This is it folks, the final chapter! I never thought this weird little plot bunny would get as much interest as it did. The funny thing is this fic was my way of dealing with a stressful situation at home. Long story short we had an unexpected guest staying with us so we could help them out. It was only supposed to be for a short time but after many months of stress, them invading my space and everyone else's, they're finally gone.

I was actually in the middle of a bigger more elaborate project also featuring our favorite little Alchemist with many illustrations but with everything going on I just couldn't focus. So I decided to write out this strange crossover not even sure I was going to post it but I found it freeing to write Blitz, a character with next to no filter, to help get my frustrations out. It may have stopped me from doing something that might have got me sent to Hell for real.

While I don't have any plans to make a sequel to this story (my new project will take a while to finish) you never know what plot bunnies might burrow into my head especially with the Hazbin Hotel series coming out this summer.

I've added a preview at the end of this chapter for my next story which I hope to start posting in a week or so. I want to have enough backed up so I can update on a weekly basis and because unexpected stuff can and will happen.

Thank you all for joining me on this wild ride and I hope to see some of you in the next one.

Content warning: Rampant demon hornyness, talk of bullying, talk of murder and illness. Also torture.

Chapter 12

The Fishing Trip

Octavia arrived at I.M.P. a little earlier than planned to meet her Dad. She instantly regretted it when she heard the noise coming from the meeting room and recognized both her Dad's voice as well as his…boyfriend…plaything…fuck buddy? She wasn't sure anymore.

She groaned and was about to leave when she spotted a demon a little younger than herself sitting at a desk while reading her dad's grimoire. He had earbuds in which explained how he was tolerating the noise as he sang along to the music.

"This is the way it ends now!

See it blazing, hear it drumming

Feel how a minute spends now

When you wish you had a minute more

A minute more…"

"That sounds really good." she said casually and laughed as he jumped. "Sorry."

"It's OK just…got lost in my own head for minute." He looked her up and down. "You must be Princess Octavia Goetia, Prince Stolas Goetia's daughter." She wasn't sure whether to roll her eyes or smile. Proper titles were usually demanded by her Mother and Grandfather but it wasn't something she really cared about. She was just a precautionary heir after all and unless her entire bloodline was whipped out it wouldn't matter much anyway. Still, he was being polite.

"You can just call me Via." He smiled as the snake in his hair continued reading.

"My Dad always said it's better to be overly polite than rude. I'm Varian by the way, my Dad works here." She paused for a second. He was a sinner that was for sure so wouldn't that be illegal? The profanity from the next room spiked for a moment and she found herself not caring anymore.

"My Dad's uh…" she just pointed to the wall, the only thing separating them from years of therapy. Varian grimaced.

"Yeah I heard about that, doesn't mean I want to actually hear it." He pointed to the earbud as Octavia pulled hers out as well.

"What was that you were singing? Something from Earth?"

"It's a song for a band I just joined."

"You're in a band?" she sounded excited, she loved music, especially musicians.

"Sort of, Blitz started it." and instantly that feeling died.

"Blitz?" she thumbed in the direction of the wall again.

"Yep."

"Why?"

"No idea." Varian couldn't even remember agreeing, along with half the things that happened on his birthday. Seriously, he was never drinking again. "Loona seems to know something but she's not telling. I've stopped trying to figure out that guy's logic track, all I get is derailed."

Octavian nodded and was about to put her headphones in as well when she noticed Varian's eyes glowing in sync with his snake as he skimmed through the book.

"Does my Dad know you can read that?" Technically the grimoire wasn't supposed to be used by anyone outside of the family. Her Dad could get into a lot of trouble if anyone knew he was trading it for sexual favors with an imp. Sinners shouldn't even be able to read the ancient language. The boy looked up and twitched nervously as if only now realizing he'd been caught doing something highly illegal.

"I-I've been careful. My Dad's still on the other side. I wouldn't be stupid enough to mess with it." He glanced over at Loona who had a full set of earphones on having ignored the two in the other room only glancing at both teenagers this whole time.

"Miss Loona can vouch for me. I've never left the room with it." He had a feeling she wouldn't be his best witness.

"But can you read it? I didn't think sinners could." He closed the book and sighed.

"Yes, I can read it. I don't understand how or why but I can." He looked at her with a serious expression. "Are you going to tell your Father?" Before she could answer there was a series of loud banging on the walls, the profanity becoming much louder and clearer even if it didn't make a lot of sense. Octavia looked at the wall in utter disgust and placed her earbuds in.

"Nope." And so both went back to tuning out the world or at least the next room. Although Octavia did turn her music down when Varian started singing again.

Finally the noises stopped and as they waited Ruddiger found his way in as if he was waiting for the two demons to finish as well. As he cuddled up to Varian, Octavia jumped and ran for the door.

"Hey hey it's OK. This is Ruddiger and yes I know he's a raccoon demon and yes I know he eats other demons but don't worry he's pack bonded with me and won't attack anyone around me unless they're trying to hurt me." The girl was still cautious but Loona nodded so she figured it was alright. She'd never seen one up close before. She reached out her hand and the purple creature butted her hand with his head like a cat wanting to be petted. So she did and was amazed to hear it purr.

"How the fuck did you managed that?" The boy just shrugged again. Maybe she was too quick to just write him off as just a sinner. Between the book and taming an untamable beast he was anything but normal.

"And he won't even attract Blitz?"

"He…tolerates Blitz but clearly doesn't like him." He thought for a moment remembering something from the party. "Now that I think about it, he treats my mother the same way." It made Octavia think about her relationship with her mother. When her parents announced they were getting a divorce she was quick to blame her Dad since he was the one cheating on her Mom (literally still is) but as it turned out things were a lot more complicated than she first thought. She pushed that thought aside. She didn't want to think about that today.

"I didn't think pack bounding was a real thing. Just in fan fics." Varian grimace again.

"I don't know what you guys have been reading online and while I'm curious I'm also afraid to look it up." She smirked, still petting Ruddiger.

"Good call."

"Oh Octavia Dear, you're here early." Stolas was coming out of the conference room quickly adjusting his cape. "I wasn't expecting you for-HOLY HELL!"

"Calm the fuck down Stolas, that's just V's pet." Varian was still surprised at how many people were still scared of Ruddiger but it was still amusing to see.

"His name's Ruddiger your highness." Stolas stared at the creature wanting to pull his daughter away from it but afraid to make any sudden moves and scare it.

"Very…nice young man but…those really aren't meant to be pets." Blitz rolled his eyes.

"You wanna take him away from the kid?" As if he heard him, Ruddiger looked up, daring him to try. "Oh no no he's…fine where he is." The creature curled back up in Varian's lap as Stolas gently nudged his daughter away.

"He's really a good raccoon. The only demons he's ever attacked while around me was that group that raided the office and they were planning to kill us so no loss there." Stolas looked from the raccoon demon to Blitz who confirmed it was true.

Thankfully the book started glowing letting everyone know the portal to Earth was opening. Moxxie and Millie walked out hand and hand covered in blood sporting a top hat and wedding veil. They had to stop a wedding by killing the bride and groom just before they got hitched. The would-be mother in Law paid a lot to have them killed so that her darling grandson could inherit everything. Seeing as how the son had his own mother killed off to get his hands on her fortune no one really felt bad over it. Not even a minute later Quirin arrived carrying a head in a jar. Which was astounding since it was one of those jars that usually had small model ships inside with an opening too small for anything to get in or out.

"I'm starting to think Uncle Hector was right." Commented Varian trying very hard not to try and figure out how his Dad could have gotten that head in the jar. "You would have made a great serial killer." Quirin blushed and he placed the jar on the desk to give to the client later.

"If you're not afraid of being alone in the woods with a serial killer we can get going." Octavia who had been staring at the jar cocked her head at Varian.

"You're going camping with your Dad?"

"Fishing!" He said excitedly. "Well I guess camping too but we've been meaning to go on this trip for a while now. And it's finally here!"

"Oh before I forget son, I have that information you wanted." He handed Varian a slip of paper.

"Well now, this is interesting. Turns out Lyle Lipton and Loopty Goopty's old rival took over their company. Some old lady named Gothel. She used the machine to turn herself young again but it seems the process isn't permanent. She's also got one of Rapunzel's kidneys. Small world isn't it." Blitz over heard and came up.

"Sounds like a potential hit." Varian shrugged.

"Possibly, I know they really hated her but it would be a shame to let that kidney go to waist. I'll let you know what they say." Stolas tilted his head at the strange boy.

"Do you work here?"

"Oh no your majesty, I just do odd jobs for them, things that help keep them safe on Earth in exchange for information." It seemed a little strange but if it helped Blitz from not getting caught again he supposed it was a good thing.

"Well I suppose that's fine." He was purposely avoiding the fact that a sinner was now part of I.M.P. He knew about Quirin from Blitz who couldn't stop praising the man for his murder art and judging by the souvenir on the table he could see he wasn't exaggerating. He gathered the book from the desk not knowing Varian had been reading it just a short time ago.

"Octavian and I have a day planned as well. I'll be teaching her how to use the grimoire!" He said excitedly as Via let a small smile slip out. Despite the…noisy start she was really looking forward to this.

"Looks like today's a family day!" Blitz exclaimed as Loona walked over. "Loona and I are having some bonding time as well!" Loona grunted in response.

"It's just band practice."

"But it's something we get to do together." His eyes grew wide matching his smile. "I'm officially calling today Daddy child bonding day!"

"That's dumb." Loona remarked but Blitz was still on cloud nine.

"Too late! It's official." He glanced at Moxxie and Millie. "Which makes it the perfect time to work on your first." The couple looked at their boss and gasped.

"Sir! Us wanting or not wanting children is a private matter not something-"

"It's none of your damn business is what it is!" Millie said cutting off her husband but agreeing at the same time. It was more than a little unusual, she didn't usually confront their boss. She must feel pretty strongly about this.

"Now if you excuse us, since we're closed for the rest of the day I'm going home and screwing my husband."

"But I thought we-I mean, OK." Moxxie said with a big dopey grin on his face as his wife led him out the door.

The others all left shortly after that to spend some quality family time with their children. None of them noticed Varian slipping a piece of paper into Stolas's pocket.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Quirin and Varian were seated at the edge of the river with their poles in the water and relaxing on a log. It was admittedly a little strange to be so excited about doing something relaxing but this trip was more than just a chance to get away from it all. In life it would have been a chance to reconnect and have a brand new start. In death it was a promise to be kept and a way to really get to know each other after so many years of secrets and lies.

They had talked about a lot of things already. About how Quirin's family was killed when he was just a little older than Varian. He got his revenge and made his first kill. About how that led to him meeting the Brotherhood of the Dark Kingdom where he became an assassin and how they became family. He also talked about meeting Ulla and some of her questionable practices and of their life together before Varian was born. How he struggled after she died which was right after his brothers and sister had already died off as well. It explained why he had been depressed and distant over the years seeing his loved ones die one after another. It made sense why his father had never told him about his Aunt and Uncles. The wound was just too deep.

As for Varian, he finally told his Dad of all his frustrations growing up and being both praised by some people for being so smart and ridiculed by others. The bullying was apparently a lot worse than he let on but since no one could really do anything about it he learned to take care of it himself.

Quirin remembered Varian coming home crying a few times and not really knowing how to help him. He had tried to talk to the parents of the other children but that only seemed to make it worse. And as much as he wanted to he couldn't kill the bullies, he drew the line at killing children. He was tempted with the parents though. He tried to tell Varian not to let the bullies get to him but Varian interrupted that as his Dad being disappointed in him for being so weak. He stopped coming to his Dad after that and unfortunately that made Quirin think that his advice worked and that Varian was standing up for himself. He didn't know he had just gotten better at hiding it.

It was how Varian first got into hacking. If the kids wouldn't get punished for the things they did do he didn't see why he couldn't get them in trouble for other things. He even got some of their parents fired from their jobs with false reports or in some cases uncovering things that they had hidden. They were forced to move, finally leaving Varian alone. A few others he found out secrets and he used these to blackmail some of the other kids and even a few teachers who knew about the bullying and did nothing about it. In the end he did stand up for himself just not in the way his Dad intended.

It did teach him one valuable lesson. If no one was going to stand up for him he now knew he had the power to protect himself. It was why he pushed himself to get through school as quickly as possible. Less time to deal with jerks who were jealous of how smart he was. College was better, college was fun but he did admit he might have been a little too young to fully enjoy the experience. He didn't live on campus but he did go to parties and stayed over at a "friend's" house once or twice to cover the fact that he's been drinking or had tried a little something new. Some he liked and some he regretted. None of which he was ever planning to tell his Dad about.

When he graduated he had the opportunity to go to grad school but even in college he was restricted by his age it would be even worse in grad school. There was so much he wanted to do but it would be another four years before he could even start. The game programming was a stress reliever at first but like everything he did he went all out so the final product was amazing.

With so much praise he decided to continue and as his followers grew he was contacted by a few people interested in his skills…for other uses. He wasn't a stranger to playing around the dark web but he wasn't punishing bullies this time. He knew what he was doing was wrong but the money was too good to pass up. He'd need a lot for grad school later and they still had to pay off college which wasn't cheap. It didn't help that his Dad didn't approve of his gaming job, the one non illegal hobby that he had but by this point he had stopped trying to win his Dad's approval. Even if it was still something he secretly craved. But it was fine, he was fine, he'd practically been on his own for years now and he was handling himself just fine.

And then his Dad got sick and he was anything but fine. As much as he felt like he was alone he was terrified of actually being alone. For as grown up as he acted, he was still just a kid.

Quirin sighed heavily after hearing his son's confession. He had no idea his son was hurting so much and that he was partially to blame.

"I…I'm so sorry Varian. I wish I would have handled things differently." Varian paused a little emotionally drained from his confession.

"I didn't know you tried to talk to their parents."

"I just know that made it worse." He paused thinking how best to phrase the next part. "When I said to not let them get to you, I was trying to make you see that the more of a reaction you give them the more they'll keep bullying you."

"You made it sound like it was my fault they were tormenting me!" Varian snapped. "It's not my fault I was smarter than them. I never rubbed it in anyone's face or called them stupid!"

"I know, it came out wrong."

"It just didn't seem like you cared at all."

"I did care, Varian. I was actually planning to change schools and move you to a private one where the rules were stricter if it would have helped." Varian looked back at his Dad in surprise.

"Yo-you were?"

"But when I didn't hear anything else I just assumed they had stopped. That was a mistake."

Both father and son were silent for a long while after that. Both had confessed things that had been building up for years now. As much as it hurt to hear, they were things that needed to be said.

"Private school is expensive." Varian said almost thinking out loud. "Couldn't even guarantee it would stop new bullies from popping up."

"I would have been willing to try if I thought it would have helped." They were silent again for a while before Varian spoke again.

"It feels weird knowing you used to kill people when we were alive. I feel like this should disturb me more but it doesn't. I'm…not even scared. Is there something wrong with me?" Quirin would have laughed if his son didn't look so serious.

"I thought I would have been disturbed as well but when I made my first kill it felt justified."

"Well yeah, you were avenging your parents."

"But when I started killing for the Brotherhood it felt like a job or a duty. I don't think I had much of a moral conscious for you to inherit."

"And Mom?" Quirin did laugh this time.

"I think she had less than me." Varian was about to ask when he meant when Ruddiger started hissing. They looked up and saw a silent shadow painting an image of a figure standing behind them. They jumped and spun around.

Standing before them was the legendary Radio Demon with this large smile radiating down on the little family.

"So sorry for the interruption." he said in a cheery voice while setting down the bag he was holding. "I was just out hunting when I stumbled across you two." Judging by the size of the bag it was likely another demon or sinner. It was also still moving. "Care for some goat meat?" The bag moved again.

"Ah no thanks," Quirin said, pointing to the fish they had already caught that day. "They're biting pretty good today." His smile only seemed to grow wider.

"Ah, a father son fishing trip! I didn't know people still did those. Good thing to teach your boy Quirin." The man nodded but Varian's head swung back and forth.

"Wait Dad, he knows your name!?" The demon chuckled.

"Of course young Varian. While it has been some time, we've met before." Varian paled.

"The Radio Demon knows my name…" he laughed again.

"Call me Alastor. We're old friends now aren't we Quirin? After all…we made a deal." He sighed but nodded.

"I suppose you're here to collect?"

"Not just yet. I heard about you and your boy and I've been dying to meet you two again. Though I must say I'm surprised to see you so soon." He was looking directly at Varian when he said that last part.

"Me? Why me? And what do you mean we? I don't remember meeting you before." Alastor turned to his Dad.

"Would you like me to tell him?"

"No no, I'll tell him. I was planning to tell him on this little trip but we haven't gotten that far yet." Varian was stunned not just that his Dad knew the Radio Demon but that there was still more hidden family drama. He was already exhausted how much more was there?"

"It happened shortly after your mother had died. You were too young to remember but…you were sick Varian, very sick. The doctors said that there was nothing they could do and told me to just take you home and make you comfortable." His Dad was right; he didn't remember any of this.

"I contacted a friend of your Aunt Adira, she found something in her belongings and said that it might help but it was dangerous. I was despite and ignored all the warnings and in the end summoned a demon." Alastor was waving in the background. "He said he could not only cure you but you'd be healthy for the rest of you natural life."

"For 100 years max. Which is why I was so surprised to meet you at a young 15. Daddy didn't do a very good job protecting you I see." That made Varian angry.

"Hey it's not his fault! He got sick and…" he looked back at his Dad as he realized something. "Is that why you got sick so suddenly?" Quirin shrugged.

"He did mention side effects but I offered to take them for you." And now it all made sense. He knew he was going to die.

"You…for me?" He ran up and started hitting him. "You stupid…you…damn it Dad…" there was no weight in his fist just tears in his eyes.

"The deal was for your father to take the illness from you. He was older and stronger but there was also an unseen ticking clock in the background. In return he would owe me a favor of my choosing if not while on Earth then when he came to Hell. So long as it didn't hurt you or anyone from your family."

The demon explained while his green energy, the type he reserved for deals, illuminated what looked like a contract with Quirin's signature on it.

"I got the full story from some of the residents of a hotel I'm working at. Oh, the drama, oh the plot twists, oh the entertainment! I was right to give you that gift after all my boy, you're already proving to be very entertaining."

"Gift?" Varian looked back at his Dad and back to Alastor. "What gift?"

"It's what kept you well child. A seed, a small sample of my power. As the seed of potential opens up it will grow stronger over time. I've given a few to other people I've made deals with, most of whom crave power." He glanced at the bag no longer moving. "Most cash it in to soon and the end result is very…predictable." He turned and looked Varian straight in the eye.

"Hone your powers well my boy. Let them grow and nurture them. I wanna see what you do with them. I want to see what you make of them." He said eagerly as Quirin stepped up and pulled Varian away.

"Do you mean to raise Varian up just for sport?" he said angrily now wishing he had paid more attention to warnings in Adira's book. He'd have to ask her about that later.

"That depends on him." Alastor said, reclaiming his bag. "A story where I know all the plot points and can predict the ending is not a story I'd like to read. Your story is just that, yours. I'll leave you with one helpful tip though. Whatever you choose to do, don't be boring." and with that he disappeared in a tower of green flame.

Varian turned to his father more than a little shaken.

"I honestly didn't expect people to seriously threaten my life until I was at least in my 20's." He said with a nervous laugh as his Dad came up and hugged him. "I know our family is messed up but the fuckin Radio Demon?"

"Don't worry son, our family may be messed up but it's ours and together I'm sure we can find a way to defeat him." He sounded more confident than he felt. Varian on the other hand started thinking.

"You know, I think he may have actually given us a hint. It sounds like what he's really looking for is entertainment. If we just rush in and try to kill him I think we'd lose." He looked down at his clawed hands. "At least now I know why I seem to be able to do more than the average demon." as if on cue Ruddiger jumped up onto his shoulder.

"You think he wants something else?" Varian smirked.

"Well I was kind of planning something along these lines anyway but maybe we could shake up the system a bit?"

"Is that what all your information gathering is for?"

"It's the first step, it's always good to have as much information on hand as possible. And in the right hand can be a useful tool and gain you allies."

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

In another part of Hell Prince Stolas bid his daughter goodbye after he finished her lesson. It went very well and she was learning very quickly. He was so proud. He pulled out a folded piece of paper in his pocket that read, "Do not read in front of Princess Octavia."

He wasn't sure what to make of it but didn't want to risk the warning. It was a good thing he did, for he couldn't suppress his shock and rage when he did read what was inside.

"Your wife was the one who hired Striker to kill you." And included proof.

"THAT BITCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Back at the lake both Father and son were finishing up their fishing trip. Quirin was the winner with the most fish and had just reeled in the last one.

"Good thing we both like fish." Varian stated as his Dad went to retrieve the hook. "And according to our experiment, you were right. The worm worked best every time."

Quirin retrieved the hook with a squirming worm named Frederic Corona cursing both of them with everything he had, which wasn't much.

"It's a tradition for a reason. Although your fly didn't do too bad." Varian eyes the hook he had been using which had a big juicy Nigel fly on the end. The fly demon was bigger than the worm but didn't wiggle as much trying to avoid the fish.

It was already stated but yes both father and son were pretty messed up.

The trip was fun but also very emotional. They still had a few things to work through but both were happy with the progress they had made.

"This was fun son. We'll have to do this again sometime." Varian was going to agree but had a thought.

"You know, the annual cleansing is coming up."

"I heard, Blitz already said we could stay at the office, the angels aren't around Imp City all that much so we should be able to lay low for the day."

"Actually I was kind of hoping to stick around for it, at least in the end."

"I assume you have a reason for wanting to risk your soul during the most dangerous time in Hell."

"Well I was talking to Moxxie about angelic weapons. They're made from the spears left behind by the Angel during the cleans but you have to grab them as soon as the cleans ends. They're worth a small fortune on the black market. Mom's always wanted to get her hands on one to study and admittedly I'd love to as well. But I'd need to be there during the cleanse if I wanted to grab one or two before the scavengers do." Varian looked at Frederic and Nigel still stuck on the hooks, still cursing.

"I have a plan to keep us safe and we have bait as well." His Dad smirked as he threw the worm and fly demon in a lock box.

"What do you plan to do with angelic weapons?"

"Oh it's not just the weapons I've got some big ideas but I'll keep them to myself for the time being. Wouldn't want to spoil it for the audience."

Alastor did say to take his time and not be boring. He was pretty sure he could oblige. They couldn't see him but they could swear they could feel his smile of approval.

"So Dad?" Varian asked as they started hiking back. "That was a lot of bombshells we uncovered today. Should I be expecting any more or-

"I swear that was the last one."

"Thank Satan."

"That I remember."

"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaad!"

"There was that time where I black out and couldn't remember what happened for a full week. I did have a few clues though." As they walked Quirin told his son all he did remember since his past kept popping back up. All the while Varian couldn't help but feel lucky.

No one knew what the future held for them and maybe redemption wasn't off the table and somewhere down the line they'd take a different path. It would certainly be unexpected. While they both wished they had done things differently while they were alive for now they were going to enjoy their happy days in Hell while they still could.

THE END

Coming soon…

"Why did you help me?"

"We're very much alike, you and I. We both play the part of the villain desperate to fix a mistake and reclaim the ones we love."

"Why should I trust you?"

"Because no one else understands what you've been through. Desperate for help but no one willing or able to do so. Help me obtain the Miraculous and I see no reason why we can't share the prize."

"What I need…is nothing short of a miracle."

"And it is a miracle I offer you."
