Chapter 56
With the Hoenn League conquered, Ash and Alice decide to capture more Flying Type Pokemon for their team. While they are flying on the plane above Unova, they find themselves stuck in a storm.
"What the... we aren't prepared for this..." Alice says with a sacred tone as the plane is shaking.
"Damn, it... it's a good thing that there are only the two of us..." Ash says. "But what is causing the storm?"
"I don't know... and I don't think I want to know because my mind right now is to try how to make sure the plane won't break..."
Ash says, "I'll open the emergency exit and check it out. Alice, stay in control."
Ash wears the protection suit that's filled with oxygen and opens the exit, using the Flying Aura, he is now flying in the sky with his aura wings. He feels the cold and says, "Cold? That means... this is probably a Bleakwind Storm..."
Alice also calls Ash from the speaker and says, "Ash, can you hear me?"
Ash says, "I can hear you, the storm is cold, I think we're probably in Tornadus' territory."
"Tornadus? The Legendary Pokemon?" Alice asks.
Then Ash also finds the silhouette in front of them, and it is Tornadus in its Therian Form. He says, "Who dares enter my territory?"
Ash says, "Wait, Tornadus. We are sorry if we trespass on your place, but we're just heading home!"
Tornadus gets a closer look and he recognizes Ash. "Forgive me, chosen. I didn't know it was you. I have been waiting for you a long time."
"I see, but can you please stop the storm? My wife is having trouble on the plane." Ash says.
Tornadus nods before stopping the storm, and Alice finally gets a hold of the plane. Ash and Tornadus look around the plane to see if there're any cracks, and Ash also fixes it as quickly as possible.
Tornadus also apologizes for the mess and gives them the Pokeball, and Ash also quickly gets back into the plane and lies on the bed. Once Alice switches back to autopilot mode, she says, "I'm surprised that I'm not throwing up just yet..."
"But I'm tired... flying outside with the protection suit is not that great. Especially since breathing is not easy in the Strastrophere..." Ash says.
"I'm surprised you didn't send out Rayquaza to help you out." Alice says while lying beside Ash. "So you captured the Tornadus?"
"Yeah... I can't believe that worked well, maybe that's because Tornadus recognizes us. If others do, I'm sure that he will make sure the plane crash..." Ash says.
Then the two of them lie on the bed for a while before the alarm wakes them up since they're almost arriving at the destination.
Tornadus: Ability: Defiant (Incarnate)/Regenerator (Therian). Moves: Thrash, Hammer Arm, Bleakwind Storm, Hurricane, Tailwind, Dark Pulse
After getting back to the island, East notice the two's pained face and asks, "Are you alright? You two don't seem fine..."
Ash says, "We endured a crazy Bleakwind Storm caused by Tornadus..."
"No kidding? You two managed to fly the plane in a storm and you two also came out of it alive and the plane intact? Both of you really have my respect." East says.
"Just talk about it... after getting out of the storm and making sure the plane is safe, we didn't want to do anything except for lying on the bed." Alice says.
Then they notice the golf course next to Skyhigh City and ask, "Is that a golf course?"
East says, "I like golf other than flying the plane. I think that golfing is relaxing, don't you think?"
"Yeah. Maybe we can have a round." Ash says, "But I have to use Noivern to help me out."
Alice says, "I'll just watch indoors since I need more rest."
Then Ash and East play some golf and they also see how far they can go, while Alice is indoors with Pikachu and some of the Pokemon by her side. Alice sees that Pikachu is drinking the bottle of ketchup again, and she sighs, "Oh, Pikachu. You really like ketchup, don't you? But you have to realize that the ketchup is for public use."
Alice takes the bottle, and she can hear Pikachu begging, "Please! Don't take the greatest thing from me! I need that as much as my life do!"
Alice shakes her head with disbelief when it comes to ketchup, Pikachu always does something like this. But she is not going to be fooled, and the same goes for Ash. "If you behave right now, I'll give you some ketchup for dinner."
"You better!" Pikachu says before deciding to watch the match with Ash and East. After a while, the two of them get back, and Alice asks, "So who won?"
"I won, but not a Birdie." Ash says. "Which is kinda a shame. I got a Bogey."
"Bogey is better than Double Bogey. You simply lost a turn because you sent the ball into the river." East says.
"But still, I did fewer swings than you did." Ash says as they all chuckle. "So Pikachu was giving you trouble again?"
"When it comes to ketchup." Alice shakes her head.
Noivern: Ability: Frisk. Moves: Boomburst, Acrobatics, Hurricane, Tailwind, Dragon Pulse, Moonlight
In the Galar Region, Ash and Alice decide to go into the Flying Taxi as they head from Wyndon to Motostoke. Alice says, "The Flying Taxi sure is convenient when traveling inside the regions. Although I wonder why Paldea has Squawkabilly as the flying Pokemon instead of Corviknight?"
Ash says, "With Tinkaton using their hammers and aiming the rocks at the Corviknight as a hobby, do you think it will be safe if they use Corviknight as Flying Taxi Pokemon? I must say that accidents might happen because of it."
"That might be true." Alice says. "That reminds me. We didn't capture a Corviknight before, right?"
"Yeah." Ash says.
After heading out to the Wild Area, they find a Corvisquire and capture it, they also train for a while to evolve into a Corviknight. And they also hear Pikachu's cry, only to find that it is stuck inside a Cramorant's mouth. Ash also uses the chance to capture the Cramorant in the Pokeball.
"Cramorant's Gulp Missile ability sure is troublesome." Alice says.
"Pikachu really doesn't like to be a target from the Cramorant after all." Ash chuckles.
Pikachu pouts before giving them the Thunderbolt, usually, he would only shock Ash, but Alice and Ash are already a couple and Alice is just like another Ash, so it doesn't matter to him.
"Why did I get shocked as well..." Alice mutters.
"Pikachu... that's not nice." Ash says. Pikachu just huffs before turning away.
After getting back to Sevestar Island, they also prepare a Max Soup for Corviknight so that it can Gigantamax.
Corviknight: Ability: Mirror Armor. Moves: Swagger, Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Power Trip, Iron Defense, Steel Wing
Cramorant: Ability: Gulp Missile. Moves: Thrash, Dive, Hydro Pump, Brave Bird, Drill Peck, Amnesia
In the Paldea Region, Ash and Alice first get to South Province Area Five to capture a Flamigo, and after getting the Pokemon, they head to West Province Area One.
"What is going on there?" Alice asks as she points at the hill with falling boulders. "That looks like it is coming from a game... I never knew it can be happening in real life."
"Oh, that's just a Titan Bombirdier." Ash says. "He just likes to do that for some reason."
"If that's a Titan, that means you beat him before?" Alice asks.
"Yeah. I have to dodge the boulders until reaching the top and battling him." Ash says. "It has Rocky Payload, which powers up Rock Type Moves despite not being a Rock Type."
"Yeah, it's a Dark and Flying Type." Alice says.
And they also notice a Bombirdier staring at them, Alice decides to battle the Pokemon using Baxcalibur, and after giving it an Icicle Crash, they finally capture the Pokemon.
Bombirdier: Ability: Rocky Payload. Moves: Leer, Dual Wingbeat, Wing Attack, Rock Slide, Knock Off, Parting Shot
Flamigo: Ability: Costar. Moves: Low Kick, Air Slash, Brave Bird, Roost, Wide Guard, Throat Chop
"Did you know that the Elite Four members of the Paldea Region use types that are equal to the types of the Titan Pokemon?" Ash asks.
"Really? I didn't know that. Since I haven't faced a Titan before." Alice says.
"Right, I almost forget about that. There are five Titans: The Stony Cliff Titan, the Open Sky Titan, the Lurking Steel Titan, the Quaking Earth Titan, and the False Dragon Titan." Ash says. "And the Elite Four members are Rika, who specializes in Ground Type, Poppy, who specializes in Steel Type, Larry, who specializes in Flying Type."
"And Professor Hassel, who specializes in Dragon Type. I know because he told me before." Alice says. "But Larry? Isn't he the Medali City Gym Leader?"
"Yeah, he is a strange one. As the Gym Leader, he specializes in Normal Type. And as an Elite Four, he specializes in Flying instead. The only member on the team that is the same is the Staraptor." Ash says.
"Won't he be tired? I mean, it is not easy to be a Gym Leader and an Elite Four member at the same time..." Alice asks.
"You're right. But I'm pretty sure he is just a businessman that needs money." Ash says.
But just before they head back, they are also invited by Nemona to the reunion party. Ash and Alice attend the party and Ash finally introduces Nemona, Arven, and Penny to her.
"So you are the famous wife of Ash Ketchum, it is nice to meet you." Nemona says.
"Same here." Alice says. "Ash told me a lot about you, you really like battles and you were also the youngest person who achieve the Paldea Champion Rank."
"It was not me now since Ash skip grades and he is now the current one." Nemona says. "But I also heard what happened to you, although I'm not sure if I did say something rude to you since I clearly don't remember those days..."
Ash says, "It's fine, you couldn't have gone to the Kanto Region before me, and I basically went hiding after that." Ash says.
Penny says, "I did some hacking and learned that everything was caused by Team Rocket. Apparently, your mother used to work with them and your father is their nemesis."
"You really are good at hacking skills, Penny. But please remember that I still need my privacy." Ash says.
"Sorry about that." Penny says with a slight smirk.
"How can you guys start the reunion without me?" Then Arven also comes and greets them. Ash says, "Of course, we're not going to forget you, Arven. How's your soul searching?"
"It's fine I guess, my father and I are still looking at the documents that my Mother left us." Arven says. "And I'm surprised that you even got married without having us invited to the wedding."
"We didn't have a wedding just yet." Alice says. "All we did was just register with paper and nothing else."
"Then when are you going to have the wedding? Can we also attend it?" Nemona asks.
"We're not sure, but we have some other projects to do and we want to finish them first." Ash says as they continue to talk about their old school life.
