his attention to Makayla, "I know that I'm bad at these kind of talks. But I just want to say that it wasn't your fault. I mean technically, those were your powers which you received from Chris, and you learned how to use them in the second challenge. And the challenge later you blink and see all her personal info and…"

"Not helping Makayla." Wendell says even looking more depressed.

Makayla chastises herself and replies, "Sorry. Still bad at it. What I want to say is that it was an accident, and she's overreacting. And if she really likes you, she'll come to that conclusion herself and apologize."

"And if she doesn't?" Wendell asks.

Makayla replies, "Then move on from her. There are plenty of girls out there for you. Not me though. Sorry, but you're not my type. Though if we keep in contact with each other, I think I can hook you up. Though we may have to set the bar low, and we may need to see if glasses are in and…

"Makayla." Wendell dryly says.

"…Sorry." She replies.

Confessional Start

Wendell: (He sighs in shame) I know I should be glad people are on my side. But I don't feel like I should be on my side. I saw that info and couldn't keep my mouth shut about my powers. And now the girl I like locked herself in anger and shame. I have to face facts, I blew it.

Makayla: It's official. I really need to keep my mouth shut sometimes.

Confessional End

Meanwhile, on Dreamers' table, Eileen is talking to Mav and trying to improve her speech. Mav says, "Repeat after me, "Can I please sit with you."

"Can I pl…please sit with y…you." Eileen replies.

"You're still having trouble. Mav says honestly. "Want to take a break?" Eileen quickly nods her head and Mav sighs and says, "Yeah. I guess a break can be good."

Eileen sees that Mav has a downcast expression and asks, "A..Are you okay?"

Mav looks at her and says, "I guess I'm just not feeling happy at the moment."

"With what h…happened with Ben and Katniss?" Eileen asks.

Mav nods and says, "A girl who didn't know what was happening almost lost her life, and our former teammate is out and looking after her. The messed-up part is that was very close to the best-case scenario. It could have ended with both of them dead."

"Y…Yeah. It…was n…not a go…good ex…experi…experience." Eileen nervously says as she starts to fidget and looks extremely frightened."

Mav sees this and put his hand on Eileen's shoulder, "Sorry. I should have known that you were scared too."

"It…It's fine. I'm jus…just scared of getting in that ma…machine again." Eileen replies.

Mav nods and says, "All I know is that they better get those machines fixed, or they'll see that contract or no, I'm not going to be part of a show that are willing to kill us so easily."

Eileen says, "You s…saw Total Drama b…before. Right?"

Mav sighs and says, "I heard what I said too."

Confessional Start

Eileen: Mav and I have been ge…getting closer now and I feel like I can trust him more than Liz. Maybe we can be friends after this. Or maybe…" (Eileen starts to shake her head in a fast-paced motion) No no no no. Too early to even think that.

Mav: This show has already almost killed someone and where not even past the pre-merge yet. Not to mention there are three more bosses left to deal with. This season may have a death toll coming if we don't watch ourselves.

Confessional End

On the other side of the table, Carmen is sitting down and fiddling with her music player, which Bullet is staring at her and eating what he could. Bullet then decides to ask, "What music are you planning to play this time?"

Without looking, Carmen replies, "I'm thinking to go with either rock and roll, or space opera. Something a little bit different than what I already shown."

Bullet then says what he's really thinking, "Are you sure that you're not going to put on more classical music? Get yourself in the zone of more manipulation?"

Carmen then turns her eyes to him and says, "It's important to try different genres, just like it's important to not just focus on taking out one teammate over and over."

"Like how you are focusing on getting another teammate to be your ally?" Bullet says without missing a beat.

"…Touché." Carmen relents, "But what's your point?"

Bullet then says, "My point is that we both know how to play the game, yet neither of us our finding success in our respective goals. Maybe the best thing for us to do is work together going forward."

"If that's how you really felt, you would have not set up Liz to lose." Carmen also says without missing a beat.

Bullet similarly replies, "…Touché. But I still think that it's better that we don't go against each other."

"Fine." Carmen says as she gets up from the table, "You'll play your game, and I'll play mine." Carmen then walks away.

Bullet merely smirks and eats the rest of his food.

Confessional Start

Bullet: I may have focused on Sarah a lot lately. But it doesn't mean I'm unaware of how much a threat Carmen is. She's a wildcard in more ways than one. And I don't what her to be played on me. Especially when it may be us two going against each other in the finale.

Carmen: (Still looking for a song) I'm still having trouble finding the right song. What's the right type of music for today?

Confessional End

At the corner of the table, Mathias is eating food by himself. He's taking what happened last episode the hardest and is now very depressed and angry. Because of this, everyone is giving him his space. But then Sarah decides to sit across from him. Mathias notices this and says, "What do you want?"

Sarah tries to clear her throat and says, "First I would like to say that I'm sorry with what happened to Benjamin and…"

"Get to the point!" Mathias says since he didn't want to waste any time with small talk."

Sarah looks slightly offended from being cut off, but she hold herself and merely says, "I want to make an alliance with you."

"Huh?" Mathias looks at Sarah like she grew a second head.

Sarah then continues, "As you know, both of us are at the bottom of the team now."

"Yeah! and you're the one who put me in the bottom in the first place!" Mathias counters."

"You did that to yourself!" Sarah counters back, "The way you acted that challenge was unacceptable, and you know it."

Mathias couldn't argue with that, so he hold his tongue and says, "Then why would you want to work with me when my attitude is 'unacceptable'?"

Sarah sighs and says, "Because…I messed up in trying to be a leader." Mathias is surprised to hear Sarah admit she made a mistake, but Sarah continues, "Because of it, Mav has taken over as leader and Bullet is targeting me. If it wasn't for what happened last challenge, I would have likely been voted off."

It anger Mathias a bit that Sarah mentions only being saved because of the last challenge, but then he remembers only being saved because of Bullet revealing Liz. He takes a deep breath, and stands up saying, "We may be in the same position at the moment, and we have a common enemy. But it doesn't mean we will work well with each other…I'll think about your proposal, but don't expect to hear from me till I'm sure." Mathias leaves the table and Sarah is now alone with her thoughts.

Confessional Start

Sarah: I know that it might not be a good time. But I was running out of time. If I'm ever going to have a chance at the merge, I know I'm going to need Mathias' help. Not my first choice, sure. But it's the only way I have now.

Mathias: Now Sarah wants me as an ally? My, how the tables have turned. But the weird thing is that I didn't want any alliances at the start of this, but I don't really have a choice anymore. Especially when…Ben dropped out. But even so, neither Sarah nor Carmen our great allies to have. So, if I'm doing this, then I at least want to pick the best of the two. This'll require some thought.

Confessional End

(Interns Room)

Felix left Margaret's room with Margaret shouting, "And don't ever try to steal from me again!"

"Crystal." Felix says,

SLAM!

Then the door is shut and Felix heads to the elevator. Meredith is there waiting for him and is holding the door to which Felix says, "Thank you kindly."

Meredith nods and closes the door. As Felix presses the button to go to the Mess Hall, she asks, "So, how bad was it?"

Felix shrugs and replies, "Nothing bad except for the usual threats and shouting. Something that I expected and was prepared for."

Meredith looks at Felix with surprise and intrigue, "I take it you have experience being threatened?"

"Let's just say I wasn't always a card shark." Felix replies, "But honestly, I'm not really too scared of Margaret."

A little shock to hear this, Meredith asks, "Why not?"

Felix grins and says, "She just interests me a lot. And there's a lot more to her than meets the eye." Meredith is silent after hearing this, looking to be deep in thought. Then the door opens, "Ah. Good, I can still get some food." As Felix is leaving the elevator, he sees that Meredith is still in the elevator. "Are you coming?"

Meredith gets out of her thoughts and says, "Um…yeah. I was just thinking about something." Meredith then quickly leaves to get more food.

Confessional Start

Felix: After a stressful challenge yesterday. It felt good to have a simple conversation with Meredith. And with our alliance, we have everything we need to beat the house and take home the prize.

Meredith: (Meredith's right eye is twitching and has a weird smile on her face) So, Felix likes Margaret…How nice…Who knew Felix likes criminals…Hahaha…Learn something new every day.

"OPEN UP DANUJA!" Shouted Kevin as he's slamming the door repeatedly "Come out here and take responsibility for hurting your teammates." Danuja doesn't respond and it's making Kevin angrier, "What gives Danuja? You were fine with him potentially having a look at you naked, but you slap and hurt Wendell when he looked at your info? It was an accident, and he didn't even say anything about it." Danuja still doesn't say anything. "You know, since I got on this show, my view on girls has been slowly changing bit by bit. And you were one of the people who helped me see that. So, why is it now that you're proving that my original views to be right?"

"YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!" Danuja shouts at she opens her door and looks at Kevin with a murderous look in her eyes. Kevin is unflinching and returns that look.

"Then tell me." Kevin replies, "What was so important that you had to hurt Wendell for finding out?"

"ATTENTION CONTESTANTS!" Chris shouts in the intercom. "I'M PLEASED TO ANNOUCE THAT THE DREAMCATCHER 500 IS BACK IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER! AS SUCH, WE WILL HAVE OUR NEXT CHALLENGE BEGIN IN FIVE MINUTES. PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE DREAMCATCHER! THAT IS ALL."

Kevin looks angry and grumbles, "Of all the stupid timing." He then looks at Danuja and says, "We'll settle this later."

"Gladly." Danuja replies and they both leave to go to the challenge.

Confessional Start

Kevin: Danuja helped me and Wendell in the past. But now she's becoming a liability for both us and the team as a whole. I know I'm trying to ease up on my views but this time, her being a girl has nothing to do with it. If she doesn't shape up, then she's going.

Danuja: …I wish that I never got on this show.

Confessional End

(Dreamcatcher 500)

The contestants are all at the usual spots with them facing Chris, Chef, and Margaret. As well as the Dreamcatcher Chris begins by saying, "Welcome everyone to next challenge. You all know the drill by now so…" Before he could continue, everyone raise an arm up. Chris sighs and says, "Yes, the machine is fully operational, and the death function has been fixed. When you die in the machine, you'll just be transported back here. Still alive and breathing, no problems whatsoever." Everyone but Mathias put their arms down. "Yes Mathias?"

"How's Ben?" Mathias asks.

Margaret steps up to answers, "He's still watching over Katniss and not taking his eyes off her. Though we are trying to convince to take a shower since he reeks, but he refuses to move and barely eats." Mathias runs to find Ben, but Margaret clothesline him and he lands on the ground, "This is a staff problem. And you're still a contestant. We'll let you know if something good or bad happens, but by contract, you are still expected to compete. So, get back over there. Mathias grumbles as he gets back up and heads back to his team, Mav puts a hand on Mathias' back in understanding.

"Now that that's been taken cared of." Chris says in impatience, "Everyone to the machines." With great reluctance and fear, one by one, everyone gets into the machine and heads for the next dream.

(? Dream)

The contestants appear to be in a festival of some kind during nighttime. A Chinese festival to be precise. With people partying and parade floats with several dragons all over. "Welcome to China!" Chris replies, "Or, the dream equivalent anyway."

Mav looks around and seems pretty excited, "This looks so cool."

Bullet also seems to be excited, "I wonder if they will be interested in my performance?"

Meredith on the other hand seems confused, "Hmmm, this does look fun. But who dreams about this?"

"No one." Chris replies and everyone looks at him confused, "The Chinese stuff is just a setting I added in to go with the actual nightmare."

"N…Nightmare?" Eileen fearfully asks.

Chris nods and says, "Yep. Touma's to be precise. The actual location for the challenge is just outside the festival. So, follow me." Chris starts leading everyone to the actual location of the challenge.

They soon come across a giant factory with rows upon rows of fireworks, some big, some small. Some with simple designs, while others are very intricate. And everything in between. The factory itself has two levels. One with a walkway that stretches across the entire factory with two bridges connecting the sides to each other and a middle one directly above Chris, Chef, Margaret, and the contestants. The level with all the fireworks also has equipment like a forklift and wench. With the exception of some of fireworks that are on the ground, most of the fireworks are in several boxes, each of which are in several shelfs that are all across the building, giving the factory a maze-like design.

The contestants look at the factory in astonishment, which made Chris very happy. With a grin, Chris begins to speak, "As some of you know, Touma has a fear of loud noises and fireworks. So, for today's challenge, you will have one hour explore the factory to find the biggest and loudest fireworks you can find. Each of you are allowed to bring back one firework where we will light it up for everyone to see for the Chinese new year's, and we will judge which of them makes the biggest explosion. The one of you that brings us the firework that makes the biggest noise and explosion will win the challenge for their team." Carmen is the one who decides to raise her arm this time, "Yes, Carmen?"

"Can people die in this dream?" Carmen asks.

Chris replies with a grin, "Yes Carmen, as a matter of fact, people can die in this challenge. Mostly by the interference of other contestants, but it still applies. So be wary, both of you competition, and even the members of your own team." Chris lets the contestants feel more fear before saying, "However, at the end of the day, we are looking for the firework with the biggest explosion, not who has more fireworks. So, it's entirely possible for a team to win even if they have only one person left. As long as they have the best firework, they'll win. Clear?" Everyone nodded at this, and Chris says, "Then your 60 minutes start now. Go!"

Before either team went out to get a firework, each of them went into strategy mode. For the Lucid Dreamers, it went like this.

"Okay, here's the plan." Mav starts, "We each try to go into a different section of the factory. If there is any order in the placements of these fireworks. Odds are that one of these sections will have the best fireworks."

"Sections?" Eileen asks.

Mav explains "Six sections. Two on the right, two on the left, and two on the middle." Each of us will take a section and then come back."

"Good plan." Bullet agrees, "But how will we get out in time? The place is built like a maze."

Mav then says, "They're plenty of fireworks laying around. We can use the ones we didn't pick as markers to let others know where we've been. Thereby letting us mark a way out. In fact, to be sure, put one in the ground to let us know to go that way, one out if it's a dead end."

"No complaints here." Sarah says. To which Mav notices and has become worried as a result. Everyone else nods at the plan so Mav keeps his thoughts to himself.

"Then will do this plan. Bullet and I will stay in the middle. Carmen and Mathias, go to the right. Sarah and Eileen, go to the left. Avoid the Terrors if possible. And good luck." Everyone nodded as they headed to their places.

Confessional Start

Mav: You know. I'm glad that people are following me. But…I don't know. I guess I didn't expect Sarah to give up you know. I know I didn't like her style of leadership. But…did I went too far?

Mathias: Took me everything to not go out on my own. But I want to prove that I can be a team player. Or make sure to not give Bullet more fuel for the fire. Point is, I need to give people a reason to keep me around in case those alliances don't work out. Which is very likely.

Confessional End

Meanwhile, the Terrors are making plans of their own.

"Okay." Meredith starts. "I say we don't take any chances. We grab the shelfs that are closest to us and give them to Chris before the time is up."

"And why should we do that?" Kevin asks.

Meredith in angers says, "If you mention anything about girls. So, help me I'll…"

"Actually, I was thinking that Chris could have put the best fireworks in the back and make it more difficult to bring back it time." Kevin finishes. This leaves the other Terrors in thought.

"True." Makayla says, "But it's also possible for Chris to put those fireworks in the front to make us all worry for nothing. We all know how much of a troll he is." The Terrors all agree with this till Wendell speaks up,

"I say we don't take any chances. A group of three will check the back of the factory, the rest will check the front. Those is the front, shout when the time's almost up."

Felix nods at this and says, "Good idea, Though I also ask each group to make sure to keep eye contact with each other. So, that way we can…"

"Wait. Where's Danuja?" Makayla asks, and everyone looks around in both wonder and panic and see that Danuja is nowhere to be seen.

"Danuja!" Wendell shouts as he starts to run after her.

"Wait Wendell! We…" Kevin tries to shout before Wendell left. "Don't know where Danuja went." Kevin put his left hand on his face and sighs, "When did I become the smart one?" Kevin take his hand off his face and says, "I'll be with Wendell and Danuja. You three are the other team." The remaining three nodded and Kevin left to chase after Wendell and Danuja.

Confessional Start:

Felix: Oh Wendell. You are making this far too easy. You could have played a straight with your abilities, but at this rate, you'll be lucky to end with a pair of twos. Thanks for giving me the game.

Wendell: Danuja, where are you?

Cliffhanger! Yeah, The usual right! Personally, I'm glad I manage to finish this chapter. And I hope I'm far quicker for the next one. Also still working on Grand Prix and as for Superhero. I plan to update next week. (Yes, update, don't have enough characters for the season.) Also, a reminder, I plan to do a sequel of this in the future. No rush since hey, I've taken too long with this chapter alone, but It's still going to happen, and I've run out of characters to preview. So, spots are available. Anyway, the usual questions.
