Chapter 53
When Max is brought to Sevestar Island, he asks, "Ash? What is this place?"
"This is the place where I am living: Sevestar Island. This island belonged to my father, after his death, I'm the owner of this island. There is also a reason why I challenge PLA because I want to make this a region." Ash says.
"A region?!" Max gasps in shock. "Are you serious? I mean... it might be big enough to become a region, but it is still crazy..."
Alice says, "Believe it or not. The whole island is under construction, and we're also picking new Gym Leaders since we already have the spots of Elite Four."
"And that's why I want to give you a proposal. I want you to become our Fighting Type Gym Leader." Ash says.
"Me? Fighting Type Gym Leader?" Max gasps in shock. "Can I really do this? I mean, it was my dream to become a Gym Leader one day, but... my Dad told me that it isn't easy..."
"Max, I know you can help me out." Ash says. "It is not just you, everyone has the same doubts as you do, but after our training, they all seem to be fine without a problem."
Max is still in shock, before he can ask for more, Ash and Alice get a call from Queen Ilene. Since Mark and Serena are with them, Max decides to ask Mark, "Hey, Mark... I know that I've been to Rota with Ash before, but what's the relationship between Queen Ilene and you guys?"
"Queen Ilene is our aunt from our father's side." Mark says. "She is also the one who showed Ash this island and everything related to Aura."
After the call ends, Serena asks, "So what's the matter?"
Ash says, "Queen Ilene has something that he wants to give both me and Alice in the Rota Kingdom. Mark, can I give you the explanation to Max? I mean, just explain to him about the whole island and introduce him to his fellow Gym Leader friends."
"You can leave it to me." Mark says, and both Ash and Alice leave by using Teleport. Max says, "Did they just teleport without the use of Pokemon?"
"That's because they have aura." Serena says.
The two are now inside the castle as they bow to the Queen, Ash asks, "Your Highness, what can we do for you?"
"Good to see you two again, Ash, and Alice. How are things going with your disguises?" Ilene asks.
"We sure did a lot of fun stuff with them." Alice says with a nod. "So far we already have nine of them, which is also the same amount of my Mom and Ash's Dad's in the diary. Although we only use four of theirs just yet."
"I know, I heard the revival of D&W, and the deeds of Binary and Sylvan, Reukra and Namie, and even the Dragon Duo." Ilene says. "You really did act just like Red and Valerie, and it is a good thing."
Ash says, "Now back to the business. Your Highness, what is the reason that you summon us here?"
Ilene says, "You see, I notice that you keep using Teleport to go from one region to another, it must be very tiring of you to do so, right?"
Ash and Alice are confused, and Ash says, "We are tired, but we manage to eat a lot of Leppa Berries to recover our health. So I don't think it is such a big deal."

Ilene says, but the two of them are confused as they follow the queen to the airport.
The queen stops in front of the red plane and the plane has the AK151 on it. Ash and Alice gasp at the sight of the plane, as it is the same one that his father drives with Valerie according to the diary.
"Is that...AK151? My dad's own airplane?" Ash gasps. "I can't believe I can see it this close..."
Ilene says, "Ever since the relationship was found out, the plane had been staying in this kingdom. Red also asked a lot of mechanics to do maintenance and even after his death, we still upgrade a lot of things inside. Like the island, you and your mother have the right to take this plane to yourselves. And I'm sure that Delia would also want you to keep it and use it to travel the regions."
"Thank you so much..." Ash says. Then the two of them get into the plane and look at the interior, it looks really different compared to the words inside the diary, probably because most of the new engines and also buttons are upgraded so it will be much safer and more multifunctional. And there are only two pilot seats without any additional seats, which makes it really empty. Alice says, "It sure is empty...maybe we should add some interior inside..."
Ash is still processing the whole thing, he just got an empty airplane and he says, "Alice, please give me a second to process everything. I just got an airplane and right now we are thinking of what we should put inside... I don't know how to fly a plane, and I haven't taken any lessons of it as well!"
Alice also realizes what Ash is thinking about and she says, "You're right! This is a serious problem. Maybe we should ask Mom to give us some flying lessons? But then again, she hasn't been Plania for a lot of years. Safety is important after all."
Ilene says, "Don't worry, I know this is going to be a problem, so that's why I have recruited a pilot who is willing to teach you how to fly a plane. You can come out now."
When Ash and Alice turn around, they see a green-haired boy who has the same age as them leaning against the wall. The boy approaches them and gives them each a bow.
"So you must be Ash Ketchum and Alice Urup, right? I am East Mikuri and it is nice to meet you."
"Wait for a second, are you related to Wallace?" Ash asks, and he nods, "He is my father, but I haven't seen him for years since I was staying here as a pilot coach. You are quite famous in this place and I have heard the queen about the other being controlled and how my father said those mean words to you. I am really sorry that you have to endure that."
"It is fine. I have been trying the Hoenn League right now so I can prove his words wrong." Ash says, "Reisa also mentioned you a lot to us, and I can finally see the resemblance."
"Oh? I assume you two and Reisa are probably best friends, right?" East asks as Alice says, "Well, we have a band together known as the Colors. You have heard of it, right?"
"Really, I know Reisa is the person who likes to play music, but I never knew that she is now this famous with the mask on." He laughs a little. "But anyway, as per the queen's orders, I am going to teach you two how to fly this AK151. Since you already know how to sail a boat and drive a car, so I guess this is not going to be that hard for you two."
"Are you sure? I thought it is more complicated..." Ash says.
"A majority of the people have the same mindset as you." East says. "But before we begin the flying lessons, we probably should set up a seat on the plane since there will be three of us and only two seats."
Queen Ilene then asks the staff members to help set up the seat, and then the three of them go into the plane and bid farewell to Ilene. Once they are inside the plane, East has Ash sit on the pilot seat while he seats beside him, and they also manage to put a chair so Alice can sit on it.
"Are you sure you are going to let me sit in the pilot seat?" Ash asks with a little nervous tone. "Aren't we supposed to watch how you do it first?"
East says, "You see, this was what my teacher did to me when I was driving the plane for the first time in my life. So I am sure you'll be fine, now where are you heading?"
"I think we should head back to the Sevestar Island." Alice says. "But I just remembered that there is no place for the plane to land..."
"Then what about the beach? I know for sure it has enough space for the plane to decelerate." Ash suggests. East says, "Sure, that will do. Now just take it easy and we are going to take off."
East teaches Ash a lot of motion controls as the plane starts to run on the court, eventually, it accelerates and now it starts to fly into the air. Once they get past the turbulence, they switch it into auto mode as Ash is feeling a little weak in the seat.
Alice says, "Usually when I was on the plane, there used to be a lot of people here, but right now the plane is really empty...it feels a little wrong..."
Ash says, "I think to me, the wrong thing is that I manage to succeed in taking off without any problems occurring. I wish I didn't curse myself because of it."
"I know what you mean, but don't worry, you will be having a lot of practice in the future, and even if you fail, I'm here, and I can at least make a safe landing if something goes wrong. Now that the plane is in auto mode, I say we should try to figure out what we should do with the huge interior."
Ash says, "You're right." As they leave their seats to figure out what they should do inside the plane. East also gives them some safety lessons, and how it will affect the flying, both Ash and Alice listen closely to what he said because he won't always be there when things go wrong. After several hours, they hear the alarm and Ash asks, "What is that, East?"
East says, "This kind of alarm is going to warn you that we are almost arriving at the destination and we should change back to motion controls for the landing."
Alice decides to be the one that does it as they switch sides, East has been carefully teaching her how to land safely as she is trying.
