Spiraling Phantom Chapter 3: Life will Change

Naoto's POV

As Ryuji, Ann, and Shiho and I left the metaverse, we saw that we were in the back alley where I took them and decided to speak up.

''So, you saw how Kamoshida really sees things around him. That place is dangerous and while Shido did try and ''Awakened'' her powers, it was still pretty risky. For now, until this cat shows up, I'd suggest that we go there especially if you Ann, and you too Ryuji want in on this that Shiho and I are around. Not just me or Shiho alone, it is too dangerous but if do manage to get you to awaken it would help but for now, we wait.'' I said as Ryuji decided to speak up.

''To think that bastard actually goes that far..! Why isn't anyone doing anything?!'' Ryuji complained as Shiho decided to speak up.

''The School knows...I am certain that Principal Kobayakawa knows too. He seems to be on friendly terms with Kamoshida.'' Shiho spoke up and Ann spoke up agreeing with her friend's statement.

''It would certainly benefit Kamoshida and the school's PR.'' Ann muttered as Ryuji yelled as he kicked a trash can away.

''Fucking Dammit! Of course, this fat fuck of a Humpty Dumpty is on this! He is probably a high school buddy of Kamoshida. It's no wonder the student council president didn't do shit!'' Ryuji complained as I pressed on the matter.

''The Student Council? I fail to see how he or she could help. Isn't their word far inferior to the authority of a teacher? How could they help?'' I asked as Shiho answered my questions.

''Normally you'd be right Naoto-san but Niijima-san is well unique. Her older sister is a prosecutor with a great reputation so she has a lot of sway in the school. Principal Kobayakawa probably offered her a letter of recommendation if she didn't bring or change the status quo.'' Shiho explained as I nodded and said my thoughts out loud.

''So she is doomed if she does, doomed if she doesn't. He put her in a spot where she has no choice but to abide.'' I hummed as Shiho nodded before speaking up.

''We should probably register our contact information. With this, we can meet and Awaken Ann and Ryuji.'' Shiho said as Ann agreed as she pulled her phone up along with Ryuji we got each other's contact information. It was then that Ryuji did bring a valid question.

''Wait...we still don't have a base of operation'' Ryuji said as I nodded. It was true but I decided to call someone as I told them to wait.

''Hello?'' the voice of a man spoke up as I spoke up.

''Hey, old man... it's me.'' I said as his voice spoke up in surprise before he began asking me questions.

''Naoto...damn you haven't called in a while since you moved out to strike on your own. What happened son?'' He asked as I began explaining some half-truths.

''I got expelled from my apartment...being working overtime and school and the landlord is a piece of shit. At school saved a girl from a physical abuser but let's just say I have 30 days to find a place to live. Can I home Dad?'' I asked which shocked everyone but he seemed shocked, upset but he spoke calmly as he gave me his answer.

''Damn. Kid this is why I told you it wasn't the time to do such a thing. Now do you have movers?'' Dad asked me as I nodded and answered him.

''Yeah and my stuff is packed, I could sell the furniture and I could live in the attic of our café.'' I explained as Dad nodded before he answered.

''Alright...I'll come pick you up. I expect you to tell me everything, young man. Also, she has gotten worse so maybe try to help her when you can.'' Dad said as I nodded before we ended our call. Ryuji was the first to speak up.

''Man, and I thought I had it bad...you tried to act responsibly and it backfires on ya. Well, you saved Shiho's life from Kamoshida, and that is already plenty even if it is just the beginning.'' Ryuji said as Ann spoke up next.

''True, Shiho and I will go back home now. Just send us a text in the group chat when you are settled in again. I'll let Kawakami sensei know what happened. Just expect the school's student council to be interrogating you.'' Ann said as the three of them left. I then walked back to my apartment and saw a black and white cat who ran towards me as it spoke.

''hey, hey, I finally found you but where are the others?'' The cat asked but to the others, it seemed like it was just meowling normally as it was asking for attention. I told it the truth.

''They went back to their daily lives until the next infiltration. I am to contact them once I settle back in my old home, I got evicted.'' I told it as it seemed shocked but explained itself.

''I did mention why the means to end this person's twisted deal wasn't there right? Well, I came to explain it but I don't think it would work without everyone.''Morgana said he licked his paw and I nodded before answering him.

''Yeah, and it would be safer for the other two to awaken as well with you here. How about living with me? I am going back to my Dad's place and it would help our goals, buddy?'' I asked Morgana as he nodded and it was just in time as Dad arrived. he was dressed in his white blouse and yellow pants with his white matching hat. His glasses were still there as he opened the door of the car as he spoke and I put my stuff in the trunk.

''So you're not harmed? Good, hmmm...you decided to adopt this little guy?'' Dad asked me as I nodded and explained why.

''Yeah..he got abandoned as I got evicted. I share his pain and I'm keeping his name...he is probably used to it too.'' I explained as Dad sighed and we took off towards home.

The street was nice and parked but this house was still the same but as I looked towards the street I saw a small building with a coffee cup symbol and I knew I was home again.

''Café Leblanc or Dad's business.'' This was home as I went and unpacked my stuff in our house and Dad smiled once I was done, I headed towards a door with a don't enter sign which knocked on and said my piece.

''Futaba...It's me Naoto Onii-chan. I'm...home''
