Chapter 43
Since Serena has been forgiven by Ash, she is also shown around the newly built Sevestar Region. Because of Serena's role as the Kalos Queen, he doesn't let her become one of the Gym Leaders or the Elite Four members, but she has been getting along with the others. They talk about fashion, trends, and also stuff with the others, and Serena is amazed to learn how Ash helps them out. Serena also hangs out with Mark much more often, to the extent that they are dating.
And both Ash and Alice are also battling Skyla, the Flying Leader of the Unova Region. Ash is glad to see that she's into battling instead of going for air battles that only determine the battle result using type matchups. This time she doesn't use Unfezant, but besides Swoobat and Swanna, she uses Sigilyph and Skarmory to battle. This time Pikachu manages to beat Swanna's Counter Shield and defeat all four Pokemon, earning the sixth badge.
Since Brycen resigns as the Gym Leader, Ash and Alice head to Opelucid City for the seventh badge. Iris, the current Unova Champion, is also there watching the match, and Ash doesn't mind her seeing the match, since she should know that Drayden has no match against his team. Drayden uses Altaria, Druddigon, Flygon, and Haxorus to battle, and Ash goes with Ninetales and Milotic.
"Milotic, use Blizzard!" Ash yells as the Pokemon shoots out the giant blizzard, which causes the Druddigon to faint. Since Drayden has lost all the Pokemon, the winner goes to Ash.
"Well done, Ash. You won this Legend Badge." Drayden says as he hands over the badge to Ash.
"Thank you, Mr. Drayden." Ash says, and then he notices how Iris walks towards him. "What do you want?"
"Ash...I know I have been rude to you a lot of years ago...but I want to say, you did great in this match..." Iris says. "I am looking forward to the Champion Match...and...I just hope you can forgive me then..."
Ash says, "I can try, but I have no promises."
Iris nods as she leaves the gym, and Alice says, "So are you going to forgive her?"
"I don't know." Ash sighs. "But I can only say that time will tell."
Drayden says, "Ash and Alice. Is it possible that you to come with me to the Dragon Village? Elder and I have something to ask you."
Ash and Alice nod as they follow him, once they arrive at the Elder's Place, they are having a seat as Ash asks, "So Elder, Drayden, what is this about?"
Elder says, "We have a special sense of judging people thanks to being with the dragons. And we saw it, you were afraid of the past, right? My child?"
Ash nods and says, "Yes, Team Rocket really destroyed my life back then by turning everyone against me. Which is why I don't want to meet a lot of people, but I want to challenge the League."
Drayden says, "Seeing the both of you reminds me of Red and Valerie. You two were just like them..."
"You know our parents?" Alice asks.
"Or rather their disguises, known as Shin and Pauline." Elder says. "They were the strongest Dragon Duo: Known as the Dragon Prince and the Dragon Princess. They were able to tame the fiercest dragons in the world."
Ash says, "I think I have read about the lore...The Dragon Prince and the Dragon Princess...they were born from the Dragon Clans in the Unova Region and they wield the mightiest dragons in the whole world..."
"It doesn't need to be born from the Dragon Clans, Red and Valerie prove it otherwise." Elder says. "They are a legend in the village as well as the Opelucid City, but right now they are gone..."
Ash and Alice can see the sadness in Elder's eyes. Then the elder says, "That is why we have a request for you."
Elder then takes them to a room, inside the room, there is a sword and a wand. "Is this..." Alice asks in surprise.
"Yes," Drayden shows the picture to them. "They are the weapons that were chosen by the dragons. Red and Valerie as Shin and Pauline use these to stop the rampage of the dragons and save the towns a lot of times with the harmony of Dragon."
Elder says, "Now go on, you should see if you are able to tame it."
Ash and Alice touch the weapons as they glow a blue and pink light respectively, and then they form a bond and Ash says, "Amazing..."
"It seems you two can be the new Shin and Pauline." Drayden says with a smile.
"Indeed. The weapons are yours and we hope you can help us in the future with the duty of Dragon Prince and Dragon Princess."
Ash and Alice nod. "We will."
After bringing the weapons back to Sevestar Island, Ash and Alice are now wearing some sort of prince and princess outfits, their hair is both black, and they are wearing dragon masks and red capes.
"How do I look as Pauline?" Alice asks Ash, who smiles and says, "That sure is a nice outfit, Alice. I mean, you really look like a Dragon Princess."
"You too Ash. You really are a Dragon Prince." Alice says.
Arceus and Pikachu are also watching them, as Arceus asks, "I must say, both of your disguises look interesting."
"I know...and Arceus...I think it is time that we choose some Dragon-type Pokemon for our use." Ash says.
"We already have a bunch of Dragon Types, including pseudo-Legendary Pokemon. I think there are only a few of them left... How about we prove ourselves to be the real dragon tamers by bonding them in their most ferocious form?" Alice asks.
"That sounds like a hard challenge..." Ash says. "But it will be interesting to try it out."
Arceus says, "That sounds like a good plan, but it is not going to be that easy."
"We know." Ash says.
A month later, the news of the Dragon Prince and Dragon Princess spread out to the whole world, as they are seen calming the dragons that are on rampages around the world. A lot of Dragon-type leaders, except for Drayden who already knows the truth, want to challenge the so-called Dragon Prince and Dragon Princess, but they weren't able to find them as they move very fast.
And while they are doing their jobs as the Dragon Prince and Dragon Princess, Ash also challenges the final Gym in Humilau City, a Water Type Gym that Ash hasn't faced before. Marlon uses Wailord, Mantine, Carracosta, and Jellicent to battle, while Ash wins by using Pikachu, Serperior, and Trevenant.
Now everyone is at Sevestar Island, as they are watching how Reisa, Ash, and Alice are working on a new song. Reisa says, "By the way, I heard that you managed to get your final badge in the Unova Region, congratulations."
"Thanks, Marlon is not an easy opponent to beat. I'm glad I have the Wave Badge in the end." Ash says.
"By the way, have you guys heard the news?" Serena asks, "The news of the Dragon Duo. They tried to calm a Dragonite from destroying Dragon Holy Land in Johto, but just when Clair wants to challenge them to a battle, they were already left."
"I have heard about this Dragon Duo: They have traveled around the regions to stop Dragons on a rampage. But nobody is able to see what's under the masks..." Eve says.
"We also wear masks." Reisa says. "Because we don't want everyone to know our true identities, I am sure that the Dragon Duo is the same."
Valerie is in deep thought, and Delia asks, "Something mattered?"
"19 years ago, Red and I were the former Dragon Prince and the Dragon Princess." Valerie says, and this catches everyone's attention. Ash and Alice then use the chance to leave and disguise themselves as the Dragon Duo.
"Our names are Shin and Pauline, and we were the Dragon Prince and Dragon Princess, the title was gained from the Dragon Village in Unova as we can tame the fiercest dragons in the world. But right now Red was gone...and like my other disguises, I am not in the mood for doing it."
"But you are a Fairy-type Leader, it is hard to think that the Dragon Slayer is the true Dragon Master..." Rosa says.
"Not to mention, you also married Uncle Wulfric, Ice-types are also the worst enemy for Dragon-types." Bryce says. "I guess what happened to your parents affected you a lot..."
"That was just half correct." Valerie says. "The reason I choose Fairy-type for my gym is that I am a Fashion Designer for old traditional clothing, and Fairy-types' mysterious vibes work well with it."
"I can tell." Serena says, "All of them are really amazing."
"Then does that mean Ash and Alice know this and they are going to follow in your footsteps once again?" Lillie asks, and then they realize Ash and Alice are already gone.
Flora asks, "Hey, where did they go?"
Then they hear the roars of the Dragons, and they rush towards the sounds, only to see a couple of dragons falling to the floor. Ash says, "Thank you for training with us."
"Indeed. You guys are strong, but we just have the upper hand." Alice says as they put away their aura weapons. The two of them notice the others as they walk towards them.
Alice asks, "How do I look, mother?"
Valerie smiles at her daughter and says, "All I can see is a younger me dressing up like a Dragon Princess, and a younger Red dressing as a Dragon Prince. So it was really the two of you all along."
"What? You are the Dragon Duo?" The others are surprised, and Ash says, "That's right. I am Shin, and this is Pauline. They will be our Dragon-type disguises."
"But why were you becoming the Dragon Duo again?" Mark asks, "I mean, they look really cool, but why are you trying to be like them?"
"The truth is, we were asked by the Opelucid Gym Leader: Drayden, and the elder of the Dragon Village." Ash says. "They told us the lore of the Dragon Prince and the Dragon Princess, and they even give us the test."
"Wait, you mean the test to use the Dragon Prince's Sword and the Dragon Princess' Wand?" Valerie asks in surprise, and both Ash and Alice take out the said weapons from their bag.
"Those are real deals..." Nate gasps in shock. "They are not made of aura..."
"You're right about that." Ash says. "They are real weapons, with these weapons, even the rampaging dragons have to listen to our command."
"Can we hold it as well?" Lillie asks, and Alice says, "Sorry, only those who are chosen can wield them."
By proving this, Ash puts the sword on the ground, and Mark tries to grab it, but no matter how hard he tries, he can't lift the sword from the ground. Ash lifts the sword with ease, and Mark says, "I guess that proves we can't use it..."
Ash says with a sigh, "Sorry about that... we still need to find some more Dragons since we only have a few of them with us."
"You might be right about that." Alice says.
And here is a new chapter, this chapter is heavily based on a story that was my favorite in the Fanfiction net. And I show Ash and Alice's eighth disguise in this chapter.
