Chapter 51
It is time for Ash to challenge the Hoenn League, and his first stop is Rustboro City and facing Roxanne, the Rock Type Gym Leader. Roxanne uses Golem and Probopass to fight against Ash, and Ash uses Medicham and Sceptile to beat her in the end, winning the Stone Badge.
While they're battling, Alice also notices that Steven Stone and a boy are watching the battle. Since the boy looks like Steven, so she deduces that the boy is actually his son. The two of them didn't get to watch the full battle because they are heading back to Devon Corps, so Ash didn't get to talk to them.
And in Dewford Town, Ash battles Brawly and he uses Hariyama, Medicham, and Machamp to battle, thanks to Mark, Brawly does give Ash a harder challenge, but Ash still wins the battle in the end and gets the Knuckle Badge. And after the gym battle, they all have a big feast at FS resort to celebrate the second win of the Hoenn Gyms.
Although they want to continue their gym battles, they are immediately called to the International Police by their mother. After getting the mission, they head to Pokestar Studios in the Unova Region, where a famous idol named Yancy Ruri is having a fan meeting in the area. Ash says, "So what is the task? Golly?"
"According to Mom, she received a mocking letter from the culprit, who is actually a serial killer that kills idols and he already killed six. He states that he is going to kill Yancy, the famous idol, at 10:30, which is 12 minutes from now. What is our plan?" Golly asks.
"One of us has to shield Yancy from the bullet or weapons that the terrorist might be using, and the other two will need to kill the terrorist since he has been on the loose for several years." Alice says.
"Okay, then I'll be the one shielding, you two go to kill the terrorist." Ash says, and the two nod as Ash moves swiftly behind the stage.
Then after 12 minutes, the gunshot is heard and then Ash rushes on stage and pushes Yancy out of the way, causing the bullet to miss and tear a hole in the back of the stage. This causes the fans to scream in terror as they start to run away from the scene. Ash asks, "Ms. Yancy, are you alright?"
"What just happened?" Yancy asks in surprise and fear since Ash's appearance is terrifying for her.
"We are from the International Police." Ash shows her the police badge. "And we have a threatening letter from a famous serial killer, who states that he is going to kill you in 10:30."
Yancy is now terrified that someone wants to kill her, and Ash quickly takes out the radio and says, "Yancy is safe here, have you found the culprit?"
Alice and Golly see the brown coat person running and Alice says, "We found the target, his mission failed and he is trying to get away."
"We can't let him escape this time, use the weapons now!" Ash yells as Golly says, "Roger that, Brother."
Golly takes out the rope and grabs the culprit in the arm, the man clicked his tongue and Golly says, "Surrender or being killed, which do you want?"
"I am not going to take either option. Mess with me and you are going to die!" The man then takes out his gun with the other hand, he tries to shoot them, but Golly takes out the Shield and blocks it.
"I won't do it if I were you. Your fate has decided." Golly says as Alice's eyes are now glowing yellow, causing the man's memories to be taken into a bottle, then Golly uses the knife to slash his throat, causing him to fall limp onto the ground.
"Mission success." Alice says as she grabs the bottle.
"Good." Ash says. "Now we must get the memory to our boss." Then Ash turns to Yancy, who is being helped by her manager. Ash tells the manager about the situation and he agrees to take the idol to safety.
And before they return to the headquarters, Ash and Alice decide to capture some Ghost Type in Unova. With the time limit, they only capture a Yamask at the Desert Resort, and then a Litwick at the Celestial Tower.
Back at the headquarters, Delia is looking at the memory files and then she says, "You three did a good job. The culprit has also been an assassin like you, but we aren't able to find him and deal with him for years."
"It is nothing." Ash says. "So no more missions for now?"
Delia says, "You can go now, Ash, Alice, Golly."
As they head out of the office, they see Lance looking at them with surprise. Both Ash and Lance just look at each other, before Lance enters the office. Alice asks, "I thought Lance was a part of the G-men..."
"G-men are also a part of the International police, as they were sent to the government of the regions as special agents. But some of them are corrupted by political power..." Ash says. "That's why I really hate them."
At the same time, Lance walks into the office and asks, "What were Ash and his girlfriend doing here?"
Delia says, "They are working with us as assassins, we have given them the code name Kageyama and Raven."
"Ash? As an assassin?" Lance gasps in shock. "Why? I thought he wouldn't resort to something like kill..."
"It's an old tradition inside of my family, something that I don't like to talk about. Not to mention Team Rocket incident caused him to change a lot, and I don't blame him." Delia says. "Now we are not here to talk about them, we are here because of the other G-men."
Lance sighs as he listens to what Delia has to say.
When Ash, Alice, and Golly return to Sevestar Island, they change their ninja-like outfits to their causal ones. Eve says, "We saw the news...the terrorist tried to kill Yancy. How dare he try to do that?"
"Fortunately for everyone in the world, he won't be able to kill again." Alice says.
"But seriously, that was you who rushes up to the stage and pushed her out of the way?" Helen asks. "You were so cool back then."
"Thank you for the compliment." Ash says. "How about we go to FS Resort to relax? I mean, I am still challenging the Hoenn Gyms."
"That sounds nice. I mean, you were preparing with Mark for the upcoming Mauville Gym battle." Bryce says.
"You're right about that, but I want to train up with the two new Ghost Type Pokemon that we captured." Ash sends out both the Yamask and the Litwick.
"Well, we can help you with that. Although Yamask and Litwick... those two are quite dangerous." Eve says.
"I know. One can evolve into a death coffin called Cofagrigus, which eats people and turns them into a mummy. Then the other one is basically like Dusknoir, who not only sucks the life force out of the body and also drags people into the spirit world." Ash says.
The girls shiver a little at what Ash is saying, but they decide to ignore them and train the two Pokemon so they evolve into their final forms.
Cofagrigus: Ability: Mummy. Moves: Scary Face, Guard Split, Power Split, Destiny Bond, Shadow Claw, Dark Pulse
Chandelure: Ability: Flame Body. Moves: Pain Split, Flame Burst, Inferno, Smog, Confuse Ray, Hex
Then they all head to the Paldea Region because the Gym Leader Ryme is having a collab with the Colors Band for a rap. Ryme is the main star, but Ash, Alice, and Reisa are happy to play the instrumental parts for her. And Golly decides to tag along because she wants to see the famous Ghost Type Rapper.
On the stage, Ash is playing the piano, Reisa is playing the drums, and Alice is playing the guitar, the three of them try not to overlap the vocal of Ryme as she sings and raps. The crowd is cheering wildly as they really like the new song and the new collab.
"You guys sure did a great job, glad to work with you." Ryme says.
"Same here. The song was also amazing with your vocals." Ash says.
"If you need us again, you know where to call us." Reisa says as they bid farewell to each other.
Golly rushes to them and she says, "That was really awesome. I'm proud of you all."
"Thanks, Golly." Ash says. "If you don't know, the Gym Leader Ryme's sister is actually our Math teacher: Professor Tyme."
"She's not only a Rock Specialist, and she is also strict when it comes to math. But outside of her class, she is friendly and easy to get along with." Alice says.
"Wow... but that also reminds me... it seems that my mother also enrolls me into Naranja Academy as well. Director Clavell is actually a nice guy."
"I know. He helps Alice enroll in the school despite having no high school degree. I supposed that he did the same thing for you." Ash says.
"More like my Mom pulled some strings to make me enroll in the school." Golly says.
While they're going down Glaseado Mountain, they find the Greavard hiding underground trying to spook them, Ash captures it and also trains it to evolve into a Houndstone.
"And now we're going to the Area Zero." Ash says.
"Is there a Ghost Type Paradox Pokemon living there?" Alice asks. "If there is, I have to guess it is an ancient form instead of a future form. Who in the right mind will create a Ghost Type Robot?"
"You're right about that. The Pokemon we're looking for is a Flutter Mane, an ancient Misdreavus." Ash says.
"So how many Paradox Pokemon are there?" Golly asks.
"9 for Ancient and 9 for Future. We have Donphan, Jigglypuff, Amoonguss, Misdreavus, Volcarona, Magneton, Salamence, Cyclizar, and Suicune for Ancient Pokemon, and Donphan, Delibird, Hariyama, Hydreigon, Volcarona, Tyranitar, Gallade, Cyclizar, and Virizion for Future Pokemon."
"You mean Donphan, Volcarona, and Cyclizar have both Ancient and Future Forms." Reisa says.
"Yeah." Ash says.
After heading to Area Zero, they finally find the Flutter Mane in the cave area and capture it.
Houndstone: Ability: Fluffy. Moves: Double-Edge, Helping Hand, Dig, Last Respects, Phantom Force, Charm
Flutter Mane: Ability: Protosynthesis. Moves: Tera Blast (Ghost), Psyshock, Phantom Force, Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast
Once they're back on Sevestar Island, Reisa says, "So your next Gym is in Mauville City. Do you know that Mauville City is actually a giant building now?"
"Wait, seriously?" Ash asks. "When did it happen?"
"A few years ago, apparently Wattson and the Lumiose City Gym Leader Clemont are the ones who created the New Mauville City." Reisa says.
"I've heard of it, and because of it, the population in the city becomes the fourth-largest in the world, exceeding Castelia." Bryce says.
"That's cool. I can't wait to check the place out." Alice says.
"Yeah. I just don't want Wattson to do something weird in his gym again. He tries to use mecha Raikou to scare us, but with Pikachu contact with the robots, he overloads with electricity and one shot all of his Pokemon with ease." Ash says.
"Serves him right for being a prankster?" Alice asks and they all laugh a little.
And here is a new chapter, now there are only Sinnoh and Galar Ghost Type Pokemon left, and I hope you like this chapter. The next chapter will be the final Ghost Type Chapter and also the reunion of May and Max. Will Ash forgive them? Wait and see.
