Chapter 8: Path of True Love Pt 1
Rise is lying on the water-filled floor still naked from her night of naughty fun with her favorite senpai. She begins to open her eyes to see she is in an unknown location. "Where am I, I was having fun with my hubby and then I am here," she said as she gets onto her feet to notice she was naked. "Come on, you got to be kidding me," Rise thought.
"Are you slow or something? You got jumped while you were fucking like rabbits," a voice sounding just like Rise is speaking with her.
"What the hell?" Rise asked as she turns around to see her Persona Kouzeon floating around in a playful pose.
"Morning sunshine, been a while since you got knocked out," Kouzeon said as Rise is surprised to see her Persona floating beside her.
"Oh no wonder," Rise said as she and her Persona share the same voice.
"Yep, after your little meet cute. You and our husband are now taken by Other Rise. Both are at the very top of this tower," she said as she used her scanning power to detect them there.
"That explains the weird things around me. At least I have company with myself," Rise said feeling weird talking with herself.
"Yes, just you and me here. We need to get Senpai out of here before that weird bitch does something weird," Kouzeon said.
"Yeah and why are you calling him Senpai," she said using it like a pet name.
"Yes our 'Senpai'," Kouzeon said about to tease her.
"That's weird. I am his wife," Rise said as Kouzeon her head despite not having a face she looks annoyed by this.
"Did you forget already airhead? I am you and you are me which means Senpai belongs to both of us," Kouzeon said.
"He didn't marry you though," Rise protested as this line of thought is beyond creepy.
Kouzeon stops in front of her to snap her fingers to revert to being a copy of Rise with bright yellow eyes. "Do we need to go through this again? We are connected from the hip and I can feel everything you feel. Your love for your husband I can feel as well including all your pillow talk," Kouzeon said.

Elsewhere Adi, Yukiko, and Chie are in a car to head for the tofu shop with her unable to call Yu and Rise on their phones. "Gee, they did not pick up at all. We got a tower popping out in the middle of the night," Adi said.
"Well, everyone is asleep at this point. You were lucky to get us since we were watching movies together," Chie said.
"Yes but it's getting nuts to be like this," Yukiko said as she see the huge tower in the distance looming there with sinister intent.
"Indeed, we are close to the house," Adi drives down the shopping district to park nearby the tofu shop. They see the window is weirdly open and the lights are on despite it being in the dead of night. "I don't like this," Adi said as they get out of the car to approach the door.
Chie grabs the handle to slide the door open. "They left the door open without locking it," she said.
"That's suspicious," Yukiko said as they head inside to see to be within the restaurant area to go up the stairs to be within the living room which has certain kinds of stuff left there.
"Wow, seems like they had a romantic evening huh?" Chie asked as they see plates once filled with crescent rolls filled with pepperoni and chocolate-covered strawberries.
"That's sweet," Yukiko said as she is a bit jealous of this. "Strawberries and cooked crescents, Rise outdid herself with this. I wish I can do something like this for someone special if I can find someone like that," she thought.
"Something wrong Yukiko?" Chie asked.
"Oh no, it's nothing. My parents want me to go find a boyfriend," Yukiko said.
"They are pressuring you to get married?" Chie asked.
"They want some grandkids and they need me to continue the Amagi bloodline," Yukiko said.
"Are they going to hook you up with someone?" Chie asked.
"No but they are edging me in a certain direction," Yukiko said.
"That sucks, you are at the humble age of 25 years old. Within a few years in Japanese terms, you would be too old to marry," Adi said which she finds pretty silly.
"Yeah, it's pretty nutty," Chie said as they go into the couple's bedroom to see a ton of clothing on the floor. "Oh boy," she said being flustered to know they were doing the nasty in here.
"Yep, Rise strikes again," Adi said as Yukiko looks down to see an apron and thong on the floor.
"Wow, very bold," Yukiko said as she thinks about wearing one for someone she loves. "I could pull this off if I wanted to," Yukiko said having some lewd thoughts about this.
"Hey Yukiko, you are glowing red what's wrong?" Chie asked.
"Oh nothing, I had some thoughts I was pondering over," Yukiko said as she gets her dirty mind straight to see the bed seem to be used very recently.
"They were going all out here and they just disappeared," Adi said as she looks over to the table to see Rise's smartphone which has several missed calls. She looks over to see the window is opened which seems like they were taken away.
"Seems like they were taken away," Yukiko said.
"Yep, I think so too. It must be Other Rise who did this," Adi said.
"Other Riser like that Other Yusuke?" Chie asked.
"Yes, but this lady is unstable due to becoming back from the Sea of Souls a bit wrong. She is deeply jealous of Other Yu and his relationship with Other Yukiko," Adi said as Yukiko is interested by this.
"Oh, so my other side is in love with the Other Yu. That's interesting," Yukiko said as Adi feels this line of thought very odd but brushed it to the side.
"Well, she is not getting her Yu and she is getting the next best thing. Our Yu and Rise are in great danger, we need to get to the tower now," Adi said.
"What about the others?" Chie asked.
"No time, we need to move now. Let's get to that tower," Adi said as Yukiko ponders on something.
"Loving someone, the guy I want is already taken," Yukiko sighs at her weakness to not tell her feelings for them to head to the tower.
Back with Rise and Kouzeon are going up the spiral staircase for they feel the walls echoing with Other Rise's voice. "So, my faker has come to play my little game," Other Rise said as she is laughing at her struggling to get up the tall staircases.
"So, the psycho appears, how about you face me?" Rise demanded.
"Oh no, I am going to have fun with senpai and I am going to watch you suffer," Other Rise said as the water begins to raise filling out the bottom floor. Rise and Kouzeon look down to be surprised by this.
"You got to be kidding me," Rise said as Other Rise is laughing at her.
"Oh, this tower is going to be filled with water soon. I hope you know how to swim because you are going to drown if you don't reach the top in time," Other Rise said as she is summoning Seekers to loom over her to dive bomb towards her aiming her arrow-shaped head into her body.
She uses her Fusion Gem to merge with Kouzeon to go into her Persona form to use a barrier to stop them dead in their tracks. She blasts them apart with light spells to roll away from the demon birds to stab their heads into the staircase.
One of the Seekers launches waves of wind to sweep up Rise to knock her into the water which is still growing covering up some of the staircases. "Gee, she is not kidding," she thought as she looks up to see the way is blocked by a giant gate. "Oh, come on, I am going to drown at this rate," Rise thought as she looks around to see a lever under the water.
She dives into the water to use her magic to swim fast throughout the space as she makes a water bubble around her head using it to let her breathe underwater. The demon fish called Haggers were summoned to stop her as they swim towards her with large disgusting jaws.
"Weird fishes," Rise tosses orbs of light to blast them apart but some of them cut into her body leaving cuts behind. "Shit," she said feeling the sting of the slashes as she morphs the water around the fish to form a bubble to trap them inside. She then made it implode killing off the Haggers with mists of red mixing into the clear water.
She uses water jets in her feet to propel through the water to reach the lever to pull it down to see the gate above has open. "Goodness, thank the heavens," Rise said as she jets through the water to leap out of the water to land on the staircase.
"On we go," Kouzeon said as they are detecting more Seekers from above and Haggers from the creeping water below swallowing up the stairs more and more.
"This is insane, this is a big water trap," Rise said as she is rushing up the stairs to toss orbs of light and beams of water to take out groups of Seekers but some got through to cut into her arms. "Shit, I can't stop now," Rise said as she casts her healing spell to fix up her recent cuts making the stinging disappear.
"Oh, how sad seeing you struggle like this. You are nothing more than a cheerleader for your team," Other Rise is mocking her as Rise cast a barrier to protect herself from incoming attacks from the Seekers and Haggers. She made her barrier explode to knock them away as she fires a beam of water to kill off the demon fish.
"No, I am a valuable member of the team. I am the co-leader of the team now, don't put your problems into my mouth," Rise said not buying into her taunts.
"Seriously, you're a team leader. Don't make me laugh," Other Rise said in disbelief.
"Nope, I have the strongest Persona beside Yu and I got the stuff to lead if I need to," Rise said as she noticed a lever nearby to pull it down to see the water rising faster.
"Oh, too bad, you pulled the wrong switch," Other Rise said as she is bothered by what Rise said. "Seriously, he put that much faith in her, and my Persona is not as strong as her. My Persona is still at Stage 1 while her Persona is at Stage 3 reaching her full potential," Other Rise said as she still has Himiko as her Persona while Rise has fully evolved her Persona to her final form Kouzeon. Envy is bubbling within the cruel woman's heart but she holds it down.
"Calm down, she will not survive this tower and it wouldn't matter. This Yu will be mine and I be the better Rise. I am the superior Rise," Other Rise said.
"The water is moving fast," Kouzeon said as Rise puts up her visor over her face to scan the area to see which levers are real or traps. She managed to see one up top and the second one in the water.
"Okay, we will split up. Cover me," Rise said as she lets out Kouzeon from the Fusion Gem to engage with the enemy.
"Leave it to me," her Persona said as she leaps down to pull out strands of water to make it like a whip to leash out and slice Haggers and Seekers in half. Red blood rain down into the water as the Persona is slicing up the demonic minions. "You will not pass me," Kouzeon said as Rise is going up the stairs with Haggers leaping at her to dodge them.
She pulls out her microphone to use her voice to let out a sound wave to send them flying back into the water. Rise can see the water getting near her as she reaches for the lever to pull it down leaving one more switch left.
"Oh gees," Rise jumps into the water to see there is almost an air pocket left with the gate still closed. "Kouzeon," she thought as her Persona speeds towards her to merge with the Fusion gem to become one with Rise again. She tosses blades of water to slice into the demon fish to speed towards the second switch.
A swarm of Haggers head for her but she uses Pearl Shot to lob balls of light to purge her enemies out of her path. She managed to take the lever and pull it down to see the gate above is gone. "Time to go," Rise said as she jets out of the water to land on the staircase to run upwards.
"She is doing better than I expected," Other Rise said as she is bothered by Rise's position in her team. She is a powerhouse and is Yu's second in command which bothers Other Rise to no end. "I will show you how weak you are," she summons her powerful Guardian Demon known as a Razar who is a large sea serpent to appear at the bottom of the tower to swim rapidly up towards Rise.
"Oh, we got company," Rise said as a mighty demon erupts out of the water.
"No shit, better keep moving," Kouzeon said as Rise is running away upward with Razar spitting up beams of water putting holes in the walls. Rise summons barriers to deflect the beams away as the water is raising upward keeping up in speed.
"This is so annoying," Rise said as they see the beast making it hard to get up to the top.
"There is no escape, you will be sent to your watery grave," Razar said as his roars echoed throughout the tower trying to kill Rise.
"Great, an oversized snake is trying to kill us," Rise said.
"Less talking, more running. If you die, I go as well," Kouzeon said as Rise leaps over the gap to avoid a lunging Razar coming from the water. She gets onto a higher set of stairs to run from the ascending water.
"Photon Mines," Rise drops orbs of light behind to act like proxy bombs. The snake getting close triggers the bombs blasting it and slowing it down.
"You can't escape, my mistress will be able to achieve her goal of happiness," Razar said as he lunges with Rise blocking it with a barrier. She made her shield burst violently while she lets out soundwaves from her mouth to knock the beast into a wall.
"Happiness, that is rich coming from that weirdo. She stole my man and pretended to be his wife," Rise said as she fires beams of water from her hands.
"Her loneliness needs to be rid of. She can't have her own Yu, so yours will do for her," Razar said as he fires orbs of water with Rise blasting them out of the air.
"He is not a trophy to be won. Your mistress is forcing him to do this," Rise said.
"Doesn't matter when you are dead," Razar said as Rise uses her scanning skill to detect three levers that will be able to go further up the water-filled tower.
"So much tight angles, Rise stick focus," Kouzeon said.
"Hey, no back seating," Rise said as she is dodging incoming water attacks and powerful lunge attacks which shake up the whole tower.
"Gee I am only trying to save your life since my life is in your hands," Kouzeon said as Rise pulls down the first lever to see none of the switches above her is useful.
"Oh great, two of the other ones are down there," Rise said as she dives back into the water for the beast to rush at her. Rise and Kouzeon split off with her Persona blocking his attack. Rise keeps the bubble around her head allowing her to breathe.
"Go, I will distract this beast," Kouzeon said.
"Don't die on me," Rise said as Persona grins at this under her mask.
"That is my line, little human," Kouzeon said as she is blast the sea serpent in the eye with a light bolt shedding blood in the water. "Hey fish face, trying to take a bite out of me," Kouzeon taunted the beast as she swiftly swims away to distract the monster.
Rise is swimming to the second lever to grab onto it and pull it down having one more lever left.
Kouzeon uses a barrier to block the pursuing beast to knock it backward and she lobs bubbles at it to blast sections of the demon apart with blood seeping into the water. Razar looks over to see Rise swimming towards the last lever.
"Oh no you don't," Razar said as he heads for Rise going to swallow her whole.
"Damn it," Kouzeon tosses a ball of light to hit Rise to cast a barrier to protect the lunge attack. "Keep going now," Kouzeon said as Rise is swimming to the last lever. "Suck on this," Kouzeon cutting into the skin of the beast with water blades.
Rise got the last one to unlock the gate allowing them to get to the upper levels. "I going to rip you to pieces," Razar heads for Rise about to swallow her whole. Rise uses the Fusion gem to go back into her Persona form to go deep within the demon's mouth and into its throat.
She puts up a barrier to protect herself from harm to be within its stomach. "So gross," Rise prepares to counter-attack.
"Yes, the bitch is dead," Other Rise said as she is cheering on her Guardian Demon who she thinks killed Rise.
"Yep I managed to take them down mistress," Razar said as he feels very odd with his stomach acting up. "Oh goodness, I don't feel so good," Razar said.
"Razar, are you okay?" Other Rise asked.
"No, I feel weird," Razar said.
"Bright Repulse," Rise gathers energy into her body to force it all out in 360 degrees unleashing a huge wave of light energy violently tears apart the sea serpent from the inside scattering its broken body into the water and freeing Rise from the bowels.
"No! You bitch, you killed my favorite demon," Other Rise said.
"That is not my problem. You are next," Rise said as she rockets out of the water to get back onto the stairs to head upwards.
"Didn't think of you being a killer," Other Rise said.
"I need to protect my future family and you will not stop until you are buried six feet under," Rise said as she feels determined to do this and protect her husband and father of their children in the future.
"Don't matter much," Other Rise said as within her mind is panicky. "Damn it, she is very strong. She is not kidding, I need to step it up to secure my future husband and my future," she thought as she begins her spell to make Yu her's forever.
Rise is running to get to a floor with the staircase closed behind her. "Baby, your wife is coming to save you. We are going to have a future together and I got your back. Just like you did for me," Rise said as she heads off to save her husband getting closer to her goal.
