Hobbes watched as the bushes he had just planted were all trimmed perfectly to an even height, and he was so bored without the mansion to clean too.

The shaggy Furfrou hairs at the salon were all evenly trimmed, though not in any preferable style.

A gaudy statue was sliced into millions of tiny pieces as the screen zoomed out.
"This has been happening all day, and we believe it to be caused by an Ultra Beast." Lusamine said.
"What was that sound we kept hearing?" Kiawe asked.
"We're not sure, but any time it's heard, the sudden cut has been occurring." Professor Burnett said.
"Well the good news is we have bait to use." Cass joked.
"Bait?" David asked. "I don't think its a fish."
"No, we can use Ark to lure it out." Mallow said.
"Not happening, and also not funny." Ark said. "Can't I sit this one out?"
"Ark, you are a vital part of this team, I understand your concern for your own safety, buy if their is a chance we could trap the Ultra Beast, we have to take some risks." Lusamine said.
"He's not worried about being injured, he's worried about his hair." Mallow teased.
"Touch the hair, and you'll be on the ground Lana." Ark said, seeing her sneak up to him with a pair of scissors.
"Ark please, this is more important than your hair." Lillie said.
"Besides didn't you only grow it this long to serve as a reminder for what happened to Lillie, and your commitment to restore her back to normal?" Sophocles asked.
"How am I not normal?" Lillie demanded.
"Start of the year, old story line, we kind of forgot about it once it was fixed, remember you used to not be able to touch Pokemon." Sophocles said.
"You used to not be able to touch Pokemon?" Cass asked.
"I could touch them just fine if I wanted too, I simply chose not too." Lillie said, hugging Shiron.
"Ark please, for everyone's safety, we don't know how long it will be until it cuts something that could endanger people." Lusamine said.
"Fine, but understand this, if any hair on my head gets cut, you are all paying for it." Ark said, walking up the stairs.
"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Cass shouted after him.
"I don't need Garchomp if I'm the bait, now do I?" Ark responded.
"We should follow him in case it shows up." Kiawe said, rushing up the steps.
"Yeah, let's get into position." Mallow said.
"Can I just reiterate that I don't like this plan." Ark said.
"Just relax Ark, with any luck they'll be here in no time." Sophocles said.

A wind shot through the school yard as Ark leapt out of the way, attacks flying at where he was. As Ark rolled to a stop, a few small stray hairs fell to the ground.
"I told you." Ark said, standing up, his eyes glowing a bright orange. "No one, touches, the hair!"
The Ultra Beast in question was something thin and small, only around the size of a pair of scissors.
"Torracat use Fire Fang!"

Torracat leapt at the Ultra Beast, only for his fur to get cleanly cut, large overgrown tufts falling to the ground.
"You have to admit, even if it doesn't know for certain if its a good thing, this one is really good at clean cutting." Lillie said.
"Ultra Guardians, return to base, we have a more pressing concern to deal with." Lusamine said worriedly.
Ark watched as the Ultra Beast flew off once more, seemingly satisfied with Torracat's haircut.
"Mrow." Torracat said, happily shaking himself off, pleased with the results as well.
"Yeah, yeah I know you needed a grooming, I'll make sure to schedule it earlier next time." Ark groaned.
Back in the base
"Alright Guardians, we have a more pressing problem, there is a meteor heading straight towards Alola Island." Lusamine said.
"Meteors fall near the islands all the time, a lot of our more prominent landmarks are even made by them, what's the problem with this one?" Kiawe asked.
"This one is large enough to sink an island." Lusamine said. "The Ultra Beast will have to wait, we need to focus on this."
"What's the plan? We can't exactly destroy a meteor." Ark pointed out.
"Well, I've been working on something, and theoretically if we combined This le se with Magearna we could use it to explode the meteor." David said, pulling out a strange device.
"But we'd need someone to slow it down and create a weak point for us to hit." Lusamine said.
"Garchomp has more than enough speed and power to get there and do the job." Ark said.
"Not on his own I'm afraid. You'd still need someone to slow the descent." Wicke pointed out.
"What about Metang, his psychic attack should be able to hold the meteor more or less in place, at the very least slow it down." Sophocles offered.
"Alright, while you two do that, Cass and Lillie stay here and help get the lense on Magearna, Lana and Mallow we need to keep hunting that Ultra Beast." Kiawe said.
"Good idea, no point in everyone staying here." Ark said. "Let's get suited for space Sophocles."
In the ride bay
"Alright you two, you have 1 hour to get there and hit the meteor hard enough to create an entry point for the beam, if you don't hit it hard enough, it will still be too big for us to destroy." David said.
"And both of you, please be careful." Lusamine begged.
"Cass, take care of Pikachu while I'm gone." Ark said.
"Prepare to launch, in 3, 2, 1, blast off!" Wicke counted down.
Garchomp and Metang took off like rockets with Ark and Sophocles strapped in for the ride of their lives.
"I don't feeeeel soooooo gooooood." Sophocles said.
"Keep it together Sophocles, I need you for this." Ark said, as he saw the meteor approaching.
"Rrrrrrright! Metang slow down the Meteor with Psychic!" Sophocles called out as Ark and Garchomp got closer.
"Alright Garchomp, just like before, use Devastating Drake!" Ark commanded.
Gaucho please unleashed a powerful blast, engulfing a majority of the meteor with great force, as the explosion finally cleared, Ark and Sophocles were in shock.
"Guys! It didn't work!" Ark exclaimed, seeing the meteor unscathed.
"What do you mean it didn't work?!" Professor Burnett asked amidst a panic.
"Just that, IT DIDN'T WORK!" Ark exclaimed.
"Guys, I don't think Metang can hold this much longer." Sophocles said, his ride Pokemon beginning to shake, the psychic power weakening.
"I have a really dumb idea." Ark said. "Kiawe where is Kartana?"
"Kartana?" Kiawe asked.
"Yeah because it cuts like a katana, but looks like its doing a cartwheel." Ark said.
"No clue, we still haven't found it, why?" Kiawe asked.
"Because it might be strong enough to cut through that meteor." Ark said. "Sophocles I need you and Metang to try your best to keep it from going any further, at all costs."
"We'll try, come on Metang we can do this!" Sophocles said.
Ark and Garchomp raced back to the surface, as Ark took his helmet off, looking around. "Come on where are you?" Ark asked.
"Tcejbo sselhtrow a tuc I ,niaga ecno!"
"Right on cue, Garchomp I need you to go full speed, but don't let me fall." Ark said.
"Ark, this is insane, you can't do it!" Lusamine called out.
"We're out of time and options." Ark said, as Garchomp took off.
Back at the Meteor
"Come on Metang, we just need to hold it a bit longer for Ark.". Sophocles said, seeing Garchomp close in on the radar.
"Meeee taaaa." Metang said in a struggle, as he was enveloped in a light as the meteor rebaten it's descent.
"No!" Sophocles exclaimed.
"GROSS!"
The newly evolved ride Pokemon launched forward, grabbing the meteor with it's front hands and slowing its path even more with it's psychic abilities.
"Alright Metagross!" Sophocles cheered.
"Come on, take the bai." Ark said, as he began feeling woozy, his eyes closing as he saw Kartana rush forward at the meteor.
