The room was dark, as stated.

But when Steven turned on the light,

Peridots eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.

There was a bunch of cool things.

There was a bubble lamp with plastic fish!

There were interactive lights, fun seating,

Fun toys.

And most importantly, a window with blackout curtains!

Peridot ran inside the room, excited as hell.

"STEVEN, STEVEN LOOK! FISH!"

Peridot exclaimed.

"They're just plastic peridot."

Steven laughed, coming in and shutting the door.

"Woah what's this??" Peridot pushed a big button on the wall, the whole board light up with other colors. It was a memory game.

She is great at memory games.

Peridot sat there for about an hour,

Mesmerized by the entire room.

"You ready to head back yet, peridot?"

Steven asked, rubbing his eyes and yawning.

"Yeah I guess so.." peridot sighed, kicking the ground.

Steven laughed and opened the door for her.

"Thanks" she said.

"Mhm." Steven replied.

As they headed back, the gems weren't in there, but Dr Maheswaran was.

Steven knocked on the door, peridot being confused as she was too short to look into the window.

"What's the hold up?" Peridot asked, still hyper.

"They're not in there." Steven replied.

"Oh." Peridot said.

Dr Maheswaran opened the door.

"Oh Steven! You're probably looking for the gems, right?" Dr Maheswaran asked.

"Yeah." Steven sighed.

"Well, I transferred amethyst to the psych unit upstairs, the gems are with her. Also Connie asked me to tell you to look at your phone." Dr Maheswaran laughed, walking back in the room.

Steven pulled out his phone.

"20 missed calls from Connie?" Steven said loudly.

"Hm?" Peridot looked at his phone.

Steven texted Connie, ~hey what's up?~

-is amethyst still in the hospital?-

~yeah, sadly.~

-what's mom having her do in there, haha-

~she got transferred to the psych unit~

-long term or short term?-

~well your mom said until her arm healed. So I don't know.~

-ah, okay. Well just checking in on ya, I'm going to sleep. Night!-

Steven looked at the time, already 12am.

"Alright, let's go see Amethyst." Steven said, pulling peridot gently.
