Chapter Ten
The room was so quiet as the three monsters gathered their strength. Alucard and Seras lay side by side on their backs. Sebastian stayed laying on his side with his arm draped over her stomach. One of her hands was clutching his forearm while the other hand had a firm grip on the sheets. The small blonde was still having a little trouble catching her breath after the thrilling moment she shared with her master. God, she had missed the sex. It was better than she remembered it being.
"What do we tell everyone?" Seras asked out of the blue. Lazily, Alucard shifted his head to look at his fledgling. There was still a hazy look in her eyes, but she stared up at the ceiling in uncertainty and confusion. "What do we tell Allison? How would we explain…this?"
"What do you want to tell them?" Alucard questioned as he looked back up at the ceiling.
"I don't know." The little vampire admitted while she absentmindedly ran her fingers through her hair. "I think we should keep our sexual lives separate from everything else."
"You wish to keep it a secret?" Sebastian asked.
"Things are already complicated between us. No need to complicate things more by involving everyone else." Seras answered with a light shrug.
"So we act like nothing is happening between us outside this room?" Alucard asked.
"Act like we always do." Seras agreed with a nod. "Fledgling and mentors, nothing more."
"I have no arguments." Sebastian muttered, though there was a hint of disappointment in the tone of his voice.
"And Allison?" The elder vampire asked.
"Why involve her either?" The Draculina responded. "It's not like we're together, so there's no point in telling her that we're in any type of relationship. Besides, I hardly think it's appropriate to tell my child that I'm sleeping with her fathers but we're not in a serious relationship." This earned her a snicker from her master.
"Why bring the subject up if we're not going to say anything to anyone?" The demon questioned her.
"I just wanted to be sure that we were on the same page." She answered with another shrug. "I had no idea what you guys would say or if you would be groping me in public." Both men chuckled at that.
"Grope you in public? Who do you think we are, Bernadotte?" Sebastian asked, bringing a smile to her face.
"I just had to be sure that neither of you will be trying to grab my ass or kiss me." Seras laughed.
"No offense, but why would we?" The demon replied. "We do have some self-control, Seras."
"No, everything we do will be done in private." Alucard assured her. "No one will have to know that our relationship has evolved." Though, the Police Girl was still deeply unaware of just how much it has evolved. She had no idea that they were fools in love with her who planned on eventually mating with her. That is, if she'll have them.
"What would be so wrong if little Alice knew?" Sebastian asked. Instantly, Seras' head snapped to the side so she could give him a bewildered look.
"Our relationship is strictly sexual, Sebastian." The small blonde reminded him. "Even if Allison was older and understood what sex was, I still wouldn't tell her because it's not something you should tell your daughter."
"You don't need to tell her that you are in an intimate relationship with her fathers." The demon corrected her. "But what would be so wrong to tell her that we are in a relationship?"
"Because we're not?" Seras murmured in confusion. Her brows were furrowed together while she stared at him as if he was speaking another language. "I wouldn't really…call what we have a relationship. We're just having…sex." A smirk then swept across her face and she snickered at an amusing thought. She couldn't imagine calling either of her mentors her boyfriend. The thought was so ridiculous to her; laughable really. No, they certainly wouldn't take things that far with her. She was strictly their lover, and that was the extent of their relationship.
"What's funny?" Sebastian asked while he stared at her curiously. The girl lightly shook her head before she shifted it on the pillow to look back at the ceiling.
"Nothing," She whispered. And yet, she kept that smirk on her face, as if she still found something amusing about what he said. What had he said that was funny? He was being completely serious.
"I think what Michaelis is saying is what if we were more than lovers, Seras." Alucard chimed in. The smirk slipped from the girl's face and her eyes widened the slightest bit.
"What?" She whispered before she glanced over at her master. There was a small grin on his face while some type of proud look shone in his eyes. He kept his eyes on the ceiling, however; not bothering to look in her direction. "Master?" Hearing that title, the elder vampire finally shifted his head to lock eyes with her. The grin on his face widened and he snickered.
"What have I told you about calling me by my name while we're alone?" He lightly scolded her.
"Sorry," She whispered. Those brilliant eyes of his flickered about her face. In that short moment, he just admired her. The way her blue eyes simmered reminded him of the way light reflected off the water of the ocean. Her soft, pale skin was a creamy white. Her short, spiky yellow hair was a little tousled after their lovemaking, but god damn did it make her look all the more gorgeous and sexy to him. And those lips, the same shade of a pink rose. "Alucard?" Seras whispered, drawing his attention away from all those little details. His eyes met hers once more. His little mate still looked so confused. They had been hesitant to share anything with her. They were worried that if she knew the truth, she would be too overwhelmed. She already had enough stressful issues going on in her life; they didn't need to add more. Besides, what if she didn't like what she heard? What if she didn't want them as her mates? Could they handle rejection from her? Admittedly, it stung a little how adamant Seras was keeping them as her lovers. Had she seriously not considered that they would want more? Has it occurred to her that she may want more? They didn't have to tell her that she was made to be their mate. But surely they can convince her that they wanted something a little more than sex, right? Could they open Seras' mind to the possibility of being in a more steady and serious relationship with them?
"Alucard?" Seras spoke his name once more when he didn't respond. "What are you talking about?"
"Are you satisfied with the relationship you have developed with us?" Sebastian asked before he placed a deep kiss on her bare shoulder. The small blonde shifted her head to look at him. "Are you happy with the sex alone or do you crave for something more?" His dark red eyes then flickered up to meet her gaze. A smirk crept onto his face and he snickered. "There are no wrong answers." He added and then placed a kiss on her collarbone. The little vampire looked purely stunned. He knew that all of this was coming out of nowhere for her. Alucard and him had outright told her they weren't looking for anything serious before they started this little affair. But, at the time, they hadn't known how deep those feelings for Seras went. They hadn't realized that it was more than just her body they were craving. They wanted all of her. How foolish they were for telling her they weren't looking for anything serious. However, the last thing they needed was to overwhelm her with this little bit of information and have her back out completely.
"You needn't answer right now. Think it over." Alucard whispered as his fingers absently stroked over the top of her thigh. Seras' head snapped back to the side to look at him.
"But I want to talk about it." Was her surprising response. The males eyes widened a little by her willingness to discuss it so quickly. The girl lightly cocked her head to the side while she studied her master. "What changed?" She asked with a look of suspicion in the depths of her eyes. "Just last night, you and Sebastian both told me that you didn't want anything serious. You only wanted to take me as a lover and nothing more." Before either of them could answer, Seras softly sighed while shaking her head. Looking back up at the ceiling, the girl shrugged her shoulders. "What is it that you even want? How…serious of a relationship are we talking about?" She then groaned and placed her hands on her face to rub over her eyes and forehead. "I didn't think it was possible, but things just got so much more complicated between us."
"If this topic is too stressful, we don't have to discuss it right now, Seras." Sebastian responded quickly. "We don't want you to ever regret choosing us." Her hands slid away from her face and she shifted her head to glance at the demon.
"I don't regret anything I've ever done with either of you." She promised them softly.
"And I hope that you never will." The demon added.
"I just want to understand what you guys want from me." The little vampire proceeded. A faint blush appeared on the girl's cheeks then. Timidly, her eyes drifted down, focusing her gaze on the bed sheets instead of them. "I feel so stupid asking, but…do you guys…like me…in a different way? One that isn't sexual, that is?"
"Would that be a problem?" Alucard asked. The blush only darkened on his fledgling's face.
"No," She murmured so softly that it almost didn't reach their ears.
"Hadn't you said that you loved us?" Sebastian reminded her as a crooked smirk appeared on his lips.
"Well…yeah…but…I didn't necessarily mean in a romantic way." Seras admitted before her brows furrowed together once more. "Or…at least I don't think I meant it in that way." The girl then finally looked back at the demon. "Truthfully, I don't know in what way I meant it. But I do love you and Alucard. Besides Allison, you're both the closest thing I have to a family." Even though she was receiving warm, genuine smiles from both men, the girl couldn't help but frown. "Neither of you have truly answered my question yet."
"And what question would that be?" Alucard asked in a deep purr. His fingers moved from her thigh to dance across her stomach. Seras shuddered before she turned her head to look up at her master.
"What are your feelings for me?" The Draculina asked once more. The males fell silent while they just lied there and stared at the girl they loved with every fiber of their being. She had no idea the lengths they would go to keep her in their arms forever. Nor did she understand the lengths they would go to keep her and their daughter safe. But how much should they tell her? Should they be completely honest and share everything; every thought and feeling? Or would that be too much for her to handle? Just because she had admitted to loving them didn't mean she was prepared to take them on as her mates. They had only just taken her on as a lover for the first time in three years. The best solution was to take it slow. Let her feelings grow for them until she is more comfortable. Then, when the time is right, they will discuss the possibility of taking her on as a mate.
"We adore you, Seras." Alucard told her softly, though it was a bit of an understatement.
"And we don't wish to lose you." Sebastian added.
"You won't lose me." Seras promised. "Even if we don't stay as lovers, I'll always be there."
"We want to be more to you than just lovers." The demon brought up once more. "You don't have to depend on us just for sex. If you need us at all, for anything, we want to be there for you." A romantic relationship? She could hardly believe it. Why would they want to be in a romantic relationship with her? Seras knew how horrible it was of her to think it, but she didn't think it was possible for Alucard and Sebastian to love anyone.
"Aren't you both aromantic?" The fledgling asked them outright. Instead of being offended, the males chuckled at that bold question.
"No," Alucard snickered. "I may be old and I may be desensitized to most things, but I am fully capable of loving another being, Seras. I just haven't held any romantic feelings for anyone in a very, very long time." There was a distant look in her master's eyes; a look that was of nostalgia and warmth. She couldn't help but wonder what old memory resurfaced for him after so many years. Who had he loved last? She wanted to know, but didn't want to pry. That was his business, and if he wanted to tell her then he would share it. But she will not force it out of him.
"As for demons, the feeling is…complicated." Sebastian attempted to explain. "Demons can only feel love to a select few." Drawing away from that faraway look in her master's eyes, Seras glanced back at the demon.
"A select few? Really? Why?" She asked. The smirk on the demon's face twisted into something almost sinister. It definitely sent chills down her back, but it also made her stomach tighten with pleasure. Her lashes lowered a little over her gaze while she released a breathy little moan. God, one look from the man and she was practically a puddle. Sebastian's arm tightened around her stomach and, with ease, he managed to turn her onto her side. With her bare, hot back pressing into his chest, he leaned his face in close to press his lips to her throat. The girl willingly tilted her head back a little to give him more room to work.
"Don't question it, darling." Sebastian whispered in her ear as he lathed the crook of her neck in hot open mouth kisses. "Just enjoy it. Take pleasure in my affection." "Okay," She whispered. Of course, the girl still had doubts. There were still things she wanted to ask them, things she wanted to know. Like, what did this new relationship entail? How serious was it becoming? She still had her concerns that the relationship won't work; that Alucard and Sebastian will realize eventually that they were in too deep and will want to back out. But she decided that she'll just put her faith in them. "Let's see where it takes us." She whispered a moment later. "I just really hope that we're not making a mistake."
"We're not, I promise you." Sebastian whispered in the crook of her neck. Her master's fingers slipped away from her chin so he could cup her face lovingly in his big hands. His thumbs lightly brushed over her cheek bones while he teased her by brushing his lips over hers.
"Will you come see us again later tonight?" Alucard asked while sharing breaths of air with her.
"I'm sorry, but I promised Allison that I would spend the rest of the night with her. We were going to watch a movie she's been dying to see." The small blonde answered softly. "Do you guys want to join us?" She asked with a hopeful, but timid look in her eyes.
"I don't think our presence would be welcomed." The elder vampire spoke his thoughts, knowing how his daughter felt about him and Michaelis.
"Allison is expecting time alone with you." Sebastian added. "We won't intrude."
"Perhaps after you finish the film and put our daughter to bed? Will you come see us then?" Alucard asked with a small grin that he hoped would entice his mate. Without hesitation, Seras answered with a warm, perfect smile.
"Yes," She agreed. The grin on the No Life King's face widened to a scary proportion that showed off those sharp teeth. As a reward for giving the answer he wanted to hear, he leaned down to kiss her eagerly on the mouth. The little vampire whimpered in his mouth, but welcomed those skilled lips just before he pulled away.
"Excellent," He purred.
"We will also try to spend some time with Alice tonight." Sebastian promised.
"You've been having trouble sleeping lately." Alucard noted.
"Have you?" The demon questioned. This was fairly new information for him. Why has Seras been having trouble sleeping?
"Once we're done here, perhaps you should rest up." The elder vampire suggested. "Michaelis and I will watchover Allison."
"Are you sure?" Seras asked with a look of concern. A frown slowly replaced that brilliant smile. Her daughter wasn't very friendly towards Alucard and Sebastian. She desperately wanted the three of them to spend time together and get along. But she was afraid of the things Allison would do or say. She didn't want her daughter pushing her fathers further away. She didn't want her daughter to be so cold and cruel, and not take their feelings into consideration. When will their daughter see that they weren't monsters she had to fear? They were monsters that would protect her; who cherished her.
"I thought you wanted us to spend time with her." Sebastian murmured.
"I do!" Seras softly exclaimed. "I'm just…worried that Allison won't be on her best behavior with you guys."
"We can handle her." The demon responded with a smirk.
"Our daughter may be soft spoken and shy, but when something sets her off…she can become a little monster." The small blonde snickered.
"We know," Both men chuckled. Just last night the girl showed them how brave and fierce she could be. She tried challenging them by baring her fangs and hissing. While she was an adorable little creature in their eyes, they can definitely tell that she was going to be a real ballbuster in the future. They intend on protecting her, especially from men who will most definitely come to try and seduce her when she's older, but they know for a fact that she will be able to take care of herself.
"If our daughter says anything…offensive, don't take it to heart. She's three. She doesn't really understand how hurtful some words can be." Seras told them. The mother then clicked her tongue and lightly shook her head. "I don't understand at all how she learned such hateful words."
"There's only so much you can protect her from, Seras." Sebastian whispered against her throat. "You can't shield her from every little thing in the world."
"I know, but I still can't wrap my head around it. I try to be positive when I'm around her. I try to refrain from using certain words. So, where did she learn such negative feelings and words?" The little vampire asked with a defeated look in her eyes.
"There are other people here in the manor." The demon reminded her. "Even if Allison doesn't come in contact with these people, her hearing is exceptional. She could overhear certain conversations and pick up on new words."
"I guess," Seras murmured.
"Besides, she is quite intelligent for a three year old. More so than a mortal child." Alucard purred with a pleased look. This earned him a soft smile from his bride.
"She has the intelligence of at least a six year old." Seras snickered. "Though, she does have a tantrum every now and then like a regular toddler." The smile on her face widened a little more. "While she does fight me on every single lesson, our daughter is growing to be pretty smart for her age. She knows how to count, add, and subtract. She does well with colors. She's starting to learn how to read. And all on her own she started to learn how to write. The first thing she tried to spell was her name. It didn't really come out the way she wanted to nor was it spelled correctly, but I was proud of her nonetheless." Such a warm look appeared in the small blonde's eyes. "I love that little girl. I love her to death."
"What way was she hoping for it to come out?" Sebastian chuckled. He could just see that pouty look on his daughter's face now at seeing her 'unsatisfying' work.
"She was hoping for elegant cursive, like Sir Integra's penmanship." Seras laughed. "But it came out a scrawled mess; barely legible, but decent for a child's first time. I told her it takes practice and that eventually she could have beautiful handwriting like Integra's. She wasn't happy with that answer, but our girl is relentless. She practices on her own whenever she gets the chance. It's to the point that she keeps stealing all of my pens and pencils, and writes on whatever she can get ahold of. I've had to hide all the pens and markers because she kept writing on the table and walls, even after being scolded more than once."
"That child has a mind of her own." Alucard responded.
"I know," Seras whispered while she absently ran her fingers through her master's hair. Her eyes repeatedly flickered about his face, but her eyes always returned to meet his gaze. Each time their eyes met, the two would smile at each other. "And her appetite is insatiable." A freakishly wide grin spread across the elder vampire's face.
"Really?" He purred, looking more than pleased by this bit of information.
"I try to give her three packs a day, one for every meal." The little vampire proceeded. "But the girl acts like she never eats, and she is such a sneaky little thing too." She snickered. "When I refuse to give her any blood between meals, she goes straight to Walter and acts like I don't feed her ever. She flashes puppy dog eyes and asks ever so politely to have one blood bag. Of course, Walter gives it to her, not knowing that she had just fed. And other times, when I tell him that she just ate and doesn't need another bag, the little bugger sneaks into the freezer when no one is looking and grabs an armful of bags!" Alucard and Sebastian couldn't help but laugh when hearing that. "I found a secret stash of blood bags hidden under her bed. There had to be at least forty bags there, maybe more. Apparently, as soon as I go to bed, Allison sneaks a bag or two and drinks it in bed. Now I have to go about our room, searching every nook and cranny to make sure she isn't stashing blood bags anywhere else." The mother lightly shook her head at her troublesome daughter. "She may be afraid to become like you, but she does have your hunger, Alucard. No doubt about it."
"I had no idea." The elder vampire replied softly. Even though a part of him was proud to hear that a small portion of his daughter was just like him, he couldn't help but feel anguish. Hearing Seras go on and on about Allison made him realize that he knew nothing about his daughter. He hadn't known about her lessons, her desire to read and write, her endless hunger for blood, her tantrums, and her sneakiness. What else was there that he didn't know about his one and only daughter? How much has he missed out on? He was fortunate to be there when she took her first steps. And he was fortunate to be present when she uttered her first word, which happened to be hi. But what else has there been in the last three years that he hasn't been fortunate enough to see? What memories has he missed out on? He didn't want to miss anything more. He wanted to be there every step of the way for little Alice and Seras. He won't miss a single thing ever again.
"May I ask something?" The Draculina broke that short moment of silence, bringing Alucard back to reality.
"What is it, darling?" Sebastian asked in a deep purr before he placed kisses in the crook of her neck. Such a large smile spread across Seras' face and she laughed when he incidentally tickled her with his lips.
"I was just wondering," She said after her fit of giggling. "When you both realized you wanted to continue having an…intimate relationship with me." Before either of them could answer, she added something else. "After that night, you guys would barely look or speak to me. I thought you regretted what happened."
"The only thing we regretted was how we treated you that night." The demon whispered before he placed more kisses on her neck. "We acted like savages. We tore the clothes from your body and had our way with you."
"I was completely willing." Seras laughed.
"Doesn't matter," Sebastian grimaced at her response. "We were beasts and we defiled your innocence." A far away look then appeared in the demon's eyes. "But we didn't want to lose you."
"At the time, we weren't aware of our feelings." Alucard admitted. "All we knew was that we wanted at least several more phenomenal nights with you."
"And then you told us about…the pregnancy." The demon proceeded with a frown. "And…we got cold feet." Seras' smile shrank, but only by a fraction.
"I had cold feet too." The Draculina whispered to them, as if hearing this would make them feel better. However, it only made them feel worse. "I'm not…mad at you guys if that's what you think."
"You should be livid." Sebastian corrected her.
"I'm not though." She answered with a shrug. Don't expect anything from anyone. Seras thought to herself, unaware that they heard.
"Don't expect anything from anyone?" The demon repeated with furrowed brows. "What kind of mantra is that?" The Draculina's eyes widened in surprise that he said exactly what she was thinking.
"Uh, yeah. It was my philosophy as a kid." Seras explained. "You can't get hurt or be disappointed if you expect very little from people."
"Is that how you feel towards us?" Sebastian asked.
"No," She disagreed. "Because of that philosophy, I grew up not relying on others. I'm independent and can care for myself. So, when I ended up pregnant with Alice, I didn't just assume that you or Alucard would father her. I was set on raising her myself." Seras then frowned. "I think it was wrong of me to do, though. From what you and Alucard have expressed to me, it sounds like you both wanted to be a part of her life a lot sooner. If I did, it was unintentional, but did I push you guys away? Did I keep you from Alice without thinking?"
"No," Alucard whispered as his thumb stroked over her cheek. "The three of us had an agreement that you would raise her, but Michaelis and I would support you both when you needed us."
"Does the past matter? We have it all worked out. Alucard and I will father little Alice, and we are officially back with you. If anything, our relationship is stronger than ever." Sebastian purred with a wide smirk. His warm breath tickled the back of her neck, causing a tremor to shoot down her body. The Draculina gave a soft moan before driving her fangs deep into her bottom lip.
"I suppose it is." She whispered a moment later. She then licked over her lips when one of Sebastian's hands caressed down her hip before his fingers danced distractingly across her stomach. Alucard instantly withdrew his fangs from her breast to come face to face with her. The dazed vampire looked as if she would pass out any second.
"Michaelis, that's enough blood." Alucard warned the demon. Obediently, Sebastian removed his fangs from her throat. "Seras, what do you mean 'but'?" Her master asked as his fingers froze against her pearl. Even the demon stopped all movement as they anxiously waited for a response from the exhausted girl.
"But what, Seras?" Sebastian asked when she struggled to think straight.
"But…I didn't completely fall in love with you both…until tonight." Their bride admitted through her haze. Adoration appeared in the No Life King's eyes while Sebastian stared at her in absolute bafflement. Had he heard her correctly? Tonight she had fallen in love with them?
"Earlier you said you weren't sure if what you were feeling was romantic or not." The demon reminded her.
"I wasn't sure then, but I'm sure now. I love you both with all of my heart." Seras whispered to her dark haired males. Alucard was quick to press his lips against hers. The little vampire grunted in surprise from the sudden kiss, but she was too foggy to kiss him back properly. Not that he cared. As her lips lazily moved over his, he was enthralled because he knew that her love for him ran deep in her heart. To further reward her, he eagerly circled her clit at a fast pass. His sweet, little mate whimpered and moaned in his mouth. It took Sebastian a moment or two to emerge from his state of shock. When he did return to reality, he proceeded moving his hips, but this time to lightly fuck his bride as to not overwhelm her. "I love you both so much." Seras repeated to them, filling their ancient hearts with joy.
"And we'll love you forever." Sebastian breathed as he lathed her throat in kisses.
