Confrontation! ~A Dangerous Duo!~

Empire of The Sun - Path to Pacha's Village

"So Yzma pretty much raised you?" Rito asked as he along with everyone else were quickly following Pacha's lead to his village. They agreed to get supplies and then head straight to the Palace, knowing that Yzma and Kronk would still be looking around for Kuzco to finish the job in the meantime.

"Yeah! She's been around for as long as I've been alive!" Kuzco pursed his llama lips "Scratch that, way longer than I've been alive! She's tried ruling the Empire behind my back a few times before, so I fired her."

Lea blinked "That actually sounds like a legit reason to get fired. Kudos to you for taking the job kinda seriously."

The llama then looked sheepish "...I may have done it mostly because she's an old crone."

Yami scowled "If she's the nightmarish woman you've been saying she is, and she's the one that raised you; then I'm beginning to understand where your callousness towards others comes from."

"C'mon Yami, he realized he made a mistake." Rito gave more sympathy to the Emperor "You don't have to be so hard on him anymore." As they entered the Village Rito took a look around. It was a very grassy and peaceful hilltop, decorated with many huts for the people living here. The people themselves were very relaxed about the new faces entering their village, many of them just going about their daily lives. But as they ran up the stairs towards Pacha's home, an elderly man who was playing a game of chess with another called out to Pacha.

"Hey, Pacha! You just missed your relatives!" The bigger of the two greeted.

They all paused as Pacha questioned "My relatives?"

The skinnier old man nodded "Yeah, we just sent them up to your house. Your wife and kids are with them right now."

Rito looked questioningly at the two while Pacha felt a sinking feeling in his stomach "What did they look like?" he asked

"Well ya see, there was a big guy and this skinny old woman who was, uh..." The thinner old man paused before turning to his fellow player and asked "How would you describe her?"

"Eh, scary beyond all reason." The other villager answered after a moment of thought.

"Yeah, that's it."

Pacha, Kuzco, and Kairi worriedly glanced to each other as Rito gulped.

"That doesn't sound good."

Empire of The Sun - Pacha's House

"So...remind me again how you're related to Pacha?" Chicha asked the old woman in the chair next her. Inside Pacha's home at the very top of the hill, Yzma was having tea that was served by his wife, Chica; who was heavily pregnant with her and Pacha's third child, as the large and round stomach inside of her yellow and orange robes showed.

"Why, I'm his third cousin's brother's wife's step-niece's great-aunt..." Yzma paused for a moment before adding "twice removed." to her polite lie, quickly sipping her tea.

"...Uh-huh." Chica replied with a deadpanned look, clearly not buying any of that. To say that Chica was a little more than skeptical about the new guests would be an understatement.

Well, mostly skeptical of Yzma anyway...

"Isn't that right, Kronk?" Yzma set the cup of tea on the nearby table and turned to Kronk, only to see that her henchman was in the middle of playing double-dutch with Chica and Pacha's two other children; their eldest daughter with pigtails named Chaca, and her younger brother Tipo.

"~Ninety-nine monkeys jumpin' on the bed!~" Chaca cheerfully sang as she and Tipo swung the jump rope around.

"~One fell off and bumped his head!~" Kronk sung along while hopping over the rope. He clearly wasn't paying attention to the conversation Yzma and Chica were having and was instead happily enjoying himself along with the children.

Yzma quickly rolled her eyes at the sight before turning back and smiling widely at Chica, pretending that nothing was out of the ordinary.

"You know, I am so sorry that you had to come all this way. But as I said to you before; you may recall, Pacha is not here." Chica apologetically explained. "I'll be sure and tell him you came by."

"Oh, would you, please? That would be just great!" Yzma replied as she swung her arm, 'accidentally' hitting her cup of tea onto the floor. "Oops! Silly me!"

"No, no. Allow me." Chica dryly offered. The black haired woman bent down with difficulty; using the table as leverage to retrieve the cup. Yzma used this distraction to surprisingly athletically join the hopping game with Kronk, playing paddy-cake with him while whispering-

"She's hiding something. When I give the word, we search the house."

"Okay, but I still have ninety-four monkeys to go." Kronk whispered back, which only made Yzma growl and quickly return to her original position in the chair before Chicha even noticed her move.

"So, while we're waiting for Paca-"

"Pacha." Chica corrected the old woman.

"Oh, yes. Perhaps we can have a tour of your lovely home?"

"You know, why don't you just come back when Pacha gets home? I'm sure he'd love to show you the..." Chica began to suggest, only to trail off when she glanced out a top-open door of her home and saw Pacha; who held a panicked expression and hurriedly jerked his thumb in the direction of their kitchen and back door before vanishing.

Chica quickly took the hint "Whaaa...Excuse me, won't you? I think I left something in the oven." She made up an excuse and slipped into the kitchen where she knew her husband would meet her.

Kronk in the meantime was swinging two ropes while the two children hopped "This is my variation of double dutch. On the signal, we switch places."

"Kronk, it's time." Yzma slipped back towards him, seizing this as their chance to search the house.

"O-KAY!"

Only for Kronk to not take that hint and instead took this as the signal for the game. He and the kids quickly; and comically, switched around and now Yzma was the one swinging the ropes in the middle, much to her irritation.

Empire of The Sun - Pacha's House (Kitchen)

"-So we have to get back to the palace, find the lab, and change him back." Pacha finished, having explained the entire scenario he found himself in as of late to his wife. It also hard confirmed Chica's suspicions about the two guests in her home; they indeed had less than noble intentions.

"Hi there!/Hello!" Kuzco and Rito suddenly greeted, simultaneously sticking their heads up to the window near the couple.

*CLONK!*

Chica; startled by the quick greeting, grabbed a large frying pan and without thinking smacked both the transformed Emperor and Rito right in their faces with it! Knocking Kuzco to the floor more than halfway to the point of unconsciousness. Rito also fell to the floor, holding his face in his hands as he writhed in agony from the frying pan.

"Oof..." Lea winced along with Kairi and Pacha.

"Um...That was him and Rito." the peasant pointed out weakly.

"Whoops." Chica winced herself, realizing her mistake.

Rito took a few moments before he slowly got up from the ground "Ehug...it's okay, miss." he groaned "I shouldn't have surprised you like that...ow..."

Chica gave him a worried look. "Will you be alright?" He seems like such a nice boy.

Lea strolled up as the boy turned and walked away; still massaging his face. "Just give him some time. He'll be back in tip-top shape."

"Oh! You guys must be the exterminators Pacha told me about." Chica spoke with a smile to the remaining trio she hadn't yet addressed. "Thank you for looking after my husband."

"No prob." Lea replied with grin and a thumbs up along with Kairi while Yami just silently nodded.

Chica looked up to her husband as they neared the back door, and told him "Go, I'll stall them long enough for you guys to get a head start."

"Thanks, honey." Pacha thanked her with a kiss before making his exit.

"You have a lovely wife." Kuzco wobbly got up, still dazed from the blow of the frying pan "They're both very pretty." he spoke in delirium before Lea and Kairi grabbed him and they; along with Yami and a recovered Rito, followed behind Pacha while Chica went back into the living room.

Empire of The Sun - Pacha's House

"So, where were we?" Chica spoke as she returned, pretending as though nothing was out of the ordinary. However, Yzma had gotten into a sour mood due to dealing with Kronk's antics and the small boy; 'tico' was it? Trying to guess how dang old she was.

"Listen, sister! We're not leaving until-"

"I show you the house. Of course!" Chica fake smiled as she finished for the older woman, grabbing and dragging her along, confusing Yzma.

Empire of The Sun - Path Away From Pacha's Village

"Was it a good idea to leave your family with those two?" a concerned Kuzco asked Pacha as they all ran for the palace.

"Oh, don't worry. They can handle themselves."

Empire of The Sun - Pacha's House

Eventually, Chica and her kids were standing in front of a locked closet with the handle removed from the door and in the mother's hands. Even better, they had trapped Yzma and Kronk inside, preventing them from catching up to Pacha's group. The trio were having a bit of fun doing this and Yzma's patience had quickly ran thin after their incessant mocking.

"All right, I've had enough." Yzma declared from the darkness of the closet inside, glaring at Kronk and commanding him. "Kronk, break the door down!"

"Break it down? Are you kidding me? " Kronk asked incredulously, studying the door and remembering- "This is hand-carved mahogany."

Yzma rolled her eyes "I don't care, you fool! Get out of my way! I'll do it myself!" and pushed him aside, beginning a countdown...

"One!"

When they heard this, Chica turned to her children and told them with a smirk. "Okay, kids. You know what to do."

"Two!"

"Right Mom!" Tipo and Chaca cheerfully responded in unison and rushed off to carry out what they had planned.

"Three!"

As soon as Yzma said three, Chica quickly replaced the handle and yanked the door open. The older woman inside had braced herself and ran out in high-speed without realizing she hadn't hit anything until it was too late.

What followed was a series of slapstick events at Yzma's expense. First, she went sliding on the slippery floor which Tipo had polished, then Yzma hit the higher door after Chaca opened up the lower one leading outside, causing her to slip under and crash into a wooden Wheel Barrow; which began to roll downhill at high speed. Next, she hit a bee-hive held on a stick by Tipo on the way down, causing honey to cover her body even after she pulled off and threw the hive away, and finally hit a feathery pillow that Chaca held out in front of her. Just as Yzma realized she was now covered in the feathers from the pillow, the Wheel Barrow slammed into rock which sent her catapulting into the air...right towards a kid's party as blind-folded children were getting ready to attack a chicken-shaped pinata.

"Okay children." an older woman; most likely a mother, was getting ready to give them the signal "On your mark, get set..."

In a flash, Yzma's feathered form quickly knocked away the pinata from its string and was stuck there in its place!

"GO!"

The woman signaled the blind-folded children to swing their sticks, and they began excitingly hitting Yzma without realizing a thing!

"Ow! Oh, ow! Stop it, you little brats!" she hissed at the children before looking up and saw several footprints on a trail leading away and up a hill; hoof prints followed by other footprints. As her eyes followed it, she saw a party of six just vanishing over the hill. Five people and one strangely-colored llama were fleeing. After a moment of realization, she caught on to what was happening.

"Oh!-Ow! There they go Kronk! Urgh!-They're getting away!" Yzma began to call out to Kronk as she was still being beaten upon by the children, but then she saw from a distance that he was casually talking to the peasant's family and growled in irritation before yelling at the top of her lungs-

"KRONK!"

Empire of The Sun - Path to The Palace

Everyone followed Pacha's lead to the palace, quickly racing across hilltops and through jungles towards their destination. But not too quickly in order to prevent being exhausted by the time they got there. Rito looked back and noticed Kronk from a long distance away; following the group with Yzma in the carry tent on his back.

"Hey guys!" Rito started to warn the others "We might wanna hurry-WOAH!" He along with the rest of Pacha's group suddenly came to a halt at a massive ravine. "Oh no!"

But thankfully, Pacha had brought along from his home a bow and arrow with some rope. With one end of the rope tied to a nearby tree, he attached the other end of the rope to the arrow and fired it to another tree on the other side of the ravine. Once the group made it secure by using a rock and more rope; creating a makeshift zip-line, they slid over one by one by one; even if Rito hesitated before Yami shoved him down the zip-line, with Yami herself flying across soon after.

When she landed on the other side, Yami quickly sliced the rope of the zip-line to stall and prevent their pursuers from following them as her group went on ahead. However, the two villains were prepared for a situation like this; as they put on pilot goggles and Kronk pulled a string on the tent, causing a set of bat-like wings to expand out of the top. He jumped off and the duo went gliding their way towards the other side of the ravine! Kronk gave Yzma a thumbs up while the latter cheered as they soared-

*BOOM!*

Only for a random lightning bolt from a conveniently placed storm cloud to strike them from above, reducing the entire tent into nothing but burnt sticks and the two villains themselves charred crispy black with frozen expressions. They hung there for a few seconds before comically falling into the ravine below and getting rained on. Pacha's group watched from afar before giving each other shrugs of varying levels, being grateful to whatever deity was smiling upon them today.

Empire of The Sun - Yzma's Secret Lair

Having finally made it to the Palace, the group followed Kuzco as he lead them towards the secret lab, which its entrance was in a not-so-secret chamber with a wall where a statue of a beast's head stood with two tusks acting as levers. Unfortunately, Rito in his rush to get to the lab, pulled the wrong one, causing he and Yami to fall through the unexpected large trap door! In time, the two re-emerged from the entrance and a soaked deadpanned 'Done with this'-looking Yami walked in dragging a just as soaked and heavily breathing Rito behind her. Not only that, but a Crocodile was comically biting onto the end of Yami's long hair. Having had enough, Yami reeled in the crocodile and kicked it with her boot-heel, sending it away yelping.

"T-Thank you." Rito thanked the girl "Why does she *gasp* even have *gasp* that lever?!" he loudly questioned between inhales and exhales.

She and eventually Rito rejoined the group just as Pacha pulled the correct lever. The floor and wall flipped inward, taking them with it and they then landed into what appeared to be a dark roller-coaster cart of sorts. Pacha and Kuzco landed in the front seats while Lea, Kairi, and Yami landed in the back. As for Rito...

"Mrrpphh!" He had somehow been squished into the space between the front and back seats; head stuck underneath where Yami sat, meaning he was getting a face full of her butt and...urm...

Yami's face flushed red as she quivered at the invasive sensation she felt down below "I hate perv-"

But before she could finish, black bars swiftly snapped onto the legs of everyone in the cart, much to their surprise.

"Please remain seated, and keep your arms and legs in at all times." a synthetic voice rang out.

*Whoosh!*

The cart quickly and immediately went down and around in a twisted wild lane into the deepest reaches of the lair. Kuzco, Pacha, Lea and Kairi were screaming at the sudden ride they found themselves in, while Yami just tried to uncomfortably bear with what she was feeling underneath her. Rito's muffled screaming tickling her down...there...did not help.

The cart eventually came to a quick stop and had everyone fall out. Miraculously, all except Rito; who landed in a heap on the floor, landed safely on their feet. But both Kuzco and Pacha were suddenly wearing lab coats and goggles; Kuzco was wearing a coat that was much too big for him, and Pacha was wearing one that was more fit for a female form and as a result, much too small. They looked to each other in confusion before shaking off the unexpected extra clothing and hurried over to a nearby large lab table while Lea searched around the dimly lit lair itself; noting that Vexen would probably feel right at home here.

"What does it look like?" Pacha asked quickly as he checked each unlabeled vial on the table.

"I don't know, keep looking." Kuzco replied doing the same thing, realizing how Kronk managed to make his mistake in the first place.

Meanwhile, Rito was trying to gather his bearings and catch his breath before he looked up and went white with fear as Yami loomed over him with an aura of menace around her. Having realized where his head was stuck under; or rather who, he quickly backwards crawled away as the blonde advanced, locks of hair raising into the air, only stopping when Kairi stood in her path.

"Now Yami. It wasn't Rito's fault that time." Kairi was in front of Rito with a nervous smile, trying to protect him and calm Yami down "Don't you think we have more important matters right now?"

"BINGO!" Lea suddenly called out, for he was in front of an owl statue cabinet that he'd just opened and found what they were looking for; various potions with images of each transformation underneath each one.

Yami looked between Rito and Lea before lowering her hair and giving Rito a cold glare before heading in Lea's direction along with Pacha and Kuzco. Kairi helped Rito up to his feet and they soon joined the others.

"Let's see...Lions, Tigers, Bears..." Lea scanned each image under each vial, but as soon as he got to the human image, the shelf above was empty.

"Oh my..." A chilling voice spoke behind them. As the group quickly turned, a figure stepped out of the shadows; this figure...

"Looking for this?"

was Vexen; who was holding the very vial they wanted with a satisfied twisted smile!

"Hey it's you!" Rito exclaimed "That guy that was at the bridge the other day!"

"Ah Excellent." In an instant, the vial was taken from Vexen's hands; much to his own surprise, by...Yzma?!

"I don't know how you got here, but good work...umm...what was your name again?" she asked.

"Vexen." the scientist answered, recovering from his shock with a half-bow.

"N-No way!" Kuzco sputtered in disbelief at the sight of Yzma "It can't be!"

"H-How did you get here so quickly?" Kairi asked in just as equal disbelief. "We saw you fall into a ravine!"

"Ah-" Yzma brought up a finger as if she was about to explain to the girl, but stopped short "...Um. How did we, Kronk?"

"Well ya got me." her nearby henchman who was still wearing the charred tent shrugged before reaching up and pulling down a conveniently placed map that showed the paths both teams took, with Yzma's and Kronk's following Pacha's until going straight down into the ravine from earlier "By all accounts, it doesn't make any sense."

Yzma shrugged also "Oh well. Back to business." and just accepted it. Meanwhile Lea gave a suspicious leer to Vexen, who shook his head 'No' and was just as puzzled.

"But to think that he actually managed to fool others into helping him regain the Empire." Yzma mused as she studied Lea and the others "What false promise did he give you? Riches? Royal Power? Fame?"

"He didn't fool us, and he didn't promise us anything!" Rito started refuting but-

"Yes he did. In fact; it was a false promise that initially fooled us in the first place." Yami very bluntly reminded him, causing Lea to facepalm.

"Really not helping his case, Little Blonde."

Kuzco nervously chuckled "Okay I admit it. Maybe I wasn't as nice as I should've been. But Y-Yzma, you really wanna kill me?"

"Just think of it as; your being let go. That your life is heading in a different direction." she gestured as she recalled these words, enjoying the look of pure horror growing upon Kuzco's face "That your body is now part of a permanent outplacement."

"Hey, that's kinda like what he said to you when he fired you." Kronk pointed out as he took off and got rid of the burnt tent.

"I know. It's called cruel irony." Yzma deadpanned. "Like my dependence on you."

"...That seems like a small reason to want to take his life." Rito noticed simply. "Can't you just look for another job? Or at least work something out with Kuzco?"

"It ain't that simple." Lea spoke a bit lowly "It's about her desire to take the Empire for herself, and she's willing to eliminate Kuzco to achieve it. Losing the job was just the tipping point. Isn't that right?"

"I at the very least thought years of service would give Kuzco some pause. But as it turns out, he just as callous about me as the rest of the people under him." Yzma's face slowly changed to one of anger "Can you imagine my indignation at being fired by that spoiled brat despite it all?!"

"So killing him really was your first decision? Even after practically raising him your whole life?" Kairi gave the old woman a hard look. "I won't pretend that Kuzco was a kind man when we first met, but it sounds to me like you didn't ever care much about Kuzco at all."

Yzma laughed "Ha! Who would? Do you have any idea how many people he stepped on without a care in the world? Even if he were to regain the Empire, you must wonder if the people would truly be grateful to you. I'm certainly not the only one who wouldn't care if he never returned." she turned to her henchman "Isn't that right Kronk?"

Kronk, who seemed a little distant from the debate, jerkily nodded in confirmation "Oh yeah! People at the eulogy seemed uh...quick to just move on with their lives."

"...So what if he was a not so great person in the past?" Rito spoke up after a moment of pause "What matters is that he realizes that he wants to change himself; to be a better person and make up for what he did."

Vexen took this opportunity to chuckle darkly "Hmhmhm. Don't you realize he's just taking advantage of your naivety?

"Hmm? Naivety?"

"He's talking about your simplicity and how other people might use it to make you do things that are only good for themselves." Yami explained with a blunt look, feeling like this might become a normal thing.

Rito's eyes widened "...That kinda sounds like what you were talking about earlier, Yami. About the whole 'Helping the wrong kind of person' thing." he pointed out.

"The point is; do you really believe after a few days of living with the curse of being a llama, the former Emperor will change his ways so easily?" Vexen was now frowning "Remember what I spoke of about betrayal, boy."

'Man he's really hung up about that whole Castle Oblivion incident, huh?' Lea thought to himself with a narrow-eyed expression.

Rito cast his gaze downward in what looked like sad contemplation "...Okay yeah. There were times where he really wasn't a nice guy. I thought he was a bully, and I don't like bullies..."

Kuzco somewhat flinched at that before Rito snapped his head back up, gathering his courage and conviction "But he's done good stuff too! He saved Pacha's life when it really came down to it and he even was able to see he made a mistake about the things he said. We've been partners for the past few days and through traveling together, Kuzco realized just how much of a good guy Pacha is, and how good we are too." he brought a hand to his chest "So I am gonna keep believing; believing in the good within his heart, just like Pacha. Because that's not only what a team does, it's what friends do for each other!"

Hearing this from Rito made Pacha, Lea, and Kairi smile. Kuzco himself was touched by Rito's faith in him. Recalling the things that have happened in the past few days; it made him realize that Pacha, Rito, Kairi, Lea, and...maybe Yami...they cared about him. And to be believed in by someone, not because of his riches or royal status, but because that's what friends; his new friends, do.

He found the feeling to be rather nice...

Yzma rolled her eyes "Oh enough of this gunk." before pulling out a jagged knife from behind her and tossing it to Kronk. "Finish them off." she ordered. For a while Kronk debated internally, switching his gaze from Yzma and this Vexen fellow to Pacha's group. They sure seemed like nicely knit together guys...but he couldn't go against Yzma, could he?

"You're not backing down now, are ya big guy?" Kronk suddenly heard a familiar squeaky voice and not too long later, a smaller version of himself wearing a red devil suit and holding a red pitchfork poofed to him on his left shoulder.

"Oh hey, it's you." Kronk recognized this as his Shoulder Devil. "Uh where's the other guy?" he pointed to his right shoulder. Just then, a smaller version of himself wearing a halo and a white robe with angel wings poofed to him on said shoulder.

"Sorry I'm late, what'd I miss?" his Shoulder Angel asked in a just as squeaky voice.

"Well, you see Yzma just tossed me this knife and-"

Meanwhile, everyone else could only stare as Kronk spoke and gestured to people who were not there. They shared glances of varying levels of bewilderment and concern as the big guy continued talking to thin air.

"Is he okay?" Rito eventually asked everyone else in particular.

"Kronk has always been a little...out there." Kuzco explained to him before Yzma harshly called out to her henchman.

"Kronk!" He and his other two selves snapped to attention as Yzma continued "Why did I think you could do this? This one, simple thing. It's like I'm talking to a monkey!" she insulted.

Kronk's Shoulder Devil took offense. "Woah now."

"A really. Really. Big. Stupid. Monkey named Kronk!"

"Ouch." His Shoulder Angel winced.

"And you want to know something else? I never liked your Spinach Puffs!" she declared with cruelty, causing all the Kronks to gasp dramatically as she sneered with a twisted glee "NEVER!"

Of all things; this seemed to hit Kronk the hardest, causing him to start quietly sobbing as his Shoulder Angel consoled him by patting his cheek.

Lea smirked "If this is all about Kuzco's cruelty, maybe she should look in a mirror."

"That's it!" Kronk's Shoulder Devil somehow cocked his pitchfork like a gun and fumed, not willing to take Yzma's insults anymore "She's going down!"

"Now now." The Shoulder Angel tried to calm him "Remember; 'from above, the wicked shall receive their just reward.'"

Ignoring Yzma's glaring, Kronk looked up along with his other selves and saw that she was standing directly underneath a chandelier, hearing an angelic choir as he got an idea.

"That'll work." He and his other selves muttered and to everyone's surprise, Kronk cut the nearby rope that was holding the chandelier up, sending the entire thing hurdling towards Yzma who could only gasp in shock.

*CRASH!*

The impact caused everyone aside from Yami to wince away. But when they looked back, they stood dumbfounded...as Yzma skinny frame cause the chandelier to crash all around her, completely missing the ex-advisor via a hole in the middle of said chandelier.

Yami stood with a deadpanned look "That's usually effective."

"I know right." Kronk agreed with the blonde.

Yzma hurried to a nearby table with a long lever-like vial "And so is this!" she declared as she pulled it down, revealing it to be an actual lever and opening a trap door right underneath Kronk!

"Huh, should've seen that coming-Woahhhh!" The big guy fell along with his other selves; who hugged each other for dear life as they dropped down to who knows where.

While Yzma gazed at where Kronk had fallen. Pacha took this opportunity to get close and snatch away the vial from the old woman. "Auh! Give me that vial!" Yzma demanded, climbing onto his shoulders and pounding him on the head. The blunt force made Pacha let go and she snatched it back, but the two continued to fight over it with Kuzco trying to aid his new friend, but he wasn't sure when to hop in.

"C'mon, we gotta help!" Rito exclaimed as he along with the rest of the team ran towards the fight. But-

"I do not think so!" Vexen summoned Dusk and Creeper Nobodies to keep them from getting involved. Eventually, Yzma landed hard onto Pacha's back, forcing him to let go of the vial he'd managed to retrieve. Though Yzma laughed in victory, Kuzco used his head and rammed her hard from behind, causing her to fly across the room, the vial dropping onto the floor harmlessly.

The others saw the old woman flying to them and quickly dodged out of the way. Yzma slammed into a few Nobodies and into the owl cabinet hard enough that not only flattened the strange creatures, but caused the vials inside said cabinet to all come tumbling down over Yzma and getting mixed up with human potion that Kuzco and Pacha were chasing after. And since they were all unlabeled and looked exactly the same...

Vexen rolled his eyes at the sight of the two trying to figure out which vial was the one they actually wanted. 'And this is why I label my work.'

"Oh which one? Which one?" Yzma mockingly teased as she got up from the floor and hurriedly moved to a nearby cord; pulling on it and causing a loud alarm to ring out. "You'd better hurry. I'm expecting company!"

Suddenly, three walls in the lab opened up and revealed Red and Blue painted guards looking primed and ready for battle!

"Kill them! They murdered the Emperor!" she lied. Nevertheless, all the guards let out a war cry and charged!

"No wait, I'm the Emperor! It's me, Kuzco!" Kuzco cried out trying to stop them, but he went ignored "They're not listening to me!"

"Just take 'em all!" Pacha told him as the he and Kuzco used the Poncho the peasant was wearing as a makeshift bag for all the vials. The guards closed in on the two, weapons going for the kill-

*Cling!/Shing!/Clang!*

But their weapons were all blocked by Yami; who had rushed to them and transformed multiple locks of hair into very large and sharp curved blades, using them to catch all their weapons in a blade lock!

"Move and I cannot promise you'll leave without injury, gentlemen." she coldly told them, causing the guards to quiver with fear.

"What is she?!" one timidly wondered.

"She's scary!" another cried out in terror.

Yami looked over her shoulder at Pacha "Go. Find a way to restore him to normal."

Pacha got up from the floor, making sure not to spill any of the vials out of his poncho "Right!"

"C'mon, let's get outta here!" Kuzco motioned his head towards one of the open walls leading out before he and Pacha made a run for it. Suddenly, an ice block from Vexen appeared above Yami and dropped down. She sensed the threat to herself and jumped to the side, forcing her to let go of her blade lock on the guard's weapons in the process as the ice block crashed onto the floor.

"Get them!" Yzma commanded her guards, pointing to where the pair had run off to. The guards regained their composure now that Yami wasn't in the way and let out a war cry once more before charging in the direction Yzma had pointed.

"You go after the former Emperor and his peasant. My associates and I-" Vexen motioned to his Nobodies "-will handle the rest here. You will find his other companions to be quite troublesome indeed if you faced them yourself. Rest assured that they will be dealt with, Your Grace."

Yzma darkly grinned at the aid from the unexpected, but not unwelcome new ally. "If you insist." she hurried off after the guards and more importantly; Kuzco and Pacha. While Lea and his group where in the middle of combat with the Nobodies, Vexen teleported to a nearby lab table and analyzed several of the potions before slowly grabbing three vials.

Meanwhile, Lea and the others had just finished defeating the Nobodies that had surrounded them and turned to confront Vexen. "Now your helping the old bag? What exactly are you trying to get outta this?" he questioned the scientist at the lab table.

"The power of transformation..." he wistfully stated, seemingly ignoring Lea as he mixed the potions together into a single large bottle. "Such a power could be quite dangerous if its applications were mishandled." he added his own small dose of nothingness to the vial, causing the reddish-pink liquid inside to glow and the bottle to radiate with small tendrils of nothingness. "Wouldn't you agree?" he asked with a sinister smile, bringing up the bottle to eye level.

Yami's face twitched as Rito responded "What do you mean?" he got into a defensive position, really wishing he and his friends could hurry and go help Kuzco and Pacha. Another Dusk then appeared close to the lab table nearby Vexen, and the scientist quickly tossed the large bottle at the Nobody!

*POOF!*

There was a massive explosion of pink and red smoke, and from within that smoke the Dusk had started to grow in size and transform! First, its two white legs exploded into eight; four legs on each side of it ending in grayed sharp tips. Then, a white Scorpion tail shot out from behind, curling up and ending in a nasty-looking stinger. The Dusk's body became bigger and started to grow sharp quills like a porcupine. It's arms, hands, and face became more feline; like a leopard's, with sharp fangs and claws that look like they could tear anything to shreds. Two long, wavy whiskers were protruding out of the creature's face and going back, but the top of its head remained similarly flat from before, with the nobody symbol decorated on top of it. All-in-all, the Dusk had transformed into a large vicious 'Chimera' that towered over Lea's group!

"Perhaps a demonstration is in order!"

This is it folks. One more chapter to go for this World.

No Author's Notes this time. For this chapter was the turning point of this entire World's story and I would want to cover that next time.

Speaking of...Next Time! A chase and a brawl!
