"You shouldn't have sprayed him in the first place." Annabeth sensibly said as she fed me a spoonful of nectar, her gray eyes were dark with worry as she studied my current, broken condition. This scene that played out in front of me was too familiar. The nectar tasted like my mother's homemade cookies. That comforted me slightly, though.

It was late in the afternoon; I saw that the warm sun making its descent from the sky. Annabeth and I were both in the Infirmary because I had gotten pretty beat up after arguing and fighting with a kid of Ares. He ticked me off and...I don't know. I just lost it. But, Annabeth managed to break it up. She was telling me how bad the fight was because after, it took a lot for me to remember what had happened.

As she gave me my final spoonful of nectar, she patiently explained to me what happened. Apparently, Annabeth and I were practicing our sword fighting and Jake, one of Clarisse's lovely half-brothers, came over to us because he saw us. He started to bash my sword fighting technique for no reason, and that's when everything got out of line. Annabeth told me that I instantly became angry. Harsh words, (some in Greek), were thrown in the air. She also expressed her frustration when she told me that I squirted him in the face with a nice, cold splash of water. We were near Canoe Lake at the time.

Annabeth barely managed to catch me when I fell to the ground from the impact of the blow against my nose because of Jake's fist. Annabeth wiped that grin off of Jake's face by returning the same intensity of a punch back to him. I gave her a surprised look at what she did, but she only shook her head, saying that it was because his move was unnecessary.

"But, then again," She contemplated as she placed the spoon down. "So was yours." She made me feel even worse about this whole situation.

She continued to tell me that Chiron broke this short fight up. Nevertheless, she was proud that she made his nose break; I could feel the heat of Jake's angry stare from the end of the Infirmary, even if Annabeth was blocking my view of him. I gulped; the list of the people who hated me grew by one more.

However, this experience made me learn that this is another reason why I love her: she was always calm, knowing what to do in those kinds of situations.

Once she was done telling the story, she then started to smile at me, mostly through my ridiculousness; she wiped some blood away from the bottom of my nose. Naturally, the water on that towel helped me feel a little better, but I swear that that smile always makes my heart beat a little faster. No matter how much water she may dump on me, or I may spray on other people, her smile is no comparison.
