Revenge Is Sweet Until It Isn't-Ch 13
The next morning Penelope opened her eyes and smiled, she still couldn't believe it, she was engaged to Derek Michael Morgan, sure their was no ring on her finger but that's because she had asked him, she smiled as she remembered asking the love of her life to marry her. Her hand then slid down to her stomach, she sighed and said, "not exactly the way I wanted to have a baby buttttt I guess God had other plans for us little one".
She was pulled from her thoughts when she heard a knock at her door, she looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was around 9:00, since the team had done two back to back cases they were off for few days so that they could get some much needed rest. Penelope then threw the covers back and made her way through her beaded curtain and headed to her front door, she smiled as she looked through the peep hole and saw Derek standing there.
Derek was all smiles as she opened the door, he leaned down and gently pressed his lips against hers and said, "gooddddd morning future Mrs. Derek Michael Morgan", she giggled and said, "and good morning to you my future husband". She stepped back and said, "come in, come in" and she watched as he walked by her and stepped into her apartment, after shutting the door she turned around and gasped as she saw Derek on the floor on one knee with a small black box in his hand.
He blew out a deep breath and said, "I want to do this right", she felt her heart racing as she watched him open the little box, inside it was an amazing 3 carat diamond ring, tears started streaming down her cheeks. Derek said, "Penelope Grace Garcia, will you do me the honor of marrying me and spending the rest of your life with me?", she nodded her head and said, "yes, yes, yes Derek" as he took the ring out of the box and slid it onto her finger.
Derek then stood up and said, "I love you baby girl", she said, "and i love you" as his lips descended on hers in a loving but oh so passionate kiss, when they pulled apart his hand slid down to her stomach and said, "hello in there little one, I'm your daddy and I can promise you that me, your momma and the rest of our family will spoil you completely rotten".
Penelope wiped the tears away that were streaming down her cheeks and said, "that's right little one, you weren't planned, well not yet at least but we couldn't love you more", Derek said, "you said it baby girl, you said it". He then wrapped his arms around her waist and said, "are you sure that you're ready to get married so fast?", she nodded her head and said, "I'm sure, I can't wait to marry you angel fish, you are the love of my life and I can't wait to see what the future holds in store of us".
Derek leaned in and gently pressed his lips against hers and when they pulled apart he said, "well then let's get this show on the road, go get dressed and let's get hitched", she laughed and saluted him and said, "yes sir, hotstuff sir". As she walked away he swatted her on the butt and said, "you're gonna pay for that later goddess", she glanced over her shoulder and said, "I look forward to it handsome", he stood watching as she walked through her beaded curtain to get dressed.
Across town Savannah stood looking at herself in the mirror, how could things have ended up like this, how could things have gone so wrong, she was suppose to be the one pregnant with Derek's baby, not her, not Penelope. Her hand slid down to her stomach and she said, "I know that you didn't do anything wrong little one but I just can't, I can't have you, I can't have another mans baby, not when I know in my heart that Derek is the only man for me".
She grabbed her phone and called Shauna and after a few rings she heard, "hi Vannah, how are you today?", Savannah said, "I've made a decision", Shauna said, "and what's your decision?", Savannah said, "I can't do it, I can't have this baby, I can't have Sam's baby". Shauna said, "so you've decided to" and Savannah finished her sentence and said, "to get rid of it, yes, yes I have", Shauna said, "you know that I'll stand behind you no matter what you decide but what about Sam, have you told him?", she said, "I did, I told him last night".
Shauna then listened as Savannah explained about running into Sam last night and how he asked her not to get rid of the baby, Shauna bit down on her bottom lip and said, "why don't you take some more time and think about it, sure the baby you're carrying isn't Derek's but this baby is part you". Savannah said, "don't you think I know that, I just don't think that I can have this baby knowing that it belongs to a man that isn't Derek".
Shauna said, "I understand but" and Savannah said, "please Shauna, please just be my friend right now", she said, "always Vannah, always", Savannah said, "can you please go with me for my appointment?", Shauna said, "I sure will, just let me know when and I'm there". Savannah smiled and said, "thank you, I'll make the appointment and then let you know", Shauna said, "alright, but please just think about what you're doing", Savannah said, "I will, I will" and a few seconds later their call ended.
Savannah sighed and her hand slid back down to her stomach, she rubbed her stomach and said, "what if you're my only chance of having a baby, can I really do this, can I really destroy my child?", she laid her phone down on the table and sat down on the couch. She laid her head down on the back of the couch and closed her eyes to think, to think about what was best for her and her future.
