The tears flowed freely down her cheeks. How had gone from being one of the best nights of her life to be crying with a heart full of sorrow?
Everything had started well. Viktor had been invited her to the ball and she had been more than happy. Of course, nobody believed her when she said she already had a partner, and she had died of satisfaction when she entered to the great room and saw the faces of disbelief from their partners. She had even enjoyed a glass or two of the delicious punch prepared by the elves! What he had ruined it all? Ah, yes, the stupid of her friend Ron Weasley.
She knew he was jealous. Even a blind man could see that. But why did not admit it?
She kept wondering to herself what she had seen on him on the first time. Maybe his stupid smile and his sense of humor. But she was tired. Tired of being hurt again and again. So it was decided. She would get over it and continue with her life as usual.
She wiped her tears with the back of his hand and stared at the lake in front of her.
She heard someone announcing the last dance. More tears came out of their eyes even if she was trying stopping them.
Suddenly, he felt a hand lay on his shoulder. Startled, she turned and was surprised to see Harry smiling and with a worried look on his face.
The girl shook her head, as saying to say that everything was fine, and nothing happened. No words were needed between them.
- Will you dance with Hermione? - He said simply.
At first she thought of refusing. The song of the Great Hall was finished and they had to return to their dormitories. However, before realizing what she was doing, she nodded.
As the two settled into each other's arms, Hermione realized how strange would be dancing without music and she said it to his companion.
- We don't dance without music - he answered, whispering in her ear and sending chills through her body -. We move to the Sound of Wind.
