Chapter 45
Once the class is over, Ash and Alice bring Drandon and Lucine to the empty classroom. Ash asks, "So Drandon, Lucine. I want to ask, do you have any parents? If we are going for training, I suggest you talk to them first."
Lucine frowns and says, "We don't have parents, they were gone when we were little...Our parents abandoned us because we weren't supposed to be born...our mother was kind of a slut..."
Drandon says, "We weren't from Unova in the first place...we were actually from Johto, Blackthorn City to be precise...because of our mother's evil doings like sleeping with men without any shame, we were being thought of as the Cursed Children. We were being booed everywhere, without any help or any rescue..."
"I see...so the thing I was sensing in the heart was darkness..." Ash frowns.
"We were motivated by the Legend of Dragon Duo, that's why we had come to this Unova Region..." Lucine says. "We struggled a lot to come here, Drandon partook in a lot of tournaments to earn enough money to bring us here."
"And Drayden learned about what happened to us, that's why we are in this school...but you knew how people looked at us...we were homeless, and we declared to become your students...and...we got bullied..." Lucine frowns.
"I see..." Ash says, also feeling a part of himself inside the two of them. "Then let me ask you a question. Have you ever thought of dealing revenge on those people who wronged you?"
Drandon shakes his head and says, "We will never do that because we are no better than them if we do so."
Ash and Alice look at each other and smile, he says, "Well done, Drandon and Lucine. I think it is time that we reveal our true identity to you."
This causes them to be confused, but when Ash and Alice glow, both Drandon and Lucine are shocked to see who they are. "The World Champion and his wife..." Drandon recognizes them and asks, "Ash and Alice...you are the Dragon Prince Shin and Dragon Princess Pauline?"
"But I thought..." Lucine mutters.
Ash and Alice reveal that the first Dragon Prince Shin and Dragon Princess Pauline are actually their parents and that they are trying to follow in their footsteps. Ash says, "We have met a lot of people who are in the same shoes as you two, that's why we are going to help you out. Join us, and we can help you become better Dragon-type specialists. You can prove those people wrong by becoming strong."
Drandon and Lucine are now delighted, this is even better than training under the Dragon Prince and Dragon Princess. With the help of Latias and Latios, both of them are taken to Sevestar Island.
"Where are we?" Drandon asks as he looks around the island. Ash says, "This is the Sevestar Island, it is a place where we're living. Our project is to make it a region, and since both of you are Dragon-type users, we want you to become this region's final Elite Four member and the Dragon-type Gym Leader."
"You mean both of us can become the Gym Leader like Drayden, or the Elite Four member like Drake from Hoenn?" Lucine gasps in shock.
"Of course." Alice says, and then they hear a lot of people coming out from the castle. Eve says, "Looks like you're back from Opelucid City."
"And it seems you bring two new students." Reisa says.
Drandon and Lucine are a little concerned as they take a step back, Ash says, "You don't need to fear them, they are also fellow members who live in this Sevestar Island. Everyone, I want you two to meet Drandon and Lucine, they specialize in Dragon-types."
Alice and Ash tell them about what happened to the two of them, and they are gasping in shock. Flora says, "That's what happened to both of you combined! I can see why you're bringing them here..."
Mark says, "I must say that what you did is a good choice, Brother."
Ash turns to Drandon and Lucine as he says, "Drandon, Lucine. This Sevestar Region is going to be your new home, you don't need to worry about other people bullying you or badmouthing you, since on this island, we are the only ones here, and we have similar bad experiences that make us close to each other."
Alice adds, "Now first, can you please show us a battle?"
"Why?" Lucine can only ask, and Ash says, "Because one of you will be the Gym Leader while the other one will be the Elite Four member. We can only pick who becomes it by having you two battle with each other."
"I guess that's fair." Drandon says.
As everyone watches the two of them battle, they see that both of them only have 5 Pokemon. Drandon has Appletun, Turtonator, Duraludon, Goodra, and Dragapult, while Lucine has Exeggutor, Tyrantrum, Garchomp, Dragalge, and Noivern. With Drandon becoming the victor, he becomes the Elite Four member while Lucine becomes the Gym Leader.
"I guess it is fair enough." Lucine says, "After all, you are my brother and you have been taking care of me, not the other way around..."
"Don't say short of yourself." Drandon says. "You also take good care of me, it is just I am very overprotective of you."
Ash and Alice smile at both siblings, and they decide to start the training.
With Drandon and Lucine living in the Sevestar Island with them, Ash and Arceus decide to give them two Pokemon: Reshiram for Lucine, and Zekrom for Drandon. They are also taken to the Dragon Trial on Poni Island for the Z Crystal, fortunately, there are no trial captains there, so Ash doesn't have to explain the reasons for them to take the trial. And Ash also captures a Jangmo-o, with some training, it becomes a powerful Kommo-o.

Drandon asks, "So how many Dragon Pokemon do you actually have in your team?"

The first one that he shows is Dragonite, who is hugging Ash and Alice at the same time. Alice says, "This Dragonite is really affectionate."
"Yeah, and he's also one of the Pokemon who helped me win the World Championships." Ash says.
"I remember." Lucine says. "But it is awesome to see it up close, I think there was also a Dracovish that you used in the Tournament as well."

"Yeah, this Garchomp was a Gible that I caught during my Sinnoh Journey." Ash says while carefully bringing away the Garchomp. "At first it tries to learn Draco Meteor, but it always failed..."
"How come?" Lucine asks.
Garchomp suddenly starts to do the Draco Meteor, much to Ash and the other's surprise, and once the meteor goes to the air, it only becomes one and is falling.
"Was that supposed to be Draco Meteor?" Drandon asks.
"You have no idea." Ash sighs.
"But where is it going to land?" Alice asks.
"Probably where Dawn is at..." Ash shakes his head.
In the Sinnoh Region, Dawn was training her Pokemon for the Contests, when she hears Piplup's scream. "Piplup! Are you alright?" She notices that Piplup is lying on the ground with swirls on its eyes.
Ash says, "You see, every time it does that it always hit Piplup no matter what. Sometimes it is annoying, but sometimes it is good for locating the penguin Pokemon."
"Okay..." Alice says. "That sure is weird. But I also remember that Cynthia also has a Garchomp and you beat hers using Mega Lucario."
"Yeah. Although I wished it would be Mega Lucario instead of Dynamaxing Togekiss..." Ash says.
Garchomp: Ability: Rough Skin/Sand Force (Mega). Moves: Take Down, Dig, Sandstorm, Draco Meteor, Dragon Rush, Crunch
Then they head to the Kalos section, and they find Goodra, who is also training with Noivern. Drandon says, "Oh yeah, you used both Noivern and Goodra at the Kalos League as well."
"Yeah. Goodra was a Goomy when I found him. His home was attacked by Florges and a swarm of Bug Type Pokemon. He escaped from a Swanna and landed on top of me. After trying to learn what the deal is, he eventually joined our team so that he could be as strong as Pikachu."
Ash also puts his hand on Goodra, and he says, "And as a Pseudo Legendary, he evolved really quickly. After the Courmarine Gym, it evolves into a Sliggoo to fight against a Grumpig, and then not long after it evolves into Goodra."
"How did you get 10 levels so fast? Not to mention it is 40 to 50, not 1 to 10." Lucine asks.
"Maybe Goomy was already in the Level forties and was not ready to evolve." Alice says. "That might be the reason."
"As for this Noivern, I found it as an egg just after my gym battle against Alice's Mom." Ash says. "Hawlucha found it and we thought that it was abandoned. And it hatched just when I take it from Hawlucha. Thanks to Talonflame's ability Flame Body, it hatches very fast."
"Noivern is also a hard Pokemon to train especially if you need to level it to 48." Drandon says.
"Yeah, thanks to a battle with Zapdos that it happened." Ash says.
Then they also notice two Zygarde cells lying on the grass. Drandon says, "Are those Zygardes? The Legendary Pokemon?"
"Oh, this is Squishy and Z2. They used to be targets of Team Flare." Ash says. "Zygarde has three different forms, the 10% form, the 50% form, and the 100% form."
"Even though we weren't at the scene, I heard from Mom and Dad that Team Flare tried to use Zygarde to destroy the Kalos Region, and Champion Diantha managed to gather all the Gym Leaders to fight back."
"That's so cool." Lucine says. Squishy and Z2 finally woke up and they hop towards Ash and Alice. "Oh, you're finally awake?"
"Heard your voices. So they are your new friend?" Z2 asks.
"Yeah, this is Drandon and Lucine. They are siblings who like Dragon Types." Ash says.
Squishy and Z2 nod as they greet the two Dragon Type users, then they also go back to rest while Ash and Alice also bring them to the other Dragon Type Pokemon.
Goodra: Ability: Hydration. Moves: Bide, Aqua Tail, Muddy Water, Power Whip, Dragon Pulse, Outrage
Zygarde: Ability: Aura Break (10%), Power Construct (50%/Complete). Moves: Camouflage, Coil, Land's Wrath, Thousand Arrows, Thousand Waves, Core Enforcer
