"I'm sorry to say I am not going to take the Unova Champion to my friend." Ash says, causing Iris to be surprised as Ash calls her a friend. "She can continue to become the Champion."
"I understand, so where are you going to battle next?" Goodshow asks.
"My next stop is going to be Hoenn Region." Ash says. "You can tell Wallace and the other Hoenn Leaders to prepare because I am going to win every one of them just like how I have done to the Unova Region."
Goodshow can only nod as he leaves, when Ash, Alice, and Iris are the only ones in the stadium, Iris asks, "Ash...I want to ask you a question."
Ash says, "If you're going to ask about what I just said, I did say that you are my friend, and I want you to continue being the Unova Champion. I know how you like Pokemon and how you are capable of doing this."
Iris nods and she asks, "But I want to know...back when we are at Opelucid Gym..."
