"Mom!" I run toward the woman who standing right in front of me
She stretches out her arms for me to hug her. I hug her so tight that I am afraid to lose her. I cry so loud that my voice echo in the room. She brushes my hair lightly and giggles
"Delia, you are not a little girl already. Aren't you?" My mom smiles at me "who is this?"
She pointing at the man who is standing behind me. He has lighter skin compare to max and other leaders of dauntless. He has no hair but I like rubbing them when I am bored. He has brown eye brows and eyes and even his beard is also brownish around his chin. He has stripped tattoos all over his neck and his hands. He is wearing dauntless standard uniform. He is the lieutenant and soldier in dauntless: Alan Davis.
"This is my boyfriend Alan Davis. He is the lieutenant and soldier for max." I walk back to Alan and wrap my hand around his arm.
"I know him. I saw him before. Nice to see you again here with my daughter ." My mom smiles at him
Alan Davis takes out his hand to shake with my mom.
"Nice to see you too Ms prior . I love Delia sincerely and I wish you and Mr Prior is going to approve our relationship." Alan says gently "how is Beatrice and Caleb doing? I heard that they are going to choose this year?"
"Yes they are. Do you want to come for dinner with us?" My mom nods her head
"Sure , I got the permission from my boss already that I can stay here with Delia longer if she wants." Alan kisses my cheek
My mom giggles and she leads us out of the building. I hold Alan's hand and walk beside my mom. I had always imagine everything like today. Walking with my love one beside my parent and going back home to see my sister and brother , I think that already come true
When we get our house, I hear a chorus of laughter . Beatrice and Caleb are playing around again in their room . My mom opens the door and I see my dad is reading newspaper.
"Alan Davis? Why are you even here ? May I ask for what are you doing with my elder daughter?" My father says it coldly
"Andrew, Alan is our son in law . Be nice okay! Beatrice and Caleb , your sister and brother in law are here!" My mom shouts
Beatrice and Caleb now stop shouting and after a second , they run downstair to see me. When they see me, Beatrice runs into my arms.
"Sister! We miss you! How are you doing in dauntless!"Beatrice is crying
"I am doing very good. I left abnegation for two years and I am always happy to see you guys." I kiss her on her forehead
I look back at my mom and my dad. Alan is sitting with my mom and they are talking about something
"Delia, go upstair with your sister and brother . I will talk to him for a minute okay." My dad sighs a little"I promise that I will be nice to him."
"Okay of course." I shrug. I walk toward Alan and leans into him to kiss him"good luck honey."
I turn around and get upstair with my brother and sister. We enter Beatrice's room and her room is still as clean as when I left here. I sit on her desk and she sits on her bed with Caleb
"Who is that man? Is he our brother in law?" Caleb looks confused
"Yes he is your brother in law. His name is Alan Davis. He is a lieutenant for our leader max." I say it like when I first time saw him"he is nice . Isn't he?"
"How did you two met ? And how did you guys fall in love with ?" Beatrice blinks her eyes at me with curiosity.
I giggle and touch her head . She is always this smart and likes to ask questions.
"We met during my initiation. He sometimes comes to watch the training on the behalf of max. He taught me how to fight and shoot . He also protected me when those initiates try to kill me." I look up like i can see those memory .
"They we're trying to kill you? Why?" Caleb is so shocked
"You will understand once you choose. It is every where even here Caleb. The society is more complex than you can think."I shake my head
Beatrice hugs me and she gets closer to my ears .
"I will also choose dauntless very soon sister. I will be with you okay?" Beatrice says in a low voice.
"Beatrice……."I want to say something but I don't know what to say"okay fine, I will respect your choice."
We lay on the bed like when we were small and I don't know what my father is talking to Alan. I am worry that my dad is going to hurt him.
"Guys come down for dinner okay?"my mom is calling us
Beatrice and Caleb rush out of the room and I follow them down. Alan is smiling at me with my dad beside him.
"Baby ." Alan opens his arms.
"Yes honey, what did my dad told you?" I sit on his laps .
"I will tell you when we are back okay? Let's eat first." He gets up.
We sit around the table. The food in abnegation isn't as tasteful as dauntless but good enough for me. Alan is never a picky eater because he can accept every thing for me
"We don't use many salt here . I am sorry Alan if you don't like it." My mom pokes on the chicken
"It's okay ms prior . Delia doesn't eat much salt so when I cooked , I don't put much salt in the food too." Alan cuts my chicken into pieces for me
"You are spoiling our sister ." Caleb drinks the water
Alan shakes his head. He bites into one piece of chicken
"I am willing to do it forever for her. She doesn't need to worry about that I am going to leave her . Right my baby girl?" He kisses my cheek
"Yes I don't need to worry about he leaving me unless he passes away." I stuck my tongue out.
"So tomorrow will be your aptitude test right?" Alan asks beatrice
Beatrice nods her head. I and Alan are both worry about one thing is that if I am divergent, then one of my siblings may also be divergent. It is either Beatrice or Caleb.
"I volunteer for the test. I may test you or Caleb tomorrow according to the plan." I have to act that I do not know it because it is a secret decision
"Oh that's good. I may see you tomorrow again then." Beatrice is happy
"Yes and no." I smile
After dinner, we sit in the living room. I have long time not sitting here with my parent .
"How is everything going with your job now?" Father sips on the teas
"I am an ambassador and still an instructor now."I shrug
"Who is monitoring the training with you?" My mom blinks her eyes
I look at Alan. Alan is working directly for max so he will not be the leader who is over watching the training.
"New leader whose name is Harrison." I smile at him"we were in the same initiate class."
"Harrison is a nice guy ."Alan adds but i know that he doesn't mean it"I will sometime go watch it too."
I rest my head on his shoulder and when I look at him, my heart is still beating so fast.
"Hah don't mean it honey. You are jealous because he was my best friend but you just try to act friendly in front of my parent. You are such cute boyfriend for me."I giggle
"Delia, stop it, I am trying my best." Alan covers his face with embarrassment
"I think you are just so cute when you are jealous ."I put my hand on his chest
He kisses my forehead. Then he talks with my parent longer, I feel so sleepy so I close my eyes and fall into sleep.
I don't wake up until I get back to dauntless compound. When I wake up, I see Alan sits beside me.
"Delia, you are awake?" He puts down his book
"Yes Alan, so nice muscle." I squeeze his muscle on his arm
"Are you drunk baby?" Alan looks at me worried
I nudge against his chest . With him is the only time that I can act like a little girl
"No , I just want to be a little girl again. Cuddling with the people I love ." I say it sadly
"All right, Delia . I will cuddle with you." He lays down and sleep with me"you can sleep and I will stay with you okay?"
I close my eyes and drifting back to sleep. When I wake up, it is already the morning. Alan is gone and I get up slowly. I know that he is probably going to the meeting. Today afternoon I have to go for that aptitude test and I will find out which one of my siblings will be divergent.
I get off the bed and dress up nicely. I braided my hair up into a knot so I look clean and comfortable. I wear a light make up and black boots.
"Delia, are you ready to go eat!" Abby is calling me.
"Yes I am . I am coming now ." I open the door"let's go."
Abby holds my hand and she seems to be happy now. When Amar dead a long time ago, she was devastated and that worried me and Alan so much
"You are so happy now." I relief a little
"You know life have to be continue. I can't give up myself because he is watching me somewhere ."she pointing above us .
"Okay yes he is . He wants you to be happy Abby." I clap her back
We get to the cafeteria and sees Alan sits with his fellow lieutenant Jason. Jason is elder than Alan but they are good friends
"Morning honey, not waiting for me?" I sit down beside him .
"You sleep so soundly and beautifully. I don't want to wake up my Snow White ." Alan nudges his face with mine
"Enough Alan, you know that I am still single." Jason rolls his eyes at us.
"You should find someone." I laugh .
Jason looks sad when I mention that because he just broke up as I heard from Alan.
"I am sorry Jason"
