From captured to breakout
Humphrey and kate were captured by the mysterious wolves and were taken from jasper. Humphrey had awaken in a cell and was chained to a wall and looked around his cell and saw that it was dark.
"Uuh my head" humphrey said laying his head in his hand. Then he remembered what happened kate and humphrey were at the moonlight howl and sharing a kiss until they were hit with darts and were knocked out.
"Kate!" humphrey remembered and struggled against his chains.
Humphrey spent some time pulling on the chains until they broke, he then went over to the cell door to try and find a way to open it, then he heard footsteps and chains rattling. Humphrey thought how to hide he then looked at the roof and saw a window and smirked knowing what to do.
The guards and their prisoner were walking to the cell across from humphreys and listened to what was being said.
"You won't get away with this, my people will come from me and free me, and my father will kill you for this" said a feminine voice.
"Yeah yeah keep talking princess, you won't leave for a while so get used to you new home" one guard said as he tossed her into her cell.
"If you don't behave, will have to think of other ways to- where did the other prisoner go!" another guard said looking over into humphreys cell.
The 2 guards opened humphreys cell door and walked in and looked for any trace of him. What they didn't do was look up which was where humphrey was, he managed to hook his chains around one of the bars on the window and pulled himself up out of sight from the bard doors and waited for the guards to notice and would walk in and check it out.
"Where did he go" one guard said.
"I don't know but we half to find him before-" the other guard said until he was cut off by humphrey dropped down behind him and snapped his neck. The other looked over at the noise and humphrey took his chains and swung them at him hitting him in the face and knocking him down. Humphrey the took the sword on the dead guard and went over to the one still alive, he looked up at humphrey and then humphrey stabbed him in the chest.
Humphrey then saw that he had a pair of keys on him and grabbed them and unlocked his chains. He left his cell and was about to leave until he remembered the girl across from him and saw her.
She had cream fur and had yellow eyes, she got up and said "hey who are you".
"I'm humphrey and I guess you could say I'm the guy who's gonna free you" humphrey said opening her cell and then proceeded to unlock her chains.
"Thank you I am anna I am the princess of the northern kingdom of jasper" anna introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you anna, right now stay close and keep quiet, I have a friend here and I'm not gonna leave her here" humphrey said.
Anna nodded and follow humphrey, first thing humphrey needed to do was to locate his sword. Humphrey luckily had a handy trick for such occasions, given his abilities he also had one where he could track his chosen weapon and he could sense it close by. The 2 wolves stopped at a door and saw that it was an armory and humphrey saw his sword and went over to grab until he heard anna gasp.
"Hey how did you get out of your cell" the rogue said.
"Get off of me" anna said struggling to get free of his grip.
Humphrey saw this and rushed over and dashed past the rouge and his head fell off.
"Thank you humphrey" anna said gratefully.
Humphrey smiled and nodded at her then gestured for them to keep moving. The 2 then proceeded to search for kate through this unknown fortress, and passed by a lit room and humphreys eyes were widened with shock as he saw 5 men standing around kate on her knees chained up smiling evilly.
"You bastards I swear when I get out of this you are dead" kate threatened.
"Yeah keep talking princess, but you won't escape anytime soon" one said confidently.
"What do you rogues even want" kate asked.
"Well you see we are kidnapping princesses from the kingdoms of jasper and going to use them for ransom, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun with you" another said unzipping his pants.
Humphrey got angry and told anna to hide then rushed in yelling. The one who unzipped his pants was the first to die, others were grabbing their weapons and charged at him. One with a sword swung at humphrey but he blocked and redirected it and sliced his throat, another and a spear and charged at humphrey but he drove the spear into the ground and sliced the mans chest.
A wolf with a battle axe had swung at humphrey a few times but humphrey dodged 2 of them and deflected the third one and stabbed the wolf in the throat. The final wolf had kates sword and he walked over to him and the rogue had swung at humphrey but he ducked and stabbed the rogue in the chest.
"Humphrey!" kate cried happily.
"Kate are you ok" humphrey asked kneeling concerned.
"No I'm fine, especially since you stopped them from doing you know what with me" kate said.
Humphrey then unlocked kates chains and handed her sword back to her and kate noticed anna hiding behind a wall peeking around it.
"Humphrey who is that" kate asked.
"Oh thats anna, she was imprisoned here like us" humphrey said.
"Anna, as in the princess of the northern kingdom of jasper" kate asked.
"Yep that's me and you must be kate the princess knight of the western empire of jasper" anna said.
"Yeah now might not be a good time right now girls we need to go" humphrey stated.
The 2 agreed and the trio left the room to escape fortress. They walked through halls and corridors while avoiding rogues passing by for about 10 minutes until the saw a big door and quietly opened it and peeked through and saw the gate entrance and they slowly sneaked over to it until bells rung meaning their escape has been discovered.
"Quick get to the gate!" humphrey shouted.
They all rushed to the gate and saw that it was closing but they barely made it as they slid under it. They ran for the woods when they noticed archers were on the walls, the archers readied and fired a volly of arrows at them. Kate pushed anna behind a rock and her and humphrey deflected them and when humphrey saw an arrow going for kate and saw she wouldn't get it in time he rushed over got in-front of her and sliced it in half.
Kate was speechless at humphreys actions but smiled knowing humphrey is willing to do anything to protect her. After that they quickly got themselves together and ran quickly into the woods.
Half an hour of running later
The 3 stopped running to catch their breath and were gasping for air. They have been running for a while and were exhausted, they couldn't keep it up forever.
"We can't *gasp* rest long we *gasp* need to keep *gasp* moving and soon" kate said still trying to catch her breath.
"Perhaps we can help you out" a voice said.
"AAAH" both kate and anna yelled in fright and hid behind humphrey with his sword out.
"Who are you" humphrey said.
"I am marcell and this is my friend patty" marcell said.
"We are travelers and merchants, and we wish to help you" patty said showing them their cart.
The 3 were skeptical but reluctantly accepted their help, they got in the back and marcell and patty ushered their caribou to pull the cart and they moved on. As they were moving humphrey was wondering about those wolves, that symbol they bared wasn't one he recognized but did hear kate call them rogues.
"Hey kate who were those guys" humphrey asked.
"Those guys are rogue wolves, their made up of knights who abandoned their kingdoms and are alot more organized then your average bandits" kate said.
"Everyone in jasper knows about them, and they all follow their dangerous leader king" anna said.
"What's his story" humphrey asked.
"King was knight once, he once served the western empire once, but he got power hungry and said that my father should step down and let him be the next king" kate said.
"King was a power hungry tyrant, he wanted to 'unite' the kingdoms of jasper, but he just wanted to conquer them and wipeout the omegas since has nothing but hatred towards them" anna said.
"When my father refused he tried to kill him but my father defeated him, king left and swore that he will have his day and left, over the years he manged to gather other wolves who agreed with him and they grown ever since" kate said.
"This is the first move they have made in years, meaning they are trying to put their plan into action" anna said.
Humphrey then understood now and remembered about what that rogue said to kate. So they have a serious problem on the hands but he was going to worry about that later, right now he had to make sure that kate got home safe and would half bare what comes after that.
