Ch 19

Finn spotted Threepio and he climbed out for a better look but was face-punched twice by a Brute trooper.

Finn tackled the trooper onto the road.

"RAAHH!"

They both fell but the trooper recovered quicker.

"Last words, FN-2187?" the trooper taunted.

Then a blaster bolt to the head took him out.

"RK-514!" It was the stormtrooper Finn had redeemed from earlier.

"The name's Rafe." the former stormtrooper said.

"I like it." Finn replied.

Rafe helped up Finn and gave him a blaster as Finn saw all the FN units surronding Rafe with a new purpose: freedom.

Kylo entered the Temple of Mortis but Rey blocked him.

"I knew you'd come. The Force is strong in this place? Can you feel it?"

"You're in pain beneath the mask."

That was Rey. Always interfering. Soon Kylo would finally be rid of her by the time this day was done.

"Get out of my head, Rey. You won't like what you find. I'm stronger than Anakin Skywalker. Stronger than his son."

"But you're still afraid."

"Of what? You?"

"Of what you've become. The dark side has left you empty alone."

"I don't have to be alone. With the power of this place, we could rule the galaxy as the Ancients did. The dark side and the light."

"You think I'd still join you after what you did to my family? Were you going to tell me? Weaken me with the truth? I know what you did. Deep down, I've always known. My parents didn't sell me for drinking money. They were hiding from you."

"So you remember. Snoke made his orders clear: find anyone who could destroy him. It didn't take us long to find you."

"You killed my parents."

"You blame me for your life on Jakku. You should thank me for it. You were safe."

"Say it! Did you kill them?"

"I did."

"You murdered Han Solo."

"I'm not here for you, Rey."

"Millions of people."

"All I want is behind that door."

"Then you'll have to kill me."

"I know."

Rey's blue saber ignited first.

Then Kylo's crimson saber.

They both charged and their blades clashed for one final duel.

One of them would not survive.

The Falcon and the Eclipse zoomed towards Coruscant but First Order Sentinel ships spat death with their turbolasers.

A trio of TIE marauders chased the Falcon then exploded in succession.

Chewie's X-wing zipped overhead and the Wookiee let out a victory cry.

"BRAAAGHHH!"

"That's one hell of a pilot!" Lando said.

The Eclipse fired its red superlaser which blew up the Sentinels allowing Resistance fighters and freighters to descend through the billowing fire to planetfall.

Thousands of people joined the Resistance army with the FN units, some with blasters, others with clubs and rocks.

"Rise up" Dade said. "Join the fight!"

A thousand Mandalorian brute troopers blocked the heroes as well as new walkers and tanks that no one had ever seen.

"Stand your ground!" Finn shouted.

Blaster bolts flew everywhere as Resistance members and FN units exchanged fire with the Brute troopers.

A Resistance member threw a grenade and it sent Brute troopers flying sky-high.

More Brute troopers charged in.

"ATTACK!" Finn said.

He blasted a Brute trooper in the head before whacking down another with the back of his blaster rifle and shooting down two more.

The war was on.
