Chapter 28

It was a quiet evening at the Chaldea Headquarters, a strange state of the place as it should be lively with servants summoned by Ritsuka and Gudao.

The Slayer, however, was unbothered as he ate dinner in his quarters. It was a well-made roast with mashed potato and assorted vegetables. A more Western meal but Tamamo Cat was always open to all types of cuisine. Actually, the moment he walked into the cafeteria after he woke up after the fight against Solomon, she was the first to express her happiness that he was alive.

It wasn't just her, a lot of other servants were relieved to hear about his recovery. It…was an odd feeling…But a Good one at least.

Doomguy finished his meal and exited his room to return the dishes provided for cleaning. When he entered the Cafeteria he noticed the lack of servants as it should be bustling with chatter. He continued to the serving window where Tamamo Cat welcomed him with a smile.

"Hiya, Big Guy! Did you enjoy your dinner? After hearing what happened to you in London, I've ensured you got some hearty dishes for your efforts. Woof!" Tamamo Cat said coherently.

Doomguy gave her a nod and handed her the dishes as usual.

"Thanks! Would you like some extra dessert? We appear to have some extra servings tonight." She asked, giving him a cute smile. Doomguy gestures that maybe he will have some later.

"Oh, Okay! Um…" Cat seemed to be bothered by something.

"So, I don't want to bug ya about Tamamo things…But did OG cause any trouble for ya?" The fragment of Tamamo-no-mae asked. Doomguy shook his head as the Caster servant was very helpful throughout the mission in London. He does know that Tamamo-no-mae had a very rocky relationship with her other

"Ah ok, I just needed to hear it from you. I know the masters said she was very nice, but I would like to get a second opinion on us Tamamo-Nine. Woof!" Cat said with a smile but Doomguy sensed a slight tension behind her kind stature. He forgot that there were Nine Tamamo's including the original he met in London. All that meant to him was that he might need to stockpile some more QP for future damages…Again…

Let's say some sparring matches that involved him broke the simulator…a few times.

Doomguy then decided to head up to the control room as he felt an odd sensation that something was brewing up there. He peeks his head into the door to find Romani, Da-vinci and VEGA briefing the Masters on a new development.

"Ah, good to see that Doomguy didn't disappear on us. Come in, we got another mission on our hands." Da-Vinci said as he entered.

He hasn't told anyone about the curse placed on him by the counterforce. Chaldea had enough weighing on their shoulders with their current mission and Hell clawing its way into this world.

…But he doesn't know how long he can keep going like this…Constantly suppressing this false rage in order to keep Ritsuka and her friend safe. He did some light research over the past week and got some understanding of what he was dealing with. It's basically a guard for humanity's continued survival and is also a part of the system that allows the summoning of heroic spirits during times of crisis. So that made things more complicated as Chaldea needed servants in order to fight and save the world, as much as he was a one-man army, he can't be everywhere at once so the extra help has been a boon so far. Meaning killing whatever was in charge was out of the question…so he'll just have to either find a way to break the curse or "convince" the counterforce to stop screwing with him.

The Slayer pushes those thoughts to the back of his mind as he listens to what Romani and VEGA have found over the past several days. It was some sort of distortion from a set of coordinates located in Japan. At first, they thought it was fluctuation from Singularity F but VEGA detected life signs within the distortion.

"No matter how I adjust Sheba, I can't get a read on the scale and era of these coordinates. It's a complete Black box. We won't know what's going on until we rayshift there." Romani said.

"So, is it a new singularity or something?" Gudao asked.

"I'm sorry, but I can't even be sure about that. Humanity has been destroyed, and the outside world incinerated." The acting director said.

"This is completely different from the foundations we have been repairing by Rayshifting before their destruction." VEGA added

"Think of what you guys have been doing as repairing a completely incinerated scroll. However, these coordinates are different. They don't exist in any historical records. Think of it as something that's lost. A hole eaten away by bugs" Romani did his best to simplify what they found but Mashu asked for some extra explanation. This causes Da-vinci to butt in and reveal that this is more of a fake singularity rather than what they have been dealing with before.

Worse, it appeared to be trapping the servants Gudao and Ritsuka summoned. This explains why most of the servants at Chaldea are MIA at the moment.

"Is it Hell again? They have corrupted servants before." Ritsuka said while getting chills down her spine remembering the twisted abominations of servants they fought. Doomguy patted her on the head to remind her that he has her back and will do whatever it takes to get them back home.

"Because of how irregular this distortion is, we can't be certain if our invaders have a hand in our allies being lured into this trap. But anything is on the table right now. All we know is that the servants are not returning." Da-Vinci said.

"Chaldea is using 40% of its energy to provide the needed magical energy to keep your servants manifest here. If we didn't have that, you both would've been dried up by now." Romani said.

Doomguy's eyes widened as he recalled Ritsuka passing out in Okeanos…If Chaldea was supposed to handle all the energy costs, what happened to her then? Did he cause that? Another effect of the curse?

"So what was with me passing out then?" Risuka asked, recalling the same moment.

"That was a surprise to me as your Doctor. I thought it was because of you having two berserkers, so I recommended you balance the contracts between you both." Romani answered the redhead.

"From my medical perspective you shouldn't have much to worry about and if it happens again VEGA has the same medicine. Just don't push yourself too hard and you will be fine to continue on this mission." The good Doctor smiled, bringing relief to the female master.

…Not so much to her Berserker class servant, however.

"With that out of the way…I want you guys to investigate this anomaly. Rayshifting anywhere else other than a singularity requires Director authorization. So I am asking you, will you do it?" Romani asked.

"Of course! If they are taken, we'll get them back!" Ritsuka said.

"We are on it!" Gudao said with Mashu nodding in agreement.

"What about our resident Demon Slayer?" Da-Vinci said with a wink.

Doomguy just gives a thumbs-up

"Thank you. You're so reliable! Alright everyone get ready. Oh, this is just a hunch, but I feel Gudao and Ristuka might find the environment familiar." Romani said and the team got ready to Rayshift to this anomaly and rescue the missing servants

"Fou?" Fou barked as he jumped into Mashu's coffin.

The Garden of Order

One Rayshift Later and Romani's words were understood quickly as they arrived in a city clearly in the 21st-century era. A familiar sight for the masters but for Mashu…

"A road made of asphalt…High-rises like big walls…This is…This is…"

It was like entering a whole new world just out of her reach.

"I'm sure of it! This is 21st-century Japan, Senpai! Look! See? A vending machine that isn't destroyed! Even a public phone, and a bus stop too!" Mashu said as she zipped around taking in the sights that were all new to the girl who spent her life as a shut-in.

"It really is just like what I've read…One of my dreams has come true!" Mashu said ecstatically.

"It was your dream?" Gudao said.

"Ah…Yes. I'm sorry, I got carried away. It's not that I only dreamed of visiting a city in japan. I wanted to go see other places like: Washington, Moscow, Beijing, Rome, Madrid…" Mashu then looks at the crescent moon in the sky.

"Any one of them would have been fine. I just wanted to visit a major city from my era." She said solemnly. Gudao then felt sad for her as sights like this were common for him, but for her, she only saw them in pictures and videos…That made him think of an idea.

"...Hey Mashu…Would you like to go to those places? I-I mean not through Rayshifting but actually ..." Gudao asked as his face started to blush

"H-How about I take you on a trip to explore the world outside of Chaldea. After this is all over!" Gudao blurted out with his eyes closed with embarrassment.

"S-senpai….You'd really do that? Help me see the outside world?" Mashu said getting close to him.

"Yes. I promise. Once we save the world we can explore it together." Gudao said, opening his eyes with resolve. He will help Mashu achieve her dreams as a thank you for enduring the battles they fought and those that have yet to come.

"Thank you senpai…" Mashu said with a smile.

Ritsuka just watched them with a proud look on her face.

"Kyuuu?" Fou said

"I just want them to be happy together. I know I tend to tease them but I think they are perfect for eachother. I think those deserve a world tour after all of this." Ristuka said

"What about you, Master Ritsuka?" VEGA asked hovering beside her.

"Me?" She said,

"Yes, what are your plans after we achieve our mission? I predict you will be rewarded financially for your efforts." VEGA said.

"I…Don't really know. I have just been adrift, living day by day. It's been hard to think about the future ever since…" Ritsuka stopped herself before her emotions got the better of her.

"I am sorry. I didn't mean to bring back painful memories." VEGA apologised.

"No worries. Honestly, as much as we are risking our lives, Chaldea has been the best thing that happened to me. I made so many new friends and explored places I can only imagine over our journey together. I only wish that…You and Doomguy could stay after it's over…" Ristuka said while looking at Doomguy who was securing the perimeter. She knew that he couldn't stay in her world for long since others needed his help. But, she just can imagine not seeing him ever again…She already lost her parents…

Ritsuka didn't want to lose another

Doomguy was a bit in awe at the sight of the calm city. It was nothing compared to the high-tech metropolis he hailed from but there was something cathartic seeing something similar to his old life with what little of his memories remained. Maybe Ritsuka will finally return to sights like these once again when the fight is over for her…His fight however is eternal, he'll never find peace until-

His train of thought was then disrupted by a flyer getting caught on his equipment launcher. The Slayer grabs it and notices it was an advertisement for a fundraiser for orphaned children…

He instantly looks over to his master who was talking to VEGA…

It made him realise that Ritsuka doesn't have anyone outside of Chaldea…No family to go back to once this was all over…He is the closest thing she has to a parent now…

He can't just leave her, but he also can't just stop his fight. A few moments go by as Romani checks in with the ground team successfully while Doomguy returns from his patrol.

"Ah, As I thought…Judging from these coordinates and time, I predicted your destination to be a city in Japan. But…I didn't expect it to be such an urban area…This seems pretty fishy to me." Romani said.

"I do not detect any Human Life Forms other than the Master and Lady Mashu. This is troubling considering we are in a heavy urban environment." VEGA analyzed.

He was right, there wasn't another soul to be seen or heard. There wasn't the constant white noise of cars echoing through the city or people walking the streets. It was empty with just the light hum of the electric street lamps and other various lights of the city.

With another scan, Romani pointed out the cylindrical building nearby that stood out from the rest of the nearby structures.

"That just looks like an apartment." Gudao said with Ristuka nodding in agreement.

"Are you sure, Senpai? It looks so different from the others." Mashu said.

"I am detecting various energy signatures from the structure itself and the nearby area. We should investigate immediately as I have detected both Servant and Demonic energy readings." VEGA said.

"Another day another Demon invasion. Let's go get our friends back!" Ritsuka said with a chipper attitude as Doomguy loaded some fresh shells into Lucifer's bane.

Eyes of Mystics

Meanwhile, in the parking lot of the nearby apartments, Two women were fighting off a group of demonic monstrosities they have never seen before. One was dark and hard, matching her eyes while her clothes were odd. She has a red leather jacket on top of a traditional Japanese Yukata and leather work boots on her feet. Her weapon of choice was just a knife that slices through the wretched horde with ease…Or maybe it was just the blade doing the work…

The other woman had dark purple hair with red eyes While wearing a girl's academy uniform. She didn't have a weapon but seemed to be controlling an unknown force that physically twisted her enemies to death. Leaving them in gory messes of flesh and bone.

"Yeesh, Asagami. You could be a little bit faster with those twists." The noir-haired one said while she sliced a pinky to bits.

"Hey! I am not used to fighting as you are…" The red-eyed woman said while instinctively holding onto her side.

"Yeah, I get i-Watch out!" The one in the red jacket shouted as a baron of hell jumped out of the portal behind her.

Leaving little time to react with any form of action… she closed her eyes and prepared for the worse.

But it didn't happen. She opened her eyes again to find a man in green armour had tackled the Baron to the ground, pining it before twisting its head off. Without missing a beat meathooks at Pain Elemental causing havoc above with some Gargoyles leaving the girl he just saved in awe.

"Wait up, Doomguy-san!" Mashu rushed into battle as well leaving just the two masters, VEGA and Fou to greet the new person.

"Hey! Are you okay?" Ritsuka asked.

"I-I am alright. Who are you people?" The woman said, trying to keep up with all that is happening.

"We are here to help!" Ritsuka said as she fired Gandr bullets at some zombies along with Gudao. Their shots were then blocked by a blue energy shield of a carcass, the cyber necrotic abomination that acts as a bulwark unit. It growled and hissed as it fired its torso cannon at them.

"No you don't!" Mashu yelled as she jumped in front of the projectiles. She then tosses her shield into the air and kicks it at the Carcass. Shield met decaying flesh and it was demolished into scrap metal and a fine red mist. Mashu then rushed to pick up her shield and continue the slaying.

"Right, I forgot she REALLY hates Carcasses." Gudao said.

"Carcasses? Are you saying you know what these monsters are?" The woman asked.

"We can explain everything once the local area has been purged of Demons." VEGA said, hovering over Fou on top.

"Demons…" She said as she watched the newcomers fight the monsters off with clear experience showing both their bravery and Tactics.

Meanwhile, as Doomguy cleared the skies he lands on top of a Mancubus and stabs his blade there its skull. It topples over and he revs up his chainsaw to cleave through a squad of heavy-tier Demons. After cutting the remaining hell knight face in half he senses a Prowler sneaking up on him and turns around with his shotgun in his other hand.

Only to see said Demon fall apart into cut-up pieces right before him, revealing a woman wielding a small knife with little to no blood on her. He looked behind her and saw even more dead hellspawn scattered about.

Doomguy inspects the dark-haired woman again and now notices her once greyish eyes were now glowing blue with an unknown power. She points her knife at him as if she was expecting a fight as he was still armed to the teeth. With too much little information he had right now and there were no more demons in the vicinity he decided to take a risk.

He lowers his weapons and puts them away. Showing her that he was here to kill the monsters, but still gave an aura that he will defend himself if struck first.

"..." The woman stares at him before lowering her knife as her eyes shifted back to the dark grey colour.

The others finally catch up to Doomguy noticing the odd tensity of their stare down.

"Ryougi, He is not an enemy. He's with these people" The girl with dark purple hair spoke up.

"About the time someone spoke up…is he a mute or something? Actually who are you guys?" The noir hair woman then sheathed her blade casually in her red jacket.

"We are from Chaldea, we are fighting for humanity's future. We came here to investigate the anomaly and possibly rescue some of our friends." Gudao said honestly as You jumped onto his shoulder.

"Fou! Fouuuu!" He barked happily.

"What? What is that furball?" The jacket-wearing lady asked.

"This is Fou. He's everyone's favourite Runner." Ritsuka said.

"...Ryougi Shiki…" She answered while looking away for a brief moment.

"Huh?" Ritsuka said, confused.

"It's my name. The woman with the red eyes is Asagami Fujino." Shiki said, introducing them both to Chaldea.

"No fair. I wanted to Introduce myself…" Fujino said with a slight pout.

With the hostility gone Chaldea introduced themselves properly and told them their reasons for coming to this place. They were concerned for the missing servants and also to find what was drawing in the Demons from hell.

"Talk about a full plate of trouble…. So, you are trying to save the world and prevent a demon invasion in the process. Now some of your servants are missing and the trail led you here…" Shiki said going over what they told her.

"Yep that pretty much covers it." Gudao said.

"...In that case, you're supposed to be the ones to deal with servants inside. Good luck. I'll be giving you a hand since I know the place and we might run into the bastard that dragged me and Asagami here." Shiki said, offering her assistance in this matter. The masters welcomed the assistance with open arms as VEGA approached with another question.

"I have a question for both of you if you don't mind." The AI asked politely.

"Go ahead." Shiki answered as Fujino nodded.

"Are you both servants? You both seemed to give off similar signatures to one." VEGA said.

"Somewhat. We were both summoned here so I guess that's the case." Shiki answered.

"So you both wouldn't mind me asking if you two are mystic eye users by any chance?" Romani asked over comms as he was monitoring the fight from his end and detected signs of Mystic eyes.

"Doctor?" Mashu said, surprised by the sudden question.

"Correct. I have the Mystic eye's that let me kill anything with ease." Shiki said.

"And mine lets me twist the space around me." Fujino added.

Romani then explained what Mystic Eyes were in the world of mage craft for those not fluent with such topics. Sometimes a person is born with a gifted pair of eyes that project phenomena just like magecraft but without casting any spell or ritual. They just need to simply look to cast the latent magic within the eyes. The most popular types were: Binding, Compulsion, Contract, Flame and Jinx.

"Just from the Data I collected, I can safely say Ms Ryougi eyes are Rainbow Tier due to how they can materialize the concept of death thus allowing her to kill anything. It's pretty incredible actually. That something is fit for a divine spirit!" Romani said.

"...Ms. Asagami is also very impressive as she does not just twist the space near her. She can outright 'Throw' the twists at her target like a projectile. That explains why I am detecting the Archer class from her." Romani Continued as he wasn't going to leave the other Mystic eye bearers out of the spotlight. Even if she was blushing from all the attention.

After getting a brief lesson on mystic eyes. Shiki reveals her intentions to take down the nearby apartment building due to being filled with servants and monsters.

"I hope you watched horror movies. You know the deal…Things like walking corpses, ghosts you aren't supposed to see." She said before taking a pause and looking at the armoured servant.

"What about the demons?" VEGA asked.

"Those guys only just showed up recently. They must be attracted to the servants inside like the other monsters." Shiki explained.

"All because of the servants?" Mashu said, still wrapping her head around the current situation. It was still a mystery what brought them here in the first place.

"Yeah, Servants live in that apartment like it's their own. Thanks to them, it's all one big block party. I mean, Servant's are kinda like ghosts, right? If they gain a physical body, they can cause some trouble too ..." Shiki then grew reflective.

"...Well, as for myself and Asagami, we are also showing up as servants as well. Probably due to our connections to this city." Shiki said. Doomguy looked at the building, it just looked like your typical 21st-century build. But he could sense the wicked aura emanating from the place. He then blinks as he spots a figure jump from one of the nearby buildings and flies straight into one of the windows of the apartment in question. Doomguy quickly zooms in with his HUD only to get a glimpse of brownish-red hair before the person disappears into the building.

He only knew one person with that hair colour.

Well, he wasn't expecting to see her again so soon.

"Doomguy? You spot something?" Rituska said and he just shrugged. He wasn't sure that it was the woman he was thinking of….but a part of him hoped she was.

"...'Doomguy'? Is that really his name?" Fujino asked with a raised brow.

"Sorta, it's a nickname VEGA told us about. Short for 'Doom-Slayer' as his real name is still a mystery." Gudao said.

"So where does he come from exactly? His armour and guns are throwing me off." Shiki asked.

"To put it simply: He's a Demonslayer from another world." Ritsuka said.

"A…Demonslayer…." Fuijno said softly to herself as she glanced over at Doomguy who was sharpening his arm blade with his whetstone.

"...That sounds like something out of light-novel. But then again I can kill anything with my eyes so I guess I am just as crazy as him." Shiki commented before explaining the dangers inside, Lucky for her the masters were well-experienced in traps and murderous monsters. Romani had some concerns that the building had some anomalous traits that could harm the two but Shiki confirmed that the building itself was mostly harmless

"...But there are lots of enemies, and there are some funny traps." Shiki explained, causing everyone else to raise an eyebrow.

"Funny traps? What kind of traps?" Mashu asked.

"That will be a surprise. It was a questionable property from the start anyways." Shiki said.

"Questionable, how? Looks like just an apartment building." Ritsuka said looking over at the building.

"Here used to be the grave marker of an old mage who attempted to collect death. A hollow shrine that fused Yin-Yang and Hell together." The dark-haired woman added.

"Hmm. That must explain why the Demons are here. They must use the remnant of this world's concept of hell to breach this anomaly." VEGA concluded while getting a nod of approval from Shiki.

"I would assume so. Well, People say 'investigations start from the bottom right?', right?" Enjoy the case of Ritsuka, Gudao. Rookie Masters, Welcome to this 64-story shrine, Ogawa Heim." Shiki said before leading everyone into the building in order to solve this mystery of the lost servants and this strange anomaly that dragged Both her and Fujino along with it.

From a Duo to a Trio

As Chaldea investigates this new garden of death…Across dimensions at the sentinel homeworld of Argent D'nur. Nearby the ruins of Exultia, three servants of Earth were camped out in a cave recovering from the events of the London singularity.

"Ahhhhh…I really needed this after that hell of a battle!" Tamamo, The third and Final servant to receive the blessing of the Wraiths, said while sitting at a hot spring with Nero and Jeanne Alter.

"Umu! It is a shame that we weren't there to help but the demons up on the surface were running amok so we had to cull the horde while you were down there fighting." Nero said, sitting beside her in the spring.

After seeing Chaldea off, Tamamo thought she was the last servant to disappear as the singularity began to collapse.

During those moments she reminisces about her experience with Chaldea. Ritsuka, Gudao, Mashu…All of them were so brave for going on this perilous journey.

Thankfully they had The Doom-Slayer and VEGA helping them along their way. The Man and AI from another world…

When Tamamo first heard his story, fears of the past started to quell inside her thoughts. But the more she interacted and hung around the man she became less afraid and…More inspired in a way…

"Doomguy-sama accepted me…He had to already know of my past but he still trusted me after all that….Maybe…I don't have to be bound by my sins…If only I could do more."

"Would you like to do more?"

She then turned around to find two servants she had never seen before. One was clad in black while the other was in white.

"W-who are you?" Tamamo asked

"Servants who wish to help The Doom-Slayer" The one in white then offered her a blue orb of unknown energy.

"This power will let you remain without a master. If you really want to help him out, join us and we can put a dent in Hell's plans." The one in black explained.

Tamamo thought for a moment but then decided to make a difference in her life as a servant finally. Once she accepted the Blessing Jeanne alter, Nero took her to their little base of operations for some relaxation.

"...So, How was your experience with him?" Jeanne Alter asked, sitting across from them. Her yellow eyes studied there are members of their little strike force.

"With Doomguy-sama? Well…I will admit after learning about his status as a demon slayer I was a little bit worried. As you know humanity doesn't have the best opinion of me…Not that I can really blame them…" She said sheepishly.

"But, I guess I made a very good first impression when I saved Ritsuka from the toxic fog. Also, they met Tamamo Cat, the light representing the Light part of me." Tamamo explained her first experience with the slayer.

"Huh, You have alternate versions of yourself?" Nero asked, curious as she only knew the Dragon Witch as an alternate version of a heroic spirit.

"Unfortunately, yes. We…have a rocky relationship with each other. Counting myself there are nine Tamamo's." Kitsune explained.

"Wow. Shame that you don't get along. I am sure a master would love to have a harem of beautiful women." Nero said with pure honesty. Which caused both Tamamo and Jeanne Alter to stare blankly at her.

"What? I can't compliment a fellow beauty?" Nero said, raising a brow as her words were genuine. Jeanne Alter Shakes her head as Nero can be a bit of an airhead sometimes.

"...Anyways. Well, I don't think you have to worry too much Tamamo, You and Nero seem to be on his good side." Jeanne Alter said while looking down at her reflection in the water. The image of her "True" Self fades in and out from her perspective. Tamamo tilts her head in confusion and curiosity as she hasn't heard the story of the Dragon Witch.

"...I take it you weren't on the best terms with him?" Tamamo asked and Jeanne Alter nodded.

"I…was his enemy in the Orleans Singularity. Back then I was a Ruler so I had access to True Name Revelation. So I used it on him to find a weakness…" Jeanne Alter said, causing a burning urge of curiosity with the emperor of Roses.

"You mentioned this to me while we were hunting nests…So, may I ask this question: What did you see? I know it's wrong of me to ask but…It's just been burning inside me ever since then." Nero asked as she couldn't hold back the question any longer. Tamamo herself was about Chastise Nero for even asking such a thing but She herself had the same burning question in her mind.

What pushed that man onto such a conquest against unfathomable odds?

"..." Jeanne Alter didn't say anything as she thought about what she saw. The vision was still burned into her memory even as an Avenger.

"I am sorry…I should not have-"

"Loss." Jeanne Alter interrupted Nero.

"That is all I can say without getting a headache. Seriously, It felt like I was drowning in pain, anger and unending vengeance. All fueled by loss…" Jeanne Alter answered. Silence falls upon the trio Nero and Tamamo thought about what was revealed to them…

If it's the pain of loss that fueled his anger then they couldn't imagine the pain and suffering he experienced that created the man known as The Doomslayer.

Everyone Has a Dark Side

Back at the Ogawa Heim…Doomguy and the others were occupied by the first servant they found: The famous monk of Japanese origin, Benkei.

"Unacceptable! You all mastered Ugliness instead of wisdom! How dare you! I will eliminate you all!" he shouted with venom in his voice that replaced the calm and collected nature of the man who was known for his legendary guardian combat stance.

Doomguy was currently holding him back while the others tried to reason with the enraged servant.

"Benkei! Please listen to us, you are not yourself!" Gudao called out.

"Come on! Benkei! You are stronger than this!" Ristuka pleaded, but neither of their words seemed to reach Benkei.

"Slience! You two are nothing but weak heretics that have abandoned the heavens. I should've never answered your summons! How can the world be saved by two-GAH!"

Doomguy had enough and stabbed his blade through Benkei's chest. The servant falls to the ground as The Slayer pulls the blood-soaked blade out. To the shock of the Masters and Mashu seeing Doomguy kill one of their own so swiftly. Benkei's body disappeared.

"W-why? Why did you do that…We are here to save them, not kill them." Gudao said still recovering from what happened while Ritsuka remained silently looking away from what happened.

"I am afraid this is the only solution we have." VEGA said.

"Is it really?" Mashu asked, still unsure.

"Guys, Remember. When a contract is bound to Chaldea the defeated spirit origin doesn't return to the Throne of Heroes, but to Chaldea instead. Given some time, he'll return to base and be his normal self again." Romani reminded them that the death of a Chaldean servant isn't a permanent status. Barring some extreme circumstances, Most spirit origins can be recovered after falling in battle.

"We still don't know why he was in that room, but it seems that you just freed a servant," Romani concluded and Gudao looked apologetic at Doomguy as if he was wrong to shout at the man.

Doomguy just waved his hand, he wasn't offended and understood the master's reaction. Not all situations can be solved peacefully…at least now they have a solution.

"He was rather aggressive. Fortunately he'll be far from this place now," Fujino said as Shiki scanned the room for any clues.

"It may be a little violent, but if a Servant attacks us, we'll face them as enemies. Looks like that's our best option in this apartment. Do you understand?" Romani said. The masters and Mashu looked at each other and nodded in agreement. This was their only option and they did similar things in the past with possessed servants.

"I am Glad you are adapting to this. I understand that it is hard to do this to a friend of yours but we can't let that stuff get to you. It's been like this in place all the time so it's best to keep a positive mindset while we continue our investigation." Shiki said while finishing her search that it revealed nothing of note.

"She's right. We need to keep focus. There has to be a reason our friends are acting like this and we'll put a stop to it." Ristuka said while giving a nod to Doomguy, signalling that she was better now and won't stop him from fighting.

Everyone then exited the room with Doomguy being the last one. He knew that this was going to be a difficult task for them so he'll do his best to put their allies out of their suffering as swiftly as possible.

As they exited the room they were reminded of the smell of decaying zombie corpses from the huge fight in the foyer of the place. They were greeted by a horde of zombies right at the entrance and it was quite a messy battle. It also Didn't help that Doomguy's and Fujino's attacks caused Ichor to be sent flying everywhere.

…It was also odd how unfazed Fujino was about the whole thing. Even Shiki commented on how brutal Doomguy was.

"...Hey Ritsuka. Can I borrow that mask for a bit." Gudao asked.

"Nope." She said with a deadpan tone as she swiftly put it on. Surprisingly it also suppresses disgusting smells as well as filtering toxic substances

"...Figures…" he mumbled.

"It was made for her, Senpai. Maybe we can request The Wretch to make another one for you later." Mashu said, sighing at her master's antics.

"Who is 'The Wretch'. It's a strange name to be calling someone." Fujino asked.

"Oh, he's a Demon that sided with Doomguy. He made me this Gasmask to help me during a previous mission" Ritsuka said plainly. The red mystic-eye user looks over at Doomguy who nods proving that the girl's words were true.

'...A Demon Slayer that made one side with him…How is that even possible?' Fujino thought to herself.

"Is there a problem?" Ritsuka asked, noticing the thousand-yard stare she had.

"O-oh! It's nothing! I am just amazed that a Demon decided to side with him. That's all!" Fujino stammered, causing Shiki to laugh a bit.

"H-hey! It's not funny!" Fujino scoffed at her noir-haired woman.

"Relax Asagami. I get it, he's weird as hell." She said,

Doomguy and VEGA look at each other after that comment. Compared to them, The two girls with mystical eyes were the more weird ones here.

AN: Here we go into the first collab event of FGO! This event is was got me into the Garden of Sinners movie series in the first place. Now we have Doomguy in the mix as well as Fujino!

I decided to have Fujino Asagami play a part in the collab as the poor girl barely got ANY attention until the Summer camp event but even then it wasn't technically her in the spotlight. (Also she only had two times where you could roll for her) So I am going to give her some much-needed justice as a character and it works well since her family history is full of Demon hunting. The more pain inflicted upon demons the Better in Doomguy's book.

On the Argent d'Nur side of things, as some of you guess, Tamamo is now a part of the little group set up by Novik to assist The Slayer. (Still working on a name for it) For now, it will remain the three just to keep things manageable, but that doesn't mean more wouldn't mind joining in the future. The Slayer ain't one to complain about having more Firepower on his side. Be it Guns or magic BS. Just don't be arse around him.

So that is all for now! The collab will be treated as a normal story section so expect some more action with Shiki and Fujino!

Have a nice day!
