Get ready, because this is going to be a rollercoaster of a chapter!

"The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds, and the pessimist fears this is true."

WARNING: Rated T for vulgar language.

And just like that, Bloom's world was just turned upside-down. Why couldn't she go to Alphea anymore? What was Adolescens Metamorphosis? Did Faragonda find out about Dark Bloom?

What's going on? Why? I don't know! And is it just me or does Faragonda seem a little bit angry? It's not just you, but I think she's trying to hide it. Well, she's doing a shitty job!

Faragonda looked soberly at her distressed student and sighed sadly, "Bloom, at the end of these three days, you won't be a fairy anymore. You will be a witch, but if you want to continue in your magical education you can go to Cloud Tower.

"Bloom's eyes widened as she tried to take the news in. I thought you said that I could choose! I read somewhere that you could! I don't know what the fuck is going on, but at least you'll have a chance to practice dark magic! When did you have the time to read without me knowing? Shadowhaunt, duh. I only read a few paragraphs! And that explains why your information was false! When you read, you read the whole thing! Who has time for that when there's a whole world to destroy?! You are ridiculous!

"Why did this happen to me?" Bloom asked, frustrated and flustered, looking down at her hands, which were shaking in anger.

"Genetics. When you choose which magical to be you go off of what your parents were and what genes they carry." Faragonda explained, "The most dominant gene is what you become, but you can still carry other genes to pass on through generations. If you are more than 50% of a type of magical any trace of what else was there disappears.. Let's say your mom was a fairy and your dad carried witch genes, mermaid genes, and fairy genes. The fairy genes are more than 50% so any witch or mermaid genes you would have carried disappear. People usually know their ancestry very well and that's why Adolescens Metamorphosis is very rare."

"But I thought Mariam was a fairy and Oritel was a hero, so shouldn't I be a fairy?" Bloom wondered.

Faragonda sighed as she looked at Bloom and softly put her hand on Bloom's shoulder, "Domino was a very unique planet.. your mom was 40% witch, 15% fairy, and 45% nymph, and your dad carried 40% nymph genes, 20% fairy genes, and 40% witch genes. That would make any of their children 40% witch, 45% nymph, 15% fairy, so they would be nymphs."

"Then why am I a witch?" Bloom questioned.

Faragonda's facial expression changed from sympathetic to angry for a split second, but that split second was enough for Bloom to notice. Faragonda once again looked at Bloom sympathetically, "Perhaps when you were under Darkar's control it changed something.. consider my offer about going to Cloud Tower.. and please don't ever forget to be a light."

Bloom wanted to roll her eyes, but resisted. Instead she concentrated on Faragonda and tried to sense her aura. Not the aura that surrounds a person- like the one that Stormy saw around Bloom- that was different. This aura was more of a ghost, and it showed what the person really thought. Bloom had used it before to keep her mom from losing her shop when some sketchy guys offered a partnership.

Faragonda's aura seemed to be unhappy. It wore a scowl on its face and was whispering, 'Don't let the brat find out. She'll be a danger to everyone if she isn't already... she'll be gone soon anyway.'

What does that mean? Don't know but I don't like it. She seems to be hiding something.. No kidding. The Trix teamed up with Darkar and Valtor, right? Yeah. Why? Thinking of going with them? No! I just think that maybe Stormy could help me figure out what the fuck Faragonda is hiding. We just need a phone now..

Faragonda's smiled softly at Bloom, stood of from her seat on the bed, and exited the room. Bloom heard quiet whispering just outside the doorway of the infirmary and strained to hear what was being said. The only word she managed to hear was sedative. Faragonda and Ofelia where probably talking about some other student who needed surgery or something.

Bloom sighed as she looked toward Ofelia, who had just come back. "Miss Ofelia?" She called her uncertainly.

Ofelia smiled sympathetically at her when she turned around, "What is it, Bloom?"

"Umm.. Faragonda told me what was happening but I'm not sure I understand what will be going on until my birthday.. and I was wondering how this is possible if my sister is a nymph." Bloom stated as she looked into her eyes.

Ofelia hesitated for a moment before answering, "Well, putting it simply, for the next three days you'll be going through a metamorphosis and will be unable to transform or use your magic properly. Your back hurts because your wings are fading away, and you will have some joint pain due to your magic switching from light to dark."

Bloom looked away and nodded. Clearly nobody is going to tell me why Daphne and I aren't both nymphs, so I'll have to find the answers myself. Let's get out of here and get you a new phone! While we're in Magix, we can go to the library. Fine. I wonder if Stormy would know anything.. or maybe if she doesn't she can teach me dark magic... I mean, I hope we don't run into Stormy! Yeah right! I know that you want to run into your new BFF! Shut up! She's a Trix. And? They're wanted criminals. So? So, the Winx would not approve! They will probably abandon you when they hear that you're going to be a witch. I'm sure they wouldn't... I mean... we're friends..

Bloom looked over at Ofelia, who was digging in some medical cabinets, and quietly asked, "May I go? I'm feeling better."

Ofelia pulled out some blue pills out of the cabinet and nodded, "You may go, but take a few of these. Faragonda wanted you to take them at every meal. They'll make things easier for you."

Ofelia put nine pills in a plastic bag and handed them to Bloom, who stuffed them in her backpack and walked out of the infirmary. I guess we're going to Magix now. Let's go! Maybe we can do some shopping and get you clothes for Cloud Tower!! I never agreed to going there.. I'd be two years older than most of the freshmen. Maybe you could do catch up work over this summer and go straight to the junior year? Perhaps.. but who would teach me? Stormy, duh. She would never agree to that. We'll see.

Bloom walked out of the quad and stepped onto the morning bus, which led directly to Magix. As they zoomed through the forest, Bloom felt a nausea coming over her. She decided to eat breakfast on the bus and pulled out a sandwich she had put in her bag when she left Alphea. She popped one of the blue pills in her mouth and immediately, the nausea washed away, but was replaced with weariness. She proceeded to eat her sandwich before hopping out of the bus, and walking into a nearby electronic store.

Unfortunately the electronic store catered toward both witches and fairies, as it was right on the witch and fairy border. Bloom wasn't necessarily worried about running into witches, she was worried that she'd run into the Winx. She'd have to explain why she left without them and Bloom happened to want to buy a phone in a witch's section in the store, and if the Winx saw her buying a phone with dark magic apps pre downloaded, she'd have a lot of explaining to do.

Bloom walked over to the witch side of the store to see what phones they had, earning a few strange looks from a small group of witches. She always used to be tempted to walk over there and buy a darker colored phone, but she knew that the girls would find out. A black phone caught her eyes.

This one isn't too expensive.. it's five-hundred dollars.. I like it.. hey! Why don't we get a phone case? What's the point when I'll just burn it? Come on! Please! Fine, it don't expect me to buy one ever again..

Bloom took the phone and walked over to look the cases. She saw one that was black and faded into a deep red at the top, then she saw something that made her want to jump for joy. It was fireproof and magic proof!

Why don't they sell these in the fairy areas?! Probably because they're enforced with dark magic.. I don't give a fuck! I wanted to find something like this for ages! So.. are you turning evil now? Shut it! I'm buying these right now!

Bloom grabbed the case and went to the register to pay. As she walked out of the store, she saw Tecna walk in through the other door with Musa by her side. Relieved that she didn't stay in there longer than she did, Bloom hurriedly left and slipped into the witch area.

She eyed a mall that seemed to be calling her name, as Stella would put it, and through the window she could see several darker outfits. Giving in to her temptations, Bloom started walking toward the mall, and boy, Dark Bloom was happy!

Sorry that this chapter took longer to post. I was busy and I had a case of writer's block (Still not completely satisfied with how this chapter came out.) Sorry if it's to short. I'd like to know your opinion on how long a chapter should be. Hope you liked it and don't forget to review!
