Ch 20
In the battle, a First Order BB droid was sending out a distress signal and R2-D2 sent Threepio to stop him.
Threepio pulled open the BB droid's back panel.
"Please, go quietly." he said before pulling out the droid's wires.
The droid's head fell down with a clang followed by the rest of its body.
R2 sent in his own command.
The First Order tanks pinning down the Resistance members reset and fired their rail guns on the Brute troopers, blasting charred holes into their armor suits.
Resistance transports landed with stolen AT-ATs, AT-STs, and speeders with revolutionary colors, eyes, and teeth.
"We are the Resistance!" Finn said. "All of us!"
On Mortis, Rey and Kylo dueled mercilessly on the steps of the temple.
Rey blocked and parried all of Kylo's strikes but her guard faltered.
"I could have been your teacher." Kylo said. "I could have ended your pain."
VRUM!
Rey sheered off a chunk of Kylo's mask.
Kylo took it off and threw it aside before slashing back.
"You're weakening. The last glimmer of a dying light."
Then Kylo slashed across Rey's eyes and she cried blood.
"AAAHHH!"
"Goodbye, scavenger." Kylo said and he stomped off as Rey fell and passed out.
The Falcon zoomed across the Eclipse, shooting down attacking TIEs.
A Finalizer-class Star Destroyer suddenly appeared from hyperspace and poured out green fire from its turbolasers.
"Engage starboard cannons!" Leia ordered.
The Eclipse rained hell on the Finalizer, blowing it up in a fiery shockwave.
Ten more Destroyers arrived at once!
Resistance starfighters weaved through the skyscrapers, shooting down TIEs and making them crash into skyscrapers and streets.
Ello Asty fired his missiles into the Capitol which dealt heavy damage as explosions rippled across its underside.
Rose snuck through a corridor and saw a group of officers and technicians.
"Ready the hypedrive." the lead officer said. "In the unlikely event our defenses are breached, we'll make the jump to lightspeed."
Rose dropped her mouth open in shock.
The Capitol's a ship?!
The technicians broke away, scanned their IDs, and went through a door.
Rose used her ID to enter before crawling beneath the control room.
"Ready to set coordinates, sir." a technician said.
"Plot a course for the Forve system." the lead technician ordered.
Chewie's X-wing was hit by a TIE marauder and he spun into a dive before crashing in a shower of flames but he and BB-8 survived.
"Incoming!" a rogue FN unit warned.
A new squad of AT-MTs stomped onto the battlefield, shooting down Resistance soldiers with their heavy cannons.
Rose told everyone that the Capitol was a ship and Finn sent R2 to help but he was shot by a Brute trooper.
Finn shot the Brute trooper who dared make that shot but it was too late.
A smoking hole came out of R2.
BB-8 went next, dodging explosions, lasers, and going in between AT-MT legs.
More Brute troopers poured out of the Capitol and blaster bolts flew everywhere.
Chewie shot down three Brute troopers but was shot in the shoulder.
"Chewie!" Finn shouted.
Finn still fired back but more and more Brute troopers and walkers came in.
More Star Destroyers arrived and surronded the Eclipse, pelting the shields with a rain of green blaster bolts from their turbolasers.
Leia bowed her head.
"Luke, I'm sorry."
Kylo finally made it to the temple but was blocked by Luke's ghost.
Kylo swung but Luke caught the saber with his bare hand!
"I'll be stronger than any Skywalker has ever been!"
"You're no Skywalker. The Force surrounds us. It penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together. We are one. Bound by the Force. And we will NOT be broken."
Then the Last Jedi rose.
Kylo charged and their sabers clashed in a shower of sparks.
Rey fought, blindfolded, guided by the Force.
In space, Leia was losing when a massive fleet of smugglers and thieves arrived!
The same ones that had been chasing Han for all his life.
"I thought you could use a few scoundrels." Lando said.
Finn saw Star Destroyers falling all over the place.
"YEAH!" he cheered.
The Falcon swooped in like some mythical bird and zoomed through the legs of the walkers, cutting off the mechanical beasts at the knees.
"Bomb the city!" Hux ordered.
"Our forces are outnumbered, sir." Skellig replied.
Hux went into his chamber, grabbed his vintage purple lightsaber from his collector's case, and gave a sigh before he stabbed himself.
Hux had lost the Star Wars.
Rey drove back Kylo, striking so fast that Kylo could only block.
Then Rey slashed Kylo's saber in half as well as three of his fingers.
Kylo extracted the Living Force from Rey like Valum taught him.
Then Kylo heard his mother's voice.
"Ben. Come home. Help us."
Kylo took Rey's hand and transferred her Living Force back.
Kylo Ren was no more.
Ben Solo had returned.
"Solana. Your name. Rey Solana."
Then Ben disappeared.
He had become one with the Force.
An escape pod flew out of the Capitol Ship.
The Capitol Ship jumped to lightspeed...colliding with a desolate planet, the impact visible for lightyears.
A beacon of hope.
After the war, Rey went to Modesta.
She would teach the Force-sensitive children about the Force.
And the balance of light and dark.
By using both sides, the New Jedi Order would keep peace and justice in the galaxy.
