Chapter 49
When they are back at Sevestar Island, Delia and Valerie hug their children and Valerie asks, "We heard from Delia about you doing your first mission. Did you get hurt?"
"We didn't, thanks for asking by the way." Ash says while turning to his mother. "But I have some answers that I need to know."
He takes out the doll that Sabrina gave him, and he says, "Mother, I am glad that you sent Sabrina to help us out since Psychics wouldn't be affected by Dark Aura and I would be mad if it is others."
"I know, at first I was about to ask Koga, but then again, ninjas are still affected by Dark Aura, so I think Sabrina is the best choice." Delia says.
"And she uses her powers of changing people into dolls to change Buried Alive into a doll...but as we check the doll, it looks like this." Ash hands over the doll as Delia looks at it with surprise.
Mark looks at the doll and he asks, "Mother, why does this doll look just like us?"
Before Delia can reply, Ash asks, "Mother! Please tell me...this doll...is it Golly?"
"Calm down, Ash! I am wondering the same thing as well...But how is it possible?" Delia asks.
"Who is this Golly person, and what are you hiding from me?" Mark says, starting to get annoyed.
Alice sighs and says, "I have heard from Ash about this...Golly is Ash's twin sister, right?"
"I have a sister?" Mark asks in shock. "And she was dead?"
"Golly was killed when Team Rocket attacked my husband and my wedding." Delia cries a little, "She was just 3 years old...Team Rocket killed her in cold blood...we have to bury her in the Pokemon Tower...but how come it has become a monster known as Buried Alive?"
"Buried Alive is a monster that lures victims into the tower and then devours them...they only appear once per month..." Ash says. "Maybe it is because of the fact that Golly was just a three-year-old child, the soul has been corrupted in Pokemon Tower?"
"If that's the case...how are we going to purify a corrupted soul?" Alice asks.
Ash and Alice think that maybe Arceus has ideas, so they decide to ask him for help. After finding him training with Palkia in a part of the area, he brings the doll to him and tells him everything. Arceus says, "I see...so she is your twin sister."
"So Arceus, do you know how to purify her soul? Even though it is corrupted, she is still my sister." Ash says.
Arceus sighs as he tries to summon Giratina, and just then, not one but two Giratina appear from the portal. One of the Giratina recognizes Ash as he goes towards him.
"It's great to see you again as well, Giratina." Ash says.
As for the second Giratina, it seems to be hostile towards Arceus, but Arceus doesn't seem to be fazed. Alice asks, "Why are there two Giratina?"
The friendly one sighs, "That is my twin brother. He doesn't really like Father Arceus because of how he was banished. I was different, I volunteered to stay at the Distortion world."
"Yeah, I know about that." Ash says. "So I guess you're here to join my team as well?"
"I would do that after we finish what Arceus asked us." Giratina says.
"Indeed, so care to explain about your Chosen One?" Arceus asks, causing the hostile Giratina to widen his eyes.
"Hold on a second." Ash turns to the hostile Giratina and asks, "You mean Golly was your Chosen One? What is going on?"
The hostile Giratina sighs and says, "Before we met in Sinnoh 10 years ago...let's say that Arceus and I hold grudges with each other. Each of us picks a Chosen One to see who will become the greatest. Arceus chose you, and I chose your twin sister. Unfortunately, those Team Rocket grunts killed my Chosen One..."
"Hold on..." Alice asks, "You said you have a grudge against Arceus? Why is that?"
The friendly Giratina says, "He had the big idea of creating the Ultra Wormholes and Ultra Beasts out of fun, and it caused a lot of destruction because of their violent behaviors. Father Arceus decides to punish him by locking the Ultra Wormholes from the earth, and my brother was banished to the Reverse side of the world. I volunteered to stay there, but unlike my brother, I could come out whenever I want, except for that time when Dialga tried to lock me in my own world."
"Yeah, and you need Shaymin to free you." Ash says.
The hostile Giratina lowers his head and says, "I was really mad because my Chosen One was just killed like that, so I went to her tomb and changed her soul into a monster...if she managed to devour 500 souls, she will be back to a living being."
"So you made my sister a monster?" Ash says with anger in his eyes, "How could you do that to an innocent soul like my sister!"
The hostile Giratina just lowers his head, and Arceus says, "That is enough. Tell me, Giratina. How many souls did your Chosen One devour?"
"489..." Giratina mutters.
"So that means she only needs 11 more souls to devour..." Delia gasps in horror. "But what if she returned as a living being? What would she become?"
Lillie says, "I think I have heard about this in a book...The monsters like to devour people and Pokemon not because they are tasty, but because they want to become human again, and their desire will also corrupt their minds, and after they're revived, they will either become killers or murderers because that's what they're comfortable to do."
"We can't let Golly suffer like that!" Ash yells. "Tell us if there's another way to purify her!"
Before anyone can say anything, they hear a voice, "I can help you with that."
They turn around to see Xerneas, the Life Pokemon. Arceus nods and says, "Indeed. Xerneas is the life Pokemon, she will be able to create a body for her. Then I'll transfer the soul inside and she will be alive again."
"Really? Is that even possible?" Mark asks, and Arceus says, "Xerneas and Yveltal are Legendary Pokemon of Life and Death. And Xerneas can revive a soul using its move Geomancy."
"But the main problem is her soul...would she be evil because she has already devoured 489 souls according to Giratina..." Eve asks.
Xerneas says, "I am not sure about that...if only under 100 souls, my Fairy Aura could purify it. But now she has already eaten 489...I can try..."
Arceus says, "Giratina, you should know the whole thing is your fault. If something happened to your Chosen One, you'll have to take full responsibility for it."
"I know." Giratina says, "I also owe your Chosen One a lot, that's why I would not want something happening to her as well."
When they are doing so, Ash has a question flash into his mind, "If you can do that, does that mean we can use the same method to free our Dad?"
The friendly Giratina shakes his head and says, "I'm afraid that isn't possible. We can revive her because we have her soul, your Dad's soul is already far gone in the Spirit World, reviving him is impossible."
Ash frowns, as he really wants his family to be whole again. When Xerneas stop glowing, everyone is surprised to see a female body on the ground.
Arceus asks Xerneas, "How are you feeling right now?"
"Tired, but not enough to force me into a deep sleep like last time in Alereath Forest." Xerneas sighs. "Pardon me that I need to leave. I'm sure the next time we'll meet, I'll be ready to let you capture me."
Ash and Alice can only sigh before watching Xerneas gallop away. Eve, with her face blushing red, says, "Um...I am not sure if I am the only one who noticed this...but can we try to get some clothes for her first?"
Ash and the others realize that Golly was still naked even though she is still unconscious. All of them are blushing bright red, and the girls are trying to cover the boys' eyes, except for Ash, and they quickly go to the closest to grab some of the D&W products for her to wear. Alice and Flora are the main ones who helped the unconscious girl wearing the clothes.
While they are doing this, Arceus checks her mind and he says, "The darkness of being killed by Team Rocket is still in her mind, I don't think that will make her do something nasty. I guess it will be fine for her."
"But her mind is still that of a three-year-old..." The friendly Giratina says. "Surely she has to be 21 years old like Ash right now."
Arceus has summoned Uxie to use its powers to let basic knowledge fill inside Golly's brain. It is true that she still has a lot to learn, but she doesn't have that much time to do so.
With Flora and Alice's help, Golly is now wearing a blue jacket with a black T-shirt, a red skirt, black socks, and white sneakers. And after a short amount of time, she slowly wakes up for the first time after her death. Ash says, "She is waking up..."
"Don't kill me..." Golly screams as she then looks around, only to see a lot of people as she takes a breath. Delia was the one by her side as she asks, "Golly, are you alright?"
"That voice... Mom? Is that you?" Golly gasps as she hugs her. "I thought I had a dream...bad people with spooky Pokemon come and killed me...I thought I was trapped..."
"You did, but your brother saved you." Golly gasps as she sees Ash also there, then she looks at her mature body and his brother, she says, "How long has it been?"
"It has been 18 years, but I'm glad that I have you back again." Ash says, and they share a hug. Golly smiles and says, "I'm glad to be able to see you again as well."
Delia also joins in the hug, and the others decide to leave them alone since it is their big moment. Golly doesn't know why, but she has a lot of knowledge flowing in her mind, and she can also talk fluently and understand each of the words means.
"So I was killed when I was 3 years old, but now I'm revived as a 21-year-old girl?" Golly asks.
"Yes, although there might be a memory gap, but that was fixed since Uxie is the knowledge Pokemon and he gave you the knowledge equal to the 21-year-old person." Ash says.
"I see..." Golly says. Then she also notices the hostile Giratina and Arceus. "Giratina and Arceus? What are they doing here?"
Arceus says, "This guy right here turned you into a monster after your death. So as a punishment, he's going to be your Pokemon. I want to know if you want to take him?"
Golly says, "Of course I do. I really like Giratina. But I think I need some basics of being a Pokemon Trainer..."
Ash says, "I can teach you with that. After all, we're family."
Golly nods before both Giratina give the siblings each of their Pokeballs.
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, Golly has come into the story and we have a reunion. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the continuation of capturing Ghost Type Pokemon.
