The next day, Naruto woke up feeling refreshed. His plan was going perfectly. Now it was time to gain the trust of the village and become a hero once again.
He walked through the streets of Konoha waving and greeting the villagers.
"Good morning!" greeted Naruto with a foxy grin.
The female villagers blushed and greeted him back enthusiastically.
"G-Good morning Naruto-kun!"
"My, don't you look handsome today Naruto!"
Naruto winked at them making them swoon.
He went to the Yamanaka flower shop to get some flowers for Tsunade as an apology for yesterday. There he saw Ino arranging some lilies.
"Hey Ino, you're looking as beautiful as these flowers." greeted Naruto.
Ino blushed at his compliment."N-Naruto?! W-What are you doing here?" asked a surprised Ino.
"Just getting some flowers for Baa-chan to apologize for yesterday. I was a bit rude." replied Naruto.
"O-Oh. Well it's good you realized your mistake." said Ino avoiding his gaze.
"Yeah. So how have you been Ino? Been breaking any hearts lately?" asked Naruto teasingly.
"N-No! I've been busy, became a Chunin last year and have been helping out at the shop and going on missions." replied Ino her blush intensifying.
"That's great to hear! We should catch up sometime, maybe over some dango and tea?" asked Naruto giving her a charming smile.
Ino's heart skipped a beat at his smile."S-sure that would be nice."
"Great! I'll pick you up at 6 then." said Naruto walking off with a bouquet of flowers.
'Did Naruto just ask me out?! And did I agree ?! What is going on...' thought a confused Ino.
Naruto went to the Hokage tower and apologized to Tsunade for his behavior handing her the flowers.
"I'm sorry for yesterday Baa-chan. I didn't mean to be rude." said Naruto.
Tsunade sighed."Apology accepted gaki. But I'm still keeping an eye on you."
The day went by quickly and at 6 Naruto went to pick up Ino for their 'date'. Ino had worn a purple kimono and had let her hair down.
"You look ravishing Ino." said Naruto kissing her hand. Ino blushed at his gesture.
"T-Thank you. You look handsome too." replied Ino.
They talked about many things over dango and tea. Ino told Naruto of missions she went on and the latest village gossip and Naruto told her about his travels with Jiraiya with some exaggerated details making her laugh.
After a few hours, Naruto walked Ino home.
"I had a great time Naruto. We should do this again." said Ino. She didn't want the date to end.
"I enjoyed your company too Ino. We'll have to go out again soon." replied Naruto.
"Goodnight Naruto." said Ino.
"Goodnight Ino." said Naruto kissing her cheek. Ino's face became as red as a tomato.
Naruto chuckled at her reaction and left. His plan was going even better than expected.
The next day Naruto requested a long term S-Rank mission from Tsunade...
