Who would Halt choose, would it be Will or Gilan? And what would happen if the choice wasn't even Halt, but made on his behalf? The best one, of course, but who is that?

Lady Pauline is undoubtably the strongest woman in Redmont Fief, if not the entire kingdom of Araluen. It’s how she has accomplished all she has and made it where she is. But there are limits to strength and sometimes you just need someone to be there for you when you reach them. And a condolence gift is nice, too.

The annual Ranger Gathering has just started, and Will is looking forward to spending time with Halt and Gilan, the ones he sees as his family. This year however, the Gathering is not as calm as they might have wished, and they have a new problem to tackle... Fortunately, our Rangers are nothing if not good at tackling a new and strange situation.
