EPOV

"I like this, but I'm really not sure about you. I mean, I've been here with my friends before, and some of them didn't like it, so I'm not really sure... Hope you like them." she said nervously while playing with the fork and Pasta.

Was there any way I could make her understand that I didn't really give a damn about food! I just wanted to have a good time with her, and I was really having it!

Plus, Pastas were good anyway!

"I'm sorry, but these are the worst pasta I've ever had in my life." I joked, "It's just horrible."

It looked like she wasn't expecting this response!

"Oh, I... I..." she struggled to find the words.

She was just so... cute!

I laughed.

"I mean, telling the truth doesn't seem to be working, so I thought let me tell you what I think you want to hear." I said.

"Oh!God! You're so..." she said while trying to control her smile.

"So horrible?" I winked.

"Yeah." She replied, smiling now.

That's when I received a call from Dad. I remembered he had sent me the message while I was driving about wanting to sync up before tonight's meeting!

"Just give me a minute. It's Dad. It's going to be a very quick one," I said.

"Yeah, hey, Dad," I said, "Sorry, I saw your message, but forgot to reply. Actually, Jane is going to attend it on my behalf. Can you please sync up with her?" I said.

I had already requested her earlier this evening to attend it since I wasn't in the right state of mind to get any work done anyway.

"Oh, alright," he said, "Talk to you tomorrow then."

"Yeah, bye." I said.

"Sorry about that," I said to Bella.

"Ummm... Can I ask you a question? Now that we're doing this, I think I want to know..." she said after a minute or so, while looking down at her plate.

"You can ask me anything," I said.

"Have you ever been involved with Jane? Like casually or anything..." she asked.

I sighed. Of course, she was going to have these questions.

"Never." I said, "I've known her all my life, and there was never a thought regarding that in my mind. She's a friend, and that's it. And believe me, she feels the same about me."

"I wonder why," she said, "As you said, you guys have known each other all your life. You guys seem very compatible with each other. You said you respect her. You like her intelligence and how smart she is. She seems to be perfect for you."

"Well..." I smiled, "I think you just answered yourself."

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"We know each other too well, and believe me, we're not at all made for each other." I chuckled, "That kiss... Honestly, that happened because she was feeling low that night. It shouldn't have happened, and I know it's never going to happen again."

"Umm... I see." she said. I wasn't sure if she was convinced or not.

"Look, Bella, I know you might not trust me. You don't have to do it today. I know I'd have to earn your trust, and I promise I'll put in all efforts to earn your trust someday."

"Hmmm..." she nodded her head, "Also, what about that woman today? Have you been involved with her before?"

I sighed.

Why was I such an idiot!

Why did I decide that hooking up with Tanya was a good idea!

"Tanya..." I said, "Look, we had hooked up about two years back, and that was about it! She kept pursuing me, but I was never interested in her. And then I met her at the meetup today, and I was like... Probably this was what I needed in my life right now... I wanted to forget about you. "

"You need to trust me when I say I've never been in love and I've never felt anything serious for anyone ever before." I continued, "I know I fucked up. I truly believe hooking up her would help me! But no, it fucking didn't! Your face and your touches were the ones going through my mind when I was kissing her! I'm really sorry you had to see that! I'm sorry!"

"Let's change the topic." she said, "We don't have to discuss this right now, and spoil the date."

She didn't believe me, did she?

But anyway! Maybe she was right. We could discuss this later!

"Anyway, where was I?" I said, "Yeah, these are the worst Pasta I've ever had in my life."

She chuckled.

"Well, I'm sorry about that." she said.

A/N: Guys, I might need to re-write the story! Just look at the threat I received in this guest review!

"Ok, this is beyond obnoxious. Get a beta, until then I'm outtie. The storyline has potential, but you're grammar…or lack there of, is SEVERELY wanting. I'll check back in a few months to see if any progress has been made on the first few chaps. If not I'm dropping it. I don't have time, nor do I want to deal with the migraine, to deal with this type of sh!t writing. Ta for now."

LOL! Jokes apart, I know my grammar is not great. I write the chapter, and post it immediately!

People have generously offered me help for Beta and pre-reading, and I'm truly grateful for that! I've used the help in the past, but I felt so bad when I saw people putting in so much effort to correct everything! I honestly think my stories are not worth wasting anybody's time!

I know reading and reviewing takes a lot of time, too, and I really appreciate you all for doing that!

Please don't take my stories too seriously! They're just not worth it! :)

As always, thanks a lot for reading!
