Pack openings

Akeno wondered… how… how did it turn into this.

Rias and Sona knelt in front of Issei, despair clear on their faces as the boy had an evil grin on his face.

"No… why Issei?" Rias asked the boy, her voice cracking as despair continued to overtake her being.

"You can't just do this!" Sona exclaimed to the boy, who laughed out loud at their expression.

"Oh yes I can!" Issei declared to his friends. "I worked hard for it, do I deserve to have it!"

He raised his hand into the air, revealing a card that shone under the sun. "I have the true power! SP rare Eradicator, Gauntlet Buster Dragon!"

Both girls screamed in despair as they felt they were cheated from gaining the sought out card. Issei's room was a mess of opened card packs shoved into one corner, three opened cardboard boxes that used to contain booster boxes, and stacks upon stacks of Cardfight Vanguard cards.

Akeno could only nervously watch as Rias practically begged the boy to trade his card away to her so she could, as she said, "A full SP set of Gauntlet Buster Dragon."

It had been five years since they met, all of them were in middle school as Issei just entered his first year. Over these five years, there were changes, yet some stayed the same.

Rias, Sona, and Akeno had grown a lot over those years. They began to grow breasts and their voices were slightly deeper. Not only that, they had their growth spurt which made them slightly taller than the boy.

Because of that, they had become the madonnas of their school, fawned by male and female whenever they made their appearance.

It was tiring for Akeno, who was not used to this kind of attention. Even worse was her father began to be overprotective of her by teaching her how to control her lightning to taze anyone who dared to even talk to her.

Took her mother to stop the man from suggesting even deadlier options.

Issei did grow quite a bit too for the past five years. No longer was he the small, scrawny boy but instead replaced with an athletic youngster who had a strong playful streak. Speaking of…

She needs to put a stop to this comedy of a scene. "Okay, keep it down Rias. I know you have been trying to get that card but the rules are the rules."

Rias wanted to protest, but quickly relent with a sad whine as she knew the rules. They get to keep any double Rare or beyond cards for themselves if they open the pack containing them. She felt jealous that Issei got to have the rare card she wanted.

Issei quickly agreed, earning a glare from her. To add a small amount of salt to her, he sang "You know the rules, and so do I."

"And you still have five more boxes to open. There should be chances to get the SP of Gauntlet Buster Dragon." The boy added before the girl would start a tantrum again.

The girl sighed before opening the next pack, sorting through them one by one, with Akeno keeping track of the total value of the cards they had opened.

Sona opened her fourth pack before her eyes widened in excitement and exclaimed at the top of her lungs. "I got a SP Ashlei!" The girl quickly shows a glittering card depicting a beautiful valkyrie-like woman.

Issei and Akeno praised the blue haired girl's luck as they admired the new card while Rias pouted in the background, feeling left out by her poor luck.

She silently continued to open her sets of packs, feeling discouraged by how she had not gotten anything she could brag about. As she wanted to give up, she saw two glitters before quickly looking at them. A smile so big it became worrying plastered on her face and pure joy came into her.

"Guys! Look what I got!" She quickly showed the cards in her hand, earning the shock of her friends. "Alfred and Wingal! SP versions too!"

Issei's jaw dropped as he was unable to comprehend the girl managed to get not one, but two rare cards in one pack. Akeno and Sona giggled at his reaction while the boy quickly went on a triade on how it was not possible to have this insane luck.

'Well, she does have devil's luck.' Akeno thought to herself while the scene played out.

Observation

Issei narrowed his eyes, trying to gain a better sight for his analysis. He tried to understand whatever was happening in front of him yet he still couldn't make sense of it.

"Hey, why are you staring at the girls so intensely?" Sona quickly called the boy out as she sat beside him on the grass. Her gaze took her to the running field where their fellow classmates were running through the field, Rias and Akeno were among them.

Issei scratched his head in frustration before lowering his head. "I just can't figure out…" He smacked his head a few times. The girl placed her hand on his head and comforted the boy from his frustration.

"What's something you can't figure out? Maybe I could help." She's the brain of the team after all, surely she can solve it.

But Issei doesn't believe it by shaking his head. "You wouldn't believe it if I said that."

"Try me."

The boy looked backed up then pointed at the running girls, more specifically Rias. "Look at her chest."

Sona raised an eyebrow, nearly going to ask him if he was ogling at his friend but his narrowed gaze told her otherwise. Following what he was observing, she stared at her best friend's breast as it bounces.

"Nothing's wrong with it."

"Bullshit!" Issei exclaimed, but not loud enough to catch the attention of their teacher. "How is it possible that she has Gainax jiggle physics?!"

Now that Sona really looked at it, she could see that ,for some reason or another, Rias's breasts were jiggling in an exaggerated manner and individually as if they had gravity of their own. "What the heck?"

"You get what I mean now?!" Issei's indecorous expression hammered home on his confusion as Sona tried to make sense of it. "Not just her, Akeno and you do that too!"

Sona paused, looking at Issei as if the boy had gone insane. "No way." To her, that was impossible. "My breast is not that big to do that."

The boy gave her a deadpan expression before pointing at it. "Says the one who needs to buy new sizes every half a year."

Just as Sona was about to retort, she was called by the teacher to do a run with another batch of students. She turned to Issei with a gaze that told him they will speak more later. The boy just waved her off, leaving her to the fields.

Boing boing

… Okay maybe he has a point.

Not wingman

Issei was seen resting his head on his table taking a nap. Today was a rare occasion where none of his friends were free enough to have lunch together, leaving him bored. There were classmates he could converse with about their collective hobbies but he wanted to be alone.

Only to be ruined by someone calling him out.

"Oi Issei."

Said boy woke up from his lunch nap and looked up to see two of his classmates. He doesn't remember their names, not that he bothered trying.

He grumbled as his nap got interrupted by those students, but since he made it known he was awake he might as well entertain them. "What do you want?

One of them, who was wearing glasses, raised their hands, trying to pacify the grumpy boy. "Hey hey, no need to be so grumpy. Just a quick question."

"Shoot."

"Are you dating one of them?"

Issei blinked. Another blink. "I need more context for that." Because for the life of him he couldn't understand the question.

The other classmate rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed by Issei's reaction. "I mean are you dating one of the Madonas of Kuoh. You know…" He counted up to three with his fingers as he gave out the names of the Madonas. "Gremory, Himejima, or Sitri."

' Oh… so that's what they meant? ' Issei thought to himself. "Nah. I'm just their friend."

The classmates immediately shout at the poor boy. "What do you mean just friend ?! You have three babes sticking with you!"

Issei's tolerance began to take a toll, completely annoyed further when they called his friends 'babes'. "What part of being just friends do you not get? I'm not interested in dating any of them!"

Well, technically one of them. They confessed but decided to hold it off for now as each had their own priorities.

"Then can you introduce us to them?"

Issei gritted his teeth and eyes narrowed. ' Okay, these guys are pushing it! '

"Hell no. Those girls would rather date someone else than you guys." He immediately stood up from his seat and left the classroom. Stomping the poor ground as he ignored the yelling of those two classmates.

He would rather die than letting any of the girls date someone he doesn't approve of!
