SEASON 2 SPOILERS. It's only been 4 days since the Fold was destroyed and Nikolai is getting ready for his coronation which is to take place in a matter of hours. As he looks at his reflection, he reflects upon himself and the events of the past few months, only to find a darkness living inside of him.

SEASON 2 SPOILERS The tragedy at the Spinning Wheel left Nikolai without a brother and a father and with the new role of King to take on. But knowing his family's natures, and the way they always treated him, do they really deserve his grief?

He should be used to it by now, the no time for rest, no time for feelings. Aka, Nikolai's thoughts throughout the last two episodes. With plenty of whump.
